Sudip Mukherjee 21343ac21e net: via/Kconfig: GENERIC_PCI_IOMAP required if PCI not selected
The builds of allmodconfig of avr32 is failing with:

drivers/net/ethernet/via/via-rhine.c:1098:2: error: implicit declaration
of function 'pci_iomap' [-Werror=implicit-function-declaration]
drivers/net/ethernet/via/via-rhine.c:1119:2: error: implicit declaration
of function 'pci_iounmap' [-Werror=implicit-function-declaration]

The generic empty pci_iomap and pci_iounmap is used only if CONFIG_PCI
is not defined and CONFIG_GENERIC_PCI_IOMAP is defined.

Add GENERIC_PCI_IOMAP in the dependency list for VIA_RHINE as we are
getting build failure when CONFIG_PCI and CONFIG_GENERIC_PCI_IOMAP both
are not defined.

Before, the symbols depended implicitly on HAS_DMA through PCI or
USE_OF. Add explicit dependencies on HAS_DMA to fix this.

Paul Gortmaker 138b15ed87 drivers/net: remove all references to obsolete Ethernet-HOWTO
This howto made sense in the 1990s when users had to manually configure
ISA cards with jumpers or vendor utilities, but with the implementation
of PCI it became increasingly less and less relevant, to the point where
it has been well over a decade since I last updated it. And there is
no value in anyone else taking over updating it either.

However the references to it continue to spread as boiler plate text
from one Kconfig file into the next. We are not doing end users any
favours by pointing them at this old document, so lets kill it with
fire, once and for all, to hopefully stop any further spread.

No code is changed in this commit, just Kconfig help text.

Antonio Borneo b7d3282a24 net: via/Kconfig: replace USE_OF with OF_???
USE_OF is used as intermediate Kconfig option by few

This should make the driver usable with VIA/WonderMedia ARM-based

Ben Hutchings a1606c7dc6 net: Move MII out from under NET_CORE and hide it
All drivers that select MII also need to select NET_CORE because MII
depends on it. This is a bit ridiculous because NET_CORE is just a
menu option that doesn't enable any code by itself.

There is also no need for it to be a visible option, since its users
all select it.

Jeff Kirsher aaba215ca0 MII: fix Kconfig dependencies for MII
MII Kconfig option is apart of the core networking drivers and
by default NET_CORE is enabled so drivers selecting MII will
have MII enabled as well. It was found using the randconfig
option during testing, MII would be selected but NET_CORE
could be disabled. This caused a dependency error.

Resolved the dependency by selecting NET_CORE when MII is
selected.

Jeff Kirsher 88f07484cc drivers/net/ethernet/*: Enabled vendor Kconfig options
Based on finds for Stephen Rothwell, where current defconfig's
enable a ethernet driver and it is not compiled due to the newly
added NET_VENDOR_* component of Kconfig.

This patch enables all the "new" Kconfig options so that current
defconfig's will continue to compile the expected drivers. In
addition, by enabling all the new Kconfig options does not add
any un-expected options.
