Commit 97a13e5289 ('net: phy: mdio-sun4i: don't select REGULATOR') removed
the select of REGULATOR, which means that it now has to be explicitly
enabled in the defconfig or things won't work very well.
In particular, this fixes a problem with SD/MMC not probing on my A31-based
board.

DT conversion and are now ready to be removed. The OMAP platform has
traditionally had its own DMA engine abstraction and as this is being
phased out, a lot of the original code is now unused and can be removed
as well.
S3C24xx can be simplified now that the restart code is a proper device
driver.
Finally, a number of cleanups in shmobile are done to prepare for
the addition of new code in other branches.

The Exynos System-on-Chips have ~7 distinctive I2C IO ports (exact
number depends on chip). However some integrated circuits on board, also
using I2C protocol for communication, can be connected to the SoC by
other GPIO. Enabling the I2C GPIO driver allows using such additional
integrated circuits.
An example of such chip using I2C and connected over GPIO to SoC is
Maxim 77693 MUIC on Trats2 board. The regulator driver of Maxim
77693 offers charger and safeout LDO (necessary for USB OTG).

Use drivers/misc/sram.c driver to manage SRAM on all DT only
OMAP platforms (am33xx, am43xx, omap4 and omap5) instead of
the existing private plat-omap/sram.c
Address and size related data is removed from mach-omap2/sram.c
and now passed to drivers/misc/sram.c from DT.
Users can hence use general purpose allocator apis instead of
OMAP private ones to manage and use SRAM.

Many TI SoCs using Highest frequency is not really too nice of an idea for
long periods of time. And not everything is upstream to support things
optimially - example avs class 0, 1.5 ABB consolidation with cpufreq etc..

support 16GB memory on hip04 platform.
Since hip04 doesn't belong to hi3xxx series, rename hi3xxx_defconfig to
hisi_defconfig.

This defconfig contains the CONFIG_M25P80 symbol, which is now
dependent on the MTD_SPI_NOR symbol. Add CONFIG_MTD_SPI_NOR to satisfy
the new dependency.
At the same time, drop the now-nonexistent CONFIG_MTD_CHAR symbol.

This is a squashed series from Soren:
"I went through the defconfig and searched for Zynq drivers. The result
is this series of patches. The first few are all for Zynq and pretty
much straight forward. The second half is mostly soft-IP, I think. That
soft-IP works with Zynq devices, but I'm not sure whether those should
go into the multi_v7 defconfig."

We broke this out in a separate branch since some defconfigs now are
shared between maintainers, and having them merged in through separate
topics (drivers/soc/etc) is a recipe for conflicts.
Most of this is removal of two defconfigs:
* Kirkwood, now folded into mvebu/multi_v5
* Renesas genmai, removed platform
* Major defconfig refresh for exynos
* Various updates on the other multi-defconfigs and others (tegra,
socfpga, shmobile).

Unlike the board branch, this keeps having large sets of changes for
every release, but that's quite expected and is so far working well.
Most of this is plumbing for various device bindings and new platforms,
but there's also a bit of cleanup and code removal for things that
are moved from platform code to DT contents (some OMAP clock code in
particular).
There's also a pinctrl driver for tegra here (appropriately acked),
that's introduced this way to make it more bisectable.
I'm happy to say that there were no conflicts at all with this branch
this release, which means that changes are flowing through our tree as
expected instead of merged through driver maintainers (or at least not
done with conflicts).
There are several new boards added, and a couple of SoCs. In no particular
order:
* Rockchip RK3288 SoC support, including DTS for a dev board that they
have seeded with some community developers.
* Better support for Hardkernel Exynos4-based ODROID boards.
* CCF conversions (and dtsi contents) for several Renesas platforms.
* Gumstix Pepper (TI AM335x) board support
* TI eval board support for AM437x
* Allwinner A23 SoC, very similar to existing ones which mostly has
resulted in DT changes for support. Also includes support for an Ippo
tablet with the chipset.
* Allwinner A31 Hummingbird board support, not to be confused with the
SolidRun i.MX-based Hummingboard.
* Tegra30 Apalis board support

This merge window brings a good size of cleanups on various
platforms. Among the bigger ones:
* Removal of Samsung s5pc100 and s5p64xx platforms. Both of these have
lacked active support for quite a while, and after asking around nobody
showed interest in keeping them around. If needed, they could be
resurrected in the future but it's more likely that we would prefer
reintroduction of them as DT and multiplatform-enabled platforms
instead.
* OMAP4 controller code register define diet. They defined a lot of registers
that were never actually used, etc.
* Move of some of the Tegra platform code (PMC, APBIO, fuse, powergate)
to drivers/soc so it can be shared with 64-bit code. This also converts them
over to traditional driver models where possible.
* Removal of legacy gpio-samsung driver, since the last users have been
removed (moved to pinctrl)
Plus a bunch of smaller changes for various platforms that sort of
dissapear in the diffstat for the above. clps711x cleanups, shmobile
header file refactoring/moves for multiplatform friendliness, some misc
cleanups, etc.

The mvebu_v5_defconfig is currently used for Kirkwood platforms, and
in the future hopefully used for Orion5x platforms. Those platforms
use fairly old bootloaders that don't have Device Tree support, so it
makes sense to enable appended DTB support by default, as well as the
backward compatibility with ATAGS passed by the bootloader for those
platforms. It helps having a defconfig that works fine out of the box
for most Kirkwood platforms.

Merge tag 'renesas-defconfig-for-v3.17' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/horms/renesas into next/defconfig
Merge "Renesas ARM Based SoC Defconfig Updates for v3.17" from Simon Horman:
* Enable Marzen board and r8a7779 SoC, CPUFREQ and PM_RUNTIME in
shmobile (multiplatform) defconfig
* Enable LED support in armadillo800eva defconfig
* tag 'renesas-defconfig-for-v3.17' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/horms/renesas:
ARM: shmobile: Enable CPUFREQ configuration
ARM: shmobile: Enable PM_RUNTIME in defconfig
ARM: shmobile: marzen: Add to shmobile defconfig
ARM: shmobile: armadillo800eva defconfig: Enable REGULATOR_GPIO and LEDS_GPIO
The NVIDIA Tegra 3 based Apalis T30 module contains an Intel i210 resp.
i211 gigabit Ethernet controller, an STMPE811 ADC/touch controller, PWM
LEDs generically accessible from user space and an LM95245 temperature
sensor chip. The later three can also be found on the Colibri T30
module.
While at it move the NEON entry down to its proper place to have it all
nicely ordered again.

BCM (Kona/capri platform) has regressed in two ways on this release. First,
bcm_defconfig no longer selected the appropriate MMC driver options due to
changes in dependencies. Secondly, the new MFD and regulator drivers were not
enabled on multi_v7_defconfig, so that caused the system to fail probing MMC
there.
Fix by enabling the new options as needed.
