Alan Jenkins a849854fc7 atl2: don't request irq on resume if netif running
If the device is suspended with the cable disconnected, then
resumed with the cable connected, dev->open is called before
resume. During resume, we request an IRQ, but the IRQ was
already assigned during dev->open, resulting in the warning
shown below.

Don't request an IRQ if the device is running.

Lennert Buytenhek 66e63ffbc0 mv643xx_eth: implement ->set_rx_mode()
Currently, if multiple unicast addresses are programmed into a
mv643xx_eth interface, the core networking will resort to enabling
promiscuous mode on the interface, as mv643xx_eth does not implement
->set_rx_mode().

This patch switches mv643xx_eth over from ->set_multicast_list()
to ->set_rx_mode(), and implements support for secondary unicast
addresses. The hardware can handle multiple unicast addresses as
long as their first 11 nibbles are the same (i.e. are of the form
xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xy where the x part is the same for all addresses), so
if that is the case, we use that mode. If it's not the case, we enable
unicast promiscuous mode in the hardware, which is slightly better than
enabling promiscuous mode for multicasts as well, which is what would
happen before.

While we are at it, change the programming sequence so that we
don't clear all filter bits first, so we don't lose all incoming
packets while the filter is being reprogrammed.

Lennert Buytenhek 37a6084f4b mv643xx_eth: introduce per-port register area pointer
The mv643xx_eth driver uses the rdl()/wrl() macros to read and
write hardware registers. Per-port registers are accessed in the
following way:

	#define PORT_STATUS(p)			(0x0444 + ((p) << 10))

	[...]

	static inline u32 rdl(struct mv643xx_eth_private *mp, int offset)
	{
		return readl(mp->shared->base + offset);
	}

	[...]

	port_status = rdl(mp, PORT_STATUS(mp->port_num));

By giving the per-port 'struct mv643xx_eth_private' its own
'void __iomem *base' pointer that points to the per-port register
area, we can get rid of both the double indirection and the << 10
that is done for every per-port register access -- this patch does
that.

Alexander Duyck 68fd991020 igb: Fix tx/rx_ring_count parameters for igb on suspend/resume/ring resize
When suspending the device the ring structure is freed which causes it to
loose track of the count. To resolve this we need to move the ring count

In addition to resolving the suspend/resume issue this patch also addresses
issues seen in the event of memory allocation errors causing uneven ring
sizes on multiple queues.

Trent Piepho de339c2aa7 phylib: Fix auto-negotiation restart avoidance
A previous patch, 51e2a3846e, made
genphy_config_aneg() not restart aneg by calling genphy_restart_aneg() if
the advertisement hadn't changed.

But, genphy_restart_aneg() doesn't just restart aneg, it may also *enable*
aneg or un-isolate the PHY from the MII (those functions are controlled by
the same register). The code to avoid calling genphy_restart_aneg() didn't
consider this.

So, modify genphy_config_aneg() to also check if the PHY needs to have aneg
enabled or be un-isolated before deciding not to restart aneg.

This caused a problem with certain Davicom PHYs, as that driver isolates
the PHY (why?) before calling genphy_config_aneg() and expects the PHY to
be un-isolated by that function.

Johannes Berg 4018517a1a iwlagn: fix RX skb alignment
So I dug deeper into the DMA problems I had with iwlagn and a kind soul
helped me in that he said something about pci-e alignment and mentioned
the iwl_rx_allocate function to check for crossing 4KB boundaries. Since
there's 8KB A-MPDU support, crossing 4k boundaries didn't seem like
something the device would fail with, but when I looked into the
function for a minute anyway I stumbled over this little gem:

	BUG_ON(rxb->dma_addr & (~DMA_BIT_MASK(36) & 0xff));

Clearly, that is a totally bogus check, one would hope the compiler
removes it entirely. (Think about it)

After fixing it, I obviously ran into it, nothing guarantees the
alignment the way you want it, because of the way skbs and their
headroom are allocated. I won't explain that here nor double-check that
I'm right, that goes beyond what most of the CC'ed people care about.

So then I came up with the patch below, and so far my system has
survived minutes with 64K pages, when it would previously fail in
seconds. And I haven't seen a single instance of the TX bug either. But
when you see the patch it'll be pretty obvious to you why.

This should fix the following reported kernel bugs:

http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11596
http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11393
http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11983

I haven't checked if there are any elsewhere, but I suppose RHBZ will
have a few instances too...

I'd like to ask anyone who is CC'ed (those are people I know ran into
the bug) to try this patch.

I am convinced that this patch is correct in spirit, but I haven't
understood why, for example, there are so many unmap calls. I'm not
entirely convinced that this is the only bug leading to the TX reply
errors.

Johannes Berg 8e3bad65a5 mac80211: remove ieee80211_notify_mac
Before ieee80211_notify_mac() was added, it was presented with the
use case of using it to tell mac80211 that the association may
have been lost because the firmware crashed/reset.

Since then, it has also been used by iwlwifi to (slightly) speed
up re-association after resume, a workaround around the fact that
mac80211 has no suspend/resume handling yet. It is also not used
by any other drivers, so clearly it cannot be necessary for "good
enough" suspend/resume.

Unfortunately, the callback suffers from a severe problem: It only
works for station mode. If suspend/resume happens while in IBSS or
any other mode (but station), then the callback is pointless.

Recently, it has created a number of locking issues, first because
it required rtnl locking rather than RCU due to calling sleeping
functions within the critical section, and now because it's called
by iwlwifi from the mac80211 workqueue that may not use the rtnl
because it is flushed under rtnl.
(cf. http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12046)

I think, therefore, that we should take a step back, remove it
entirely for now and add the small feature it provided properly.
For suspend and resume we will need to introduce new hooks, and for
the case where the firmware was reset the driver will probably
simply just pretend it has done a suspend/resume cycle to get
mac80211 to reprogram the hardware completely, not just try to
connect to the current AP again in station mode. When doing so, we
will need to take into account locking issues and possibly defer
to schedule_work from within mac80211 for the resume operation,
while the suspend operation must be done directly.

Proper suspend/resume should also not necessarily try to reconnect
to the current AP, the time spent in suspend may have been short
enough to not be disconnected from the AP, mac80211 will detect
that the AP went out of range quickly if it did, and if the
association is lost then the AP will disassoc as soon as a data
frame is sent. We might also take into account WWOL then, and
have mac80211 program the hardware into such a mode where it is
available and requested.

Mark McLoughlin 3f2c31d903 virtio_net: VIRTIO_NET_F_MSG_RXBUF (imprive rcv buffer allocation)
If segmentation offload is enabled by the host, we currently allocate
maximum sized packet buffers and pass them to the host. This uses up
20 ring entries, allowing us to supply only 20 packet buffers to the
host with a 256 entry ring. This is a huge overhead when receiving
small packets, and is most keenly felt when receiving MTU sized
packets from off-host.

The VIRTIO_NET_F_MRG_RXBUF feature flag is set by hosts which support
using receive buffers which are smaller than the maximum packet size.
In order to transfer large packets to the guest, the host merges
together multiple receive buffers to form a larger logical buffer.
The number of merged buffers is returned to the guest via a field in
the virtio_net_hdr.

Make use of this support by supplying single page receive buffers to
the host. On receive, we extract the virtio_net_hdr, copy 128 bytes of
the payload to the skb's linear data buffer and adjust the fragment
offset to point to the remaining data. This ensures proper alignment
and allows us to not use any paged data for small packets. If the
payload occupies multiple pages, we simply append those pages as
fragments and free the associated skbs.

This scheme allows us to be efficient in our use of ring entries
while still supporting large packets. Benchmarking using netperf from
an external machine to a guest over a 10Gb/s network shows a 100%
improvement from ~1Gb/s to ~2Gb/s. With a local host->guest benchmark
with GSO disabled on the host side, throughput was seen to increase
from 700Mb/s to 1.7Gb/s.

David S. Miller e23a59e1ca niu: Fix readq implementation when architecture does not provide one.
This fixes a TX hang reported by Jesper Dangaard Brouer.

When an architecutre cannot provide a fully functional
64-bit atomic readq/writeq, the driver must implement
it's own. This is because only the driver can say whether
doing something like using two 32-bit reads to implement
the full 64-bit read will actually work properly.

In particular one of the issues is whether the top 32-bits
or the bottom 32-bits of the 64-bit register should be read
first. There could be side effects, and in fact that is
exactly the problem here.

The TX_CS register has counters in the upper 32-bits and
state bits in the lower 32-bits. A read clears the state
bits.

We would read the counter half before the state bit half.
That first read would clear the state bits, and then the
driver thinks that no interrupts are pending because the
interrupt indication state bits are seen clear every time.

Fix this by reading the bottom half before the upper half.

Johannes Berg f7cd168645 hostap: pad the skb->cb usage in lieu of a proper fix
Like mac80211 did, this driver makes 'clever' use of skb->cb to pass
information along with an skb as it is requeued from the virtual device
to the physical wireless device. Unfortunately, that trick no longer
works...

Unlike mac80211, code complexity and driver apathy makes this hack
the best option we have in the short run. Hopefully someone will
eventually be motivated to code a proper fix before all the effected
hardware dies.

Steve Wise b3e123cf65 RDMA/cxgb3: Fix deadlock in iw_cxgb3 (hang when configuring interface)
When the iw_cxgb3 module's cxgb3_client "add" func gets called by the
cxgb3 module, the iwarp driver ends up calling the ethtool ops
get_drvinfo function in cxgb3 to get the fw version and other info.
Currently the iwarp driver grabs the rtnl lock around this down call
to serialize. As of 2.6.27 or so, things changed such that the rtnl
lock is held around the call to the netdev driver open function. Also
the cxgb3_client "add" function doesn't get called if the device is
down.

So, if you load cxgb3, then load iw_cxgb3, then ifconfig up the
device, the iw_cxgb3 add func gets called with the rtnl_lock held. If
you load cxgb3, ifconfig up the device, then load iw_cxgb3, the add
func gets called without the rtnl_lock held. The former causes the
deadlock, the latter does not.

In addition, there are iw_cxgb3 sysfs handlers that also can call down
into cxgb3 to gather the fw and hw versions. These can be called
concurrently on different processors and at any time. Thus we need to
push this serialization down in the cxgb3 driver get_drvinfo func.

The fix is to remove rtnl lock usage, and use a per-device lock in cxgb3.

Jouni Malinen fc6971d491 mac80211_hwsim: Add support for client PS mode
This introduces a debugfs file (ieee80211/phy#/hwsim/ps) that can be
used to force a simulated radio into power save mode. Following values
can be written into this file to change PS mode:
0 = power save disabled (constantly awake)
1 = power save enabled (drop all frames; do not send PS-Poll)
2 = power save enabled (send PS-Poll frames automatically to receive
    buffered unicast frames); not yet fully implemented
3 = manual PS-Poll trigger (send a single PS-Poll frame)

Two different behavior for power save mode processing can be tested:
- move between modes 1 and 0 (i.e., receive all buffered frames at a
  time)
- move to mode 1 and use manual PS-Poll frames (write 3 to the 'ps'
  debugfs file) to fetch power save buffered frames one at a time

Mode 2 (automatic PS-Poll) does not yet parse Beacon frames, but
eventually, it should take a look at TIM IE and send PS-Poll if a
traffic bit is set for our AID.

Zhu, Yi 60294de3af iwlwifi: fix priv->iw_mode setting when multiple vif are configured
mac80211 supports multiple virtual interfaces for a single device. For
example, a managed interface (wlan0) and a monitor interface (mon0) can
exist at the same time. Thus priv->iw_mode is not sufficient to track
the wireless mode any more. The patch redefines priv->iw_mode as the
first interface mode (the same as priv->vif->type if priv->vif != NULL).
If another monitor type interface is created later, we don't change
priv->iw_mode into monitor. This way, the original interface still
works. The patch also requests mac80211 to do reassociation after we
change the Rx filter flags.

Wang Chen 4ceb7b6ae2 netdevice libertas: Fix directly reference of netdev->priv
We have some reasons to kill netdev->priv:
1. netdev->priv is equal to netdev_priv().
2. netdev_priv() wraps the calculation of netdev->priv's offset, obviously
   netdev_priv() is more flexible than netdev->priv.
But we cann't kill netdev->priv, because so many drivers reference to it
directly.

OK, becasue Dave S. Miller said, "every direct netdev->priv usage is a bug",
and I want to kill netdev->priv later, I decided to convert all the direct
reference of netdev->priv first.

Different to readonly reference of netdev->priv, in this driver, netdev->priv
was changed. I use netdev->ml_priv to replace netdev->priv.

Jonathan McDowell 939a951641 [netdrvr] usb/hso: Cleanup rfkill error handling
Yup, this appears to be the problem, thanks. I think &hso_net->net->dev
is more intuitive for the error message, so I've used that. I've also
added missing line endings on the error messages and set our local
rfkill structure element to NULL on failure so we don't try to call
rfkill_unregister on driver removal if we failed to register at all.

The patch below Works For Me (TM); the device is detected fine, can be
removed without problems and connects ok. I'll have a prod at why the
rfkill stuff isn't working next, but I believe this cleanup of the error
handling is appropriate no matter what the issue with registration is.

Jay Vosburgh fd989c8332 bonding: alternate agg selection policies for 802.3ad
This patch implements alternative aggregator selection policies
for 802.3ad. The existing policy, now termed "stable," selects the active
aggregator by greatest bandwidth, and only reselects a new aggregator
if the active aggregator is entirely disabled (no more ports or all ports
down).

	This patch adds two new policies: bandwidth and count, selecting
the active aggregator by total bandwidth (like the stable policy) or by
the number of ports in the aggregator, respectively. These two policies
also differ from the stable policy in that they will reselect the active
aggregator when availability-related changes occur in the bond (e.g.,
link state change).

	This permits "gang failover" within 802.3ad, allowing redundant
aggregators along parallel paths to always maintain the "best" aggregator
as the active aggregator (rather than having to wait for the active to
entirely fail).

	This patch also updates the driver version to 3.5.0.

Brian Haley 305d552acc bonding: send IPv6 neighbor advertisement on failover
This patch adds better IPv6 failover support for bonding devices,
especially when in active-backup mode and there are only IPv6 addresses
configured, as reported by Alex Sidorenko.

- Creates a new file, net/drivers/bonding/bond_ipv6.c, for the
   IPv6-specific routines. Both regular bonds and VLANs over bonds
   are supported.

- Adds a new tunable, num_unsol_na, to limit the number of unsolicited
   IPv6 Neighbor Advertisements that are sent on a failover event.
   Default is 1.

- Creates two new IPv6 neighbor discovery functions:

   ndisc_build_skb()
   ndisc_send_skb()

   These were required to support VLANs since we have to be able to
   add the VLAN id to the skb since ndisc_send_na() and friends
   shouldn't be asked to do this. These two routines are basically
   __ndisc_send() split into two pieces, in a slightly different order.

- Updates Documentation/networking/bonding.txt and bumps the rev of bond
   support to 3.4.0.

On failover, this new code will generate one packet:

- An unsolicited IPv6 Neighbor Advertisement, which helps the switch
   learn that the address has moved to the new slave.

Testing has shown that sending just the NA results in pretty good
behavior when in active-back mode, I saw no lost ping packets for example.

The only user of the net_device->last_rx field is bonding.
This patch adds a conditional update of last_rx to the bonding special

	This frees network device drivers from the necessity of
updating last_rx, which can have cache line thrash issues.

Matt Carlson 05ac4cb7df tg3: Refine power management and WOL code
Commit 12dac0756d ("tg3: adapt tg3 to
use reworked PCI PM code") introduced the new PCI PM API to the tg3
driver. The patch was understandably conservative, so this patch
elaborates on that work.

The patch starts by creating a single point in tg3_set_power_state()
to decide whether or not to enable WOL. The rest of the code in
tg3_set_power_state() was then pivoted to use the result of this
decision.

The patch then makes sure the device is allowed to wakeup before
reporting whether or not WOL is currently enabled. The final hunks of
the patch consolidate where the WOL capability and WOL enabled flags
are set to a single location.

Matt Carlson b2aee1545d tg3: Preserve DASH connectivity when WOL enabled
DASH firmware runs on the APE side of the chip, but it requires a few MAC
to be programmed correctly.

When WOL is enabled and management firmware is disabled, incoming
packets are evaluated and discarded at the chip's rule processor.
When management firmware is enabled, the hardware must be informed that
there are agents further up the stack that still use the incoming
frames. Normally management firmware will configure the MAC correctly
on its own, but there can be cases where the setting could get clobbered
by the driver. The first hunk of this patch preserves this setting.

The second hunk of this patch wipes out the driver present signature of
the APE memory space. By doing so, the DASH firmware can assume
driver absent behavior.

Lennert Buytenhek ee04448d88 mv643xx_eth: fix SMI bus access timeouts
The mv643xx_eth mii bus implementation uses wait_event_timeout() to
wait for SMI completion interrupts.

If wait_event_timeout() would return zero, mv643xx_eth would conclude
that the SMI access timed out, but this is not necessarily true --
wait_event_timeout() can also return zero in the case where the SMI
completion interrupt did happen in time but where it took longer than
the requested timeout for the process performing the SMI access to be
scheduled again. This would lead to occasional SMI access timeouts
when the system would be under heavy load.

The fix is to ignore the return value of wait_event_timeout(), and
to re-check the SMI done bit after wait_event_timeout() returns to
determine whether or not the SMI access timed out.

Joe Korty dccd547e2b forcdeth: increase max_interrupt_work
This eliminates the following often-generated warning from my 64 bit
Opteron SMP test stand:

	eth0: too many iterations (6) in nv_nic_irq

According to the web, the problem is that the forcedeth driver has a
too-low value for max_interrupt_work. Grepping the kernel I see that
forcedeth has the second lowest value of all ethernet drivers (ie, 6).
Most are in the 20-40 range. So this patch increases this a bit, from 6
to 15 (at 15 forcedeth becomes the driver with third-lowest
max_interrupt_work value).

My test stand, which used to print out the above warnings repetitively
whenever it was under heavy net load, no longer does so.

the mac layer in mlme.c:1605. The consequence is that the STA in ad-hoc
mode is inserted/removed quite frequently due to IBSS merging.

Wang Chen faf3994a9f airo: Kill directly reference of netdev->priv
We have some reasons to kill netdev->priv:
1. netdev->priv is equal to netdev_priv().
2. netdev_priv() wraps the calculation of netdev->priv's offset, obviously
   netdev_priv() is more flexible than netdev->priv.
But we cann't kill netdev->priv, because so many drivers reference to it
directly.

OK, becasue Dave S. Miller said, "every direct netdev->priv usage is a bug",
and I want to kill netdev->priv later, I decided to convert all the direct
reference of netdev->priv first.

In this driver, I don't simply use netdev_priv() to replace netdev->priv.

The reason is:
Pointer netdev->priv was changed in this driver, but it shouldn't.
Because the memory was allocated when alloc_netdev() and netdev->priv
should always point to that memory.

So I use netdev->ml_priv to replace netdev->priv.
After replacing, both ai and ai->wifidev->ml_priv point to the same memory.

Herton Ronaldo Krzesinski f8288317b5 rtl8187: add short slot handling for 8187B
This change adds short slot handling for 8187B variant of rtl8187 chips.
Some things to note about changes done:
* Values used are chosen to met 802.11-2007 spec. This raised a question
  about SIFS value used with 8187L: 0x22 (34) doesn't match any spec
  value. For now just don't change 8187L, but is something to be
  looked at.
* On 8187B, the location of EIFS register is at the same place as BRSR+1
  of struct rtl818x_csr. Unfortunately there is no clean way to
  accomodate 8187B differences currently, just use address of BRSR+1 and
  comment about it. The same thing happens for Ack timeout register,
  that is on CARRIER_SENSE_COUNTER location of 8187L. The eifs and ack
  timeout values are in units of 4us. All these registers information
  was gathered from references being the vendor gpl driver and 8180
  datasheet, unfortunately there is no information about this on 8187B
  datasheet. Also the ack timeout value was inspired by the same
  calculation as done on rt2x00.

Jiri Slaby da966bcae7 Ath5k: add AP mode
Add support for AP mode. This involves:
- enablement in ath5k_beacon_config -- initialize beacon timer
- add AP to the supported modes in ath5k_add_interface
- handle beacon change even for AP in ath5k_config_interface
- remove useless test for IBSS in ath5k_beacon_update

Note that it doesn't enable the AP mode for the driver. It must
be enabled by NL80211_IFTYPE_AP bit added to interface_modes.

Johannes Berg ae5eb02641 mac80211: rewrite HT handling
The HT handling has the following deficiencies, which I've
(partially) fixed:
 * it always uses the AP info even if there is no AP,
   hence has no chance of working as an AP
 * it pretends to be HW config, but really is per-BSS
 * channel sanity checking is left to the drivers
 * it generally lets the driver control too much

HT enabling is still wrong with this patch if you have more than
one virtual STA mode interface, but that never happens currently.
Once WDS, IBSS or AP/VLAN gets HT capabilities, it will also be
wrong, see the comment in ieee80211_enable_ht().

Additionally, this fixes a number of bugs:
 * mac80211: ieee80211_set_disassoc doesn't notify the driver any
             more since the refactoring
 * iwl-agn-rs: always uses the HT capabilities from the wrong stuff
               mac80211 gives it rather than the actual peer STA
 * ath9k: a number of bugs resulting from the broken HT API

I'm not entirely happy with putting the HT capabilities into
struct ieee80211_sta as restricted to our own HT TX capabilities,
but I see no cleaner solution for now.

I've come to think that not providing sequence numbers for
the normal STA mode case was a mistake, at least two drivers
now had to implement code they wouldn't otherwise need, and
I believe at76_usb and adm8211 might be broken.

This patch makes mac80211 assign a sequence number to all
those frames that need one except beacons. That means that
if a driver only implements modes that do not do beaconing
it need not worry about the sequence number.

Trent Piepho c132419e56 gianfar: Fix race in TBI/SerDes configuration
The init_phy() function attaches to the PHY, then configures the
SerDes<->TBI link (in SGMII mode). The TBI is on the MDIO bus with the PHY
(sort of) and is accessed via the gianfar's MDIO registers, using the
functions gfar_local_mdio_read/write(), which don't do any locking.

The previously attached PHY will start a work-queue on a timer, and
probably an irq handler as well, which will talk to the PHY and thus use
the MDIO bus. This uses phy_read/write(), which have locking, but not
against the gfar_local_mdio versions.

The result is that PHY code will try to use the MDIO bus at the same time
as the SerDes setup code, corrupting the transfers.

Setting up the SerDes before attaching to the PHY will insure that there is
no race between the SerDes code and *our* PHY, but doesn't fix everything.
Typically the PHYs for all gianfar devices are on the same MDIO bus, which
is associated with the first gianfar device. This means that the first
gianfar's SerDes code could corrupt the MDIO transfers for a different
gianfar's PHY.

The lock used by phy_read/write() is contained in the mii_bus structure,
which is pointed to by the PHY. This is difficult to access from the
gianfar drivers, as there is no link between a gianfar device and the
mii_bus which shares the same MDIO registers. As far as the device layer
and drivers are concerned they are two unrelated devices (which happen to
share registers).

Generally all gianfar devices' PHYs will be on the bus associated with the
first gianfar. But this might not be the case, so simply locking the
gianfar's PHY's mii bus might not lock the mii bus that the SerDes setup
code is going to use.

We solve this by having the code that creates the gianfar platform device
look in the device tree for an mdio device that shares the gianfar's
registers. If one is found the ID of its platform device is saved in the
gianfar's platform data.

A new function in the gianfar mii code, gfar_get_miibus(), can use the bus
ID to search through the platform devices for a gianfar_mdio device with
the right ID. The platform device's driver data is the mii_bus structure,
which the SerDes setup code can use to lock the current bus.

Andy Gospodarek ce39a800ea bonding: fix panic when taking bond interface down before removing module
A panic was discovered with bonding when using mode 5 or 6 and trying to
remove the slaves from the bond after the interface was taken down.
When calling 'ifconfig bond0 down' the following happens:

    bond_close()
        bond_alb_deinitialize()
            tlb_deinitialize()
		kfree(bond_info->tx_hashtbl)
                bond_info->tx_hashtbl = NULL

Unfortunately if there are still slaves in the bond, when removing the
module the following happens:

    bonding_exit()
        bond_free_all()
            bond_release_all()
                bond_alb_deinit_slave()
                    tlb_clear_slave()
                        tx_hash_table = BOND_ALB_INFO(bond).tx_hashtbl
			u32 next_index = tx_hash_table[index].next

As you might guess we panic when trying to access a few entries into the
table that no longer exists.

I experimented with several options (like moving the calls to
tlb_deinitialize somewhere else), but it really makes the most sense to
be part of the bond_close routine. It also didn't seem logical move
tlb_clear_slave around too much, so the simplest option seems to add a
check in tlb_clear_slave to make sure we haven't already wiped the
tx_hashtbl away before searching for all the non-existent hash-table
entries that used to point to the slave as the output interface.

Jay Vosburgh a434e43f3d bonding: Clean up resource leaks
This patch reworks the resource free logic performed at the time
a bonding device is released. This (a) closes two resource leaks, one
for workqueues and one for multicast lists, and (b) improves commonality
of code between the "destroy one" and "destroy all" paths by performing
final free activity via destructor instead of explicitly (and differently)
in each path.

"Sean E. Millichamp" <sean@bruenor.org> reported the workqueue
leak, and included a different patch.

Jay Vosburgh fba4acda35 bonding: fix miimon failure counter
During the rework of the mii monitor for:

  commit f0c76d6177
  Author: Jay Vosburgh <fubar@us.ibm.com>
  Date:   Wed Jul 2 18:21:58 2008 -0700

    bonding: refactor mii monitor

I left out the increment of the link failure counter. This
patch corrects that omission.

Bob Copeland 063279062a ath5k: honor FIF_BCN_PRBRESP_PROMISC in STA mode
We were setting RX_FILTER_BEACON even after entering STA mode,
which leads to a lot of unnecessary wakeups. This should fix the
bug "Ath5k driver has too many interrupts per second at idle" at
http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11749.

Elias Oltmanns 7d19267b8d ath5k: Fix reset sequence for AR5212 in general and RF5111 in particular
Take care to handle register 0xa228 exactly as in the HAL released by
Atheros. This change is required to make ath5k work again on my system
since commit 2203d6be (ath5k: Misc hw_reset updates), thus fixing a
regression in 2.6.27 and therefore hopefully eligible for inclusion into
a stable release.

v2: Only overwrite initial register values on later revisions of AR5212
    chips.
v3: Use standard macros to manipulate the register.
