Noralf Trønnes 59defa7cb6 drm/etnaviv: Remove etnaviv_debugfs_cleanup()
drm_debugfs_cleanup() now removes all minor->debugfs_list entries
automatically, so the drm_driver.debugfs_cleanup callback is not
needed.

Dave Airlie 3806a271bf Merge tag 'drm-misc-next-2016-12-30' of git://anongit.freedesktop.org/git/drm-misc into drm-next
First -misc pull for 4.11:
- drm_mm rework + lots of selftests (Chris Wilson)
- new connector_list locking+iterators
- plenty of kerneldoc updates
- format handling rework from Ville
- atomic helper changes from Maarten for better plane corner-case handling
in drivers, plus the i915 legacy cursor patch that needs this
- bridge cleanup from Laurent
- plus plenty of small stuff all over
- also contains a merge of the 4.10 docs tree so that we could apply the
  dma-buf kerneldoc patches

It's a lot more than usual, but due to the merge window blackout it also
covers about 4 weeks, so all in line again on a per-week basis. The more
annoying part with no pull request for 4 weeks is managing cross-tree
work. The -intel pull request I'll follow up with does conflict quite a
bit with -misc here. Longer-term (if drm-misc keeps growing) a
drm-next-queued to accept pull request for the next merge window during
this time might be useful.

I'd also like to backmerge -rc2+this into drm-intel next week, we have
quite a pile of patches waiting for the stuff in here.

Daniel Vetter b5c3714fe8 drm/mm: Convert to drm_printer
Including all drivers. I thought about keeping small compat functions
to avoid having to change all drivers. But I really like the

- Natural argument order and better name for drm_mm_print.
- show_mm() macro in the selftest.

Lorenzo Stoakes 5b56d49fc3 mm: add locked parameter to get_user_pages_remote()
Patch series "mm: unexport __get_user_pages_unlocked()".

This patch series continues the cleanup of get_user_pages*() functions
taking advantage of the fact we can now pass gup_flags as we please.

It firstly adds an additional 'locked' parameter to
get_user_pages_remote() to allow for its callers to utilise
VM_FAULT_RETRY functionality. This is necessary as the invocation of
__get_user_pages_unlocked() in process_vm_rw_single_vec() makes use of
this and no other existing higher level function would allow it to do
so.

Secondly existing callers of __get_user_pages_unlocked() are replaced
with the appropriate higher-level replacement -
get_user_pages_unlocked() if the current task and memory descriptor are
referenced, or get_user_pages_remote() if other task/memory descriptors
are referenced (having acquiring mmap_sem.)

This patch (of 2):

Add a int *locked parameter to get_user_pages_remote() to allow
VM_FAULT_RETRY faulting behaviour similar to get_user_pages_[un]locked().

Taking into account the previous adjustments to get_user_pages*()
functions allowing for the passing of gup_flags, we are now in a
position where __get_user_pages_unlocked() need only be exported for his
ability to allow VM_FAULT_RETRY behaviour, this adjustment allows us to
subsequently unexport __get_user_pages_unlocked() as well as allowing
for future flexibility in the use of get_user_pages_remote().

Lucas Stach 1db0127904 drm/etnaviv: move linear window on MC1.0 parts if necessary
On i.MX6SX the physical memory is placed above the 2GB mark, so the GPU
linear window has to be moved for the GPU to work at all. This doesn't
mix with the FAST_CLEAR feature, as the TS unit doesn't take the linear
window offset into account and will corrupt memory when used with a
non-zero offset.

Move the linear window if it's necessary for the GPU to work, but avoid
announcing FAST_CLEAR support to userspace in this case.

Wladimir J. van der Laan 557800532e drm/etnaviv: Allow DRAW_INSTANCED commands

The information that has been figured out about the command can be found

This command is not allowed currently by the DRM driver because it
was not known before. This patch enables parsing it in command

Chris Wilson f54d186700 dma-buf: Rename struct fence to dma_fence
I plan to usurp the short name of struct fence for a core kernel struct,
and so I need to rename the specialised fence/timeline for DMA
operations to make room.

A consensus was reached in
https://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/dri-devel/2016-July/113083.html
that making clear this fence applies to DMA operations was a good thing.
Since then the patch has grown a bit as usage increases, so hopefully it
remains a good thing!

Lucas Stach 8814d2dce0 drm/etnaviv: block 64K of address space behind each cmdstream
To make sure we don't place anything there which might confuse
the FE prefetcher. This gets rid of another case of FE MMU faults
when the address space gets crowded before triggering the reaper.

Lucas Stach 8c136b590f drm/etnaviv: ensure write caches are flushed at end of user cmdstream
If the GPU is done with one user command stream the buffers referenced
by this command stream may go away and get unmapped from the MMU. If
the write caches are still dirty at this point later evictions will run
into MMU faults, killing the GPU.

Make sure the write caches are flushed before signaling completion
of the user command stream.

Dave Airlie 81c5d6aa39 Merge branch 'drm-etnaviv-next' of git://git.pengutronix.de/git/lst/linux into drm-next
Notable changes:

- Cleanups from Fabio to some error paths and proper error propagation.

- Lots of refactoring and new code to support the new MMU version 2,
still relatively unoptimized and doesn't yet provide better process
isolation than MMUv1, but enough to get newer cores up and running.

- New hardware support: GC3000, as found on the NXP i.MX6 QuadPlus SoC.

Lucas Stach 7c971c62dd drm/etnaviv: space out IOVA layout for cmdbufs on MMUv2
At least on the GC3000 the FE MMU is not properly flushing stale TLB
entries. Make sure to map the cmdbufs with a big enough spacing in
the IOVAs to not hit old/prefetched TLB entries when jumping to a
newly mapped cmdbuf.

Lucas Stach 2e145a2248 drm/etnaviv: add flushing logic for MMUv2
Flushing works differently on MMUv2, in that it's only necessary
to set a single bit in the control register to flush all translation

properly.

Lucas Stach de08e8ef71 drm/etnaviv: add function to construct MMUv2 init buffer
Both the safe/scratch address and the master TLB address are per pipe
with the CPU mapped registers not properly propagating to the
different translation units.

a command stream snipped executed by the FE, before any other execution
can start.
