Currently the driver re-implements the code found in of_get_videomode()
except for the fact that the latter honors the 'native-mode' property
to select a spcific video timing from the list of possible timings.
The driver builds up a list of all video timings, but uses only the
last mode from the list anyway. While building the list it incorrectly
OR's the 'pixelclk-active' and 'de-active' flags of all modes into
single flags, possibly leading to a wrong pixelclock or data-enable
polarity setting.
Fix this by using the of_get_videomode() directly with the
OF_USE_NATIVE_MODE flag.
Since all current dts files only have one entry in their
display-timings node, this bug was not apparent and the fix does not
change the driver's behaviour for the current users.

For a combination of 18bit LCD data bus width and a color
mode of 32bpp, the driver was setting the color mapping to
rgb666, which is wrong, as the color in memory realy has an
rgb888 layout.
This patch also removes the setting of flag CTRL_DF24 that
makes the driver dimiss the upper 2 bits when handling 32/24bpp
colors in a diplay with 18bit data bus width. This flag made
true color images display wrong in such configurations.
Finally, the color mapping rgb666 has also been removed as nobody
is using it and high level applications like Qt5 cannot work
with it either.

Instead of using a custom binding for retrieving the GPIO that activates the
LCD from devicetree, use a standard regulator.
This approach has the advantage to be more generic.
For example: in the case of a board that has a PMIC supplying the LCD voltage,
the current approach would not work, as it only searches for a GPIO pin.

There is no in-tree mxsfb users using mxsfb_platform_data dotclk_delay.
Let's remove it from mxsfb_platform_data to ease full device tree

There is no in-tree users of mxsfb_platform_data fb_phys/fb_size.
With CMA support in the kernel, there is no real need for platform to
reserve memory and pass address and size into driver via platform_data.
So let's remove fb_phys/fb_size from mxsfb_platform_data to ease full
device tree adoption.
Signed-off-by: Shawn Guo <shawn.guo@linaro.org>
The issue fixed by this patch manifests only then using X11
with mxsfb driver. The X11 will display either shifted image
or otherwise distorted image on the LCD.
The problem is that the X11 tries to reconfigure the framebuffer
and along the way calls fb_ops.fb_set_par() with X11's desired
configuration values. The field of particular interest is
fb_info->var.sync which contains non-standard values if
configured by kernel. These are either FB_SYNC_DATA_ENABLE_HIGH_ACT,
FB_SYNC_DOTCLK_FAILING_ACT or both, depending on the platform
configuration. Both of these values are defined in the
include/linux/mxsfb.h file.
The driver interprets these values and configures the LCD controller
accordingly. Yet X11 only has access to the standard values for this
field defined in include/uapi/linux/fb.h and thus, unlike kernel,
omits these special values. This results in distorted image on the
LCD.
This patch moves these non-standard values into new field of the
mxsfb_platform_data structure so the driver can in turn check this
field instead of the video mode field for these specific portions.
Moreover, this patch prefixes these values with MXSFB_SYNC_ prefix
instead of FB_SYNC_ prefix to prevent confusion of subsequent users.

changes since v2:
- use v3 and v4 for specifying the ip version instead of i.MX23/28.
This is a better namespace when future versions are added.
- rename mach/fb.h to mach/mxsfb.h
changes since v1:
- Add a LCDC_ prefix to the register names.
- use set/clear registers where appropriate
- protect call to mxsfb_disable_controller() in mxsfb_remove()
with a (host->enabled) as suggested by Lothar Wassmann
