pm_qos_remove_request was not called on video_release, resulting in the PM
core's list of requests being corrupted when the file handle was freed.
This has no immediate symptoms, but later in operation, the kernel will
panic as the PM core dereferences a dangling pointer.

Cards using the wm8775 specify that in their card struct. Those that do not
use it leave the audio_chip field to 0. Unfortunately, the CX88_AUDIO_WM8775
enum is 0 as well, so boards that do not have the wm8775 still try to load
and use that driver. Change it to 1 to fix this.
This regression was introduced in commit facd23664f.

Hi,
Handling the AV Core/IR interrupts schedules its workqueue but
the schedule_work function returns false if @work was already on the
kernel-global workqueue and true otherwise.
Printing an error message if @work wasn't in the queue is wrong.

Those boards were missing the ISDB-T support.
Most of the work on this patch were done by Alfredo.
My work here were to port this patch from Kernel 3.2 to upstream,
fix the issue caused by the set_frontend bad hook, and add the
Kconfig bits.
Tested on a X8502 board rebranded as:

When the frontend drivers got converted to DVBv5 API, the original
hook that tracked when a frontend is set got removed, being replaced
by an approach that would use the gate control. That doesn't work
fine with some boards. Also, the code were called more times than
desired.
Replace it by a logic that will hook the dvb set_frontend ops,
with works with both DVBv3 and DVBv5 calls.
Tested on a Mygica X8502 OEM board.

Apparently the Flatiron genereates an interrupt after the built-in self
test for each of its left and right channels has completed.
Apparently Conexant wire-OR'ed the Flatiron's interrupt output with the
interrupt output of the CX23885 A/V core.
Those interrupts need to be handled, otherwise, they generate an
interrrupt request storm.
So:
- Add flatiron readreg and writereg functions prototypes
on a new header file;
- Modify the av interrupt handler to cleanup flatiron IRQs if no other
interrupt handling happens.

make sure they cannot accidently be parsed that way. Additionally, clean
up calls made with a single parameter that would be handled as a format
string. Many callers are passing potentially dynamic string content, so

The cx88 driver has one v4l2_device, but the video nodes are owned by two
different PCI busses. So the dev_parent pointer should be set to the correct
parent bus, otherwise sysfs won't show the correct device hierarchy.
This broke starting in 3.6 after a driver change, so this patch resurrects
the correct behavior.

Remove g_chip_ident from cx88. Also remove the v4l2-chip-ident.h include.
The board code used defines from v4l2-chip-ident.h to tell the driver which
audio chip is used. Replace this with a cx88-specific enum.

As USB/PCI/MEDIA_SUPPORT dependencies can be tristate, we can't
simply make the bool menu to be dependent on it. Everything below
the menu should also depend on it, otherwise, we risk to allow
building them with 'y', while only 'm' would be supported.
So, add an IF just before everything below, in order to avoid
such risks.

Currently, if the norm set is V4L2_STD_ALL, then autodetect the current
standard and use that. This is non-standard behavior, and in fact it hasn't
worked for a very long time: before s_std is called in this driver, the
v4l2 core will mask it with the tvnorms field. So even if the application
passes V4L2_STD_ALL, the zoran driver will always see a subset of that.
Since nobody ever complained about this we just remove this non-standard
functionality.

VIDIOC_DBG_G_CHIP_IDENT has been replaced by VIDIOC_DBG_G_CHIP_INFO. Remove
g_chip_ident support from bridge drivers since it is no longer needed.
This patch takes care of all the trivial cases.

This fixes a NULL pointer deference when loading the cx88_dvb module for a
Hauppauge HVR4000.

The cause is that the wm8775 is optional, so even though the board info says
there is one, it doesn't have to be there. Checking whether the module was
actually loaded is much safer.
Note that this driver is quite buggy when it comes to unloading and reloading
modules. Unloading cx8800 and reloading it again will still cause a crash,
most likely because either the i2c bus isn't unloaded at the right time and/or
the v4l2_device_unregister isn't called at the right time.

The orig code will release all the resources if v4l2_device_register()
failed and return 0. But what we need in this case is to return an
negative error code to let the caller known we are failed.
So the patch save the return value of v4l2_device_register() to 'ret'
and return it when error.

Pull i2c changes from Wolfram Sang:
- an arbitration driver. While the driver is quite simple, it caused
discussion if we need additional arbitration on top of the one
specified in the I2C standard. Conclusion is that I accept a few
generic mechanisms, but not very specific ones.
- the core lost the detach_adapter() call. It has no users anymore and
was in the way for other cleanups. attach_adapter() is sadly still
there since there are users waiting to be converted.
- the core gained a bus recovery infrastructure. I2C defines a way to
recover if the data line is stalled. This mechanism is now in the
core and drivers can now pass some data to make use of it.
- bigger driver cleanups for designware, s3c2410
- removing superfluous refcounting from drivers
- removing Ben Dooks as second maintainer due to inactivity. Thanks

Don't print proc_dir_entry data in debug as we're soon to have no direct

Pull media update from Mauro Carvalho Chehab:
- OF documentation and patches at core and drivers, to be used by for
embedded media systems
- some I2C drivers used on go7007 were rewritten/promoted from staging:
sony-btf-mpx, tw2804, tw9903, tw9906, wis-ov7640, wis-uda1342
- add fimc-is driver (Exynos)
- add a new radio driver: radio-si476x
- add a two new tuners: r820t and tuner_it913x
- split camera code on em28xx driver and add more models
- the cypress firmware load is used outside dvb usb drivers. So, move
it to a common directory to make easier to re-use it
- siano media driver updated to work with sms2270 devices
- several work done in order to promote go7007 and solo6x1x out of
staging (still, there are some pending issues)
- several API compliance fixes at v4l2 drivers that don't behave as
expected
- as usual, lots of driver fixes, improvements, cleanups and new device
addition at the existing drivers.

Along the time, several debug messages were added at cx88-cards.
While those are still useful to track some troubles with
tuners, they're too verbose:

The hole reason for __must_check is to not ignore an error.
However, a "ret" value is used at cx25821 just to avoid the
Kernel compilation to compain about it.
That, however, produces another warning (with W=1):

With the current implementation of driver_for_each_device() and
cx25821_alsa_exit_callback(), there's actually just one
very unlikely condition where it will currently produce
an error: if driver_find() returns NULL.
Ok, there's not much that can be done, as it is on a driver's
function that returns void, but it can at least print some message
if the error happens.

Legacy PCI suspend-resume handlers are called with interrupts enabled.
But cx8800_suspend/cx8800_resume and
cx8802_suspend_common/cx8802_resume_common use spin_lock/spin_unlock
functions to acquire dev->slock, while the same lock is acquired in the
corresponding irq-handlers: cx8800_irq and cx8802_irq.
That means a deadlock is possible if an interrupt happens while suspend
or resume owns the lock. The patch replaces spin_lock/spin_unlock with
spin_lock_irqsave/spin_unlock_irqrestore.
Found by Linux Driver Verification project (linuxtesting.org).

cx25821-video-upstream_ch2.c/h is practically identical to cx25821-video-upstream.c/h
so add support for ch2 into cx25821-video-upstream.c instead.
After this we can replace the custom ioctls with a proper write() interface.

This driver does not have subdevices, so why call subdev ops? After
removing that it became apparent that only Composite is supported as
input, so remove also any reference to other inputs.
