Thomas Körper 6d5a7a65a9 can: esd_usb2: Fix sparse warnings
The hnd field of the structs does not need to be __le32: the
device just returns the value without using it itself.

Andri Yngvason be38a6f9f4 can: move can_stats.bus_off++ from can_bus_off into can_change_state
In order to be able to move the stats increment from can_bus_off() into
can_change_state(), the increment had to be moved back into code that was using
can_bus_off() but not can_change_state().

As a side-effect, this patch fixes the following bugs:
 * Redundant call to can_bus_off() in c_can.
 * Bus-off counted twice in xilinx_can.

Alexey Khoroshilov efbd50d2f6 can: esd_usb2: fix memory leak on disconnect
It seems struct esd_usb2 dev is not deallocated on disconnect. The patch adds
the missing deallocation.

Christopher R. Baker 3e66d0138c can: populate netdev::dev_id for udev discrimination
My objective is to be able to totally discriminate CAN ports on multi-port
cards via udev so as to rename them to semantically interesting/unique names
for my system (e.g., "ecuCAN" and "auxCAN" instead of "can0" and "can1").

The following patch assigns the dev_id field to match the channel number on all
multi-channel devices. I can only test my two-port Peak PCI card, but it works
as expected: ATTRS{dev_id} now expresses the port number and my udev rules now
unambiguously pick out and rename my individual CAN ports.

Oliver Hartkopp c971fa2ae4 can: Unify MTU settings for CAN interfaces
CAN interfaces only support MTU values of 16 (CAN 2.0) and 72 (CAN FD).
Setting the MTU to other values is pointless but it does not really hurt.
With the introduction of the CAN FD support in drivers/net/can a new
function to switch the MTU for CAN FD has been introduced.

This patch makes use of this can_change_mtu() function to check for correct
MTU settings also in legacy CAN (2.0) devices.

Paul Gortmaker a81ab36bf5 drivers/net: delete non-required instances of include <linux/init.h>
None of these files are actually using any __init type directives
and hence don't need to include <linux/init.h>. Most are just a
left over from __devinit and __cpuinit removal, or simply due to
code getting copied from one driver to the next.

This covers everything under drivers/net except for wireless, which
has been submitted separately.

Maximilian Schneider 233a26e85f net: can: esd_usb2: check index of array before accessing
The esd_usb2_read_bulk_callback() function is parsing the data that comes from
the USB CAN adapter. One datum is used as an index to access the dev->nets[]
array. This patch adds the missing bounds checking.

Marc Kleine-Budde e428704650 can: esd_usb2: remove obsolete variable open_time
The variable open_time in the struct esd_usb2_net_priv was used to protect
esd_usb2_set_mode() only to be called, if the interface is up. Now the CAN
device infrastructure takes care of this.

Greg Kroah-Hartman d632eb1bf2 USB: convert drivers/net/* to use module_usb_driver()
This converts the drivers in drivers/net/* to use the
module_usb_driver() macro which makes the code smaller and a bit
simpler.

Added bonus is that it removes some unneeded kernel log messages about
drivers loading and/or unloading.
