Lu Baolu 5395875118 usb: misc: usbtest: add fix for driver hang
In sg_timeout(), req->status is set to "-ETIMEDOUT" before calling
into usb_sg_cancel(). usb_sg_cancel() will do nothing and return
directly if req->status has been set to a non-zero value. This will
cause driver hang whenever transfer time out is triggered.

This patch fixes this issue. It could be backported to stable kernel
with version later than v3.15.

Xiao Han 9c6256a5e7 usb: misc: ftdi-elan: Fix off-by-one memory corruptions
This patch fixes fives off-by-one bugs in the ftdi-elan driver code. The
bug can be triggered by plugging a USB adapter for CardBus 3G cards (model
U132 manufactured by Elan Digital Systems, Ltd), causing a kernel panic.
The fix was tested on Ubuntu 14.04.4 with 4.7.0-rc14.2.0-27-generic+ and
4.4.0-22-generic+ kernel. In the ftdi_elan_synchronize function, an
off-by-one memory corruption occurs when packet_bytes is equal or bigger
than m. After having read m bytes, that is bytes_read is equal to m, "
..\x00" is still copied to the stack variable causing an out bounds write
of 4 bytes, which overwrites the stack canary and results in a kernel
panic.

This off-by-one requires physical access to the machine. It is not
exploitable since we have no control on the overwritten data. Similar
off-by-one bugs have been observed in 4 other functions:
ftdi_elan_stuck_waiting, ftdi_elan_read, ftdi_elan_edset_output and
ftdi_elan_flush_input_fifo.

Peter Chen 28324936f3 usb: misc: usbtest: usbtest_do_ioctl may return positive integer
For case 14 and case 21, their correct return value is the number
of bytes transferred, so it is a positive integer. But in usbtest_ioctl,
it takes non-zero as false return value for usbtest_do_ioctl, so
it will treat the correct test as wrong test, then the time on
tests will be the minus value.

Heiner Kallweit a335aaf312 usb: misc: remove outdated USB LED driver
The USB LED driver exposes a undocumented sysfs interface and doesn't
use the standard kernel LED subsystem. It supports three devices:

Delcom Visual Signal Indicator
The driver supports generation 1 of the device only which was
manufactured until 2008. Remove support for this device completely.

Riso Kagaku RGB LED + Dream Cheeky Webmail Notifier
These devices are HID compliant and are supported by a new USB LED
driver under drivers/hid utilizing the kernel LED subsystem.

So let's remove the old USB LED driver.

Heikki Krogerus 0c1849a8c7 usb: Add driver for UCSI
USB Type-C Connector System Software Interface (UCSI) is
specification that defines the registers and data structures
that can be used to control USB Type-C ports on a system.
UCSI is used on several Intel Broxton SoC based platforms.
Things that UCSI can be used to control include at least USB
Data Role swapping, Power Role swapping and controlling of
Alternate Modes on top of providing general details about
the port and the partners that are attached to it.

The initial purpose of the UCSI driver is to make sure USB
is in host mode on desktop and server systems that are USB
dual role capable, and provide UCSI interface.

The goal is to integrate the driver later to an USB Type-C
framework for Linux kernel, and at the same time add support
for more extensive USB Type-C port control that UCSI offers,
for example data role swapping, power role swapping,
Alternate Mode control etc.

The UCSI specification is public can be obtained from here:

reporting memory allocation failures is redundant:

Deepa Dinamani 18fc4ebdc7 usb: misc: usbtest: Remove timeval usage
timeval is deprecated and not y2038 safe. Its size also changes according
to 32 bit/ 64 bit compilation. Replace it with 32 and 64 bit versions of
its individual fields, giving two ioctls with different code values.
The two ioctls are necessary to maintain the 32 bit and 64 bit userspace
compatibility with a 64/32 bit kernel.

Change unsigned to __u32 types for a definitive userspace interface.
This is in accordance with the psABI that the unsigned type is always
32 bits.

Also use motonic timer instead of real time to ensure positive delta
values.

Refactor usbtest_ioctl for readability to isolate the handling of the
testing timing measurement.

The official testusb userspace tool can be changed in a separate patch
to reflect the __u32 changes as well. It can use the usbtest_param_32
struct, since 32 bit seconds is long enough for test durations.

This pull request is large with a total of 136 non-merge
commits. Because of its size, we will only describe the big things in
 broad terms.

Many will be happy to know that dwc3 is now almost twice as fast after
some profiling and speed improvements. Also in dwc3, John Youn from
Synopsys added support for their new DWC USB3.1 IP Core and the HAPS
platform which can be used to validate it.

A series of patches from Robert Baldyga cleaned up uses of
ep->driver_data as a flag for "claimed endpoint" in favor of the new
 ep->claimed flag.

Sudip Mukherjee fixed a ton of really old problems on the amd5536udc
driver. That should make a few people happy.

Heikki Krogerus worked on converting dwc3 to the unified device property
 interface.

Together with these, there's a ton of non-critical fixes, typos and

Peter Chen 145f48c518 usb: misc: usbtest: add bulk queue test
The bulk queue tests are used to show 'best performance' for bulk
transfer, we are often asked this question by users. The implementation
is the same with iso test, that is queue request at interrupt completion,
so we reuse the iso structures, and rename them as common one.

It's result should be very close to IC simulation, in order
to get that, the device side should also need to prepare enough
queue.

We have got the 'best performance' (IN: 41MB, OUT: 39MB) at i.mx platform
(USB2, ARM Cortex A9, stream mode need to enable) with below command:

Host side:
modprobe usbtest
./testusb -a -t 27 -g 64 -s 16384
./testusb -a -t 28 -g 64 -s 16384
Gadget side:
modprobe g_zero loopdefault=1 qlen=64 buflen=16384
