When CONFIG_DEBUG_ICEDCC is set, we don't use the platform
specific putc() function, but use icedcc_putc() instead, so
putc is unused and causes a compile time warning:
In file included from ../arch/arm/boot/compressed/misc.c:28:0:
arch/arm/mach-rpc/include/mach/uncompress.h:79:13: warning: 'putc' defined but not used [-Wunused-function]
arch/arm/mach-w90x900/include/mach/uncompress.h:30:13: warning: 'putc' defined but not used [-Wunused-function]
On most platforms, this does not happen, because putc is defined
as 'static inline' so the compiler will automatically drop it
when it's unused.
This changes the remaining seven platforms to behave the same way.

set_irq_flags is ARM specific with custom flags which have genirq
equivalents. Convert drivers to use the genirq interfaces directly, so we
can kill off set_irq_flags. The translation of flags is as follows:
IRQF_VALID -> !IRQ_NOREQUEST
IRQF_PROBE -> !IRQ_NOPROBE
IRQF_NOAUTOEN -> IRQ_NOAUTOEN
For IRQs managed by an irqdomain, the irqdomain core code handles clearing
and setting IRQ_NOREQUEST already, so there is no need to do this in
.map() functions and we can simply remove the set_irq_flags calls. Some
users also modify IRQ_NOPROBE and this has been maintained although it
is not clear that is really needed. There appears to be a great deal of
blind copy and paste of this code.

I recently did a rework of the smc91x driver and did some build-testing
by compiling hundreds of randconfig kernels. Unfortunately, my script

and fixed all the typos, this is the result.

The smc91x driver traditionally gets configured at compile-time
for whichever hardware it runs on. This no longer works on
ARM as we continue to move to building all-in-one kernels.
Most ARM configurations with this driver already use run-time
configuration through DT or through platform_data, but a
few have not been converted yet.
I've checked all ARM boards that use this driver in their
legacy board files, and converted the ones that were using
compile-time configuration in smc91x.h to behave like the
other ones and provide the interrupt polarity along with
the MMIO configuration (width, stride) at platform device
creation time.
In particular, these combinations were previously selectable
in Kconfig but in fact broken:
- sa1100 assabet plus pleb
- msm combined with any other armv6/v7 platform
- pxa-idp combined with any non-DMA pxa variant
- LogicPD PXA270 combined with any other pxa
- nomadik combined with any other armv4/v5 platform,
e.g. versatile.
None of these seem critical enough to warrant a backport
to stable, but it would be nice to clean this up for good.

StrongARM core uses RCSR SMR bit to tell to bootloader that it was reset
by entering the sleep mode. After we have resumed, there is little point
in having that bit enabled. Moreover, if this bit is set before reboot,
the bootloader can become confused. Thus clear the SMR bit on resume
just before clearing the scratchpad (resume address) register.

Low GPIO pins use an interrupt in SC interrupts space. However it's
possible to handle them as if all the GPIO interrupts are instead tied
to single GPIO handler, which later decodes GEDR register and
chain-calls next IRQ handler. So split first 11 interrupts into system
part (IRQ_GPIO0_SC - IRQ_GPIO10_SC) which work exactly like the rest of
system controller interrupts and real GPIO interrupts
(IRQ_GPIO0..IRQ_GPIO10). A single handler sa1100_gpio_handler then
decodes and calls next handler.

While there normally is no reason to have a pull request for asm-generic
but have all changes get merged through whichever tree needs them, I do
have a series for 3.19. There are two sets of patches that change
significant portions of asm/io.h, and this branch contains both in order
to resolve the conflicts:
- Will Deacon has done a set of patches to ensure that all architectures
define {read,write}{b,w,l,q}_relaxed() functions or get them by
including asm-generic/io.h. These functions are commonly used on ARM
specific drivers to avoid expensive L2 cache synchronization implied by
the normal {read, write}{b,w,l,q}, but we need to define them on all
architectures in order to share the drivers across architectures and
to enable CONFIG_COMPILE_TEST configurations for them
- Thierry Reding has done an unrelated set of patches that extends
the asm-generic/io.h file to the degree necessary to make it useful
on ARM64 and potentially other architectures.

Both SA1100 framebuffer and PCMCIA drivers require knowledge of cpu
frequency to correctly program timings. Currently they receive timing
information by calling cpufreq_get(0). However if cpu frequency driver
is not enabled (e.g. due to unsupported DRAM chip/board on sa1110)
cpufreq_get(0) returns 0, causing incorrect timings to be programmed.
Add cpu clock returning cpu frequency, to be used by sa11x0 fb and
pcmcia drivers.

Use gpio-charger driver instead of pda-power: it automatically cares
about used gpio and since collie does not differentiate between usb and
ac chargers, pda-power is an overkill for it.
As a bonus this allows us to remove gpio_to_irq calls from machine init

registered later, via device driver mechanisms.

The platforms selecting NEED_MACH_MEMORY_H defined the start address of
their physical memory in the respective <mach/memory.h>. With
ARM_PATCH_PHYS_VIRT=y (which is quite common today) this is useless
though because the definition isn't used but determined dynamically.
So remove the definitions from all <mach/memory.h> and provide the
Kconfig symbol PHYS_OFFSET with the respective defaults in case
ARM_PATCH_PHYS_VIRT isn't enabled.
This allows to drop the dependency of PHYS_OFFSET on !NEED_MACH_MEMORY_H
which prevents compiling an integrator nommu-kernel.
(CONFIG_PAGE_OFFSET which has "default PHYS_OFFSET if !MMU" expanded to
"0x" because CONFIG_PHYS_OFFSET doesn't exist as INTEGRATOR selects
NEED_MACH_MEMORY_H.)

(See patch "mfd: include all drivers in subsystem menu".)
After fixing the MFD Kconfig (separate patch) a compile error
appears in the Collie battery driver due to the <mach/collie.h>

Both h3100 and h3600 request UART gpios during init_machine time. As
sa1100 gpio driver is going to become proper machine driver, move gpio
handling to UART port functions. Request all gpios using gpio_request
array once and then guard them from rerequesting with bool variable.

Pull ACPI and power management updates from Rafael Wysocki:
"As far as the number of commits goes, the top spot belongs to ACPI
this time with cpufreq in the second position and a handful of PM
core, PNP and cpuidle updates. They are fixes and cleanups mostly, as
usual, with a couple of new features in the mix.
The most visible change is probably that we will create struct
acpi_device objects (visible in sysfs) for all devices represented in
the ACPI tables regardless of their status and there will be a new
sysfs attribute under those objects allowing user space to check that
status via _STA.
Consequently, ACPI device eject or generally hot-removal will not
delete those objects, unless the table containing the corresponding
namespace nodes is unloaded, which is extremely rare. Also ACPI
container hotplug will be handled quite a bit differently and cpufreq
will support CPU boost ("turbo") generically and not only in the
acpi-cpufreq driver.
Specifics:
- ACPI core changes to make it create a struct acpi_device object for
every device represented in the ACPI tables during all namespace
scans regardless of the current status of that device. In
accordance with this, ACPI hotplug operations will not delete those
objects, unless the underlying ACPI tables go away.

There are some parts of common kernel which would be using routines
like clk_get_rate() on some platforms. Currently, they wouldn't be
called for SA1100 boards, but they are needed for successful kernel
compilation.
Create a dummy clk_get_rate() routine for SA1100 which can be called
by the cpufreq core. More dummy routines might be added later if
necessary.

While <mach/timex.h> isn't used for multi-platform builds since long it
still is for "normal" builds. As the previous patches fix all sites to
not make use of this per-platform file, it can go now for good also for
platforms that are not (yet) converted to multi-platform.
While at it there are no users of CLOCK_TICK_RATE any more, so also drop
the dummy #define.

substituting CLOCK_TICK_RATE and LATCH by a local cpp symbol.

The codec reset pin is connected to several peripherals. When the
reset is released, unfortunately the ADV7171 powers itself up rather
than remaining in power-down mode. As we don't have a driver for
this device, we end up needlessly consuming an additional 330mW.
Not only that but we should have a way to arbitrate the reset signal.
This patch provides that facility: we program the ADV7171 to sleep
mode whenever the reset is released, and we release the reset when
any one of the three peripherals requests the reset to be released.

The SA1100 was implementing its own variants of gpio_get_value()
and gpio_set_value() and only selectively falling back to
gpiolib for extended (EGPIO) handling. However the driver in
gpio/gpio-sa1100.c already handles the same functionality for
these lines, yet remain unused.
The only upside would be things like a timing-critical hotpath
on bit-banged GPIO, but that kind of things does not seem to
happen on these GPIOs, so it is not worth having the extra
complexity.
Tested with some buttons on the Compaq iPAQ H3630.

When removing the complex GPIO interface from the SA1100 machines,
we also removed the implicit #includes for a few header files
that was included by <linux/gpio.h> thru <mach/gpio.h>, causing
a compile warning on the simpad boardfile, as <asm/irq.h> was no
longer #included, as follows:
./../arch/arm/include/asm/irq.h:9:0: warning: "NR_IRQS" redefined
[enabled by default]
#define NR_IRQS NR_IRQS_LEGACY
^
In file included from ../../arch/arm/mach-sa1100/simpad.c:29:0:
../../arch/arm/mach-sa1100/include/mach/irqs.h:87:0: note: this is the
location of the previous definition
#define NR_IRQS (IRQ_BOARD_START + NR_IRQS_LOCOMO)
This resolves the problem by explicitly including <asm/irq.h>
into the simpad boardfile.

Currently, the prototype of cpufreq_drivers target routines is:
int target(struct cpufreq_policy *policy, unsigned int target_freq,
unsigned int relation);
And most of the drivers call cpufreq_frequency_table_target() to get a valid
index of their frequency table which is closest to the target_freq. And they
don't use target_freq and relation after that.
So, it makes sense to just do this work in cpufreq core before calling
cpufreq_frequency_table_target() and simply pass index instead. But this can be
done only with drivers which expose their frequency table with cpufreq core. For
others we need to stick with the old prototype of target() until those drivers
are converted to expose frequency tables.
This patch implements the new light weight prototype for target_index() routine.
It looks like this:
int target_index(struct cpufreq_policy *policy, unsigned int index);
CPUFreq core will call cpufreq_frequency_table_target() before calling this
routine and pass index to it. Because CPUFreq core now requires to call routines
present in freq_table.c CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_TABLE must be enabled all the time.
This also marks target() interface as deprecated. So, that new drivers avoid
using it. And Documentation is updated accordingly.
It also converts existing .target() to newly defined light weight
.target_index() routine for many driver.

Most of the CPUFreq drivers do similar things in .exit() and .verify() routines
and .attr. So its better if we have generic routines for them which can be used
by cpufreq drivers then.
This patch uses these generic routines in the sa11x0 driver.

This patch exposes sa11x0's frequency table to cpufreq core. It always existed
but not as an array frequencies and not in the format cpufreq core wants it to.
Also it was present in the unit of 100kHz earlier which is made consistent with
cpufreq core now, i.e. kHz.

policy->cpus contains all online cpus that have single shared clock line. And
their frequencies are always updated together.
Many SMP system's cpufreq drivers take care of this in individual drivers but
the best place for this code is in cpufreq core.

all cpus in policy->cpus and hence updates all users of this API.

A large number of cleanups, all over the platforms. This is dominated
largely by the Samsung platforms (s3c, s5p, exynos) and a few of the
others moving code out of arch/arm into more appropriate subsystems.
The clocksource and irqchip drivers are now abstracted to the point
where platforms that are already cleaned up do not need to even specify
the driver they use, it can all get configured from the device tree
as we do for normal device drivers. The clocksource changes basically
touch every single platform in the process.
We further clean up the use of platform specific header files here,
with the goal of turning more of the platforms over to being
"multiplatform" enabled, which implies that they cannot expose
their headers to architecture independent code any more.
It is expected that no functional changes are part of the cleanup.
The overall reduction in total code lines is mostly the result of
removing broken and obsolete code.
