The previous definition of for_each_*() would always include the very
first object within the list, irrespective of whether it was marked
deleted, since the deleted flag was not checked on the first object,
but only on any "next" object.
Fix for_each_*() to check the deleted flag in the loop body every
iteration to correct this.

sets a default 32bit mask on arch-vt8500 when using devicetree.

We already do that as part of the ringbuffer re-setup at resume time.
Furthermore the register offset has moved on gen6+ around quite a bit,
and on ilk/gm45 we also need to restore the HWS reg for the bsd ring,
not just the render ring.

We already call drm_irq_install/uninstall at the right time, which
will set up the irq registers with the correct values (through the
preinstall hooks).
For kms this is at best harmless, in the worst case we get an
interrupt when we don't really expect it.

We completely compute these anew in each modeset, hence we don't rely
on them containing anything valid after resume.
To avoid breaking any ums setup due to reordering of the reads/writes
simply don't reorder anything, but bracket the reads/writes into if
(!kms) conditionals. More churn, but safer.

Previously, the DP register was used for everything. On Haswell, it
was split into DDI_BUF_CTL (which is the new intel_dp->DP register)
and DP_TP_CTL.
The logic behind this patch is based on a patch written by Shobhit
Kumar, but the way the code was written is very different.

This option is a merge of both analog TV and DVB CUSTOMISE.
At the merge, the dependencies were not done right: the menu
currently appears only for analog TV. It should also be opened
for digital TV. As there are other I2C devices there (flash
devices, etc) that aren't related to either one, it is better
to make it generic enough to open for all media devices with
video.

With the introduction of per-process GTT space, the hardware designers
thought it wise to also limit the ability to write to MMIO space to only
a "secure" batch buffer. The ability to rewrite registers is the only
way to program the hardware to perform certain operations like scanline
waits (required for tear-free windowed updates). So we either have a
choice of adding an interface to perform those synchronized updates
inside the kernel, or we permit certain processes the ability to write
to the "safe" registers from within its command stream. This patch
exposes the ability to submit a SECURE batch buffer to
DRM_ROOT_ONLY|DRM_MASTER processes.

secure batches need a global gtt binding.

When booting on a federated multi-server system (NumaScale), the
processor Northbridge lookup returns NULL; add guards to prevent this
causing an oops.
On those systems, the northbridge is accessed through MMIO and the
"normal" northbridge enumeration in amd_nb.c doesn't work since we're
generating the northbridge ID from the initial APIC ID and the last
is not unique on those systems. Long story short, we end up without
northbridge descriptors.

On systems with very large memory (1 TB in our case), BIOS may report a
reserved region or a hole in the E820 map, even above the 4 GB range. Exclude
these from the direct mapping.
[ hpa: this should be done not just for > 4 GB but for everything above the legacy
region (1 MB), at the very least. That, however, turns out to require significant

The watchdog on dove requires an interrupt that is not yet
available on DT. Therefore, the watchdog DT node is removed
until the corresponding chained intc is available.
