Florian Fainelli a642c4f790 net: bcmgenet: power up and down integrated GPHY when unused
Power up the GPHY while we are bringing-up the network interface, and
conversely, upon bring down, power the GPHY down. In order to avoid
creating hardware hazards, make sure that the GPHY gets powered on
during bcmgenet_open() prior to the UniMAC being reset as the UniMAC may
start creating activity towards the GPHY if we reverse the steps.

Florian Fainelli a9d608c153 net: bcmgenet: implement GPHY power down sequence
Implement the GPHY power down sequence by setting all power down bits, putting
the GPHY in reset, and finally cutting the 25Mhz reference clock.

Florian Fainelli 8212c98358 net: bcmgenet: rename bcmgenet_ephy_power_up
In preparation for implementing the power down GPHY sequence, rename
bcmgenet_ephy_power_up to illustrate that it is not EPHY specific but
PHY agnostic, and add an "enable" argument.

Florian Fainelli 0d017e2193 net: bcmgenet: update bcmgenet_ephy_power_up to clear CK25_DIS bit
The CK25_DIS bit controls whether a 25Mhz clock is fed to the GPHY or
not, in preparation for powering down the integrated GPHY when relevant,
make sure we clear that bit.

Florian Fainelli dbd479db79 net: bcmgenet: apply MII configuration in bcmgenet_open()
In case an interface has been brought down before entering S3, and then
brought up out of S3, all the initialization done during
bcmgenet_probe() by bcmgenet_mii_init() calling bcmgenet_mii_config() is
just lost since register contents are restored to their reset values.

Re-apply this configuration anytime we call bcmgenet_open() to make sure
our port multiplexer is properly configured to match the PHY interface.

Since we are now calling bcmgenet_mii_config() everytime bcmgenet_open()
is called, make sure we only print the message during initialization
time not to pollute the console.

Florian Fainelli c96e731c93 net: bcmgenet: connect and disconnect from the PHY state machine
phy_disconnect() is the only way to guarantee that we are not going to
schedule more work on the PHY state machine workqueue for that
particular PHY device.

This fixes an issue where a network interface was suspended prior to a
system suspend/resume cycle and would then be resumed as part of
mdio_bus_resume(), since the GENET interface clocks would have been
disabled, this basically resulted in bus errors to appear since we are
invoking the GENET driver adjust_link() callback.

Petri Gynther 5ad6e6c508 net: bcmgenet: improve bcmgenet_mii_setup()
bcmgenet_mii_setup() is called from the PHY state machine every 1-2 seconds
when the PHYs are in PHY_POLL mode.

Improve bcmgenet_mii_setup() so that it touches the MAC registers only when
the link is up and there was a change to link, speed, duplex, or pause status.

Florian Fainelli 487320c541 net: bcmgenet: communicate integrated PHY revision to PHY driver
The integrated BCM7xxx PHY contains no useful revision information in
its MII_PHYSID2 bits 3:0, that information is instead contained in the
GENET hardware block.

We already read the GENET 32-bit revision register, so store the
integrated PHY revision in the driver private structure, and then
communicate this revision value to the PHY driver by overriding the
phy_flags value.

Florian Fainelli c677ba8b3c net: bcmgenet: update UMAC_CMD only when link is detected
When we bring the interface down, phy_stop() will schedule the PHY state
machine to call our link adjustment callback. By the time we do so, we
may have clock gated off the GENET hardware block, and this will cause
bus errors to happen in bcmgenet_mii_setup():

Make sure that we only touch the UMAC_CMD register when there is an
actual link. This is safe to do for two reasons:

- updating the Ethernet MAC registers only make sense when a physical
  link is present
- the PHY library state machine first set phydev->link = 0 before
invoking phydev->adjust_link in the PHY_HALTED case

Uwe Kleine-König 9518259ffc net: bcmgenet: fix reference counting for phy node
For the fixed phy setup make sure to not overwrite a valid value of
phy_dn (that is holding a reference to a phy-handle) and also acquire a
reference to the MAC node to consistently return with the phy_dn pointer
holding a reference.

Also add the corresponding of_node_put in the error path and the remove
function.

Florian Fainelli aa09677cba net: bcmgenet: add MDIO routines
This patch adds support for configuring the port multiplexer hardware
which resides in front of the GENET Ethernet MAC controller. This allows
us to support:

- internal PHYs (using drivers/net/phy/bcm7xxx.c)
- MoCA PHYs which are an entirely separate hardware block not covered
  here
- external PHYs and switches

Note that MoCA and switches are currently supported using the emulated
"fixed PHY" driver.
