It failed in a non-srcdir build because those 5 sample output
files were not included in the distribution tarball. Include them.

virExec will write out the pid of the daemonized process only. Use this
in the QEMU driver, rather than QEMU's pidfile, so we can catch errors we
might miss if the emulator bails early.
Seems like a simple typo - it has been "format=" since the flag
was introduced, but we added it as "fmt=".

were not being tested, since a space had snuck between the
leading "#" and the "param = value" parts.
Apply each RHS-value-perturbing transformation
separately, not in series.
Let VERBOSE=yes turn on debugging.
Be more verbose by default, since this is a relatively
long-running test.
