unify {de,}mangle_poll(), get rid of kernel-side POLL...
except, again, POLLFREE and POLL_BUSY_LOOP. With this, we finally get to the promised end result: - POLL{IN,OUT,...} are plain integers and *not* in __poll_t, so any stray instances of ->poll() still using those will be caught by sparse. - eventpoll.c and select.c warning-free wrt __poll_t - no more kernel-side definitions of POLL... - userland ones are visible through the entire kernel (and used pretty much only for mangle/demangle) - same behavior as after the first series (i.e. sparc et.al. epoll(2) working correctly). The core framework has a handful of patches this time around, mostly due
to the clk rate protection support added by Jerome Brunet. This feature will allow consumers to lock in a certain rate on the output of a clk so that things like audio playback don't hear pops when the clk frequency changes due to shared parent clks changing rates. Currently the clk API doesn't guarantee the rate of a clk stays at the rate you request after clk_set_rate() is called, so this new API will allow drivers to express that requirement. Beyond this, the core got some debugfs pretty printing patches and a couple minor non-critical fixes. Looking outside of the core framework diff we have some new driver additions and the removal of a legacy TI clk driver. Both of these hit high in the dirstat. Also, the removal of the asm-generic/clkdev.h file causes small one-liners in all the architecture Kbuild files. Merge branch 'misc.poll' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/viro/vfs
Pull poll annotations from Al Viro: "This introduces a __bitwise type for POLL### bitmap, and propagates the annotations through the tree. Most of that stuff is as simple as 'make ->poll() instances return __poll_t and do the same to local variables used to hold the future return value'. Some of the obvious brainos found in process are fixed (e.g. POLLIN misspelled as POLL_IN). At that point the amount of sparse warnings is low and most of them are for genuine bugs - e.g. ->poll() instance deciding to return -EINVAL instead of a bitmap. I hadn't touched those in this series - it's large enough as it is. Another problem it has caught was eventpoll() ABI mess; select.c and eventpoll.c assumed that corresponding POLL### and EPOLL### were equal. That's true for some, but not all of them - EPOLL### are arch-independent, but POLL### are not. The last commit in this series separates userland POLL### values from the (now arch-independent) kernel-side ones, converting between them in the few places where they are copied to/from userland. AFAICS, this is the least disruptive fix preserving poll(2) ABI and making epoll() work on all architectures. As it is, it's simply broken on sparc - try to give it EPOLLWRNORM and it will trigger only on what would've triggered EPOLLWRBAND on other architectures. EPOLLWRBAND and EPOLLRDHUP, OTOH, are never triggered at all on sparc. With this patch they should work consistently on all architectures" * 'misc.poll' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/viro/vfs: (37 commits) make kernel-side POLL... arch-independent eventpoll: no need to mask the result of epi_item_poll() again eventpoll: constify struct epoll_event pointers debugging printk in sg_poll() uses %x to print POLL... bitmap annotate poll(2) guts 9p: untangle ->poll() mess ->si_band gets POLL... bitmap stored into a user-visible long field ring_buffer_poll_wait() return value used as return value of ->poll() the rest of drivers/*: annotate ->poll() instances media: annotate ->poll() instances fs: annotate ->poll() instances ipc, kernel, mm: annotate ->poll() instances net: annotate ->poll() instances apparmor: annotate ->poll() instances tomoyo: annotate ->poll() instances sound: annotate ->poll() instances acpi: annotate ->poll() instances crypto: annotate ->poll() instances block: annotate ->poll() instances x86: annotate ->poll() instances ... |

Merge branch 'siginfo-linus' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/ebiederm/user-namespace
Pull siginfo cleanups from Eric Biederman: "Long ago when 2.4 was just a testing release copy_siginfo_to_user was made to copy individual fields to userspace, possibly for efficiency and to ensure initialized values were not copied to userspace. Unfortunately the design was complex, it's assumptions unstated, and humans are fallible and so while it worked much of the time that design failed to ensure unitialized memory is not copied to userspace. This set of changes is part of a new design to clean up siginfo and simplify things, and hopefully make the siginfo handling robust enough that a simple inspection of the code can be made to ensure we don't copy any unitializied fields to userspace. The design is to unify struct siginfo and struct compat_siginfo into a single definition that is shared between all architectures so that anyone adding to the set of information shared with struct siginfo can see the whole picture. Hopefully ensuring all future si_code assignments are arch independent. The design is to unify copy_siginfo_to_user32 and copy_siginfo_from_user32 so that those function are complete and cope with all of the different cases documented in signinfo_layout. I don't think there was a single implementation of either of those functions that was complete and correct before my changes unified them. The design is to introduce a series of helpers including force_siginfo_fault that take the values that are needed in struct siginfo and build the siginfo structure for their callers. Ensuring struct siginfo is built correctly. The remaining work for 4.17 (unless someone thinks it is post -rc1 material) is to push usage of those helpers down into the architectures so that architecture specific code will not need to deal with the fiddly work of intializing struct siginfo, and then when struct siginfo is guaranteed to be fully initialized change copy siginfo_to_user into a simple wrapper around copy_to_user. Further there is work in progress on the issues that have been documented requires arch specific knowledge to sort out. The changes below fix or at least document all of the issues that have been found with siginfo generation. Then proceed to unify struct siginfo the 32 bit helpers that copy siginfo to and from userspace, and generally clean up anything that is not arch specific with regards to siginfo generation. It is a lot but with the unification you can of siginfo you can already see the code reduction in the kernel" * 'siginfo-linus' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/ebiederm/user-namespace: (45 commits) signal/memory-failure: Use force_sig_mceerr and send_sig_mceerr mm/memory_failure: Remove unused trapno from memory_failure signal/ptrace: Add force_sig_ptrace_errno_trap and use it where needed signal/powerpc: Remove unnecessary signal_code parameter of do_send_trap signal: Helpers for faults with specialized siginfo layouts signal: Add send_sig_fault and force_sig_fault signal: Replace memset(info,...) with clear_siginfo for clarity signal: Don't use structure initializers for struct siginfo signal/arm64: Better isolate the COMPAT_TASK portion of ptrace_hbptriggered ptrace: Use copy_siginfo in setsiginfo and getsiginfo signal: Unify and correct copy_siginfo_to_user32 signal: Remove the code to clear siginfo before calling copy_siginfo_from_user32 signal: Unify and correct copy_siginfo_from_user32 signal/blackfin: Remove pointless UID16_SIGINFO_COMPAT_NEEDED signal/blackfin: Move the blackfin specific si_codes to asm-generic/siginfo.h signal/tile: Move the tile specific si_codes to asm-generic/siginfo.h signal/frv: Move the frv specific si_codes to asm-generic/siginfo.h signal/ia64: Move the ia64 specific si_codes to asm-generic/siginfo.h signal/powerpc: Remove redefinition of NSIGTRAP on powerpc signal: Move addr_lsb into the _sigfault union for clarity ... |

signal/blackfin: Remove pointless UID16_SIGINFO_COMPAT_NEEDED
Nothing tests this define so just remove it. I suspect the intention was to make the uid field in siginfo 16bit however I can't find any code that ever tested this defined, and even if it did it the layout has been this way for 8 years so changing it now would break the ABI with userspace. Construct init thread stack in the linker script rather than by union
Construct the init thread stack in the linker script rather than doing it by means of a union so that ia64's init_task.c can be got rid of. The following symbols are then made available from INIT_TASK_DATA() linker script macro: init_thread_union init_stack INIT_TASK_DATA() also expands the region to THREAD_SIZE to accommodate the size of the init stack. init_thread_union is given its own section so that it can be placed into the stack space in the right order. This is the bulk of pin control changes for the v4.15
kernel cycle: Core: - The pin control Kconfig entry PINCTRL is now turned into a menuconfig option. This obviously has the implication of making the subsystem menu visible in menuconfig. This is happening because of two things: - Intel have started to deploy and depend on pin controllers in a way that is affecting users directly. This happens on the highly integrated laptop chipsets named after geographical places: baytrail, broxton, cannonlake, cedarfork, cherryview, denverton, geminilake, lewisburg, merrifield, sunrisepoint... It started a while back and now it is ever more evident that this is crucial infrastructure for x86 laptops and not an embedded obscurity anymore. Users need to be aware. - Pin control expanders on I2C and SPI that are arch-agnostic. Currently Semtech SX150X and Microchip MCP28x08 but more are expected. Users will have to be able to configure these in directly for their set-up. - Just go and select GPIOLIB now that we made sure that GPIOLIB is a very vanilla subsystem. Do not depend on it, if we need it, select it. - Exposing the pin control subsystem in menuconfig uncovered a bunch of obscure bugs that are now hopefully fixed, all more or less pertaining to Blackfin. - Unified namespace for cross-calls between pin control and GPIO. - New support for clock skew/delay generic DT bindings and generic pin config options for this. - Minor documentation improvements. Various: - The Renesas SH-PFC pin controller has evolved a lot. It seems Renesas are churning out new SoCs by the minute. - A bunch of non-critical fixes for the Rockchip driver. - Improve the use of library functions instead of open coding. - Support the MCP28018 variant in the MCP28x08 driver. - Static constifying. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iQIcBAABAgAGBQJaDV9TAAoJEEEQszewGV1zf0AQAIlHxM8B0mJPOFv7WdPIHs8j GSGAPv0rPobdgZI8vegosIQmAiry5jjaHP6VGOrK5n8FRxfBLd89NLT7dgK7J9Yx tYcQRQn1/MqZKaIjWWgTes3okEr9s77Of3aWkA9gyvBjTGoo2hu8BTwZOYuPrIPP aYcI7VR0VbTe7FQR1QRtKBXnBTXfznF1j5ckKNY4ahgIPcUgxyh6EA1E61rDorLK gvwwzoBqIKQAcnapgarF7YOJjoE0i7ZoSlhL0b0nvhcgolyK/zLN4xujLcTGPeTJ hQwe7LhxtvtmJmu0jRMuetDLFT52d6eq8ttyFBMULkgRzcgMv6GZZXUy4k92t7ZT F2DRbAjyAlxkhUhQ8BORzEXwfWYITt1M49jWQqugdDR2fV/MAlF8motOkVBl73iS zHIQ/ZDcAD+PlwTHiDyDOUxj7qyDs2MkTLTzfXc0koOQZOqskDHQ1dIf3UzLzZ9S /dx339/ejwP73E0lzOsanhianfonqWZ3Apn3aRG18uqCt2+eHySWpxyRANuOlBZI czERg+47wDfng24xyuH0EElgbS5G0Bt1lT5zLVLdFEvoLmcBHVKqaCkiuvYXOjVM GyMRvQPiJbhT6qiJ+aSP8t/utl1aUhXQLtrUnXxu8qv9tQ6jgmqiQd9855Uvrzb0 ZR2wyNc2jtWzwCfrkWjt =kj/b -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- Merge tag 'pinctrl-v4.15-1' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/linusw/linux-pinctrl Pull pin control updates from Linus Walleij: "This is the bulk of pin control changes for the v4.15 kernel cycle: Core: - The pin control Kconfig entry PINCTRL is now turned into a menuconfig option. License cleanup: add SPDX license identifier to uapi header files with a license
Many user space API headers have licensing information, which is either incomplete, badly formatted or just a shorthand for referring to the license under which the file is supposed to be. This makes it hard for compliance tools to determine the correct license. Update these files with an SPDX license identifier. The identifier was chosen based on the license information in the file. GPL/LGPL licensed headers get the matching GPL/LGPL SPDX license identifier with the added 'WITH Linux-syscall-note' exception, which is the officially assigned exception identifier for the kernel syscall exception: NOTE! This copyright does *not* cover user programs that use kernel services by normal system calls - this is merely considered normal use of the kernel, and does *not* fall under the heading of "derived work". This exception makes it possible to include GPL headers into non GPL code, without confusing license compliance tools. Headers which have either explicit dual licensing or are just licensed under a non GPL license are updated with the corresponding SPDX identifier and the GPLv2 with syscall exception identifier. The format is: ((GPL-2.0 WITH Linux-syscall-note) OR SPDX-ID-OF-OTHER-LICENSE) SPDX license identifiers are a legally binding shorthand, which can be used instead of the full boiler plate text. The update does not remove existing license information as this has to be done on a case by case basis and the copyright holders might have to be consulted. This will happen in a separate step. This patch is based on work done by Thomas Gleixner and Kate Stewart and Philippe Ombredanne. See the previous patch in this series for the methodology of how this patch was researched. Many user space API headers are missing licensing information, which makes it hard for compliance tools to determine the correct license. By default are files without license information under the default license of the kernel, which is GPLV2. Marking them GPLV2 would exclude them from being included in non GPLV2 code, which is obviously not intended. License cleanup: add SPDX GPL-2.0 license identifier to files with no license
Many source files in the tree are missing licensing information, which makes it harder for compliance tools to determine the correct license. By default all files without license information are under the default license of the kernel, which is GPL version 2. Update the files which contain no license information with the 'GPL-2.0' SPDX license identifier. The SPDX identifier is a legally binding shorthand, which can be used instead of the full boiler plate text. This patch is based on work done by Thomas Gleixner and Kate Stewart and Philippe Ombredanne. How this work was done: Patches were generated and checked against linux-4.14-rc6 for a subset of the use cases: - file had no licensing information it it. - file was a */uapi/* one with no licensing information in it, - file was a */uapi/* one with existing licensing information, Further patches will be generated in subsequent months to fix up cases where non-standard license headers were used, and references to license had to be inferred by heuristics based on keywords. The analysis to determine which SPDX License Identifier to be applied to a file was done in a spreadsheet of side by side results from of the output of two independent scanners (ScanCode & Windriver) producing SPDX tag:value files created by Philippe Ombredanne. Philippe prepared the base worksheet, and did an initial spot review of a few 1000 files. The 4.13 kernel was the starting point of the analysis with 60,537 files assessed. Kate Stewart did a file by file comparison of the scanner results in the spreadsheet to determine which SPDX license identifier(s) to be applied to the file. She confirmed any determination that was not immediately clear with lawyers working with the Linux Foundation. Criteria used to select files for SPDX license identifier tagging was: - Files considered eligible had to be source code files. - Make and config files were included as candidates if they contained >5 lines of source - File already had some variant of a license header in it (even if <5 lines). All documentation files were explicitly excluded. The following heuristics were used to determine which SPDX license identifiers to apply. - when both scanners couldn't find any license traces, file was considered to have no license information in it, and the top level COPYING file license applied. In total, over 70 hours of logged manual review was done on the spreadsheet to determine the SPDX license identifiers to apply to the source files by Kate, Philippe, Thomas and, in some cases, confirmation by lawyers working with the Linux Foundation. Kate also obtained a third independent scan of the 4.13 code base from FOSSology, and compared selected files where the other two scanners disagreed against that SPDX file, to see if there was new insights. The Windriver scanner is based on an older version of FOSSology in part, so they are related. Thomas did random spot checks in about 500 files from the spreadsheets for the uapi headers and agreed with SPDX license identifier in the files he inspected. For the non-uapi files Thomas did random spot checks in about 15000 files. In initial set of patches against 4.14-rc6, 3 files were found to have copy/paste license identifier errors, and have been fixed to reflect the correct identifier. Additionally Philippe spent 10 hours this week doing a detailed manual inspection and review of the 12,461 patched files from the initial patch version early this week with: - a full scancode scan run, collecting the matched texts, detected license ids and scores - reviewing anything where there was a license detected (about 500+ files) to ensure that the applied SPDX license was correct - reviewing anything where there was no detection but the patch license was not GPL-2.0 WITH Linux-syscall-note to ensure that the applied SPDX license was correct This produced a worksheet with 20 files needing minor correction. This worksheet was then exported into 3 different .csv files for the different types of files to be modified. These .csv files were then reviewed by Greg. Thomas wrote a script to parse the csv files and add the proper SPDX tag to the file, in the format that the file expected. This script was further refined by Greg based on the output to detect more types of files automatically and to distinguish between header and source .c files (which need different comment types.) Finally Greg ran the script using the .csv files to generate the patches. blackfin: Fix local <asm/gpio.h> includes
When making the pin control submenu globally visible, all kinds of oddities appear, in blackfin a few files were #including <linux/gpio.h> and relying on that to pull in <asm/gpio.h>. This was not working when pin control but not GPIOLIB was selected resulting in a breakage in allmodconfig. The code these files were using was still there and defined in <asm/gpio.h> just not pulle in from just including <linux/gpio.h> Simply add the required includes explicitly in the blackfin kernel core and everything compiles fine. Delete the use of the incorrect <linux/gpio.h> where possible. Add stubs to <asm/gpio.h> for the functions called from PM: these should probably also depend on !PINCTRL but since the global CONFIG_PM symbol is used to compile PM support, we need some more intrusive thing here, to be tested by Blackfin maintainers. The arch_{read,spin,write}_lock_flags() macros are simply mapped to the non-flags versions by the majority of architectures, so do this in core code and remove the dummy implementations. locking/core: Remove {read,spin,write}_can_lock()
Outside of the locking code itself, {read,spin,write}_can_lock() have no users in tree. Apparmor (the last remaining user of write_can_lock()) got moved over to lockdep by the previous patch. This patch removes the use of {read,spin,write}_can_lock() from the BUILD_LOCK_OPS macro, deferring to the trylock operation for testing the lock status, and subsequently removes the unused macros altogether. Merge branch 'for-linus' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/ebiederm/user-namespace
Pull namespace updates from Eric Biederman: "Life has been busy and I have not gotten half as much done this round as I would have liked. I delayed it so that a minor conflict resolution with the mips tree could spend a little time in linux-next before I sent this pull request. This includes two long delayed user namespace changes from Kirill Tkhai. It also includes a very useful change from Serge Hallyn that allows the security capability attribute to be used inside of user namespaces. The practical effect of this is people can now untar tarballs and install rpms in user namespaces. It had been suggested to generalize this and encode some of the namespace information information in the xattr name. Upon close inspection that makes the things that should be hard easy and the things that should be easy more expensive. Then there is my bugfix/cleanup for signal injection that removes the magic encoding of the siginfo union member from the kernel internal si_code. The mips folks reported the case where I had used FPE_FIXME me is impossible so I have remove FPE_FIXME from mips, while at the same time including a return statement in that case to keep gcc from complaining about unitialized variables. I almost finished the work to get make copy_siginfo_to_user a trivial copy to user. signal: Remove kernel interal si_code magic
struct siginfo is a union and the kernel since 2.4 has been hiding a union tag in the high 16bits of si_code using the values: __SI_KILL __SI_TIMER __SI_POLL __SI_FAULT __SI_CHLD __SI_RT __SI_MESGQ __SI_SYS While this looks plausible on the surface, in practice this situation has not worked well. - Injected positive signals are not copied to user space properly unless they have these magic high bits set. - Injected positive signals are not reported properly by signalfd unless they have these magic high bits set. - These kernel internal values leaked to userspace via ptrace_peek_siginfo - It was possible to inject these kernel internal values and cause the the kernel to misbehave. - Kernel developers got confused and expected these kernel internal values in userspace in kernel self tests. - Kernel developers got confused and set si_code to __SI_FAULT which is SI_USER in userspace which causes userspace to think an ordinary user sent the signal and that it was not kernel generated. - The values make it impossible to reorganize the code to transform siginfo_copy_to_user into a plain copy_to_user. As si_code must be massaged before being passed to userspace. So remove these kernel internal si codes and make the kernel code simpler and more maintainable. To replace these kernel internal magic si_codes introduce the helper function siginfo_layout, that takes a signal number and an si_code and computes which union member of siginfo is being used. Have siginfo_layout return an enumeration so that gcc will have enough information to warn if a switch statement does not handle all of union members. A couple of architectures have a messed up ABI that defines signal specific duplications of SI_USER which causes more special cases in siginfo_layout than I would like. The good news is only problem architectures pay the cost. Update all of the code that used the previous magic __SI_ values to use the new SIL_ values and to call siginfo_layout to get those values. Escept where not all of the cases are handled remove the defaults in the switch statements so that if a new case is missed in the future the lack will show up at compile time. Modify the code that copies siginfo si_code to userspace to just copy the value and not cast si_code to a short first. The high bits are no longer used to hold a magic union member. Fixup the siginfo header files to stop including the __SI_ values in their constants and for the headers that were missing it to properly update the number of si_codes for each signal type. The fixes to copy_siginfo_from_user32 implementations has the interesting property that several of them perviously should never have worked as the __SI_ values they depended up where kernel internal. With that dependency gone those implementations should work much better. The idea of not passing the __SI_ values out to userspace and then not reinserting them has been tested with criu and criu worked without changes. Ref: 2.4.0-test1 Signed-off-by: "Eric W. Regularly, when a new header is created in include/uapi/, the developer forgets to add it in the corresponding Kbuild file. This error is usually detected after the release is out. Update code that relied on sched.h including various MM types for them. This will allow us to remove the <linux/mm_types.h> include from <linux/sched.h>. kprobes: move kprobe declarations to asm-generic/kprobes.h
Often all is needed is these small helpers, instead of compiler.h or a full kprobes.h. This is important for asm helpers, in fact even some asm/kprobes.h make use of these helpers... instead just keep a generic asm file with helpers useful for asm code with the least amount of clutter as possible. Likewise we need now to also address what to do about this file for both when architectures have CONFIG_HAVE_KPROBES, and when they do not. Then for when architectures have CONFIG_HAVE_KPROBES but have disabled CONFIG_KPROBES. Right now most asm/kprobes.h do not have guards against CONFIG_KPROBES, this means most architecture code cannot include asm/kprobes.h safely. Correct this and add guards for architectures missing them. Additionally provide architectures that not have kprobes support with the default asm-generic solution. This lets us force asm/kprobes.h on the header include/linux/kprobes.h always, but most importantly we can now safely include just asm/kprobes.h on architecture code without bringing the full kitchen sink of header files. Two architectures already provided a guard against CONFIG_KPROBES on its kprobes.h: sh, arch. The rest of the architectures needed gaurds added. We avoid including any not-needed headers on asm/kprobes.h unless kprobes have been enabled. In a subsequent atomic change we can try now to remove compiler.h from include/linux/kprobes.h. During this sweep I've also identified a few architectures defining a common macro needed for both kprobes and ftrace, that of the definition of the breakput instruction up. Some refer to this as BREAKPOINT_INSTRUCTION. This must be kept outside of the #ifdef CONFIG_KPROBES guard. This is a tree wide change and has been kept separate for that reason.
Bart Van Assche noted that the ib DMA mapping code was significantly similar enough to the core DMA mapping code that with a few changes it was possible to remove the IB DMA mapping code entirely and switch the RDMA stack to use the core DMA mapping code. This resulted in a nice set of cleanups, but touched the entire tree. This branch will be submitted separately to Linus at the end of the merge window as per normal practice for tree wide changes like this. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iQIcBAABAgAGBQJYo06oAAoJELgmozMOVy/d9Z8QALedWHdu98St1L0u2c8sxnR9 2zo/4sF5Vb9u7FpmdIX32L4SQ9s9KhPE8Qp8NtZLf9v10zlDebIRJDpXknXtKooV CAXxX4sxBXV27/UrhbZEfXiPrmm6ccJFyIfRnMU6NlMqh2AtAsRa5AC2/RMp8oUD Med97PFiF0o6TD22/UH1VFbRpX1zjaKyqm7a3as5sJfzNA+UGIZAQ7Euz8000DKZ xCgVLTEwS0FmOujtBkCst7xa9TjuqR1HLOB4DdGvAhP6BHdz2yamM7Qmh9NN+NEX 0BtjsuXomtn6j6AszGC+bpipCZh3NUigcwoFAARXCYFHibBvo4DPdFeGsraFgXdy 1+KyR8CCeQG3Aly5Vwr264RFPGkGpwMj8PsBlXgQVtrlg4rriaCzOJNmIIbfdADw ftqhxBOzReZw77aH2s+9p2ILRfcAmPqhynLvFGFo9LBvsik8LVso7YgZN0xGxwcI IjI/XGC8UskPVsIZBIYA6sl2bYzgOjtBIHiXjRrPlW3uhduIXLrvKFfLPP/5XLAG ehLXK+J0bfsyY9ClmlNS8oH/WdLhXAyy/KNmnj5bRRm9qg6BRJR3bsOBhZJODuoC XgEXFfF6/7roNESWxowff7pK0rTkRg/m/Pa4VQpeO+6NWHE7kgZhL6kyIp5nKcwS 3e7mgpcwC+3XfA/6vU3F =e0Si -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- Merge tag 'for-next-dma_ops' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/dledford/rdma Pull rdma DMA mapping updates from Doug Ledford: "Drop IB DMA mapping code and use core DMA code instead. sched/cputime: Remove generic asm headers
cputime_t is now only used by two architectures: * powerpc (when CONFIG_VIRT_CPU_ACCOUNTING_NATIVE=y) * s390 And since the core doesn't use it anymore, we don't need any arch support from the others. So we can remove their stub implementations. A final cleanup would be to provide an efficient pure arch implementation of cputime_to_nsec() for s390 and powerpc and finally remove include/linux/cputime.h .
