Gregory CLEMENT ccc0d3850b usb: host: Allow to build ehci orion with mvebu SoCs
The mvebu ARM64 SoCs no longer select PLAT_ORION. However Armada 37xx use
the Orion EHCI controller. This patch allows the Orion EHCI driver to be
built when ARCH_MVEBU is selected.

instead of defining all functions as static inlines,
let's move them to udc-core and export them with
EXPORT_SYMBOL_GPL, that way we can make sure that
only GPL drivers will use them.

As a side effect, it'll be nicer to add tracepoints
to the gadget API.

While at that, also fix Kconfig dependencies to
avoid randconfig build failures.

Yoshihiro Shimoda f879fc32aa usb: host: xhci-rcar: Avoid long wait in xhci_reset()
The firmware of R-Car USB 3.0 host controller will control the reset.
So, if the xhci driver doesn't do firmware downloading (e.g. kernel
configuration is CONFIG_USB_XHCI_PLATFORM=y and CONFIG_USB_XHCI_RCAR
is not set), the reset of USB 3.0 host controller doesn't work
correctly. Then, the host controller will cause long wait in
xhci_reset() because the CMD_RESET bit of op_regs->command is not
cleared for 10 seconds.

So, this patch modifies the Kconfig to enable both CONFIG_USB_XHCI_PLATFORM
and CONFIG_USB_XHCI_RCAR.

Thierry Reding e84fce0f88 usb: xhci: Add NVIDIA Tegra XUSB controller driver
Add support for the on-chip XUSB controller present on Tegra SoCs. This
controller, when loaded with external firmware, exposes an interface
compliant with xHCI. This driver loads the firmware, starts the
controller, and is able to service host-specific messages sent by the
controller's firmware.

The controller also supports USB device mode as well as powergating
of the SuperSpeed and host-controller logic when not in use, but
support for these is not yet implemented.

Arnd Bergmann d0fc35bc08 usb: fsl: drop USB_FSL_MPH_DR_OF Kconfig symbol
The USB_FSL_MPH_DR_OF symbol is used to ensure the code that interprets
the DR device node is built whenever one of the two drivers (EHCI or
UDC) for the platform is enabled. However, if CONFIG_USB is disabled
and we only support gadget mode, this causes a Kconfig warning:

warning: (USB_FSL_USB2) selects USB_FSL_MPH_DR_OF which has unmet direct dependencies (USB_SUPPORT && USB)

We can avoid this warning by simply no longer using the symbol,
and making sure we enter the drivers/usb/host/ directory when
the UDC driver is enabled that needs the file, and then we use
Makefile syntax to ensure the file is built-in if needed.

There is currently a dependency on CONFIG_OF, but this is redundant,
as we already know that this is set unconditionally for the platforms
that use this driver.

Linus Torvalds 79d245327f ARM: SoC support for Tegra platforms for v4.5
Here's a single-SoC topic branch that we've staged separately. Mainly
because it was hard to sort the branch contents in a way that fit our
existing branches due to some refactorings.

The code has been in -next for quite a while, but we staged it in arm-soc
a bit late, which is why we've kept it separate from the other updates
and are sending it separately here.

Chunfeng Yun 0cbd4b34cd xhci: mediatek: support MTK xHCI host controller
There some vendor quirks for MTK xhci host controller:
1. It defines some extra SW scheduling parameters for HW
to minimize the scheduling effort for synchronous and
interrupt endpoints. The parameters are put into reseved
DWs of slot context and endpoint context.
2. Its IMODI unit for Interrupter Moderation register is
8 times as much as that defined in xHCI spec.
3. Its TDS in Normal TRB defines a number of packets that
remains to be transferred for a TD after processing all
Max packets in all previous TRBs.

Arnd Bergmann a262e87ff3 ARM: tegra: select USB_ULPI from EHCI rather than platform
For historic reasons, the tegra platform selects USB_ULPI from architecture
code, but that hasn't really made sense for a long time, as the only
user of that code is the Tegra EHCI driver that has its own Kconfig
symbol.

This removes the 'select' statements from mach-tegra and drivers/soc/tegra
and adds them with the device driver that actually needs them.

Ben Hutchings df115f3ee9 MIPS: Octeon: Set OHCI and EHCI MMIO byte order to match CPU
The Octeon OHCI is now supported by the ohci-platform driver, and
USB_OCTEON_OHCI is marked as deprecated. However, it is currently
still necessary to enable it in order to select
USB_OHCI_BIG_ENDIAN_MMIO. Make CPU_CAVIUM_OCTEON select that as well,
so that USB_OCTEON_OHCI is really obsolete.

The old ohci-octeon and ehci-octeon drivers also only enabled big-endian
MMIO in case the CPU was big-endian. Make the selections of
USB_EHCI_BIG_ENDIAN_MMIO and USB_OHCI_BIG_ENDIAN_MMIO conditional, to
match this.

part of it.

This moves the dependency for LPC32xx into USB_OHCI_HCD_LPC32XX,
and changes the 'select ISP1301_OMAP' to a similar 'depends on'.
Since the same dependency exists for the client driver, do the
same change there.

Arnd Bergmann 068413e9b7 usb: ohci-da8xx can only be built-in
The PHY setup code of the TI DaVinci DA8xx OHCI controller
uses ad-hoc register access using a pointer that is meant to
be used only by the DaVinci platform implementation and that
is intentionally not exported to loadable modules. This results
in a link error on configurations that use a modular OHCI
code on this platform.

While the proper solution for this problem would be to
implement a real PHY driver shared by ohci-da8xx and musb-da8xx,
this patch for now just works around the build error by
only allowing the ohci-da8xx code to be built-in.
