Milo Kim 5812c13a4e backlight: lp855x_bl: support new LP8555 device
LP8555 is one of the LP855x family devices.

This device needs pre_init_device() and post_init_device() driver
structure. It's same as LP8557, so the device configuration code is
shared with LP8557. Backlight outputs are generated from dual DC-DC boost
converters. It's configurable EPROM settings which are defined in the
platform data.

Driver documentation and device tree bindings are updated.

Linus Torvalds c2d3306991 GPIO bulk changes for the v3.13 development cycle
- Merged the GPIO descriptor API from Alexandre Courbot.
This is a first step toward trying to get rid of the
global GPIO numberspace for the future.

 - Add an API so that driver can flag that a certain GPIO
line is being used by a irqchip backend for generating
IRQs, so that we can enforce checks, like not allowing
users to switch that line to an output at runtime, since
this makes no sense. Implemented corresponding calls
   in a few select drivers.

 - ACPI GPIO cleanups, refactorings and switch to using the
   descriptor-based interface.

 - Support for the TPS80036 Palmas GPIO variant.

 - A new driver for the Broadcom Kona GPIO SoC IP block.

 - Device tree support for the PCF857x driver.

 - A set of ARM GPIO refactorings with the goal of getting
rid of a bunch of custom GPIO implementations from the
   arch/arm/* tree:

   - Move the IOP GPIO driver to the GPIO subsystem and
fix all users to use the gpiolib API for accessing
GPIOs. Delete the old custom GPIO implementation.

   - Delete the unused custom PXA GPIO implemention.

   - Convert all users of the IXP4 custom GPIO
implementation to use gpiolib and delete the custom
     implementation.

   - Delete the custom Gemini GPIO implementation, also
     completely unused.

 - Various cleanups and renamings.

Pull GPIO changes from Linus Walleij:
"Here is the bulk of GPIO changes for the v3.13 development cycle.

I've got ACKs for the things that affect other subsystems (or it's my
own subsystem, like pinctrl). Most of that pertain to an attempt from
my side to consolidate and get rid of custom GPIO implementations in
the ARM tree. I will continue doing this.

The main change this time is the new GPIO descriptor API, background
for this can be found in Corbet's summary from this january in LWN:

    http://lwn.net/Articles/533632/

  Summary:

   - Merged the GPIO descriptor API from Alexandre Courbot. This is a

   - Add an API so that driver can flag that a certain GPIO line is

Linus Torvalds 8a5dc585d5 Main pin control pull request for the v3.13 cycle:
- Blackfin ADI pin control driver, we move yet another
   architecture under this subsystem umbrella.

 - Incremental updates to the Renesas Super-H PFC pin control
driver. New subdriver for the r8a7791 SoC.

 - Non-linear GPIO ranges from the gpiolib side of things,
this enabled simplified device tree bindings by referring
entire groups of pins on some pin controller to act as
   back-end for a certain GPIO-chip driver.

 - Add the Abilis TB10x pin control driver used on the ARC
architecture. Also the corresponding GPIO driver is merged
through this tree, so the ARC has full support for pins
   and GPIOs after this.

 - Subdrivers for Freescale i.MX1, i.MX27 and i.MX50 pin
controller instances. The i.MX1 and i.MX27 is an entirely
new family (silicon) of controllers whereas i.MX50 is
a variant of the previous supported controller.

     from drivers.
   * A refresh of the documentation.
   * Conversions of many drivers to direct regmap API usage in order to
allow the ASoC level register I/O code to be removed, this will

Linus Torvalds f095ca6b31 spi: Updates for v3.13
As well as the usual driver updates and cleanups there's a few
 improvements to the core here:

  - The start of some improvements to factor out more of the SPI message
loop into the core. Right now this is just simplifying the code a
bit but hopefully next time around we'll also have managed to roll
out some noticable performance improvements which drivers can take
    advantage of.
  - Support for loading modules for ACPI enumerated SPI devices.
  - Managed registration for SPI controllers.
  - Helper for another common I/O pattern.

Linus Torvalds c6d65bf246 regulator: Updates for v3.13
Lots of driver updates here plus some nice new core features, the main
 one being the first:

  - Enable support for providing a dummy regulator when we know that one
must exist for the device to be functional. This makes it much
easier to add regulator support to drivers since we don't require
that the machine integration for all systems using the device be
    updated to provide regulators.
  - Substantial reduction in the amount of busy waiting done while
    waiting for enables to complete.
  - Allow MFDs to distribute regulator supplies to child devices so we
don't have to expose the internal structure of MFDs outside of the
    driver.
  - Managed registeration for regulators.

Linus Torvalds f9efbce633 ARM: SoC DT updates for 3.13
Most of this branch consists of updates, additions and general churn of
the device tree source files in the kernel (arch/arm/boot/dts). Besides
that, there are a few things to point out:

 - Lots of platform conversion on OMAP2+, with removal of old board files
   for various platforms.
 - Final conversion of a bunch of ux500 (ST-Ericsson) platforms as well
 - Some updates to pinctrl and other subsystems. Most of these are for
DT-enablement of the various platforms and acks have been collected.

Felipe Balbi c9aeb249bf Input: ti_am335x_tsc - fix spelling mistake in TSC/ADC DT binding
There was a spelling mistake on TSC/ADC binding where "coordinate" was
spelled as "coordiante".

We can't simply fix the error due to DT being an ABI, the approach taken
was to first use correct spelling and if that fails, fall back to
miss-spelled version.

It's unfortunate that has creeped into the tree.

 - imx cleanups and updates across the board
 - A rename of Broadcom's Mobile platforms which were introduced as ARCH_BCM,

 - A whole bunch of updates and fixes for integrator, making the platform code
more modern and switches over to DT-only booting.
 - Support for two new Renesas shmobile chipsets. Next up for them is more work
on consolidation instead of introduction of new non-multiplatform SoCs, we're
   all looking forward to that!
 - Misc cleanups for older Samsung platforms, some Allwinner updates, etc.

Pekon Gupta c66d039197 mtd: nand: omap: combine different flavours of 1-bit hamming ecc schemes
OMAP NAND driver currently supports multiple flavours of 1-bit Hamming
ecc-scheme, like:
- OMAP_ECC_HAMMING_CODE_DEFAULT
1-bit hamming ecc code using software library
- OMAP_ECC_HAMMING_CODE_HW
	1-bit hamming ecc-code using GPMC h/w engine
- OMAP_ECC_HAMMING_CODE_HW_ROMCODE
1-bit hamming ecc-code using GPMC h/w engin with ecc-layout compatible
	to ROM code.

This patch combines above multiple ecc-schemes into single implementation:
- OMAP_ECC_HAM1_CODE_HW
1-bit hamming ecc-code using GPMC h/w engine with ROM-code compatible
	ecc-layout.

Pekon Gupta ac65caf514 ARM: OMAP2+: cleaned-up DT support of various ECC schemes
OMAP NAND driver support multiple ECC scheme, which can used in different
flavours, depending on in-build Hardware engines present on SoC.

This patch updates following in DT bindings related to sectionion of ecc-schemes
- ti,elm-id: replaces elm_id (maintains backward compatibility)
- ti,nand-ecc-opts: selection of h/w or s/w implementation of an ecc-scheme
	depends on ti,elm-id. (supported values ham1, bch4, and bch8)
- maintain backward compatibility to deprecated DT bindings (sw, hw, hw-romcode)

Below table shows different flavours of ecc-schemes supported by OMAP devices
+---------------------------------------+---------------+---------------+
| ECC scheme |ECC calculation|Error detection|
+---------------------------------------+---------------+---------------+
|OMAP_ECC_HAM1_CODE_HW |H/W (GPMC) |S/W |
+---------------------------------------+---------------+---------------+
|OMAP_ECC_BCH8_CODE_HW_DETECTION_SW |H/W (GPMC) |S/W |
|(requires CONFIG_MTD_NAND_ECC_BCH) | | |
+---------------------------------------+---------------+---------------+
|OMAP_ECC_BCH8_CODE_HW |H/W (GPMC) |H/W (ELM) |
|(requires CONFIG_MTD_NAND_OMAP_BCH &&  |               |               |
| ti,elm-id in DT) | | |
+---------------------------------------+---------------+---------------+

To optimize footprint of omap2-nand driver, selection of some ECC schemes
also require enabling following Kconfigs, in addition to setting appropriate
DT bindings
- Kconfig:CONFIG_MTD_NAND_ECC_BCH error detection done in software
- Kconfig:CONFIG_MTD_NAND_OMAP_BCH error detection done by h/w engine

Linus Torvalds 0b1e73ed22 Staging driver update for 3.13-rc1
Here's the big drivers/staging/ update for 3.13-rc1.

Nothing major here, just a _ton_ of fixes and cleanups, mostly driven by
the new round of OPW applicants, but also there are lots of other people
doing staging tree cleanups these days in order to help get the drivers
 into mergable shape.

We also merge, and then revert, the ktap code, as Ingo and the other
perf/ftrace developers feel it should go into the "real" part of the
kernel with only a bit more work, so no need to put it in staging for
 now.

Grant Likely 79d9701559 of/irq: create interrupts-extended property
The standard interrupts property in device tree can only handle
interrupts coming from a single interrupt parent. If a device is wired
to multiple interrupt controllers, then it needs to be attached to a
node with an interrupt-map property to demux the interrupt specifiers
which is confusing. It would be a lot easier if there was a form of the
interrupts property that allows for a separate interrupt phandle for
each interrupt specifier.

This patch does exactly that by creating a new interrupts-extended
property which reuses the phandle+arguments pattern used by GPIOs and
other core bindings.

Device tree support for Davinci Machine driver

When the board boots with device tree, the driver will receive card,

routing is provided via DT we can mark the card fully routed so core

Jason Gunthorpe a2871c62e1 tpm: Add support for Atmel I2C TPMs
This is based on the work of Teddy Reed <teddy@prosauce.org> published

 https://github.com/theopolis/tpm-i2c-atmel.git
 34894b988b67e0ae55088d6388e77b0dbf10c07d

That driver was never merged, I have taken it as a starting port,
forward ported, tested and revised the driver:
 - Make it broadly textually similar to the Infineon and Nuvoton I2C
   driver
 - Place everything in a format suitable for mainline inclusion
 - Use high level I2C functions i2c_master_send and
   i2c_master_recv for data xfer
 - Use the timeout system from the core code, by faking out a status
   register
 - Only I2C transfer the number of bytes in the reply, not a fixed
   message size.
 - checkpatch cleanups

Originally written by Dan Morav <dmorav@nuvoton.com> and posted to LKML:
https://lkml.org/lkml/2011/9/7/206

The original posting was not merged, I have taken it as a
starting point, forward ported, tested and revised the driver:
 - Rework interrupt handling to work properly with level triggered
interrupts. The old version just locked up.
 - Synchronize various items with Peter Huewe's Infineon driver:
    * Add durations/timeouts sysfs calls
    * Remove I2C device auto-detection
    * Don't fiddle with chip->release
    * Call tpm_dev_vendor_release in the probe error path
    * Use MODULE_DEVICE_TABLE for the I2C ids
    * Provide OF compatible strings for DT support
    * Use SIMPLE_DEV_PM_OPS
    * Use module_i2c_driver
 - checkpatch cleanups
 - Testing on ARM Kirkwood with GPIO interrupts, with this device tree:
	tpm@57 {
                compatible = "nuvoton,npct501";
                reg = <0x57>;

Dong Aisheng 602519b2bd mmc: sdhci-esdhc-imx: add delay line setting support
The DLL(Delay Line) is newly added to assist in sampling read data.
The DLL provides the ability to programmatically select a quantized
delay (in fractions of the clock period) regardless of on-chip variations
such as process, voltage and temperature (PVT).

This patch adds a user interface to set slave delay line via device tree.
It's usually used in high speed mode like mmc DDR mode when the signal
quality is not good caused by board design, e.g. the signal path is too
long. User can manually set delay line to find a suitable data sampling
window for card to work properly.

Josh Wu c8b11de040 iio: at91: introduce touch screen support in iio adc driver
AT91 ADC hardware integrate touch screen support. So this patch add touch
screen support for at91 adc iio driver.
To enable touch screen support in adc, you need to add the dt parameters:
  1. which type of touch are used? (4 or 5 wires), sample period time.
  2. correct pressure detect threshold value.

In the meantime, since touch screen will use a interal period trigger of adc,
so it is conflict to other hardware triggers. Driver will disable the hardware
trigger support if touch screen is enabled.
