On sam9x5, dedicated CTS (and RTS) pins are unusable together with the
LCDC, the EMAC, or the MMC because they share the same line.
Moreover, the USART controller doesn't handle DTR/DSR/DCD/RI signals,
so we have to control them via GPIO.
This patch permits to use GPIOs to control the CTS/RTS/DTR/DSR/DCD/RI
signals.

Two new drivers have been added since 3.14, the MEN 16z135 uart, and
the ARM semihosting console. Both are missing an explicit 'select
SERIAL_CORE', which can leads build errors when no other driver
selects the core, as found during ARM randconfig testing.
In case of the ARM semihosting console, we also have to select
SERIAL_CORE_CONSOLE.
This adds the missing 'select' statements.

This also renames functions and symbols, as far as possible without
breaking user space API, to reflect the Cadence origin. This is achieved
through simple search and replace:
- s/XUARTPS/CDNS_UART/g
- s/xuartps/cdns_uart/g
The only exceptions are PORT_XUARTPS and the driver name, which stay as is,
due to their exposure to user space. As well as the - no legacy -

coordination with the corresponding arch/sh changes, and we've agreed
to merge the arch/sh changes through our tree.
Added in this branch is support for Trusted Foundations secure firmware,

to arch/arm at this time since it's uncertain whether it will be shared
with arm64 longer-term, if needed we will refactor later.

The option allows you to remove TTY and compile without errors. This
saves space on systems that won't support TTY interfaces anyway.
bloat-o-meter output is below.
The bulk of this patch consists of Kconfig changes adding "depends on
TTY" to various serial devices and similar drivers that require the TTY
layer. Ideally, these dependencies would occur on a common intermediate
symbol such as SERIO, but most drivers "select SERIO" rather than
"depends on SERIO", and "select" does not respect dependencies.
bloat-o-meter output comparing our previous minimal to new minimal by
removing TTY. The list is filtered to not show removed entries with awk
'$3 != "-"' as the list was very long.

This special driver makes it possible to temporary use NMI debugger port
as a normal console by issuing 'nmi_console' command (assuming that the
port is attached to KGDB).
Unlike KDB's disable_nmi command, with this driver you are always able
to go back to the debugger using KGDB escape sequence ($3#33). This is
because this console driver processes the input in NMI context, and thus
is able to intercept the magic sequence.
Note that since the console interprets input and uses polling
communication methods, for things like PPP it is still better to fully
detach debugger port from the KGDB NMI (i.e. disable_nmi), and use raw
console.
Usually, to enter the debugger one have to type the magic sequence, so
initially the kernel will print the following prompt on the NMI debugger
console:
Type $3#33 to enter the debugger>
For convenience, there is a kgdb_fiq.knock kernel command line option,
when set to 0, this turns the special command to just a return key
press, so the kernel will be printing this:
Hit <return> to enter the debugger>
This is more convenient for long debugging sessions, although it makes
nmi_console feature somewhat useless.
And for the cases when NMI connected to a dedicated button, the knocking
can be disabled altogether by setting kgdb_fiq.knock to -1.

Pull powerpc merge from Benjamin Herrenschmidt:
"Here's the powerpc batch for this merge window. It is going to be a
bit more nasty than usual as in touching things outside of
arch/powerpc mostly due to the big iSeriesectomy :-) We finally got
rid of the bugger (legacy iSeries support) which was a PITA to
maintain and that nobody really used anymore.
Here are some of the highlights:
- Legacy iSeries is gone. Thanks Stephen ! There's still some bits
and pieces remaining if you do a grep -ir series arch/powerpc but
they are harmless and will be removed in the next few weeks
hopefully.
- The 'fadump' functionality (Firmware Assisted Dump) replaces the
previous (equivalent) "pHyp assisted dump"... it's a rewrite of a
mechanism to get the hypervisor to do crash dumps on pSeries, the
new implementation hopefully being much more reliable. Thanks
Mahesh Salgaonkar.
- The "EEH" code (pSeries PCI error handling & recovery) got a big
spring cleaning, motivated by the need to be able to implement a
new backend for it on top of some new different type of firwmare.
The work isn't complete yet, but a good chunk of the cleanups is
there. Note that this adds a field to struct device_node which is
not very nice and which Grant objects to. I will have a patch soon
that moves that to a powerpc private data structure (hopefully
before rc1) and we'll improve things further later on (hopefully
getting rid of the need for that pointer completely). Thanks Gavin
Shan.
- I dug into our exception & interrupt handling code to improve the
way we do lazy interrupt handling (and make it work properly with
"edge" triggered interrupt sources), and while at it found & fixed
a wagon of issues in those areas, including adding support for page
fault retry & fatal signals on page faults.
- Your usual random batch of small fixes & updates, including a bunch
of new embedded boards, both Freescale and APM based ones, etc..."
I fixed up some conflicts with the generalized irq-domain changes from
Grant Likely, hopefully correctly.

The recent commit "serial: add irq handler for Freescale 16550 errata"
would allow Kconfig choices that had 8250 support as a module and
yet still try and build in the errata fix non-modular, resulting
in build failures for some non-embedded PPC targets.
Since we hook in the errata fix from legacy_serial.c, which is
built only for PPC_UDBG_16550, and since the errata is only really
relevant for SysRQ on serial console, tighten up the dependencies
to be exactly that.
We'll get coverage on the relevant Freescale boards because the
Kconfig for their CPU types all select the PPC_UDBG_16550 option,
and the defconfigs also all select the 8250_CONSOLE option. Also,
the 8250_CONSOLE option has a strict dependency on "SERIAL_8250=y"
which resolves the reported problem for non Freescale targets.

chips seems to cause a short lived IRQ storm (/proc/interrupts
typically shows somewhere between 300 and 1500 events). Unfortunately
this renders SysRQ over the serial console completely inoperable.
The suggested workaround in the errata is to read the Rx register,
wait one character period, and then read the Rx register again.
We achieve this by tracking the old LSR value, and on the subsequent
interrupt event after a break, we don't read LSR, instead we just
read the RBR again and return immediately.
The "fsl,ns16550" is used in the compatible field of the serial
device to mark UARTs known to have this issue.
Thanks to Scott Wood for providing the errata data which led to
a much cleaner fix.

Commit 8c8fdbc9bd ("[ARM] Remove arch-imx from build system") dropped
ARCH_IMX. So this last reference to ARCH_IMX has been an
(inconsequential) nop since v2.6.31. And because ARCH_MXC practically
implies ARM we can also drop the reference to the latter symbol.

This driver has been broken at least since 2008. At that time,
a88487c79b (Fix compile errors in SGI console drivers) broke this
driver completely.
And since nobody noticed for the past 3 years, move it into staging. I
think this will rot there and we will throw it away completely after
some time. Or maybe someone will volunteer to fix it ;).

The PORT_S3C2400 definition in include/linux/serial_core.h is left there

This driver supports UART-DM HW on MSM platforms. It uses the on
chip DMA to drive data transfers and has optional support for UART
power management independent of Linux suspend/resume and wakeup
from Rx.
The driver was originally developed by Google. It is functionally
equivalent to the version available at:
http://android.git.kernel.org/?p=kernel/experimental.git
the differences being:
1) Remove wakelocks and change unsupported DMA API.
2) Replace clock selection register codes by macros.
3) Fix checkpatch errors and add inline documentation.
4) Add runtime PM hooks for active power state transitions.
5) Handle error path and cleanup resources if required.
