Paulo Alcantara 04ad69c342 cifs: do not send close in compound create+close requests
In case of interrupted syscalls, prevent sending CLOSE commands for
compound CREATE+CLOSE requests by introducing an
CIFS_CP_CREATE_CLOSE_OP flag to indicate lower layers that it should
not send a CLOSE command to the MIDs corresponding the compound
CREATE+CLOSE request.

A simple reproducer:

    #!/bin/bash

    mount //server/share /mnt -o username=foo,password=***
    tc qdisc add dev eth0 root netem delay 450ms
    stat -f /mnt &>/dev/null & pid=$!
    sleep 0.01
    kill $pid
    tc qdisc del dev eth0 root

Shyam Prasad N 6d82c27ae5 cifs: Identify a connection by a conn_id.
Introduced a new field conn_id in TCP_Server_Info structure.
This is a non-persistent unique identifier maintained by the client
for a connection to a file server. For this, a global counter named
tcpSesNextId is maintained. On allocating a new TCP_Server_Info,
this counter is incremented and assigned.

Changed the dynamic tracepoints related to reconnects and
crediting to be more informative (with conn_id printed).
Debugging a crediting issue helped me understand the
important things to print here.

Always call dynamic tracepoints outside the scope of spinlocks.
To do this, copy out the credits and in_flight fields of the
server struct before dropping the lock.

Shyam Prasad N 0f56db8314 cifs: New optype for session operations.
We used to share the CIFS_NEG_OP flag between negotiate and
session authentication. There was an assumption in the code that
CIFS_NEG_OP is used by negotiate only. So introcuded CIFS_SESS_OP
and used it for session setup optypes.

Boris Protopopov 3970acf7dd SMB3: Add support for getting and setting SACLs
Add SYSTEM_SECURITY access flag and use with smb2 when opening
files for getting/setting SACLs. Add "system.cifs_ntsd_full"
extended attribute to allow user-space access to the functionality.
Avoid multiple server calls when setting owner, DACL, and SACL.

Shyam Prasad N cd7b699b01 cifs: Tracepoints and logs for tracing credit changes.
There is at least one suspected bug in crediting changes in cifs.ko
which has come up a few times in the discussions and in a customer
case.

This change adds tracepoints to the code which modifies the server
credit values in any way. The goal is to be able to track the changes
to the credit values of the session to be able to catch when there is
a crediting bug.

Steve French ebcd6de987 SMB3: avoid confusing warning message on mount to Azure
Mounts to Azure cause an unneeded warning message in dmesg
   "CIFS: VFS: parse_server_interfaces: incomplete interface info"

Azure rounds up the size (by 8 additional bytes, to a
16 byte boundary) of the structure returned on the query
of the server interfaces at mount time.  This is permissible
even though different than other servers so do not log a warning
if query network interfaces response is only rounded up by 8
bytes or fewer.

Steve French 3c3317daef smb3: fix stat when special device file and mounted with modefromsid
When mounting with modefromsid mount option, it was possible to
get the error on stat of a fifo or char or block device:
        "cannot stat <filename>: Operation not supported"

Special devices can be stored as reparse points by some servers
(e.g. Windows NFS server and when using the SMB3.1.1 POSIX
Extensions) but when the modefromsid mount option is used
the client attempts to get the ACL for the file which requires
opening with OPEN_REPARSE_POINT create option.

Rohith Surabattula 6259301124 SMB3: Resolve data corruption of TCP server info fields
TCP server info field server->total_read is modified in parallel by
demultiplex thread and decrypt offload worker thread. server->total_read
is used in calculation to discard the remaining data of PDU which is
not read into memory.

Because of parallel modification, server->total_read can get corrupted
and can result in discarding the valid data of next PDU.

Steve French fd08f2dbf0 smb3.1.1: rename nonces used for GCM and CCM encryption
Now that 256 bit encryption can be negotiated, update
names of the nonces to match the updated official protocol
documentation (e.g. AES_GCM_NONCE instead of AES_128GCM_NONCE)
since they apply to both 128 bit and 256 bit encryption.

Rohith Surabattula 8e670f77c4 Handle STATUS_IO_TIMEOUT gracefully
Currently STATUS_IO_TIMEOUT is not treated as retriable error.
It is currently mapped to ETIMEDOUT and returned to userspace
for most system calls. STATUS_IO_TIMEOUT is returned by server
in case of unavailability or throttling errors.

This patch will map the STATUS_IO_TIMEOUT to EAGAIN, so that it
can be retried. Also, added a check to drop the connection to
not overload the server in case of ongoing unavailability.

Vladimir Zapolskiy 64b7f674c2 cifs: Fix incomplete memory allocation on setxattr path
On setxattr() syscall path due to an apprent typo the size of a dynamically
allocated memory chunk for storing struct smb2_file_full_ea_info object is
computed incorrectly, to be more precise the first addend is the size of
a pointer instead of the wanted object size. Coincidentally it makes no
difference on 64-bit platforms, however on 32-bit targets the following
memcpy() writes 4 bytes of data outside of the dynamically allocated memory.

CIFS implements the fallocate(FALLOCATE_FL_PUNCH_HOLE) with send SMB
ioctl(FSCTL_SET_ZERO_DATA) to server. It just set the range of the
remote file to zero, but local page caches not updated, then the
local page caches inconsistent with server.

Also can be found by xfstests generic/316.

So, we need to remove the page caches before send the SMB
ioctl(FSCTL_SET_ZERO_DATA) to server.

Zhang Xiaoxu 6b69040247 cifs/smb3: Fix data inconsistent when zero file range
CIFS implements the fallocate(FALLOC_FL_ZERO_RANGE) with send SMB
ioctl(FSCTL_SET_ZERO_DATA) to server. It just set the range of the
remote file to zero, but local page cache not update, then the data
inconsistent with server, which leads the xfstest generic/008 failed.

So we need to remove the local page caches before send SMB
ioctl(FSCTL_SET_ZERO_DATA) to server. After next read, it will
re-cache it.

Xiyu Yang 77577de641 cifs: Fix cached_fid refcnt leak in open_shroot
open_shroot() invokes kref_get(), which increases the refcount of the
"tcon->crfid" object. When open_shroot() returns not zero, it means the
open operation failed and close_shroot() will not be called to decrement
the refcount of the "tcon->crfid".

The reference counting issue happens in one normal path of
open_shroot(). When the cached root have been opened successfully in a
concurrent process, the function increases the refcount and jump to
"oshr_free" to return. However the current return value "rc" may not
equal to 0, thus the increased refcount will not be balanced outside the
function, causing a refcnt leak.

Fix this issue by setting the value of "rc" to 0 before jumping to
"oshr_free" label.

The read/write codepath is different than the rest as it is using
pages, io iterators and async calls. To deal with those we add a
server pointer in the cifs_writedata/cifs_readdata/cifs_io_parms
context struct and set it in:

- cifs_writepages      (wdata)
- cifs_write_from_iter (wdata)
- cifs_readpages       (rdata)
- cifs_send_async_read (rdata)

The [rw]data->server pointer is eventually copied to
cifs_io_parms->server to pass it down to SMB2_read/SMB2_write.
If SMB2_read/SMB2_write is called from a different place that doesn't
set the server field it will pick a channel.

Some places do not pick a channel and just use ses->server or
cifs_ses_server(ses). All cifs_ses_server(ses) calls are in codepaths
involving negprot/sess.setup.

Christoph Hellwig 45dd052e67 fs: handle FIEMAP_FLAG_SYNC in fiemap_prep
By moving FIEMAP_FLAG_SYNC handling to fiemap_prep we ensure it is
handled once instead of duplicated, but can still be done under fs locks,
like xfs/iomap intended with its duplicate handling.  Also make sure the

Christoph Hellwig cddf8a2c4a fs: move fiemap range validation into the file systems instances
Replace fiemap_check_flags with a fiemap_prep helper that also takes the
inode and mapped range, and performs the sanity check and truncation
previously done in fiemap_check_range.  This way the validation is inside
the file system itself and thus properly works for the stacked overlayfs
case as well.

Paulo Alcantara 0fe0781f29 cifs: fix uninitialised lease_key in open_shroot()
SMB2_open_init() expects a pre-initialised lease_key when opening a
file with a lease, so set pfid->lease_key prior to calling it in
open_shroot().

This issue was observed when performing some DFS failover tests and
the lease key was never randomly generated.

The packet size needs to take account of SMB2 header size and possible
encryption header size. This is only done when signing is used and it is for
RDMA send/receive, not read/write.

Murphy Zhou ef4a632ccc CIFS: check new file size when extending file by fallocate
xfstests generic/228 checks if fallocate respect RLIMIT_FSIZE.
After fallocate mode 0 extending enabled, we can hit this failure.
Fix this by check the new file size with vfs helper, return
error if file size is larger then RLIMIT_FSIZE(ulimit -f).

This patch has been tested by LTP/xfstests aginst samba and
Windows server.

Murphy Zhou 979a2665eb CIFS: fiemap: do not return EINVAL if get nothing
If we call fiemap on a truncated file with none blocks allocated,
it makes sense we get nothing from this call. No output means
no blocks have been counted, but the call succeeded. It's a valid
response.

Simple example reproducer:

Shyam Prasad N 1be1fa42eb CIFS: Increment num_remote_opens stats counter even in case of smb2_query_dir_first
The num_remote_opens counter keeps track of the number of open files which must be
maintained by the server at any point. This is a per-tree-connect counter, and the value
of this counter gets displayed in the /proc/fs/cifs/Stats output as a following...

Open files: 0 total (local), 1 open on server
                             ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
As a thumb-rule, we want to increment this counter for each open/create that we
successfully execute on the server. Similarly, we should decrement the counter when
we successfully execute a close.

In this case, an increment was being missed in case of smb2_query_dir_first,
in case of successful open. As a result, we would underflow the counter and we
could even see the counter go to negative after sufficient smb2_query_dir_first calls.

I tested the stats counter for a bunch of filesystem operations with the fix.
And it looks like the counter looks correct to me.

I also check if we missed the increments and decrements elsewhere. It does not
seem so. Few other cases where an open is done and we don't increment the counter are
the compound calls where the corresponding close is also sent in the request.

Aurelien Aptel 86f740f2ae cifs: fix rename() by ensuring source handle opened with DELETE bit
To rename a file in SMB2 we open it with the DELETE access and do a
special SetInfo on it. If the handle is missing the DELETE bit the
server will fail the SetInfo with STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED.

We currently try to reuse any existing opened handle we have with
cifs_get_writable_path(). That function looks for handles with WRITE
access but doesn't check for DELETE, making rename() fail if it finds
a handle to reuse. Simple reproducer below.

To select handles with the DELETE bit, this patch adds a flag argument
to cifs_get_writable_path() and find_writable_file() and the existing
'bool fsuid_only' argument is converted to a flag.

The cifsFileInfo struct only stores the UNIX open mode but not the
original SMB access flags. Since the DELETE bit is not mapped in that
mode, this patch stores the access mask in cifs_fid on file open,
which is accessible from cifsFileInfo.

Steve French d26c2ddd33 cifs: add SMB3 change notification support
A commonly used SMB3 feature is change notification, allowing an
app to be notified about changes to a directory. The SMB3
Notify request blocks until the server detects a change to that
directory or its contents that matches the completion flags
that were passed in and the "watch_tree" flag (which indicates
whether subdirectories under this directory should be also
included).  See MS-SMB2 2.2.35 for additional detail.

To use this simply pass in the following structure to ioctl:
