Sowjanya Komatineni 9870acd374 pinctrl: tegra: Add suspend and resume support
This patch adds support for Tegra pinctrl driver suspend and resume.

During suspend, context of all pinctrl registers are stored and
on resume they are all restored to have all the pinmux and pad
configuration for normal operation.

Linus Torvalds 43c95d3694 This is the bulk of pin control changes for the v5.3 kernel
cycle:

 Core changes:

 - Device links can optionally be added between a pin control
producer and its consumers. This will affect how the system
power management is handled: a pin controller will not suspend
before all of its consumers have been suspended. This was
necessary for the ST Microelectronics STMFX expander and
need to be tested on other systems as well: it makes sense
to make this default in the long run. Right now it is
   opt-in per driver.

 - Drive strength can be specified in microamps. With decreases
in silicon technology, milliamps isn't granular enough, let's
make it possible to select drive strengths in microamps. Right
now the Meson (AMlogic) driver needs this.

 New drivers:

 - New subdriver for the Tegra 194 SoC.

 - New subdriver for the Qualcomm SDM845.

 - New subdriver for the Qualcomm SM8150.

 - New subdriver for the Freescale i.MX8MN (Freescale is now a
   product line of NXP).

 - New subdriver for Marvell MV98DX1135.

 Driver improvements:

 - The Bitmain BM1880 driver now supports pin config in
   addition to muxing.

 - The Qualcomm drivers can now reserve some GPIOs as taken
aside and not usable for users. This is used in ACPI systems
to take out some GPIO lines used by the BIOS so that
noone else (neither kernel nor userspace) will play with them
by mistake and crash the machine.

 - A slew of refurbishing around the Aspeed drivers (board
management controllers for servers) in preparation for the
   new Aspeed AST2600 SoC.

 - A slew of improvements over the SH PFC drivers as usual.

 - Misc cleanups and fixes.

Thierry Reding cf75b8f2cd pinctrl: tegra: Add bitmask support for parked bits
Some pin groups have park bits for multiple pins in one register.
Support this by turning the parked bit field into a parked bitmask
field. If no parked bits are supported, the bitmask can be 0.

Update the pingroup table on Tegra210, which is the only generation
where this is supported, with the parked bitmask.

Dmitry Osipenko 1e0813ee55 pinctrl: tegra: Move drivers registration to arch_init level
There is a bug in regards to deferred probing within the drivers core
that causes GPIO-driver to suspend after its users. The bug appears if
GPIO-driver probe is getting deferred, which happens after introducing
dependency on PINCTRL-driver for the GPIO-driver by defining "gpio-ranges"
property in device-tree. The bug in the drivers core is old (more than 4
years now) and is well known, unfortunately there is no easy fix for it.
The good news is that we can workaround the deferred probe issue by
changing GPIO / PINCTRL drivers registration order and hence by moving
PINCTRL driver registration to the arch_init level and GPIO to the
subsys_init.

Kees Cook a86854d0c5 treewide: devm_kzalloc() -> devm_kcalloc()
The devm_kzalloc() function has a 2-factor argument form, devm_kcalloc().
This patch replaces cases of:

        devm_kzalloc(handle, a * b, gfp)

with:
        devm_kcalloc(handle, a * b, gfp)

as well as handling cases of:

        devm_kzalloc(handle, a * b * c, gfp)

with:

        devm_kzalloc(handle, array3_size(a, b, c), gfp)

as it's slightly less ugly than:

        devm_kcalloc(handle, array_size(a, b), c, gfp)

This does, however, attempt to ignore constant size factors like:

        devm_kzalloc(handle, 4 * 1024, gfp)

though any constants defined via macros get caught up in the conversion.

Any factors with a sizeof() of "unsigned char", "char", and "u8" were
dropped, since they're redundant.

Some manual whitespace fixes were needed in this patch, as Coccinelle
really liked to write "=devm_kcalloc..." instead of "= devm_kcalloc...".

The Coccinelle script used for this was:

// Fix redundant parens around sizeof().

Greg Kroah-Hartman b24413180f License cleanup: add SPDX GPL-2.0 license identifier to files with no license
Many source files in the tree are missing licensing information, which
makes it harder for compliance tools to determine the correct license.

By default all files without license information are under the default
license of the kernel, which is GPL version 2.

Update the files which contain no license information with the 'GPL-2.0'
SPDX license identifier. The SPDX identifier is a legally binding
shorthand, which can be used instead of the full boiler plate text.

This patch is based on work done by Thomas Gleixner and Kate Stewart and
Philippe Ombredanne.

How this work was done:

Patches were generated and checked against linux-4.14-rc6 for a subset of
the use cases:
 - file had no licensing information it it.
 - file was a */uapi/* one with no licensing information in it,
 - file was a */uapi/* one with existing licensing information,

Further patches will be generated in subsequent months to fix up cases
where non-standard license headers were used, and references to license
had to be inferred by heuristics based on keywords.

The analysis to determine which SPDX License Identifier to be applied to
a file was done in a spreadsheet of side by side results from of the
output of two independent scanners (ScanCode & Windriver) producing SPDX
tag:value files created by Philippe Ombredanne. Philippe prepared the
base worksheet, and did an initial spot review of a few 1000 files.

The 4.13 kernel was the starting point of the analysis with 60,537 files
assessed. Kate Stewart did a file by file comparison of the scanner
results in the spreadsheet to determine which SPDX license identifier(s)
to be applied to the file. She confirmed any determination that was not
immediately clear with lawyers working with the Linux Foundation.

Criteria used to select files for SPDX license identifier tagging was:
 - Files considered eligible had to be source code files.
 - Make and config files were included as candidates if they contained >5
   lines of source
 - File already had some variant of a license header in it (even if <5
   lines).

All documentation files were explicitly excluded.

The following heuristics were used to determine which SPDX license
identifiers to apply.

 - when both scanners couldn't find any license traces, file was
considered to have no license information in it, and the top level
   COPYING file license applied.

For non */uapi/* files that summary was:

   SPDX license identifier # files
   ---------------------------------------------------|-------
   GPL-2.0 11139

and resulted in the first patch in this series.

If that file was a */uapi/* path one, it was "GPL-2.0 WITH
Linux-syscall-note" otherwise it was "GPL-2.0". Results of that was:

   SPDX license identifier # files
   ---------------------------------------------------|-------
   GPL-2.0 WITH Linux-syscall-note 930

and resulted in the second patch in this series.

 - if a file had some form of licensing information in it, and was one
of the */uapi/* ones, it was denoted with the Linux-syscall-note if
any GPL family license was found in the file or had no licensing in
it (per prior point). Results summary:

   SPDX license identifier # files
   ---------------------------------------------------|------
   GPL-2.0 WITH Linux-syscall-note 270
   GPL-2.0+ WITH Linux-syscall-note 169
   ((GPL-2.0 WITH Linux-syscall-note) OR BSD-2-Clause) 21
   ((GPL-2.0 WITH Linux-syscall-note) OR BSD-3-Clause) 17
   LGPL-2.1+ WITH Linux-syscall-note 15
   GPL-1.0+ WITH Linux-syscall-note 14
   ((GPL-2.0+ WITH Linux-syscall-note) OR BSD-3-Clause) 5
   LGPL-2.0+ WITH Linux-syscall-note 4
   LGPL-2.1 WITH Linux-syscall-note 3
   ((GPL-2.0 WITH Linux-syscall-note) OR MIT) 3
   ((GPL-2.0 WITH Linux-syscall-note) AND MIT) 1

and that resulted in the third patch in this series.

 - when the two scanners agreed on the detected license(s), that became
   the concluded license(s).

 - when there was disagreement between the two scanners (one detected a
license but the other didn't, or they both detected different
licenses) a manual inspection of the file occurred.

 - In most cases a manual inspection of the information in the file
resulted in a clear resolution of the license that should apply (and
which scanner probably needed to revisit its heuristics).

 - When it was not immediately clear, the license identifier was
confirmed with lawyers working with the Linux Foundation.

 - If there was any question as to the appropriate license identifier,
the file was flagged for further research and to be revisited later
   in time.

In total, over 70 hours of logged manual review was done on the
spreadsheet to determine the SPDX license identifiers to apply to the
source files by Kate, Philippe, Thomas and, in some cases, confirmation
by lawyers working with the Linux Foundation.

Kate also obtained a third independent scan of the 4.13 code base from
FOSSology, and compared selected files where the other two scanners
disagreed against that SPDX file, to see if there was new insights. The
Windriver scanner is based on an older version of FOSSology in part, so
they are related.

Thomas did random spot checks in about 500 files from the spreadsheets
for the uapi headers and agreed with SPDX license identifier in the
files he inspected. For the non-uapi files Thomas did random spot checks
in about 15000 files.

In initial set of patches against 4.14-rc6, 3 files were found to have
copy/paste license identifier errors, and have been fixed to reflect the
correct identifier.

Additionally Philippe spent 10 hours this week doing a detailed manual
inspection and review of the 12,461 patched files from the initial patch
version early this week with:
 - a full scancode scan run, collecting the matched texts, detected
   license ids and scores
 - reviewing anything where there was a license detected (about 500+
files) to ensure that the applied SPDX license was correct
 - reviewing anything where there was no detection but the patch license
was not GPL-2.0 WITH Linux-syscall-note to ensure that the applied
   SPDX license was correct

This produced a worksheet with 20 files needing minor correction. This
worksheet was then exported into 3 different .csv files for the
different types of files to be modified.

These .csv files were then reviewed by Greg. Thomas wrote a script to
parse the csv files and add the proper SPDX tag to the file, in the
format that the file expected. This script was further refined by Greg
based on the output to detect more types of files automatically and to
distinguish between header and source .c files (which need different
comment types.) Finally Greg ran the script using the .csv files to
generate the patches.

Paul Gortmaker e3d2160f12 pinctrl: tegra: clean up modular vs. non-modular distinctions
None of the Kconfigs for any of these drivers are tristate,
meaning that they currently are not being built as a module by anyone.

Lets remove the modular code that is essentially orphaned, so that
when reading the drivers there is no doubt they are builtin-only. All
drivers get similar changes, so they are handled in batch.

We remove module.h from code that isn't doing anything modular at
all; if they have __init sections, then replace it with init.h.

A couple drivers have module_exit() code that is essentially orphaned,
and so we remove that.

Quite a few bool drivers (hence non-modular) are converted over to
to builtin_platform_driver().

Since module_platform_driver() uses the same init level priority as
builtin_platform_driver() the init ordering remains unchanged with
this commit.

Also note that MODULE_DEVICE_TABLE is a no-op for non-modular code.

We also delete the MODULE_LICENSE tag etc. since all that information
was (or is now) contained at the top of the file in the comments.

Thierry Reding 02101cb3f5 pinctrl: tegra: xusb: Silence sparse warnings
Commit 53d2a715c2 ("phy: Add Tegra XUSB pad controller support") added
a new driver for the XUSB pad controller that implements a more flexible
devicetree binding. In order to preserve backwards compatibility the old
driver can be probed if the obsolete bindings are detected.

In order to hide the legacy code, these prototypes were defined in a
header private to the new driver. This has the disadvantage of making
the sparse code checker complain about the missing declarations when
compiling the old driver and suggesting to make the functions static.

Avoid these sparse warnings by adding local prototype declarations into
the compatibility driver.

Laxman Dewangan 1d18a3f0f0 pinctrl: tegra: avoid parked_reg and parked_bank
NVIDIA's Tegra210 support the park bit to make pinmux configuration
enable/disable. If parked bit is 1 then configuration does not apply
and if it is 0 then pinmux configuration applies. This is to support
to avoid any glitch in pinmux configurations.

The parked bit is part of mux register and mux bank and hence it is
not required to have member for the parked_reg and parked bank very
similar to other bit field of the same register.

Remove the need of the parked register and parked bank and get whether
parked function supported or not by parked_bit.

This is to make the parked bit handling same as other fields of mux
registers.

Laxman Dewangan b22ef2a097 pinctrl: tegra: Correctly check the supported configuration
The pincontrol registers of Tegra chips has multiple filed per
registers. There is two type of registers mux and drive. All
configurations belongs to one of these registers.

If any configurations are supported then <config>_bit is set to
bit position of these registers otherwise -1 to not support it.
The member is defined as
	s32 <config>_bit:6;

So if config is not supported ifor given SoC then it is set to -1
in soc pinmmux table.
In common driver code, to find out that given config is supported
or not, it is checked as:

s8 bit = <config>_bit;
if (bit > 31) {
	/* Not supported config */
}

But in this case, bit is s8 and hence for non supporting it is -1.

Correct the check as:
if (bit < 0) {
	/* Not supported config */
}

Rhyland Klein 26e6aaafc8 pinctrl: tegra: clear park bit for all pins
Parking bits might not be cleared by the bootloader properly (if for
instance it doesn't use the device configured by that pin). Clear
the park bits for all the pins during pinctrl probe.

This is present on T210 platforms but not earlier ones, so for earlier
generations, set parked_reg = -1 to disable.

The park bit is used to prevent glitching when reprogramming pinctrl
registers.

Irina Tirdea d32f7fd3bb pinctrl: Rename pinctrl_utils_dt_free_map to pinctrl_utils_free_map
Rename pinctrl_utils_dt_free_map to pinctrl_utils_free_map, since
it does not depend on device tree despite the current name. This
will enforce a consistent naming in pinctr-utils.c and will make
it clear it can be called from outside device tree (e.g. from
ACPI handling code).

Masahiro Yamada 25cbac7716 pinctrl: tegra: move Tegra pinctrl drivers to sub-directory
Tegra has several pinctrl drivers. Now it is reasonable enough to
move them into drivers/pinctrl/tegra/.
