Owing to attractive characteristics of high carrier mobility and surface-volume ratio, they have potential to be an ideal candidate for next-generation gas sensors. Hence, we report the CH3NH3PbI3-based gas sensors fabricated using a one-step spin-coating method for nitrogen dioxide (NO2) detection. The prepared sensor demonstrates stable performances with a sensing response of 26.2% and response time of 70s to 10 ppm NO2 at room temperature. It exhibits obvious response to NO2 at a low concentration of 2 ppm. The possible mechanism for gas absorption/desorption on perovskite films is also investigated. Our findings highlight the promising potential of the CH3NH3PbI3-based gas sensors, OHPs may be a novel active material for room temperature gas sensing applications.
