Benoit Taine 9baa3c34ac PCI: Remove DEFINE_PCI_DEVICE_TABLE macro use
We should prefer `struct pci_device_id` over `DEFINE_PCI_DEVICE_TABLE` to
meet kernel coding style guidelines. This issue was reported by checkpatch.

A simplified version of the semantic patch that makes this change is as
follows (http://coccinelle.lip6.fr/):

// <smpl>

@@
identifier i;
declarer name DEFINE_PCI_DEVICE_TABLE;
initializer z;
@@

- DEFINE_PCI_DEVICE_TABLE(i)
+ const struct pci_device_id i[]
= z;

// </smpl>

Julia Lawall 9f0b4cbdee iwlegacy: use correct structure type name in sizeof
Correct typo in the name of the type given to sizeof. Because it is the
size of a pointer that is wanted, the typo has no impact on compilation or
execution.

This problem was found using Coccinelle (http://coccinelle.lip6.fr/). The
semantic patch used can be found in message 0 of this patch series.

David Spinadel c56ef67250 mac80211: support more than one band in scan request
Some drivers (such as iwlmvm) can handle multiple bands in a single
HW scan request. Add a HW flag to indicate that the driver support
this. To hold the required data, create a separate structure for
HW scan request that holds cfg scan request and data about
different parts of the scan IEs.

As this changes the mac80211 API, update all drivers using it to
use the correct new function type/argument.

Stanislaw Gruszka 997bc71a36 iwl4965: disable 8K A-MSDU by default
iwlegacy version of this iwlwifi patch:

commit aed7d9ac18
Author: Emmanuel Grumbach <emmanuel.grumbach@intel.com>
Date:   Wed Feb 20 11:33:00 2013 +0200

    iwlwifi: disable 8K A-MSDU by default

    Supporting 8K A-MSDU means that we need to allocate order 1
    pages for every Rx packet. Even when there is no traffic.
    This adds stress on the memory manager. The handling of
    compound pages is also less trivial for the memory manager
    and not using them will make the allocation code run faster
    although I didn't really measure.
    Eric also pointed out that having huge buffers with little
    data in them is not very nice towards the TCP stack since
    the truesize of the skb is huge. This doesn't allow TCP
    to have a big Rx window.
    See https://patchwork.kernel.org/patch/2167711/ for details.

    Note that very few vendors will actually send A-MSDU.
    Disable this feature by default.

These two flags are used for the same purpose, just
combine them into a no-ir flag to annotate no initiating

Old userspace sending either flag will have it treated as

John W. Linville says:

Regarding the Bluetooth bits, Gustavo says:

"The big work here is from Marcel and Johan. They did a lot of work
in the L2CAP, HCI and MGMT layers. The most important ones are the
addition of a new MGMT command to enable/disable LE advertisement
and the introduction of the HCI user channel to allow applications
to get directly and exclusive access to Bluetooth devices."

As to the ath10k bits, Kalle says:

"Bartosz dropped support for qca98xx hw1.0 hardware from ath10k, it's
just too much to support it. Michal added support for the new firmware
interface. Marek fixed WEP in AP and IBSS mode. Rest of the changes are
minor fixes or cleanups."

And also:

"Major changes are:

* throughput improvements including aligning the RX frames correctly and
  optimising HTT layer (Michal)

* remove qca98xx hw1.0 support (Bartosz)

* add support for firmware version 999.999.0.636 (Michal)

* firmware htt statistics support (Kalle)

* fix WEP in AP and IBSS mode (Marek)

* fix a mutex unlock balance in debugfs file (Shafi)

And of course there's a lot of smaller fixes and cleanup."

For the wl12xx bits, Luca says:

"Here are some patches intended for 3.13. Eliad is upstreaming a bunch
of patches that have been pending in the internal tree. Mostly bugfixes
and other small improvements."

Along with that...

Arend and friends bring us a batch of brcmfmac updates, Larry Finger
offers some rtlwifi refactoring, and Sujith sends the usual batch of
ath9k updates. As usual, there are a number of other small updates
from a variety of players as well.

Batman conflict resolution provided by Antonio Quartulli, basically
keep everything in both conflict hunks.

The nl80211 conflict is a little more involved. In 'net' we added a
dynamic memory allocation to nl80211_dump_wiphy() to fix a race that
Linus reported. Meanwhile in 'net-next' the handlers were converted
to use pre and post doit handlers which use a flag to determine
whether to hold the RTNL mutex around the operation.

However, the dump handlers to not use this logic. Instead they have
to explicitly do the locking. There were apparent bugs in the
conversion of nl80211_dump_wiphy() in that we were not dropping the
RTNL mutex in all the return paths, and it seems we very much should
be doing so. So I fixed that whilst handling the overlapping changes.

To simplify the initial returns, I take the RTNL mutex after we try
to allocate 'tb'.

Stanislaw Gruszka d5346171d7 Revert "iwl4965: workaround connection regression on passive channel"
This reverts commit dd9c46408f.

With "iwl{4965,3495): workaround for firmware frame tx rejection"
patches we can enable IEEE80211_HW_REPORTS_TX_ACK_STATUS again.

Stanislaw Gruszka a8cf0194b7 iwlegacy: fix rate control regression
Since driver does not use control.rates[0].count, we have never set that
variable. But currently, after rate control API rewrite, this is required
by mac80211. Otherwise legacy rates control does not work and we transmit
always at 1Mbit/s on pre 11n networks.
