ARM: DT changes, part 2
Here are some final updates for ARM SoC specific dts files: * The i.MX changes were sent relatively late, and had a dependency on the clk tree, so I delayed that a bit. Support for the new i.MX6qp SoC and a couple of new boards is added in this branch. * Uniphier renames a few files to match the final product names that were decided by the company, kudos to the kernel developer(s) for getting support upstream before the product release. Also two boards are added. The patches were posted early enough and nice overall, but we forgot to apply them and decided to give it some more time in linux-next * at91 has two small bug fixes. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1 iQIVAwUAVvQeGGCrR//JCVInAQLZSw//fuKWje/vigu4a8M8zQ9O3gN/8Elebq8E OTY73jjpUfsJsRrqLPt9vmhrMsZ4raOIvG47B3ptwzvlV5ToRnlKEyyaYe200oxZ 5x+3i1jg20XRfTXwgusnENI+nqFO32VDaqSpYhUk6b1603RSzjFi+e0SydJaV78a 3GDDe9Y9lB7e5U/0BWBltPgKTQLrjyk7F32I33fcj3RInVi2NrmijXWic1eersyr U0wHThKVGEHQSid+ZlSYZt0JnzotqCOpA+Pj3SrVCFdA9nOXT1lz1RTqSgNLhjfO oXBKUWy0Ld1Ayjplg55Z7+QzOnn/JttHtumFYYu2OZcbSGr2AGWmKixR3j9Fvo8Y X1xdo8eObMhxOrJIejy4NSC+xq/9Z7ur5mRcSMtfkmB1osirZrU9gevu6sBzV1Ha ea3wFDaoXmmIjA0d5rQirR4XhDV7zs0rfbLPJd6Av6MuTw/hF6VYpEyKVUUzOqld +jpDKweJhI64wKZ5oQ6AahCPV9LoQrTMk8ElJX07ndLSnYXAXz8B44O4It5b13fH 3UiWPX1tOV1HIed6z8zWUp77N5C5SeyNPtMcdvusf5/hS6gopgxGN3mqKmOUMLeO iwX2krBpuXWj+3T/FjqSFdUrHAzbmjTIgqv70dreqj4DTkmeYr9BoInjWtzgZ6c0 bUPwJ93kFDc= =p5al -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- Merge tag 'armsoc-dt2' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc Pull more ARM DT changes from Arnd Bergmann: "Here are some final updates for ARM SoC specific dts files: - The i.MX changes were sent relatively late, and had a dependency on the clk tree, so I delayed that a bit. Merge git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/davem/net-next
Pull networking updates from David Miller: "Highlights: 1) Support more Realtek wireless chips, from Jes Sorenson. 2) New BPF types for per-cpu hash and arrap maps, from Alexei Starovoitov. 3) Make several TCP sysctls per-namespace, from Nikolay Borisov. 4) Allow the use of SO_REUSEPORT in order to do per-thread processing of incoming TCP/UDP connections. The muxing can be done using a BPF program which hashes the incoming packet. From Craig Gallek. 5) Add a multiplexer for TCP streams, to provide a messaged based interface. BPF programs can be used to determine the message boundaries. From Tom Herbert. 6) Add 802.1AE MACSEC support, from Sabrina Dubroca. 7) Avoid factorial complexity when taking down an inetdev interface with lots of configured addresses. We were doing things like traversing the entire address less for each address removed, and flushing the entire netfilter conntrack table for every address as well. 8) Add and use SKB bulk free infrastructure, from Jesper Brouer. 9) Allow offloading u32 classifiers to hardware, and implement for ixgbe, from John Fastabend. 10) Allow configuring IRQ coalescing parameters on a per-queue basis, from Kan Liang. 11) Extend ethtool so that larger link mode masks can be supported. From David Decotigny. 12) Introduce devlink, which can be used to configure port link types (ethernet vs Infiniband, etc.), port splitting, and switch device level attributes as a whole. From Jiri Pirko. 13) Hardware offload support for flower classifiers, from Amir Vadai. 14) Add "Local Checksum Offload". Basically, for a tunneled packet the checksum of the outer header is 'constant' (because with the checksum field filled into the inner protocol header, the payload of the outer frame checksums to 'zero'), and we can take advantage of that in various ways. Staging driver patches for 4.6-rc1
Here is the big staging driver pull request for 4.6-rc1. Lots of little things here, over 1600 patches or so. Notible is all of the good Lustre work happening, those developers have finally woken up and are cleaning up their code greatly. The Outreachy intern application process is also happening, which brought in another 400 or so patches. Full details are in the very long shortlog. Device Support * ad5761 - new driver * at91_sama5d2 ADC. - new driver and MAINTAINERS entry. - minor cleanups followed. * atlas pH-SM - new driver (this has possibly the prettiest data sheet I've ever seen) * mcp3422 - mcp3425 ADC added. * mcp4725 - mcp4726 DAC added. * mma8452 - mma8451q accelerometer added. * mpl115 - mpl115a1 added (a lot bigger than it seems as this is an SPI part whereas previous parts were i2c). * si7005 - Hoperf th02 (seems to be a repackaged part) * si7020 - Hoperf th06 (seems to be a repackaged part) New features * Core - IIO_PH type. Does what it says on the tin. * max30100 - LED current configuration support. * mcp320x - more differential measurement combinations. * mma8452 - free fall deteciton - opt3001 - enable operation without a IRQ line. - device tree docs. Somehow the original docs have disappeared down a rabbit hole, so here is a new set. * st-sensors - Support active-low interrupts. Cleanups and minor / not so minor reworks * Documentation - drop some defunct ABI from the docs in staging. * presure / Kconfig - white space cleanup. * ad7150 - BIT macro usage - Alignment fixes * ad7192 - false indent fixed. * ak8975 - constify the ak_def structures * axp288 - drop a redundant double const. * dht11 - substantial reliability improvements by being more tolerant of missing start bits. - simplify the decoding algorithm * mma8452 - whitespace cleanup * mpl115 - don't bother setting i2c_client_data as nothing uses it. * mpu6050 - drop unused function parameter. * opt3001 - extract integration time as constants. - trivial refactoring. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2 iQIcBAABCAAGBQJWr8HEAAoJEFSFNJnE9BaIIWMP/A6hJdAi3QOipB75QYBHL3R2 7fe7Bcd83i2to/Ohk9XirRwyP7kCqt1ZP7cnaIAevNxmwQ9fqIFgrxCK8BfF+lMk 60PXfEdinPk1rWguqEMwaYq1xVAOTgWYl8F4GVG3nGIvTHovAYaZW0UcTUl5Gz+l WErEZQ5xgnf7e/29ds74eD3YaOti8E1mzhBLXFJH7lllsSMJttbp9Xb5J0QJrv4a Ly8Ru5DBRGZYKi0VplFIjncKLZgX/VUUSPNL+NXtPnGD2Qp2zx0bJ3eIqNmeEYZl isAGIc6l4XPXQLczyRaPbcQLobMxOHMP2uuXxY/OAbe2DX9/6ILcB2QigARAFHf2 7vVcx3JlxXUtwS/bPpZSd5hHrvjWLR7+gyuZTA4b/scV4+GvknMl8e6IIh4Ux3/T d24V37bOIENrXCoyf81veap0xca6xQNSzCVuo8+1+QYqn6DxvoJw3p38Cmxb8eB8 7M+nQJP9SwLtbSUak8g1KVrtWBNsMrMGwoiuZq5SkK1PQTSXnSaJPTL0OoPoefNi uIY5qD5FrUp9jlNbBP2M2E3CcG5CJcMElxyBgd7F5lEVxSWPOuyOcpJHIoCCCgIf o6vwOYXXfD4ytv/E6jg+Bbv3ZYCylFhcoZOqPgTC/sOnSI9RwhJ6XdAg6VU8sv07 piH1AVWb91HKRN2dt2ZB =fgTH -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- Merge tag 'iio-for-4.6a' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/jic23/iio into staging-next Jonathan writes: First round of new IIO device support, features and cleanups for the 4.6 cycle. ARM: DT updates for v4.4
As usual, this is the massive branch we have for each release. Lots of various updates and additions of hardware descriptions on existing hardware, as well as the usual additions of new boards and SoCs. This is also the first release where we've started mixing 64- and 32-bit DT updates in one branch. sound updates for 4.3-rc1
There are little changes in core part, but lots of development are found in drivers, especially ASoC. The diffstat shows regmap- related changes for a slight API additions / changes, and that's all. Looking at the code size statistics, the most significant addition is for Intel Skylake. (Note that SKL support is still underway, the codec driver is missing.) Also STI controller driver is a major addition as well as a few new codec drivers. In HD-audio side, there are fewer changes than the past. The noticeable change is the support of ELD notification from i915 graphics driver. Thus this pull request carries a few changes in drm/i915. Other than that, USB-audio got a rewrite of runtime PM code. It was initiated by lockdep warning, but resulted in a good cleanup in the end. Below are the highlights: Common: - Factoring out of AC'97 reset code from ASoC into the core helper - A few regmap API extensions (in case it's not pulled yet) ASoC: - New drivers for Cirrus CS4349, GTM601, InvenSense ICS43432, Realtek RT298 and ST STI controllers - Machine drivers for Rockchip systems with MAX98090 and RT5645 and RT5650 - Initial driver support for Intel Skylake devices - Lots of rsnd cleanup and enhancements - A few DAPM fixes and cleanups - A large number of cleanups in various drivers (conversion and standardized to regmap, component) mostly by Lars-Peter and Axel HD-audio: - Extended HD-audio core for Intel Skylake controller support - Quirks for Dell headsets, Alienware 15 - Clean up of pin-based quirk tables for Realtek codecs - ELD notifier implenetation for Intel HDMI/DP USB-audio: - Refactor runtime PM code to make lockdep happier -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2 iQIcBAABCAAGBQJV6TwJAAoJEGwxgFQ9KSmkZoEP/06GrsGlfgIfBbnlAKcsZ0t0 RDDCbxmwD8IsjTk180Gs3qBuhVPurhmPxq6Leow5fBktkEK5bIN3eAQkO9aIMroW xxU1UF6Q9XE2j97e/PhhUld7/NP0IQK/YTMuwX74G2kfEkA9Lktl4UjNMw9mKJX2 8OIwz8ZuqSG60znmGlgiqRE4M3Svs1L/jVP1wrPg2DXQfe+ptAJpUTsyVGOMRWm3 IaJ9h5OelPg8Jm61zcg6/pgsdYx4oquCV5wLwMz8rzIUfHb7ox8F7YKOzB+sXtYI zcsTfF2CqifoBcQAh9c+XE4+gMamAdheA+uc8ScUkcskucTj4Fr5tXLiPSN9QMt4 QGOOVjqcpWv5rWwAgzUJvl1/PT4HyQfkXn5tEQVGdg9Ab1SIcQBzD1+nHUV94vKZ N7/grMdqJ56zUGK2fEcBS6BEDlaSToOIHDrQ1iPFNBvmW8qjBq9tYaufTGC6Vtj2 0YKJukzIbyqLIgQtQf44aqLouFIz2lq437PqRQ4W+9C3FwGN9FKCYJ/JzvOGDIJa sSjEwQkJ9vnmZ3E2B30NKb24TG8pPq9WPIN2Rqe5EbHctU3gEnMScwvmG7SmCSG5 LtDVr6Q5XKFM56cVb7tdZl6Jv97BvGu6EERM+zN+8YyMver206rC8upWOev6R2q3 asvLDEchv7Qm3upx+PYg =/sXs -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- Merge tag 'sound-4.3-rc1' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/tiwai/sound Pull sound updates from Takashi Iwai: "There are little changes in core part, but lots of development are found in drivers, especially ASoC. The diffstat shows regmap-related changes for a slight API additions / changes, and that's all.
