Here are the big staging/iio patches for 4.19-rc1.
Lots of churn here, with tons of cleanups happening in staging drivers,
a removal of an old crypto driver that no one was using (skein), and the
addition of some new IIO drivers. Also added was a "gasket" driver from
Google that needs loads of work and the erofs filesystem.
Even with adding all of the new drivers and a new filesystem, we are
only adding about 1000 lines overall to the kernel linecount, which
shows just how much cleanup happened, and how big the unused crypto
driver was.
All of these have been in the linux-next tree for a while now with no
reported issues.
Note, you will have a merge problem with a device tree IIO file and the
MAINTAINERS file, both resolutions are easy, just take all changed.
There will be a skein file merge issue as well, but that file got
deleted so just drop that.

cma_alloc() doesn't really support gfp flags other than __GFP_NOWARN, so
convert gfp_mask parameter to boolean no_warn parameter.
This will help to avoid giving false feeling that this function supports
standard gfp flags and callers can pass __GFP_ZERO to get zeroed buffer,
what has already been an issue: see commit dd65a941f6 ("arm64:
dma-mapping: clear buffers allocated with FORCE_CONTIGUOUS flag").

This was bisected back to commit bfd40eaff5 ("mm: fix
vma_is_anonymous() false-positives").
create_mspace_with_base() in the trace above, utilizes ashmem, and with
ashmem, for shared mappings we use shmem_zero_setup(), which sets the
vma->vm_ops to &shmem_vm_ops. But for private ashmem mappings nothing
sets the vma->vm_ops.
Looking at the problematic patch, it seems to add a requirement that one
call vma_set_anonymous() on a vma, otherwise the dummy_vm_ops will be
used. Using the dummy_vm_ops seem to triggger SIGBUS when traversing
unmapped pages.
Thus, this patch adds a call to vma_set_anonymous() for ashmem private
mappings and seems to avoid the reported problem.

When ashmem_shrink is called from direct reclaim on a user thread, a
call to do_fallocate will check for permissions against the security
policy of that user thread. It can thus fail by chance if called on a
thread that isn't permitted to modify the relevant ashmem areas.
Because we know that we have a shmem file underneath, call the shmem
implementation of fallocate directly instead of going through the
user-space interface for fallocate.

The ashmem driver did not check that the size/offset of the vma passed
to its .mmap() function was not larger than the ashmem object being
mapped. This could cause mmap() to succeed, even though accessing parts
of the mapping would later fail with a segmentation fault.
Ensure an error is returned by the ashmem_mmap() function if the vma
size is larger than the ashmem object size. This enables safer handling
of the problem in userspace.

Now we call dma_map in the dma_buf API callbacks and handle explicit
caching by the dma_buf sync API, which make cache and uncache pools
in the same handling flow, which can be combined.

ion_page_pool_alloc_pages calls alloc_pages to allocate pages for page
pools. If alloc_pages return NULL, it will return NULL, or it will
return the pages allocate from alloc_pages. So we can just return
alloc_pages without any judgement.

Now, nobody care about the return value of ion_page_pool_add, therefore
we can just make it return void.

ion_page_pool_add will always return 0, however ion_page_pool_free will
call ion_page_pool_free_pages when ion_page_pool_add's return value is
not 0, so it is a dead code which can be removed.

When failed to create debug_root, we will go on initail other part of
ion, so we can just info this message to user and do not need a lable
to jump.

If we failed to create debugfs for ion at ion_device_create, the
debug_root of ion_device will be NULL, and then when try to create debug
file for shrinker of heap it will be create on the top of debugfs. If we
also failed to create this the debug file, it call dentry_path to found
the path of debug_root, then a NULL point will occur.
Fix this by avoiding call dentry_path, but show the debug name only when
failed to create debug file for shrinker.

ion_page_pool.c now is used to apply pool APIs for system heap, which do
not need do any initial at device_initcall. Therefore ion_page_pool_init
can be nuked.

After rewrite of ion_page_pool, some of its include file is no need
anymore, just remove it.
