Avoid moving the network layer header when prefixing tunnel headers.
This avoids an explicit call to bpf_skb_store_bytes and an implicit
move of the network header bytes in bpf_skb_adjust_room.

Segmentation offload takes a longer path. Verify that the feature
works with large packets.
The test succeeds if not setting dodgy in bpf_skb_adjust_room, as veth
TSO is permissive.
If not setting SKB_GSO_DODGY, this enables tunneled TSO offload on
supporting NICs.
The feature sets SKB_GSO_DODGY because the caller is untrusted. As a
result the packets traverse through the gso stack at least up to TCP.
And fail the gso_type validation, such as the skb->encapsulation check
in gre_gso_segment and the gso_type checks introduced in commit
418e897e07 ("gso: validate gso_type on ipip style tunnel").
This will be addressed in a follow-on feature patch. In the meantime,
disable the new gso tests.

Commit 7640ead939 ("bpf: verifier: make sure callees don't prune
with caller differences") connected up parentage chains of all
frames of the stack. It didn't, however, ensure propagate_liveness()
propagates all liveness information along those chains.
This means pruning happening in the callee may generate explored
states with incomplete liveness for the chains in lower frames
of the stack.
The included selftest is similar to the prior one from commit
7640ead939 ("bpf: verifier: make sure callees don't prune with
caller differences"), where callee would prune regardless of the
difference in r8 state.
Now we also initialize r9 to 0 or 1 based on a result from get_random().
r9 is never read so the walk with r9 = 0 gets pruned (correctly) after
the walk with r9 = 1 completes.
The selftest is so arranged that the pruning will happen in the
callee. Since callee does not propagate read marks of r8, the
explored state at the pruning point prior to the callee will
now ignore r8.
Propagate liveness on all frames of the stack when pruning.

After some experiences I found that urandom_read does not need to be
linked statically. When the 'read' syscall call is moved to separate
non-inlined function then bpf_get_stackid() is able to find
the executable in stack trace and extract its build_id from it.

eBPF "restricted C" code can be compiled with LLVM/clang using target
triplets like armv7l-unknown-linux-gnueabihf and loaded/run with small
cross-compiled gobpf/elf [1] programs without requiring a full BCC
port which is also undesirable on small embedded systems due to its
size footprint. The only missing pieces are these helper macros which
otherwise have to be redefined by each eBPF arm program.

Pull pidfd system call from Christian Brauner:
"This introduces the ability to use file descriptors from /proc/<pid>/
as stable handles on struct pid. Even if a pid is recycled the handle
will not change. For a start these fds can be used to send signals to
the processes they refer to.
With the ability to use /proc/<pid> fds as stable handles on struct
pid we can fix a long-standing issue where after a process has exited
its pid can be reused by another process. If a caller sends a signal
to a reused pid it will end up signaling the wrong process.
With this patchset we enable a variety of use cases. One obvious
example is that we can now safely delegate an important part of
process management - sending signals - to processes other than the
parent of a given process by sending file descriptors around via scm
rights and not fearing that the given process will have been recycled
in the meantime. It also allows for easy testing whether a given
process is still alive or not by sending signal 0 to a pidfd which is
quite handy.
There has been some interest in this feature e.g. from systems
management (systemd, glibc) and container managers. I have requested
and gotten comments from glibc to make sure that this syscall is
suitable for their needs as well. In the future I expect it to take on
most other pid-based signal syscalls. But such features are left for
the future once they are needed.
This has been sitting in linux-next for quite a while and has not
caused any issues. It comes with selftests which verify basic
functionality and also test that a recycled pid cannot be signaled via
a pidfd.
Jon has written about a prior version of this patchset. It should
cover the basic functionality since not a lot has changed since then:
https://lwn.net/Articles/773459/
The commit message for the syscall itself is extensively documenting
the syscall, including it's functionality and extensibility"

Patch series "sysctl: fix range-checking in do_proc_dointvec_minmax_conv()", v2.
After being left with an unusable system after a typo executing
something like 'echo $((1<<24)) > /proc/sys/vm/max_map_count', I found
that do_proc_dointvec_minmax_conv() was missing a check to ensure that
the converted value actually fits in an int.
The first of the following patches enhances the sysctl selftest such
that it detects this problem; the second provides a minimal fix
(suitable for -stable) such that the selftest passes. The third patch
then performs a more thorough refactoring to eliminate the code
duplication that led to the bug in the first place (maintaining the
passing status of the selftest).
This patch (of 3):
At present this exposes a bug in do_proc_dointvec_minmax_conv() (it
fails to check for values that are too wide to fit in an int).

Several of these scripts have come in as old-fashioned patches, and in
the process lost the executable bit. In most cases it doesn't matter,
since the test infrastructure will explicitly execute them using the
proper shell interpreter, but at least in the case of the new vmalloc
test, the lack of execurable bit caused the test to fail with
./run_vmtests: line 217: ./test_vmalloc.sh: Permission denied
because of the lacking exectuable permissions bit.
This patch fixes that up.
NOTE! A simple script to look for non-executable scripts in the kernel,
something like
git ls-files --stage -- '*.sh' |
grep 100644 |
cut -f2 |
xargs grep -l '#!'
will show that there's a lot of other files that _look_ like executable
shell scripts, but don't have the executable bit set. I considered just
scripting them all to be executable, but since it looks like the common
pattern is to not really require it, I'm just doing the minimal fix as
pointed out by the kernel test robot.

Cleaned up the whole transmission flow. Locking of the chip is now
done in the level of tpm_try_get_ops() and tpm_put_ops() instead
taking the chip lock inside tpm_transmit(). The nested calls inside

TPM PPI 1.3 introduces an additional optional command parameter that
may be needed for some commands. Display the parameter if the command
requires such a parameter. Only command 23 (SetPCRBanks) needs one.

Notable changes:
- Enable THREAD_INFO_IN_TASK to move thread_info off the stack.
- A big series from Christoph reworking our DMA code to use more of the generic
infrastructure, as he said:
"This series switches the powerpc port to use the generic swiotlb and
noncoherent dma ops, and to use more generic code for the coherent direct
mapping, as well as removing a lot of dead code."
- Increase our vmalloc space to 512T with the Hash MMU on modern CPUs, allowing
us to support machines with larger amounts of total RAM or distance between
nodes.
- Two series from Christophe, one to optimise TLB miss handlers on 6xx, and
another to optimise the way STRICT_KERNEL_RWX is implemented on some 32-bit
CPUs.
- Support for KCOV coverage instrumentation which means we can run syzkaller
and discover even more bugs in our code.
And as always many clean-ups, reworks and minor fixes etc.

Non-zero imm value in the second part of the ldimm64 instruction for
BPF_PSEUDO_MAP_FD is invalid, and thus must be rejected. The map fd
only ever sits in the first instructions' imm field. None of the BPF
loaders known to us are using it, so risk of regression is minimal.
For clarity and consistency, the few insn->{src_reg,imm} occurrences
are rewritten into insn[0].{src_reg,imm}. Add a test case to the BPF
selftest suite as well.

Add a test on egress that a large TCP packet successfully goes through
the lwt+bpf encap tunnel.
Although there is no direct evidence that GSO worked, as opposed to
e.g. TCP segmentation or IP fragmentation (maybe a kernel stats counter
should be added to track the number of failed GSO attempts?), without
the previous patch in the patchset this test fails, and printk-debugging
showed that software-based GSO succeeded here (veth is not compatible with
SKB_GSO_DODGY, so GSO happens in the software stack).
Also removed an unnecessary nodad and added a missed failed flag.

/* test_pidfd_send_signal_simple_success */
Test whether sending a signal via a pidfd works.
/* test_pidfd_send_signal_exited_fail */

pull-request: bpf-next 2019-03-04
The following pull-request contains BPF updates for your *net-next* tree.
The main changes are:
1) Add AF_XDP support to libbpf. Rationale is to facilitate writing
AF_XDP applications by offering higher-level APIs that hide many
of the details of the AF_XDP uapi. Sample programs are converted
over to this new interface as well, from Magnus.
2) Introduce a new cant_sleep() macro for annotation of functions
that cannot sleep and use it in BPF_PROG_RUN() to assert that
BPF programs run under preemption disabled context, from Peter.
3) Introduce per BPF prog stats in order to monitor the usage
of BPF; this is controlled by kernel.bpf_stats_enabled sysctl
knob where monitoring tools can make use of this to efficiently
determine the average cost of programs, from Alexei.
4) Split up BPF selftest's test_progs similarly as we already
did with test_verifier. This allows to further reduce merge
conflicts in future and to get more structure into our
quickly growing BPF selftest suite, from Stanislav.
5) Fix a bug in BTF's dedup algorithm which can cause an infinite
loop in some circumstances; also various BPF doc fixes and
improvements, from Andrii.
6) Various BPF sample cleanups and migration to libbpf in order
to further isolate the old sample loader code (so we can get
rid of it at some point), from Jakub.
7) Add a new BPF helper for BPF cgroup skb progs that allows
to set ECN CE code point and a Host Bandwidth Manager (HBM)
sample program for limiting the bandwidth used by v2 cgroups,
from Lawrence.
8) Enable write access to skb->queue_mapping from tc BPF egress
programs in order to let BPF pick TX queue, from Jesper.
9) Fix a bug in BPF spinlock handling for map-in-map which did
not propagate spin_lock_off to the meta map, from Yonghong.
10) Fix a bug in the new per-CPU BPF prog counters to properly
initialize stats for each CPU, from Eric.
11) Add various BPF helper prototypes to selftest's bpf_helpers.h,
from Willem.
12) Fix various BPF samples bugs in XDP and tracing progs,
from Toke, Daniel and Yonghong.
13) Silence preemption splat in test_bpf after BPF_PROG_RUN()
enforces it now everywhere, from Anders.
14) Fix a signedness bug in libbpf's btf_dedup_ref_type() to
get error handling working, from Dan.
15) Fix bpftool documentation and auto-completion with regards
to stream_{verdict,parser} attach types, from Alban.

4) Merge IPv4 and IPv6 masquerading infrastructure into one single module.
From Florian Westphal.
5) Patchset to remove nf_nat_l3proto structure to get rid of
indirections, from Florian Westphal.
6) Skip unnecessary conntrack timeout updates in case the value is
still the same, also from Florian Westphal.
7) Remove unnecessary 'fall through' comments in empty switch cases,
from Li RongQing.
8) Fix lookup to fixed size hashtable sets on big endian with 32-bit keys.
9) Incorrect logic to deactivate path of fixed size hashtable sets,
element was being tested to self.
10) Remove nft_hash_key(), the bitmap set is always selected for 16-bit
keys.
11) Use boolean whenever possible in IPVS codebase, from Andrea Claudi.
12) Enter close state in conntrack if RST matches exact sequence number,
from Florian Westphal.
13) Initialize dst_cache in tunnel extension, from wenxu.
14) Pass protocol as u16 to xt_check_match and xt_check_target, from

17) Fix unsafe update of basechain stats, from Li RongQing.
18) Make sure CONNTRACK_LOCKS is power of 2 to let compiler optimize
modulo operation as bitwise AND, from Li RongQing.
19) Use device_attribute instead of internal definition in the IDLETIMER
target, from Sami Tolvanen.
20) Merge redir, masq and IPv4/IPv6 NAT chain types, from Florian Westphal.

Add new prog_tests directory where tests are supposed to land.
Each prog_tests/<filename>.c is expected to have a global function
with signature 'void test_<filename>(void)'. Makefile automatically
generates prog_tests/tests.h file with entry for each prog_tests file:
#ifdef DECLARE
extern void test_<filename>(void);
...
#endif
#ifdef CALL
test_<filename>();
...
#endif
prog_tests/tests.h is included in test_progs.c in two places with
appropriate defines. This scheme allows us to move each function with
a separate patch without breaking anything.
Compared to the recent verifier split, each separate file here is
a compilation unit and test_progs.[ch] is now used as a place to put
some common routines that might be used by multiple tests.

By adding a check for an optional key/value pair to the test case
data, individual test cases may be skipped to prevent tdc from
aborting a test run due to setup or teardown failure.
If a test case is skipped, it will still appear in the results
output to allow for a consistent number of executed tests in each
run. However, the test will be marked as skipped.
This support for skipping extends to any plugins that may generate
additional results for each executed test.

carrier change to the stack.
There are two sets of carrier tests. The first slept after the carrier
was set to off, and when the second set ran, it was likely that the
linkwatch would be able to run again without much delay, reducing the
likelihood of a race. However, if you run 'fib_tests.sh -t carrier' on a

Sleeping on the second set of tests make the failures go away.

The netfilter conflicts were rather simple overlapping
changes.
However, the cls_tcindex.c stuff was a bit more complex.
On the 'net' side, Cong is fixing several races and memory
leaks. Whilst on the 'net-next' side we have Vlad adding
the rtnl-ness support.
What I've decided to do, in order to resolve this, is revert the
conversion over to using a workqueue that Cong did, bringing us back
to pure RCU. I did it this way because I believe that either Cong's
races don't apply with have Vlad did things, or Cong will have to
implement the race fix slightly differently.

tpmdd updates for Linux v5.1
From: Jarkko Sakkinen <jarkko.sakkinen@linux.intel.com>
Clean up the transmission flow
==============================
Cleaned up the whole transmission flow. Locking of the chip is now done in
the level of tpm_try_get_ops() and tpm_put_ops() instead taking the chip
lock inside tpm_transmit(). The nested calls inside tpm_transmit(), used
with the resource manager, have been refactored out.
Should make easier to perform more complex transactions with the TPM
without making the subsystem a bigger mess (e.g. encrypted channel patches
by James Bottomley).
PPI 1.3 support
===============
TPM PPI 1.3 introduces an additional optional command parameter that may be
needed for some commands. Display the parameter if the command requires
such a parameter. Only command 23 (SetPCRBanks) needs one.
The PPI request file will show output like this then:
# echo "23 16" > request
# cat request
23 16
# echo "5" > request
# cat request
5
Extend all PCR banks in IMA
===========================
Instead of static PCR banks array, the array of available PCR banks is now
allocated dynamically. The digests sizes are determined dynamically using a
probe PCR read without relying crypto's static list of hash algorithms.
This should finally make sealing of measurements in IMA safe and secure.

The livepatch selftest functions.sh library uses "$*" and an
intermediate variable to extract and then pass arguments from function
to function call. The effect of this combination is that the argument
list is flattened into a single argument. Sometimes this is benign, but
in cases like __load_mod(), the modprobe invocation will interpret all
the module parameters as a single parameter.
Drop the intermediate variable and use the "$@" special parameter as
described in the bash manual.

files used by "test_progs". These object files are really loaded and

This patch further extends sub-register mode compilation to all bpf object

help testing LLVM sub-register code-gen, kernel bpf selftest has much more

The kernel verifier has three levels of logs:
0: no logs
1: logs mostly useful
> 1: verbose
Current libbpf API functions bpf_load_program_xattr() and
bpf_load_program() cannot specify log_level.
The bcc, however, provides an interface for user to
specify log_level 2 for verbose output.
This patch added log_level into structure
bpf_load_program_attr, so users, including bcc, can use
bpf_load_program_xattr() to change log_level. The
supported log_level is 0, 1, and 2.
The bpf selftest test_sock.c is modified to enable log_level = 2.
If the "verbose" in test_sock.c is changed to true,
the test will output logs like below:
$ ./test_sock
func#0 @0
0: R1=ctx(id=0,off=0,imm=0) R10=fp0,call_-1
0: (bf) r6 = r1
1: R1=ctx(id=0,off=0,imm=0) R6_w=ctx(id=0,off=0,imm=0) R10=fp0,call_-1
1: (61) r7 = *(u32 *)(r6 +28)

pull-request: bpf-next 2019-02-07
The following pull-request contains BPF updates for your *net-next* tree.
The main changes are:
1) Add a riscv64 JIT for BPF, from Björn.
2) Implement BTF deduplication algorithm for libbpf which takes BTF type
information containing duplicate per-compilation unit information and
reduces it to an equivalent set of BTF types with no duplication and
without loss of information, from Andrii.
3) Offloaded and native BPF XDP programs can coexist today, enable also
offloaded and generic ones as well, from Jakub.
4) Expose various BTF related helper functions in libbpf as API which
are in particular helpful for JITed programs, from Yonghong.
5) Fix the recently added JMP32 code emission in s390x JIT, from Heiko.
6) Fix BPF kselftests' tcp_{server,client}.py to be able to run inside
a network namespace, also add a fix for libbpf to get libbpf_print()
working, from Stanislav.
7) Fixes for bpftool documentation, from Prashant.
8) Type cleanup in BPF kselftests' test_maps.c to silence a gcc8 warning,
from Breno.

When compiling test_maps selftest with GCC-8, it warns that an array
might be indexed with a negative value, which could cause a negative
out of bound access, depending on parameters of the function. This
is the GCC-8 warning:
gcc -Wall -O2 -I../../../include/uapi -I../../../lib -I../../../lib/bpf -I../../../../include/generated -DHAVE_GENHDR -I../../../include test_maps.c /home/breno/Devel/linux/tools/testing/selftests/bpf/libbpf.a -lcap -lelf -lrt -lpthread -o /home/breno/Devel/linux/tools/testing/selftests/bpf/test_maps

test_maps.c:1059:6: warning: array subscript -1 is below array bounds of ‘pid_t[<Ube20> + 1]’ [-Warray-bounds]

This patch simply guarantees that the task(s) variables are unsigned,
thus, they could never be a negative number (which they are not in
current code anyway), hence avoiding an out of bound access warning.

Commit 9c65112744 ("selftests/btf: add initial BTF dedup tests")
added dedup tests in test_btf.c.
It broke the raw test:
BTF raw test[71] (func proto (Bad arg name_off)):
btf_raw_create:2905:FAIL Error getting string #65535, strs_cnt:1
The test itself encodes invalid func_proto parameter name
offset 0xffffFFFF as a negative test for the kernel.
The above commit changed the meaning of that offset and
resulted in a user space error.
#define NAME_NTH(N) (0xffff0000 | N)
#define IS_NAME_NTH(X) ((X & 0xffff0000) == 0xffff0000)
#define GET_NAME_NTH_IDX(X) (X & 0x0000ffff)
Currently, the kernel permits maximum name offset 0xffff.
Set the test name off as 0x0fffFFFF to trigger the kernel
verification failure.

With the recent print rework we now have the following problem:
pr_{warning,info,debug} expand to __pr which calls libbpf_print.
libbpf_print does va_start and calls __libbpf_pr with va_list argument.
In __base_pr we again do va_start. Because the next argument is a
va_list, we don't get correct pointer to the argument (and print noting
in my case, I don't know why it doesn't crash tbh).
Fix this by changing libbpf_print_fn_t signature to accept va_list and
remove unneeded calls to va_start in the existing users.
Alternatively, this can we solved by exporting __libbpf_pr and
changing __pr macro to (and killing libbpf_print):
{
if (__libbpf_pr)
__libbpf_pr(level, "libbpf: " fmt, ##__VA_ARGS__)

The global variable RET needs to be initialized before each call to
log_test. This test case sets it once before running the tests, but then
calls log_tests for every individual test. Thus a failure in one of the
tests causes spurious failures in follow-up tests as well.
Fix by moving the initialization of RET from test_all() to
full_test_span_gre_dir_acl(), a function that implements the test.

After one LAG slave is downed and another upped, it takes a while for
the neighbor on a bridge to time out and get renegotiated. The test does
prompt update of FDB entries by arpinging. But because the neighbor
still references another address, offloading is not possible, and some
packets may end up not being mirrored.
To force the neighbor renegotiation, simply flush the neighbor table at
the bridge.

The untagged egress test sets up mirroring to {,ip6}gretap such that the
underlay goes through a bridge. Then VLAN flags are manipulated to test
that the traffic leaves the bridge 802.1q-tagged or not, as appropriate.
However, when a neighbor expires at the time that the bridge VLAN is
configured as PVID and egress untagged, the following discovery process
can't finish, because the IP address on H3 is still at the VLAN-tagged
netdevice. This manifests by occasional failures where only several of
the 10 required packets get through.
Therefore, when reconfiguring the VLAN flags, move the IP address to the
appropriate device in the H3 VRF.
In addition to that, take this opportunity to embed an ASCII art diagram
to make the topology move obvious.

When running in an environment with poor performance (such as a

the last packet doesn't have enough time to get mirrored and the mirror
to arrive and bump the observed counters.

When running in a simulator, the TTL change takes a while to settle and
during this time the performance of the packet processing is lowered.
The resulting instability leads to ping sending more packets as it
assumes some have been dropped. This then leads to regular spurious
failures as more packets than expected are observed.

pull-request: bpf-next 2019-01-29
The following pull-request contains BPF updates for your *net-next* tree.
The main changes are:
1) Teach verifier dead code removal, this also allows for optimizing /
removing conditional branches around dead code and to shrink the
resulting image. Code store constrained architectures like nfp would
have hard time doing this at JIT level, from Jakub.
2) Add JMP32 instructions to BPF ISA in order to allow for optimizing
code generation for 32-bit sub-registers. Evaluation shows that this
can result in code reduction of ~5-20% compared to 64 bit-only code
generation. Also add implementation for most JITs, from Jiong.
3) Add support for __int128 types in BTF which is also needed for
vmlinux's BTF conversion to work, from Yonghong.
4) Add a new command to bpftool in order to dump a list of BPF-related
parameters from the system or for a specific network device e.g. in
terms of available prog/map types or helper functions, from Quentin.
5) Add AF_XDP sock_diag interface for querying sockets from user
space which provides information about the RX/TX/fill/completion
rings, umem, memory usage etc, from Björn.
6) Add skb context access for skb_shared_info->gso_segs field, from Eric.
7) Add support for testing flow dissector BPF programs by extending
existing BPF_PROG_TEST_RUN infrastructure, from Stanislav.
8) Split BPF kselftest's test_verifier into various subgroups of tests
in order better deal with merge conflicts in this area, from Jakub.
9) Add support for queue/stack manipulations in bpftool, from Stanislav.
10) Document BTF, from Yonghong.
11) Dump supported ELF section names in libbpf on program load
failure, from Taeung.
12) Silence a false positive compiler warning in verifier's BTF
handling, from Peter.
13) Fix help string in bpftool's feature probing, from Prashant.
14) Remove duplicate includes in BPF kselftests, from Yue.

This patch enables testing some eBPF programs under sub-register
compilation mode.
Only enable this when there is BPF_JMP32 support on both LLVM and kernel.
This is because only after BPF_JMP32 added, code-gen for complex program
under sub-register mode will be clean enough to pass verification.
This patch splits TEST_GEN_FILES into BPF_OBJ_FILES and
BPF_OBJ_FILES_DUAL_COMPILE. The latter are those objects we would like to
compile for both default and sub-register mode. They are also objects used
by "test_progs".

new IPv6 defrag behavior:
- min IPv6 frag size is now 8 instead of 1280
- new test cases to cover IPv6 defragmentation in nf_conntrack_reasm.c
- new "permissive" mode in negative (overlap) tests: netfilter
sometimes drops invalid packets without passing them to IPv6
underneath, and thus defragmentation sometimes succeeds when
it is expected to fail; so the permissive mode does not fail the
test if the correct reassembled datagram is received instead of a

The cpu-hotplug test assumes that we can offline the maximum CPU as
described by /sys/devices/system/cpu/offline. However, in the case
where the number of CPUs exceeds like kernel configuration then
the offline count can be greater than the present count and we end
up trying to test the offlining of a CPU that is not available to
offline. Fix this by testing the maximum present CPU instead.
Also, the test currently offlines the CPU and does not online it,

ARP suppression allows the Linux bridge to answer ARP requests on behalf
of remote hosts. It reduces the amount of packets a VTEP needs to flood.
This test verifies that ARP suppression on / off works when a neighbour
exists and when it does not exist. It does so by sending an ARP request
from a host connected to one VTEP and checking whether it was received
by a second VTEP.

In asymmetric routing the ingress VTEP routes the packet into the
correct VXLAN tunnel, whereas the egress VTEP only bridges the packet to
the correct host. Therefore, packets in different directions use
different VNIs - the target VNI.
The test uses a simple topology with two VTEPs and two VNIs and verifies
that ping passes between hosts (local / remote) in the same VLAN (VNI)
and in different VLANs belonging to the same tenant (VRF).

Looking at stack_map_get_build_id_offset() it seems that it is racy (by

It's GNU Make and linker specific.
The default Makefile rule looks like:
$(CC) $(CFLAGS) $(LDFLAGS) $@ $^ $(LDLIBS)
When linking is done by gcc itself, no issue, but when it needs to be passed
to proper ld, only LDLIBS follows and then ld cannot know what libs to link
with.
More detail:
https://www.gnu.org/software/make/manual/html_node/Implicit-Variables.html
LDFLAGS
Extra flags to give to compilers when they are supposed to invoke the linker,
‘ld’, such as -L. Libraries (-lfoo) should be added to the LDLIBS variable
instead.
LDLIBS
Library flags or names given to compilers when they are supposed to invoke the
linker, ‘ld’. LOADLIBES is a deprecated (but still supported) alternative to
LDLIBS. Non-library linker flags, such as -L, should go in the LDFLAGS
variable.

tools/perf: libraries must come after objects

There was a bug where the per-mm pkey state was not being preserved across
fork() in the child. fork() is performed in the pkey selftests, but all of
the pkey activity is performed in the parent. The child does not perform
any actions sensitive to pkey state.
To make the test more sensitive to these kinds of bugs, add a fork() where
the parent exits, and execution continues in the child.
To achieve this let the key exhaustion test not terminate at the first
allocation failure and fork after 2*NR_PKEYS loops and continue in the
child.

A new self test that forces MSR[TS] to be set without calling any TM
instruction. This test also tries to cause a page fault at a signal
handler, exactly between MSR[TS] set and tm_recheckpoint(), forcing
thread->texasr to be rewritten with TEXASR[FS] = 0, which will cause a BUG
when tm_recheckpoint() is called.
This test is not deterministic, since it is hard to guarantee that the page
access will cause a page fault. In order to force more page faults at
signal context, the signal handler and the ucontext are being mapped into a
MADV_DONTNEED memory chunks.
Tests have shown that the bug could be exposed with few interactions in a
buggy kernel. This test is configured to loop 5000x, having a good chance
to hit the kernel issue in just one run. This self test takes less than
two seconds to run.
This test uses set/getcontext because the kernel will recheckpoint
zeroed structures, causing the test to segfault, which is undesired because
the test needs to rerun, so, there is a signal handler for SIGSEGV which
will restart the test.

With very small change to test script we can trigger softlockup due to
bogus assignment of 'p' (policy to be examined) on restart.
Previously the two to-be-merged nodes had same address/prefixlength pair,
so no erase/reinsert was necessary, we only had to append the list from
node a to b.
If prefix lengths are different, the node has to be deleted and re-inserted
into the tree, with the updated prefix length. This was broken; due to
bogus update to 'p' this loops forever.
Add a 'restart' label and use that instead.
While at it, don't perform the unneeded reinserts of the policies that
are already sorted into the 'new' node.
A previous patch in this series made xfrm_policy_inexact_list_reinsert()
use the relative position indicator to sort policies according to age in
case priorities are identical.

The existing script lacks a policy pattern that triggers 'tree node
merges' in the kernel.
Consider adding policy affecting following subnet:
pol1: dst 10.0.0.0/22
pol2: dst 10.0.0.0/23 # adds to existing 10.0.0.0/22 node
-> no problems here. But now, lets consider reverse order:
pol1: dst 10.0.0.0/24
pol2: dst 10.0.0.0/23 # CANNOT add to existing node
When second policy gets added, the kernel must check that the new node
("10.0.0.0/23") doesn't overlap with any existing subnet.
Example:
dst 10.0.0.0/24
dst 10.0.0.1/24
dst 10.0.0.0/23
When the third policy gets added, the kernel must replace the nodes for
the 10.0.0.0/24 and 10.0.0.1/24 policies with a single one and must merge
all the subtrees/lists stored in those nodes into the new node.
The existing test cases only have overlaps with a single node, so no
merging takes place (we can always remove the 'old' node and replace
it with the new subnet prefix).
Add a few 'block policies' in a pattern that triggers this, with a priority
that will make kernel prefer the 'esp' rules.
Make sure the 'tunnel ping' tests still pass after they have been added.

When running the test on the Spectrum ASIC the generated packets are
counted on the ingress filter and injected back to the pipeline because
of the 'pass' action. The router block then drops the packets due to
checksum error, as the test generates packets with zero checksum.
When running the test on an emulator that is not as strict about
checksum errors the test fails since packets are counted twice. Once by
the emulated ASIC on its ingress filter and again by the kernel as the
emulator does not perform checksum validation and allows the packets to
be trapped by a matching host route.
Fix this by changing the action to 'drop', which will prevent the packet
from continuing further in the pipeline to the router block.
For veth pairs this change is essentially a NOP given packets are only
processed once (by the kernel).

Commit ade446403b ("net: ipv4: do not handle duplicate fragments as
overlapping") changed IPv4 defragmentation so that duplicate fragments,
as well as _some_ fragments completely covered by previously delivered
fragments, do not lead to the whole frag queue being discarded. This
makes the existing ip_defrag selftest flaky.
This patch
* makes sure that negative IPv4 defrag tests generate truly overlapping
fragments that trigger defrag queue drops;
* tests that duplicate IPv4 fragments do not trigger defrag queue drops;
* makes a couple of minor tweaks to the test aimed at increasing its code
coverage and reduce flakiness.

21) Remove egdev usage from nfp and mlx5, and remove the facility
completely from the tree as it no longer has any users. From Oz
Shlomo and others.
22) Add a NETDEV_PRE_CHANGEADDR so that drivers can veto the change and
therefore abort the operation before the commit phase (which is the
NETDEV_CHANGEADDR event). From Petr Machata.
23) Add indirect call wrappers to avoid retpoline overhead, and use them
in the GRO code paths. From Paolo Abeni.
24) Add support for netlink FDB get operations, from Roopa Prabhu.
25) Support bloom filter in mlxsw driver, from Nir Dotan.

the auxiliary SKB data used by IPSEC and bridge netfilter, and is
designed to support the needs to MPTCP which could be integrated in
the future.
27) Lots of XDP TX optimizations in mlx5 from Tariq Toukan.
