Linus Torvalds b3345d7c57 ARM: SoC platform changes for 3.17
This is the bulk of new SoC enablement and other platform changes for 3.17:

 * Samsung S5PV210 has been converted to DT and multiplatform
 * Clock drivers and bindings for some of the lower-end i.MX 1/2 platforms
 * Kirkwood, one of the popular Marvell platforms, is folded into the
   mvebu platform code, removing mach-kirkwood.
 * Hwmod data for TI AM43xx and DRA7 platforms.
 * More additions of Renesas shmobile platform support
 * Removal of plat-samsung contents that can be removed with S5PV210 being
multiplatform/DT-enabled and the other two old platforms being removed.

New platforms (most with only basic support right now):

 * Hisilicon X5HD2 settop box chipset is introduced
 * Mediatek MT6589 (mobile chipset) is introduced
 * Broadcom BCM7xxx settop box chipset is introduced

+ as usual a lot other pieces all over the platform code.

Linus Torvalds 44c916d58b ARM: SoC cleanups for 3.17
This merge window brings a good size of cleanups on various
 platforms. Among the bigger ones:

 * Removal of Samsung s5pc100 and s5p64xx platforms. Both of these have
lacked active support for quite a while, and after asking around nobody
showed interest in keeping them around. If needed, they could be
resurrected in the future but it's more likely that we would prefer
reintroduction of them as DT and multiplatform-enabled platforms
   instead.
 * OMAP4 controller code register define diet. They defined a lot of registers
that were never actually used, etc.
 * Move of some of the Tegra platform code (PMC, APBIO, fuse, powergate)
to drivers/soc so it can be shared with 64-bit code. This also converts them
over to traditional driver models where possible.
 * Removal of legacy gpio-samsung driver, since the last users have been
   removed (moved to pinctrl)

Plus a bunch of smaller changes for various platforms that sort of
dissapear in the diffstat for the above. clps711x cleanups, shmobile
header file refactoring/moves for multiplatform friendliness, some misc
 cleanups, etc.

Thomas Petazzoni c9668fa7aa ARM: mvebu: add appended DTB support in mvebu_v5_defconfig
The mvebu_v5_defconfig is currently used for Kirkwood platforms, and
in the future hopefully used for Orion5x platforms. Those platforms
use fairly old bootloaders that don't have Device Tree support, so it
makes sense to enable appended DTB support by default, as well as the
backward compatibility with ATAGS passed by the bootloader for those
platforms. It helps having a defconfig that works fine out of the box
for most Kirkwood platforms.

Olof Johansson bfda90cbb8 ARM: bcm: Fix bcm and multi_v7 defconfigs
BCM (Kona/capri platform) has regressed in two ways on this release. First,
bcm_defconfig no longer selected the appropriate MMC driver options due to
changes in dependencies. Secondly, the new MFD and regulator drivers were not
enabled on multi_v7_defconfig, so that caused the system to fail probing MMC
there.

Fix by enabling the new options as needed.

Stephen Warren 216e9d3e8b ARM: multi_v7_defconfig: re-enable SDHCI drivers
Following 5d01b7684b "mmc: simplify SDHCI Kconfig dependencies",
SDHCI drivers that use MMC_SDHCI_PLTFM no longer select it, but
instead depend on it. This means that multi_v7_defconfig no longer
selects it, and hence many SDHCI drivers are no longer enabled.
Explicitly enable MMC_SDHCI_PLTFM to solve this.

Arnd Bergmann 2ad501cc1d ARM: omap2: fix am43xx dependency on l2x0 cache
Commit d941f86fad ("ARM: l2c: AM43x: add L2 cache support") enabled
the L2 cache support for the am43xx SoC, but caused a build regression
when the driver for that cache controller is disabled:

arch/arm/mach-omap2/built-in.o: In function `am43xx_init_early':
:(.init.text+0xb20): undefined reference to `omap_l2_cache_init'

This did not happen for OMAP4, which has the same call, but enables
the l2x0 driver unconditionally. We could do the same thing for
am43xx, but it seems better to allow turning it off and make the
code work in either case.

This adds an inline wrapper for omap_l2_cache_init for the disabled
case, and removes the 'select' from OMAP4 so it becomes a user
visible option.

Linus Torvalds 2dc24b0d06 ARM: SoC updates for 3.16 (part 2)
This is a small follow-up to the larger ARM SoC updates merged
last week, almost entirely for the keystone platform.

The main change here is to use the new dma-ranges parsing code
that came in through Russell's ARM tree. This allows the keystone
platform to do cache-coherent DMA and to finally support all the
available physical memory when LPAE is enabled.

Aside from this, the keystone reset driver has been rewritten,
and there is a small bug fix to allow building the orion5x platform
 again.

Nothing huge here, but lots of little things in the USB core, and in
lots of drivers. Hopefully the USB power management will be work better

There's also a raft of gadget driver updates and fixes, CONFIG_USB_DEBUG
is finally gone now that everything has been converted over to the
dynamic debug inteface, the last hold-out drivers were cleaned up and
the config option removed. There were also other minor things all
through the drivers/usb/ tree, the shortlog shows this pretty well.

Linus Torvalds c67d9ce166 ARM: SoC board support updates for 3.16
The bulk of this branch is updates for Renesas Shmobile. They are still
doing some enablement for classic boards first, and then come up with DT
bindings when they've had a chance to learn more about the hardware. Not
necessarily a bad way to go about it, and they're looking at moving some
of the temporary board code resulting from it to drivers/staging instead
 to avoid the churn here.

As a result of the shmobile clock cleanups, we end up merging quite a
bit of SH code here as well. We ended up merging it here instead of in
the cleanup branch due to the other board changes depending on it.

Pull ARM SoC board support updates from Olof Johansson:
"The bulk of this branch is updates for Renesas Shmobile. They are
still doing some enablement for classic boards first, and then come up
with DT bindings when they've had a chance to learn more about the
hardware. Not necessarily a bad way to go about it, and they're
looking at moving some of the temporary board code resulting from it
to drivers/staging instead to avoid the churn here.

As a result of the shmobile clock cleanups, we end up merging quite a
bit of SH code here as well. We ended up merging it here instead of
in the cleanup branch due to the other board changes depending on it"

Linus Torvalds 825f4e0271 ARM: SoC updates for 3.16 (part 1)
A quite large set of SoC updates this cycle. In no particular order:

 - Multi-cluster power management for Samsung Exynos, adding support for
   big.LITTLE CPU switching on EXYNOS5
 - SMP support for Marvell Armada 375 and 38x
 - SMP rework on Allwinner A31
 - Xilinx Zynq support for SOC_BUS, big endian
 - Marvell orion5x platform cleanup, modernizing the implementation and
   moving to DT.
 - _Finally_ moving Samsung Exynos over to support MULTIPLATFORM, so
that their platform can be enabled in the same kernel binary as most
of the other v7 platforms in the tree. \o/ The work isn't quite complete,
there's some driver fixes still needed, but the basics now work.

 New SoC support added:
 - Freescale i.MX6SX
 - LSI Axxia AXM55xx SoCs
 - Samsung EXYNOS 3250, 5260, 5410, 5420 and 5800
 - STi STIH407

Plus a large set of various smaller updates for different platforms. I'm
probably missing some important one here.

Olof Johansson fe388fac0f Samsung Exynos updates for 3.16
- add new SoCs support
   : exynos3250, 5260, 5410 and 5800

 - enable multi-platform on exynos
: consolidate exynos related Kconfig entries

Note that this requires tags/samsung-cleanup and tags/samsung-clk-2
because of mostly migration exynos specific macros into mach-exynos
 and exynos related Kconfig entries.

One more merge conflict happens in arch/arm/Kconfig for ARCH_EXYNOS
due to SRAM stuff, even though tried to sort them out. Since just
resolving it would be better I think, please remove ARCH_EXYNOS in
 arch/arm/Kconfig when merge conflict happens.

Stefan Agner 11fd0a41cd ARM: add drivers for Colibri T30 to multi_v7_defconfig
Toradex Colibri Evaluation Board uses the DS1307 RTC and the
MCP251x CAN controller. The NVIDIA Tegra 3 based Colibri T30
module can be used on this carrier board, hence enable those
drivers in tegra_defonfig and multi_v7_defconfig.

Furthermore the NVIDIA Tegra 3 based Apalis T30 module too
contains two MCP251x CAN controller.

Arnd Bergmann 650052b141 Merge branch 'axxia/soc' into next/soc
Patches from Anders Berg applied individually:

Here is version 4 of platform support for AXM5516 SoC.

The clk driver is now applied to clk-next. The rest should be ready for
arm-soc. Haven't got any response from the power/reset maintainers... I hope
this driver can be taken via arm-soc as well.

The AXM55xx family consists of devices that may contain up to 16 ARM Cortex-A15
cores (in a 4x4 cluster configuration). The cores within each cluster share an
L2 cache, and the clusters are connected to each other via a CCN-504 cache
coherent interconnect.

This machine requires CONFIG_ARM_LPAE enabled as all peripherals are located
above 4GB in the memory map.

power: reset: Add Axxia system reset driver

Tony Lindgren c1be2032f6 ARM: dts: Enable N900 keyboard sleep leds by default
On N900 there are nice LEDs that show the state of the
sys_clkreq and sys_off_mode pins.

These LEDs go low when the system enters deeper idle
states. The left LED shows the state of the sys_clkreq
pin, and goes off during retention idle. The right LED
shows the state of sys_off_mode pin and both go off
during off idle.

As N900 is a battery operated device, these LEDs should
be off most of the time. So let's enable them by default
so we can make sure the system is mostly idle.

This allows the maintainers to also immediately test
patches for PM regressions by looking at the LEDs,
which certainly makes my life easier.

The LED can naturally be disabled during runtime with:

# echo none > /sys/class/leds/debug::sleep/trigger

Note that we don't currently have support for omap3
errata 1.158 that remuxes GPIO pins to INPUT_PULLUP |
MUX_MODE7 for the duration of idle. This means that the
GPIO pins set high will go down during off idle. In this
case it does not matter as the sys_off_mode goes down
too, but there's still a slim chance of false off idle
LED signals. If in doubt, false LED signals can be
verified by the sys_off_mode or vdd_core values.

Also note that to allow the UARTs to autoidle, the
following needs to be run on N900 to enable off idle:

#!/bin/sh
uarts=$(find /sys/class/tty/ttyO*/device/power/ -type d)
for uart in $uarts; do
	echo 3000 > $uart/autosuspend_delay_ms
done

uarts=$(find /sys/class/tty/ttyO*/power/ -type d)
for uart in $uarts; do
	echo enabled > $uart/wakeup
	echo auto > $uart/control
done

echo 1 > /sys/kernel/debug/pm_debug/enable_off_mode

For retention idle, change the above to set 0 to
enable_off_mode.

Also note that without the twl4030 PM scripts the actual
voltage scaling won't happen for off idle so we only get
voltage scaling over I2C4 for retention idle. I'll do
some device tree patches for those also a bit later on.
