Harvey Hunt 3274940bd3 drivers: net: Don't print unpopulated net_device name
For ethernet devices, net_device.name will be eth%d before
register_netdev() is called. Don't print the net_device name until
the format string is replaced.

Dan Carpenter 3af0d554c1 ethernet: micrel: fix some error codes
There were two issues here:
1) dma_mapping_error() return true/false but we want to return -ENOMEM
2) If dmaengine_prep_slave_sg() failed then "err" wasn't set but
presumably that should be -ENOMEM as well.

I changed the success path to "return 0;" instead of "return ret;" for
clarity.

Paul Gortmaker 138b15ed87 drivers/net: remove all references to obsolete Ethernet-HOWTO
This howto made sense in the 1990s when users had to manually configure
ISA cards with jumpers or vendor utilities, but with the implementation
of PCI it became increasingly less and less relevant, to the point where
it has been well over a decade since I last updated it. And there is
no value in anyone else taking over updating it either.

However the references to it continue to spread as boiler plate text
from one Kconfig file into the next. We are not doing end users any
favours by pointing them at this old document, so lets kill it with
fire, once and for all, to hopefully stop any further spread.

No code is changed in this commit, just Kconfig help text.

Ben Hutchings a1606c7dc6 net: Move MII out from under NET_CORE and hide it
All drivers that select MII also need to select NET_CORE because MII
depends on it. This is a bit ridiculous because NET_CORE is just a
menu option that doesn't enable any code by itself.

There is also no need for it to be a visible option, since its users
all select it.

Jingoo Han dfd93c977d net: ethernet: remove unnecessary platform_set_drvdata()
The driver core clears the driver data to NULL after device_release
or on probe failure, since commit 0998d06310
(device-core: Ensure drvdata = NULL when no driver is bound).
Thus, it is not needed to manually clear the device driver data to NULL.

Fabio Estevam 8ac2b3c0e2 ks8851: Remove unneeded PM_OPS definitions
SIMPLE_DEV_PM_OPS macro can handle !CONFIG_PM_SLEEP case nicely, so there is no
need to define PM_OPS for both CONFIG_PM_SLEEP and !CONFIG_PM_SLEEP cases.

Remove the unneeded definitions.

Jingoo Han 8f99660782 net: ethernet: ks8851: use spi_get_drvdata() and spi_set_drvdata()
Use the wrapper functions for getting and setting the driver data using
spi_device instead of using dev_{get|set}_drvdata with &spi->dev, so we
can directly pass a struct spi_device.

Conflicts:
	net/mac80211/sta_info.c
	net/wireless/core.h

Two minor conflicts in wireless. Overlapping additions of extern
declarations in net/wireless/core.h and a bug fix overlapping with
the addition of a boolean parameter to __ieee80211_key_free().
