Johannes Berg 1f7bba79af mac80211: add back support for radiotap vendor namespace data
Radiotap vendor namespace data might still be useful, but we
reverted it because it used too much space in the RX status.
Put it back, but address the space problem by using a single
bit only and putting everything else into the skb->data.

Jukka Rissanen 62759361eb mac80211-hwsim: Provide multicast event for HWSIM_CMD_NEW_RADIO
When adding new radio via HWSIM_CMD_NEW_RADIO then listeners on the
multicast group "config" are informed.

While at it, refactor the configuration parameters to be able to
pass them directly and have fewer function arguments.

Add support for new attribute HWSIM_ATTR_DESTROY_RADIO_ON_CLOSE
which can be set by the user space component. The attribute
will cause the kernel to destroy all those radios that were
created by a process if that process dies. The old behaviour
i.e., radios are persistent is still the default.

David S. Miller 3fd0202a0d Merge tag 'master-2014-07-25' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/linville/wireless-next
John W. Linville says:

====================
pull request: wireless-next 2014-07-25

Please pull this batch of updates intended for the 3.17 stream!

For the mac80211 bits, Johannes says:

"We have a lot of TDLS patches, among them a fix that should make hwsim
tests happy again. The rest, this time, is mostly small fixes."

For the Bluetooth bits, Gustavo says:

"Some more patches for 3.17. The most important change here is the move of
the 6lowpan code to net/6lowpan. It has been agreed with Davem that this
change will go through the bluetooth tree. The rest are mostly clean up and
fixes."

and,

"Here follows some more patches for 3.17. These are mostly fixes to what
we've sent to you before for next merge window."

For the iwlwifi bits, Emmanuel says:

"I have the usual amount of BT Coex stuff. Arik continues to work
on TDLS and Ariej contributes a few things for HS2.0. I added a few
more things to the firmware debugging infrastructure. Eran fixes a
small bug - pretty normal content."

And for the Atheros bits, Kalle says:

"For ath6kl me and Jessica added support for ar6004 hw3.0, our latest
version of ar6004.

For ath10k Janusz added a printout so that it's easier to check what
ath10k kconfig options are enabled. He also added a debugfs file to
configure maximum amsdu and ampdu values. Also we had few fixes as
usual."

On top of that is the usual large batch of various driver updates --
brcmfmac, mwifiex, the TI drivers, and wil6210 all get some action.
Rafał has also been very busy with b43 and related updates.

Also, I pulled the wireless tree into this in order to resolve a
merge conflict...

P.S. The change to fs/compat_ioctl.c reflects a name change in a
Bluetooth header file...

Andrew Bresticker 5d26b50813 mac80211_hwsim: fix compiler warning on MIPS
The dividend in do_div() is expected to be an unsigned 64-bit integer,
which leads to the following warning when building for 32-bit MIPS:

  drivers/net/wireless/mac80211_hwsim.c: In function 'mac80211_hwsim_set_tsf':

David Spinadel c56ef67250 mac80211: support more than one band in scan request
Some drivers (such as iwlmvm) can handle multiple bands in a single
HW scan request. Add a HW flag to indicate that the driver support
this. To hold the required data, create a separate structure for
HW scan request that holds cfg scan request and data about
different parts of the scan IEs.

As this changes the mac80211 API, update all drivers using it to

Thomas Pedersen b66851c3c8 mac80211_hwsim: fix beacon timestamp and mactime
Set the beacon timestamp once during "transmission" so the
monitor interface also gets a timestamped beacon.

Also use a common base between TX timestamp and RX

Johannes Berg 18b559d5db mac80211: split TX aggregation stop action
When TX aggregation is stopped, there are a few
different cases:
 - connection with the peer was dropped
 - session stop was requested locally
 - session stop was requested by the peer
 - connection was dropped while a session is stopping

The behaviour in these cases should be different, if
the connection is dropped then the driver should drop
all frames, otherwise the frames may continue to be
transmitted, aggregated in the case of a locally
requested session stop or unaggregated in the case of
the peer requesting session stop.

Split these different cases so that the driver can
act accordingly; however, treat local and remote stop
the same way and ask the driver to not send frames as
aggregated packets any more.

In the case of connection drop, the stop callback the
driver is otherwise supposed to call is no longer
required.

Johannes Berg 42d97a599e cfg80211: remove remain-on-channel channel type
As mwifiex (and mac80211 in the software case) are the
only drivers actually implementing remain-on-channel
with channel type, userspace can't be relying on it.
This is the case, as it's used only for P2P operations
right now.

Rather than adding a flag to tell userspace whether or
not it can actually rely on it, simplify all the code
by removing the ability to use different channel types.
Leave only the validation of the attribute, so that if
we extend it again later (with the needed capability
flag), it can't break userspace sending invalid data.

Johannes Berg e826117142 mac80211_hwsim: allow using channel contexts
To use mac80211_hwsim for testing channel contexts it
has to support them, and for that it has to support
hw scan and hw-remain-on-channel.

Since it's pure software, the off-channel activities
are really not off-channel but listening and sending
on a second channel. Also, the multi-channel isn't
really doing TDM, it's just on both channels at the
same time.

For testing purposes, you can specify the number of
concurrent channels with a module parameter, it is
set to one by default. When set to two or more, the
userspace API for wmediumd is disabled as it has no
provisions for multi-channel yet.
