First round of IIO new device support, features and cleanups for the 4.7 cycle.
New core support * UV light modifier (for intensity) * UV light index channel type. New device support * hp206c barometer and altimeter - new driver. * mcp4131 potentiometer - new driver supporting lots of parts from Microchip. * mma8452 - FXLS8471Q support - NXP LPC18XX SOC ADC - new driver. - NXP LPC18XX SOC DAC - new driver. - rockchip_saradc - support rk3399 * st accel - h3lis331dl support Staging driver removals * adis16204 - obsolete part making it hard to get parts to test the driver in order to clean it up. * adis16220 - obsolete part making it hard to get the parts test the driver in order to clean it up. Features * core - convenience functions to claim / release direct access to the device. Makes more consistent handling of this corner easier. Used in ad7192 driver. * ak8975 - power regulator support. * at91-sama5d2 - differential channel support. * mma8452 - runtime pm support - drop device specific autosleep and use the runtime pm one instead. * ms5611 - DT bindings - oversampling ratio support Cleanups and minor fixes * MAINTAINERS - Peter got married - hence name change! * Documentation - Fix a typo in in_proximity_raw description. - Add some missing docs for iio_buffer_access_funcs. * Tools - update iio_event_monitor names to match new stuff. - make generic_buffer look for triggers ending in -trigger as we let these in for a number of drivers a long time back and now it is a fairly common option. Drivers * staging wide - convert bare unsigned usage to unsigned int to comply with coding style. * non staging wide: - since boiler plate gpio handling of interrupts has been moved into the ACPI core we don't need to include gpio/consumer.h in a load of drivers so drop it. * ad7606 - fix an endian casting sparse warning. * ak8975 - fix a possible unitialized warning from gcc. - drop and unused field left over from earlier cleanups - fix a missing regulator_disable on exit. * at91-sama5d2 - typo and indentation - missing IOMEM dependency. - cleanup mode register usage by avoidling erasing whole thing when changing the sampling frequency. * bmc150 - use the core demux and available_scan_masks to simplify buffer handling - optimize the transfers in the trigger handler now we have a magic function to emulate bulk reads (under circumstances met here). This matters with some rather dumb i2c adapters in particular. - use a single regmap_conf for all bus types as they were all the same. * bmg160 - use the core demux and available_scan_masks to simplify the buffer handling - optimize the transfers in the trigger handler now we have a magic funciton to emulate bulk rads (under circumstances met here). - drop gpio interrupt probing from the driver (ACPI) as now handled by the ACPI core. * ina2xx-adc - update the CALIB register when RShunt changes. - fix scale for VShunt - in reality this error canceled out when used. * isl29028 - use regmap to retrieve the struct device instead of carrying a second copy of it around. * kxcjk-1013 - use core demux - optimize i2c transfers in the trigger handler. * mcp4531 - refactor to use a pointer to access model parameters instead of indexing into the array each time. * mma8452 - style fixes - avoid swtiching to active whenever the config changes - add missin i2c_device_id for mma8451 * mpu6050 - fix possible NULL dereference. - fix the name / chip_id used when ACPI used (otherwise reports as NULL). * ms5611 - fix a missing regulator_disable that left the regulator on during removal. * mxc4005 - drop gpio interrupt handling for ACPI case from driver as the core now handles this case. * st-sensors - note that there are only ever a maximum of 3 axis on current st-sensors so just allocate a fixed sized buffer big enough for that. * tpl0102 - change the i2c_check_functionality condition to bring it inline with other IIO users as EOPNOTSUPP. * tsl2563 - replace deprecated flush_scheduled_work -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2 iQIcBAABCAAGBQJXAYogAAoJEFSFNJnE9BaIhtsQAK9hsojCFC4EmcE0LdlC7A6r h/Any+ehurHSQIZmAZ1mn8QDBedf6Afpj+jl/qt/DADQk3e3u+TO1TbVHHUDB8Na ynvt1eibnUPAKxjbetUnPfOTaksp2GN8oScjPqk/3xmP1ip/uP3l2DM+jBOspW2K 44UDpKE/aeulyCeG8wBHLY0ySuipQ8ZJyebETM3E94UrNdMHiuMyRA+SEbhcG+0T GyHYrlmPScFlk3xlhuYk7kS6gJQG0xg6u/qyuaBlQMKY1KXMGknU8sxSmqxRmCNn pJ3MeHZY6hFe3PNTgd30z+xbXN4JAifyUBHT2foRF86+f0BJSNIZJo/ynfCPli4z Rl+4M9NziYxw4V6osjKtPBquvk8UV6G/1tcgrr5pNFJor4dk6xRg/xCotYsqZuMX ypWOMuvkPQq+mqf68uJYlE++/A3xHP7aHdOlsXMgM8605KH1aSecbUP2dhRbHdRs u8XTt8Xj6uumQnxUnKjDZGIsDaxyw5JwarjhiNdJaCRgAgFw2qmNiFWYNkBaxxOt BheQBceoHLHDk/qTDsi0b5KDLqvArrbY8L6WBR+gW21isFpho5VDMgBSfNfdObGB nYaYTBcdx6sXm1SC1bMwVcgMnd3Bs4eWJRw79VFz/pFtTOc5Xpj4uVvnNCzuomqb MygKzQb48Gx23saBy4Za =SgQo -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- Merge tag 'iio-for-4.7a' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/jic23/iio into staging-next Jonathan writes: First round of IIO new device support, features and cleanups for the 4.7 cycle. Pull orangefs filesystem from Mike Marshall. This finally merges the long-pending orangefs filesystem, which has been much cleaned up with input from Al Viro over the last six months. From the documentation file: "OrangeFS is an LGPL userspace scale-out parallel storage system. It is ideal for large storage problems faced by HPC, BigData, Streaming Video, Genomics, Bioinformatics. Orangefs, originally called PVFS, was first developed in 1993 by Walt Ligon and Eric Blumer as a parallel file system for Parallel Virtual Machine (PVM) as part of a NASA grant to study the I/O patterns of parallel programs. Orangefs features include: - Distributes file data among multiple file servers - Supports simultaneous access by multiple clients - Stores file data and metadata on servers using local file system and access methods - Userspace implementation is easy to install and maintain - Direct MPI support - Stateless" see Documentation/filesystems/orangefs.txt for more in-depth details. * tag 'ofs-pull-tag-1' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/hubcap/linux: (174 commits) orangefs: fix orangefs_superblock locking orangefs: fix do_readv_writev() handling of error halfway through orangefs: have ->kill_sb() evict the VFS side of things first orangefs: sanitize ->llseek() orangefs-bufmap.h: trim unused junk orangefs: saner calling conventions for getting a slot orangefs_copy_{to,from}_bufmap(): don't pass bufmap pointer orangefs: get rid of readdir_handle_s ornagefs: ensure that truncate has an up to date inode size orangefs: move code which sets i_link to orangefs_inode_getattr orangefs: remove needless wrapper around GFP_KERNEL orangefs: remove wrapper around mutex_lock(&inode->i_mutex) orangefs: refactor inode type or link_target change detection orangefs: use new getattr for revalidate and remove old getattr orangefs: use new getattr in inode getattr and permission orangefs: use new orangefs_inode_getattr to get size in write and llseek orangefs: use new orangefs_inode_getattr to create new inodes orangefs: rename orangefs_inode_getattr to orangefs_inode_old_getattr orangefs: remove inode->i_lock wrapper orangefs: put register_chrdev immediately before register_filesystem ... |

Merge branch 'i2c/for-next' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/wsa/linux
Pull i2c updates from Wolfram Sang: "Mostly usual driver updates and improvements. The changelog should give an idea. Standing out is the i2c-qup driver with lots of new capabilities and we also have now an i2c-demuxer. I'd especially like to welcome Peter Rosin as the i2c-mux maintainer. He has an interesting series for muxes in the queue and agreed to look after this part of the subsystem. Thank you, Peter, and welcome again! The octeon changes were applied pretty recently before the merge window. I am aware. They are the first (and relatively simple) patches of a larger overhaul to this driver. In case something goes wrong with them, they are easy to fix (or revert). The advantage I see is that they are out of the way, and I can concentrate on the next block of patches. I really would like to apply the overhaul in smaller batches to avoid regressions. And waiting a cycle for the introductory patches seemed too much of a delay for me" * 'i2c/for-next' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/wsa/linux: (39 commits) i2c: octeon: Support I2C_M_RECV_LEN i2c: octeon: Cleanup resource allocation code i2c: octeon: Cleanup i2c-octeon driver MAINTAINERS: add Peter Rosin as i2c mux maintainer dt-bindings: i2c: Spelling s/propoerty/property/ i2c: immediately mark ourselves as registered i2c: i801: sort IDs alphabetically MAINTAINERS: Mika and me are designated reviewers for I2C DESIGNWARE i2c: octeon: Cleanup kerneldoc comments i2c: do not use internal data from driver core i2c: cadence: Fix the kernel-doc warnings i2c: imx: remove extra spaces. i2c: rcar: don't open code of_device_get_match_data() i2c: qup: Fix fifo handling after adding V2 support i2c: xiic: Implement power management i2c: piix4: Pre-shift the port number i2c: piix4: Always use the same type for port i2c: piix4: Support alternative port selection register i2c: tegra: don't open code of_device_get_match_data() i2c: riic, sh_mobile, rcar: Use ARCH_RENESAS ... |

Pull networking updates from David Miller: "Highlights: 1) Support more Realtek wireless chips, from Jes Sorenson. 2) New BPF types for per-cpu hash and arrap maps, from Alexei Starovoitov. 3) Make several TCP sysctls per-namespace, from Nikolay Borisov. 4) Allow the use of SO_REUSEPORT in order to do per-thread processing of incoming TCP/UDP connections. The muxing can be done using a BPF program which hashes the incoming packet. From Craig Gallek. 5) Add a multiplexer for TCP streams, to provide a messaged based interface. BPF programs can be used to determine the message boundaries. From Tom Herbert. 6) Add 802.1AE MACSEC support, from Sabrina Dubroca. 7) Avoid factorial complexity when taking down an inetdev interface with lots of configured addresses. We were doing things like traversing the entire address less for each address removed, and flushing the entire netfilter conntrack table for every address as well. 8) Add and use SKB bulk free infrastructure, from Jesper Brouer. 9) Allow offloading u32 classifiers to hardware, and implement for ixgbe, from John Fastabend. 10) Allow configuring IRQ coalescing parameters on a per-queue basis, from Kan Liang. 11) Extend ethtool so that larger link mode masks can be supported. From David Decotigny. 12) Introduce devlink, which can be used to configure port link types (ethernet vs Infiniband, etc.), port splitting, and switch device level attributes as a whole. From Jiri Pirko. 13) Hardware offload support for flower classifiers, from Amir Vadai. 14) Add "Local Checksum Offload". This is the bulk of GPIO changes for kernel v4.6:
Core changes: - The gpio_chip is now a *real device*. Until now the gpio chips were just piggybacking the parent device or (gasp) floating in space outside of the device model. We now finally make GPIO chips devices. The gpio_chip will create a gpio_device which contains a struct device, and this gpio_device struct is kept private. Anything that needs to be kept private from the rest of the kernel will gradually be moved over to the gpio_device. - As a result of making the gpio_device a real device, we have added resource management, so devm_gpiochip_add_data() will cut down on overhead and reduce code lines. A huge slew of patches convert almost all drivers in the subsystem to use this. - Building on making the GPIO a real device, we add the first step of a new userspace ABI: the GPIO character device. We take small steps here, so we first add a pure *information* ABI and the tool "lsgpio" that will list all GPIO devices on the system and all lines on these devices. We can now discover GPIOs properly from userspace. We still have not come up with a way to actually *use* GPIOs from userspace. - To encourage people to use the character device for the future, we have it always-enabled when using GPIO. The old sysfs ABI is still opt-in (and can be used in parallel), but is marked as deprecated. We will keep it around for the foreseeable future, but it will not be extended to cover ever more use cases. Cleanup: - Bjorn Helgaas removed a whole slew of per-architecture <asm/gpio.h> includes. This dates back to when GPIO was an opt-in feature and no shared library even existed: just a header file with proper prototypes was provided and all semantics were up to the arch to implement. These patches make the GPIO chip even more a proper device and cleans out leftovers of the old in-kernel API here and there. Still some cruft is left but it's very little now. - There is still some clamping of return values for .get() going on, but we now return sane values in the vast majority of drivers and the errorpath is sanitized. Some patches for powerpc, blackfin and unicore still drop in. - We continue to switch the ARM, MIPS, blackfin, m68k local GPIO implementations to use gpiochip_add_data() and cut down on code lines. - MPC8xxx is converted to use the generic GPIO helpers. - ATH79 is converted to use the generic GPIO helpers. firewire: ABI documentation: libhinawa uses firewire-cdev
Hinawa [https://github.com/takaswie/libhinawa/] is a library for access to IEEE 1394 devices. As a gobject introspection library, it facilitates writing applications in high-level programming languages. Besides generic I/O via /dev/fw* (firewire-cdev ABI), it also supports control of IEEE 1394 audio hardware via ALSA hwdep ABIs which are provided by sound/firewire drivers. dmaengine: add Qualcomm Technologies HIDMA management driver
The Qualcomm Technologies HIDMA device has been designed to support virtualization technology. The driver has been divided into two to follow the hardware design. 1. HIDMA Management driver 2. HIDMA Channel driver Each HIDMA HW consists of multiple channels. These channels share some set of common parameters. These parameters are initialized by the management driver during power up. Same management driver is used for monitoring the execution of the channels. Management driver can change the performance behavior dynamically such as bandwidth allocation and prioritization. The management driver is executed in host context and is the main management entity for all channels provided by the device. Third set of IIO new device support, features and cleanups for the 4.6 cycle.
Good to see several new contributors in this set - and more generally a number of new 'faces' over this whole cycle. Staging movements * hmc5843 - out of staging. * periodic RTC trigger - driver dropped. This is an ancient driver (brings back some memories ;) that was always somewhat of a bodge. Originally there was a driver that never went into mainline that supported large numbers of periodict timers on the PXA270 via this route. Discussions to have a generic periodic timer subsystem never went anywhere. At the time RTC periodic interrupts were real - now they are emulated using high resolution timers so with the HRT driver this has become pointless. New device support * mpu6050 driver - Add support for the mpu6500. * TI tpl0102 potentiometer - new driver. * Vybrid SoC DAC - new driver. The ADC on this SoC has been supported for a while, this adds a separate driver for the DAC. New Features * hmc5844 - Attributes to configure the bias current (typically part of a self test) This could be done before via a somewhat obscure custom interface. This at least makes it easy to tell what is going on. - Document all custom attributes. * mpu6050 - Add support for calibration offset control and readback. * ms5611 - power regulator support. This is always one that gets added the first time someone has a board that needs it. Here it was needed, hence it was added. Cleanups / minor fixes * tree wide - clean up all the myriad different return values in response to a failure of i2c_check_functionality. After discussions everyone seemed happy wiht -EOPNOTSUPP which seems to describe the situation well. I encouraged a tree wide cleanup to set a good example in future for this. * core - Typos in the iio_event_spec documentation in iio.h * afe4403 - select REGMAP_SPI to avoid dependency issues - mark suspend/resume as __maybe_unused to avoid warnings * |

With this patchset we finally introduce our new routing protocol:
B.A.T.M.A.N. V. Its implementation started quite some years ago, but due to the big changes being introduced it took a while to be discussed, designed, worked, re-worked, tested and debugged (well, we're never done with the latest). The entire operation has basically been a team work involving all the core contributors together with other people interested in the project. The new protocol is divided into two main subcomponents, called respectively ELP and OGMv2. The former is in charge of dealing with the neighbour discovery and link quality estimation, while the latter implements the algorithm that spreads the metrics around the network and computes optimal paths. The biggest change introduced with B.A.T.M.A.N. V is the new metric: the protocol won't rely on packet loss anymore, but it will use the estimated throughput extracted directly from the wifi driver (when available) by querying cfg80211. Batman-adv will also send some unicast probing packets when an interface is not used for payload traffic to make sure that such values are current. The new protocol can be compiled-in or not like other features we have and when selected will pull in CFG80211 as dependency for the reason described above. Thanks to the big work brought up in the past by Marek Lindner, batman-adv can easily deal several protocol implementations, therefore compiling in this new version does not exclude the older. This means that the user is offered the option to choose the protocol when creating the mesh interface (default is the old one to keep backward compatibility). Along with the protocol there are some sysfs knobs that are introduced to fine tune some of its behaviours, but users are recommended to keep the default values unless they know what they are doing. The last patch is about advertising our own patchwork platform (thanks to Sven Eckelmann for having set that up!) in the MAINTAINERS file. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2 iQIcBAABCAAGBQJW1AvOAAoJENpFlCjNi1MRKxsP/1BR8Wh3MrtNhX7MMe7PnZEQ p00kArkjtnZCbBVFbG3JduqYaOPnGyzCLgBgF3DnOxx8gAGUEu6fu4AQNNr9jiUM 4lPnPbe5NuvjzQW27fJDZMuy4Y1FLaJ5DeoYjDH48/YDNS38nzlPPtNwg0pJA2TG C22dM6CX9kzxiy5RETmjgIjK2fgIybudWtCv7BGZxNyiqMaq+bYD+ZJJ6/wbj/FV uKbWB28puJZ3U3qTJ6ygbhAq8moeubp/nbZeh2RGkhpmnS7LKgdLWyPxJLAEza7Z jbdhyAE2xDYaU2xxVdOH9GecSYeUlQ+mrBdEblo2cfKMgShwZBrNjQxCaJIHN3G9 ta44yUpjGFl6/HIQnzfNZD4bTRNnb/DeRTG5qWxdrGAbxZESsMPf1Ph/hZ+KvSZ5 7eSZPmVGRYl8hJaLc25bG8pCOLQRsx/54hXNqYRqmImiPQi4IRvKUQkEDXBpHrT+ EwChfIQvCJSzZQAljrhYP/ytg/CiZxNKgW1u8cJRlHRs3jbBxJUJ67gvf2yWdQdj Luc76uLA1++8QLqhny6AtLeRrr7mYDFnJuNjkwbqWFSyBK6r/lKS1L3ereTfeVIM 5VWMuEDlbWuPscufDJ6WDgWwTqypybjvYbnDlQV7xHap7OegyS/ukQVz2W5lXvS1 gGERfC8WeW1JnFb5TSAY =qd6p -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- Merge tag 'batman-adv-for-davem' of git://git.open-mesh.org/linux-merge Antonio Quartulli says: ==================== batman-adv 20160229 this is our (hopefully) latest batch of patches intended for net-next. batman-adv: add throughput override attribute to hard_ifaces
This attribute is exported to user space to disable the link throughput auto-detection by setting a fixed value. The throughput override value is used when batman-adv is computing the link throughput towards a neighbour. If the value is set to 0 then batman-adv will try to detect the throughput by itself. batman-adv: ELP - adding sysfs parameter for elp interval
This parameter can be set individually on each interface and allows the configuration of the elp interval for the link quality measurements during runtime. Add IMA policy support for measuring/appraising the kexec image and initramfs. Two new IMA policy identifiers KEXEC_KERNEL_CHECK and KEXEC_INITRAMFS_CHECK are defined. Example policy rules: measure func=KEXEC_KERNEL_CHECK appraise func=KEXEC_KERNEL_CHECK appraise_type=imasig measure func=KEXEC_INITRAMFS_CHECK appraise func=KEXEC_INITRAMFS_CHECK appraise_type=imasig Moving the enumeration to the vfs layer simplified the patches, allowing the IMA changes, for the most part, to be separated from the other changes. Unfortunately, passing either a kernel_read_file_id or a ima_hooks enumeration within IMA is messy. Option 1: duplicate kernel_read_file enumeration in ima_hooks enum kernel_read_file_id { ... READING_KEXEC_IMAGE, READING_KEXEC_INITRAMFS, READING_MAX_ID enum ima_hooks { ... KEXEC_KERNEL_CHECK KEXEC_INITRAMFS_CHECK Option 2: define ima_hooks as extension of kernel_read_file eg: enum ima_hooks { FILE_CHECK = READING_MAX_ID, MMAP_CHECK, In order to pass both kernel_read_file_id and ima_hooks values, we would need to specify a struct containing a union. struct caller_id { union { enum ima_hooks func_id; enum kernel_read_file_id read_id; }; }; Option 3: incorportate the ima_hooks enumeration into kernel_read_file_id, perhaps changing the enumeration name. For now, duplicate the new READING_KEXEC_IMAGE/INITRAMFS in the ima_hooks. Changelog v4: - replaced switch statement with a kernel_read_file_id to an ima_hooks id mapping array - Dmitry - renamed ima_hook tokens KEXEC_CHECK and INITRAMFS_CHECK to KEXEC_KERNEL_CHECK and KEXEC_INITRAMFS_CHECK respectively - Dave Young Signed-off-by: Mimi Zohar <zohar@linux.vnet.ibm.com> Acked-by: Petko Manolov <petkan@mip-labs.com> Acked-by: Dmitry Kasatkin <dmitry.kasatkin@huawei.com> Cc: Dave Young <dyoung@redhat.com> |

i2c: mux: demux-pinctrl: add driver
This driver allows an I2C bus to switch between multiple masters. This is not hot-switching because connected I2C slaves will be re-instantiated. It is meant to select the best I2C core at runtime once the task is known. Example: Prefer i2c-gpio over another I2C core because of HW errata affecting your use case. firmware: create directory hierarchy for sysfs fw_cfg entries
Each fw_cfg entry of type "file" has an associated 56-char, nul-terminated ASCII string which represents its name. While the fw_cfg device doesn't itself impose any specific naming convention, QEMU developers have traditionally used path name semantics (i.e. "etc/acpi/rsdp") to descriptively name the various fw_cfg "blobs" passed into the guest. This patch attempts, on a best effort basis, to create a directory hierarchy representing the content of fw_cfg file names, under /sys/firmware/qemu_fw_cfg/by_name. Upon successful creation of all directories representing the "dirname" portion of a fw_cfg file, a symlink will be created to represent the "basename", pointing at the appropriate /sys/firmware/qemu_fw_cfg/by_key entry. If a file name is not suitable for this procedure (e.g., if its basename or dirname components collide with an already existing dirname component or basename, respectively) the corresponding fw_cfg blob is skipped and will remain available in sysfs only by its selector key value. firmware: introduce sysfs driver for QEMU's fw_cfg device
Make fw_cfg entries of type "file" available via sysfs. Entries are listed under /sys/firmware/qemu_fw_cfg/by_key, in folders named after each entry's selector key. Filename, selector value, and size read-only attributes are included for each entry. Also, a "raw" attribute allows retrieval of the full binary content of each entry. The fw_cfg device can be instantiated automatically from ACPI or the Device Tree, or manually by using a kernel module (or command line) parameter, with a syntax outlined in the documentation file. usb: patches for v4.5
A ton of improvements to dwc2 have been made. The driver should be a lot more stable on v4.5 then ever before. IB/cma: Add configfs for rdma_cm
Users would like to control the behaviour of rdma_cm. For example, old applications which don't set the required RoCE gid type could be executed on RoCE V2 network types. In order to support this configuration, we implement a configfs for rdma_cm. In order to use the configfs, one needs to mount it and mkdir <IB device name> inside rdma_cm directory. The patch adds support for a single configuration file, default_roce_mode. The mode can either be "IB/RoCE v1" or "RoCE v2". usb: core: lpm: add sysfs node for usb3 lpm permit
USB3 LPM is default on in Linux kernel if both xHCI host controller and the USB devices declare to be LPM-capable. Unfortunately, some devices are known to work well with LPM disabled, but to be broken if LPM is enabled, although it declares the LPM capability. Users won't be able to use this kind of devices, until someone puts them in the kernel blacklist and gets the kernel upgraded. This patch adds a sysfs node to permit or forbit USB3 LPM U1 or U2 entry for a port. The settings apply to both before and after device enumeration. Supported values are "0" - neither u1 nor u2 permitted, "u1" - only u1 is permitted, "u2" - only u2 is permitted, "u1_u2" - both u1 and u2 are permitted. With this interface, users can use an LPM-unfriendly USB device on a released Linux kernel. SCSI misc on 20151113
Sorry for the delay in this patch which was mostly caused by getting the merger of the mpt2/mpt3sas driver, which was seen as an essential item of maintenance work to do before the drivers diverge too much. Unfortunately, this caused a compile failure (detected by linux-next), which then had to be fixed up and incubated. In addition to the mpt2/3sas rework, there are updates from pm80xx, lpfc, bnx2fc, hpsa, ipr, aacraid, megaraid_sas, storvsc and ufs plus an assortment of changes including some year 2038 issues, a fix for a remove before detach issue in some drivers and a couple of other minor issues. st: allow debug output to be enabled or disabled via sysfs
Change st driver to allow enabling or disabling debug output via sysfs file /sys/bus/scsi/drivers/st/debug_flag. Previously the only way to enable debug output was: 1. loading the driver with the module parameter debug_flag=1 2. an ioctl call (this method was also the only way to dynamically disable debug output). To use the ioctl you need a second tape drive (if you are actively testing the first tape drive) since a second process cannot open the first tape drive if it is in use. The this change is only functional if the value of the macro DEBUG in st.c is a non-zero value (which it is by default). HID: roccat: Fixed resubmit: Deprecating most Roccat sysfs attributes
Deprecates all Roccat sysfs attributes except the ones for the old Kone by moving abi descriptions from testing to obsolete. For most devices everything can be done using the hidraw ioctls HIDIOCGFEATURE and HIDIOCSFEATURE, so I would suggest future removal of device specific drivers. The userspace tools don't use these attributes for a year now. The first Kone is not fully HID-compliant and will still need a module. f2fs: export ra_nid_pages to sysfs
After finishing building free nid cache, we will try to readahead asynchronously 4 more pages for the next reloading, the count of readahead nid pages is fixed. In some case, like SMR drive, read less sectors with fixed count each time we trigger RA may be low efficient, since we will face high seeking overhead, so we'd better let user to configure this parameter from sysfs in specific workload.
