Use kmemdup when some other buffer is immediately copied into allocated
region. It replaces call to allocation followed by memcpy, by a single
call to kmemdup.

Drivers should include asm/pci-bridge.h only when they need the arch-
specific things provided there. Outside of the arch/ directories, the only
drivers that actually need things provided by asm/pci-bridge.h are the
powerpc RPA hotplug drivers in drivers/pci/hotplug/rpa*.
Remove the includes of asm/pci-bridge.h from the other drivers, adding an
include of linux/pci.h if necessary.

Commit 7f854420fb ("phy: Add API for {un}registering an mdio device to
a bus") introduces an API to access mii_bus structures, but missed to
update the tc35815 driver. This results in the following error message.

Instead of looping over the list of phy addresses to find a phy chip,
use phy_find_first(). While the intent of the original code was to return
an error if more than one phy was specified, this code path was never
executed because the loop aborted after finding the first phy. The
original code is therefore semantically identical to phy_find_first(),
thus it is simpler and more straightforward to use phy_find_first()
directly.

Have mdio_alloc() create the array of interrupt numbers, and
initialize it to POLLING. This is what most MDIO drivers want, so
allowing code to be removed from the drivers.

Many Ethernet drivers contain the same netdev_info() print statement
about the attached phy. Move it into the phy device code. Additionally
add a varargs function which can be used to append additional
information.

This howto made sense in the 1990s when users had to manually configure
ISA cards with jumpers or vendor utilities, but with the implementation
of PCI it became increasingly less and less relevant, to the point where
it has been well over a decade since I last updated it. And there is
no value in anyone else taking over updating it either.
However the references to it continue to spread as boiler plate text
from one Kconfig file into the next. We are not doing end users any
favours by pointing them at this old document, so lets kill it with
fire, once and for all, to hopefully stop any further spread.
No code is changed in this commit, just Kconfig help text.

When the DEBUG preprocessor macro is defined the ps3_gelic_net driver build
fails due to an undeclared routine gelic_descr_get_status(). This problem
was introduced during the code cleanup of commit
6b0c21cede (net: Fix p3_gelic_net sparse warnings),
which re-arranged the ordering of some of the gelic routines.
This change just moves the gelic_descr_get_status() routine up in the
ps3_gelic_net.c source file. There is no functional change.

This patch removes the spider_net_get_mac_address() call at the end of
the spider_net_set_mac() function. The dev->dev_addr is instead updated
with a memcpy() from sa->sa_data.
Since spider_net_get_mac_address() is not used anywhere else, this patch
also removes the function.

We should prefer `struct pci_device_id` over `DEFINE_PCI_DEVICE_TABLE` to
meet kernel coding style guidelines. This issue was reported by checkpatch.

Replace dev_kfree_skb with dev_consume_skb_any in
spider_net_release_tx_chain which can be called in hard irq and other
contexts.
dev_consume_skb_any was choosen as it preserves the current
dev_kfree_skb semantics (dev_kfree_skb is consume_skb) and
is because it is correct most of the time as most packets
will have been successfully transmitted not dropeed.

Processing any incoming packets with a with a napi budget of 0
is incorrect driver behavior.
This matters as netpoll will shortly call drivers with a budget of 0
to avoid receive packet processing happening in hard irq context.

None of these files are actually using any __init type directives
and hence don't need to include <linux/init.h>. Most are just a
left over from __devinit and __cpuinit removal, or simply due to
code getting copied from one driver to the next.
This covers everything under drivers/net except for wireless, which
has been submitted separately.

There are a mix of function prototypes with and without extern
in the kernel sources. Standardize on not using extern for
function prototypes.
Function prototypes don't need to be written with extern.
extern is assumed by the compiler. Its use is as unnecessary as
using auto to declare automatic/local variables in a block.

Since commit 82dc3c63 ("net: introduce NAPI_POLL_WEIGHT")
netif_napi_add() produces an error message if a NAPI poll weight
greater than 64 is requested.
GELIC_NET_NAPI_WEIGHT is defined to GELIC_NET_RX_DESCRIPTORS,
which is 128.
Use the standard NAPI weight.

Rename the hardware VLAN acceleration features to include "CTAG" to indicate
that they only support CTAGs. Follow up patches will introduce 802.1ad
server provider tagging (STAGs) and require the distinction for hardware not
supporting acclerating both.

The flags argument of the phy_{attach,connect,connect_direct} functions
is then used to assign a struct phy_device dev_flags with its value.
All callers but the tg3 driver pass the flag 0, which results in the
underlying PHY drivers in drivers/net/phy/ not being able to actually
use any of the flags they would set in dev_flags. This patch gets rid of
the flags argument, and passes phydev->dev_flags to the internal PHY
library call phy_attach_direct() such that drivers which actually modify
a phy device dev_flags get the value preserved for use by the underlying
phy driver.

The __dev* removal patches for the network drivers ended up messing up
the function prototypes for a bunch of drivers. This patch fixes all of
them back up to be properly aligned.
Bonus is that this almost removes 100 lines of code, always a nice
surprise.

The include file linux/ieee80211.h contains three definitions for
the same thing in enum ieee80211_eid due to historic changes:

The standard refers to this as "vendor specific" element so the
