Previously, java snapshot properties (java_library and java_test)
relied on the properties not being optimized when there was a single os
type and instead being added directly to the common os type properties.
However, that means that the behavior is inconsistent for other member
types depending on whether there was one os type or not.
This change updates the java sdk member handling to support
optimization. This involved:
1) Adding AidlIncludeDirs field to librarySdkMemberProperties to
specify the aidl include dirs instead of extracting that from the
library field.
2) Renaming jarToExport to JarToExport (in both
library/testSdkMemberProperties)to allow it to be optimized.
3) Adding MemberType() and Name() methods to SdkMemberPropertiesContext
to avoid having to store the former in the properties struct and
retrieve the latter from the library/test fields.
4) Removing the now unused library/test fields from the properties
structures.
5) Separating the processing of the jar/test config in
AddToPropertySet(...) as they may be optimized separately.
6) Ditto for the jar/aidl include dirs.
7) While doing this work I noticed that although the contents of the
aidl include dirs are copied into the snapshot the java_import does
not make use of them. Raised bug 151933053 and added TODO to track
that work.

Previously passing additional information to the implementations of
AddPrebuiltModule() or the SdkMemberProperties interface would have
required making changes to the API. This change added an
SdkMemberContext object into which additional information can easily
be added without requiring changes to existing implementations.
The BuildSnapshot() method was not modified because it is deprecated
and will be removed in a follow up change.
It also switches the API from passing variants as android.SdkAware to
android.Module. That is for a couple of reasons:
1) SdkAware is designed for managing the relationship between the
module and the SDK, not for generating the output snapshot. As such
there is nothing in SdkAware that is needed for generating the
output snapshot.
2) Accepting android.Module instead makes it easier to use the
underlying code for generating the snapshot module as well as the
individual member modules.
This is in preparation for a number of improvements and bug fixes in
both the snapshot creation code and implementations to address found
while trying to built the platform against ART prebuilts.

This reworks CL https://r.android.com/1180134 as follows:
1) Do not reorder the list of system server jars passed from Make to
Soong via the product variable PRODUCT_SYSTEM_SERVER_JARS. This means
that for some products the order of jars on the system server
classpath may be non-optimal: a jar X that depends on Y may be
dexpreopted before Y, so that all references to the classes and
methods from Y wil be unresolved.
Unfortunately for such products, fixing the order is not a simple
matter of rearranging their PRODUCT_SYSTEM_SERVER_JARS, because the
conflicts may arise when the product-specific variable gets merged
with the common variable.
2) As a consequence of 1), do not add artificial dependencies between
system server jars: this is now impossible, as it would create
circular dependencies for those products that have non-optimal order
of jars.
3) Copy dex files for system server jars to a predefined build location.
This is necessary because at the time when Soong generates class
loader context for k-th jar, it needs to know the paths to jars 1 ..
(k-1), and it might have not processed those jars yet (so Soong can't
query the paths from the modules).
This approach is similar to the way Soong handles bootclasspath jars.
4) Do not exclude from dexpreopting system server jars that are not
Soong modules (those that are Make modules). The previous CL excluded
them because Make modules do not have ModuleContext. But it turns out
that ModuleContext is not necessary, as all the information is passed
via the dexpreopt config.

Checking apex_available was missing some corner cases.
For example, the deps of share deps of cc_library modules are missed
while those from cc_library_shared are correctly tracked.
This was due to..
* calling DepIsInSameApex in WalkDeps: both work fine separately, but
when they are used together, it fails to work. It's due to how WalkDeps
works. (We might fix this bug too risky since it is used very widely)
* incorrect receiver for DepIsInSameApex in apex_deps mutator: receiver
is supposed to be parent, but child was used before. Interestingly lots
of deps are within the same group of module types(cc to cc, java to
java), it has worked. (note that receiver's DepIsInSameApex
implementation can be different).
This change fixes them by..
* walkPayloadDeps is now relying on ApexVariation, which is calculated
correctly by TopDown apex_deps mutator.
* use correct receiver for DepIsInSameApex in apex_deps mutator, which
requires for java.SdkLibrary to override the method and for
java.Library/Import to use passed dep instead of receiver to check its
membership of sdk.

Updates the member snapshot creation code to support multiple os types.
It basically sorts the variants by os type, then applies the code to
optimize the arch properties and then it optimizes the properties that
are common across architectures and extracts any properties that are
common across os types.
The java and cc member types needed to be modified to make the location
of the generated files within the snapshot os type dependent when there
is more than one os type. That was done by adding an OsPrefix() method
to the SdkMemberPropertiesBase which returns the os prefix to use when
there is > 1 os type and otherwise returns an empty string.
Added three tests, one for cc shared libraries, one for cc binary and
one for java header libraries.

That enabled:
* The removal of the [header/impl]LibrarySdkMemberType structs.
* The removal of their implementations of BuildSnapshot.
* Replacing buildSnapshot() with BuildSnapshot()
This will make subsequent refactoring of the SdkMemberType interface

binary module.
This uses the Once cache for GlobalSoongConfig to propagate the dex2oat
path from a module dependency to the singletons (both the one that
writes out dexpreopt_soong.config and the one that creates the
dexpreopted boot images). Unless dexpreopting is disabled altogether
through DisablePreopt in dexpreopt.config, that means:
- We must ensure at least one module registers a dex2oat tool
dependency and resolves a GlobalSoongConfig using it, or else the
singletons fail. That means we litter dex2oat dependencies in java
modules even when they won't get dexpreopted and hence don't really
need them.
- We still assume there's at least one java_library or android_app in
the build.

This patch excludes non-Soong system server jars from dexpreopting.
System server jars should be dexpreopted together for better
performance: each jar should have all preceding system server jars
in its class loader context (that is passed to dex2oat and recorded
in the resulting .oat file to be used by the loader).
This means that we need a total order on system server jars. The
default order provided by PRODUCT_SYSTEM_SERVER_JARS is not good, as
it does not always respect genuine dependencies between jars (counter-
examples are rare, but non-trivial to fix: b/148219586).
This patch adds a post deps mutator pass that creates additional
dependencies and enforces global order. These are later used to
generate precise class loader contexts and system server classpath.

This change fixes a bug that apex_available is not enforced for static
dependencies. For example, a module with 'apex_available:
["//apex_available:platform"]' was able to be statically linked to any
APEX. This was happening because the check was done on the modules that
are actually installed to an APEX. Static dependencies of the modules
were not counted as they are not installed to the APEX as files.
Fixing this bug by doing the check by traversing the tree in the method
checkApexAvailability.
This change includes a few number of related changes:
1) DepIsInSameApex implementation for cc.Module was changed as well.
Previuosly, it returned false only when the dependency is actually a
stub variant of a lib. Now, it returns false when the dependency has one
or more stub variants. To understand why, we need to recall that when
there is a dependency to a lib having stubs, we actually create two
dependencies: to the non-stub variant and to the stub variant during the
DepsMutator phase. And later in the build action generation phase, we
choose one of them depending on the context. Also recall that an APEX
variant is created only when DepIsInSameApex returns true. Given these,
with the previous implementatin of DepIsInSameApex, we did create apex
variants of the non-stub variant of the dependency, while not creating
the apex variant for the stub variant. This is not right; we needlessly
created the apex variant. The extra apex variant has caused no harm so
far, but since the apex_available check became more correct, it actually
breaks the build. To fix the issue, we stop creating the APEX variant
both for non-stub and stub variants.
2) platform variant is created regardless of the apex_available value.
This is required for the case when a library X that provides stub is in
an APEX A and is configured to be available only for A. In that case,
libs in other APEX can't use the stub library since the stub library is
mutated only for apex A. By creating the platform variant for the stub
library, it can be used from outside as the default dependency variation
is set to the platform variant when creating the APEX variations.
3) The ApexAvailableWhitelist is added with the dependencies that were
revealed with this change.

The value format that sdk_version (and min_sdk_version, etc.) can have
has consistently evolved and is quite complicated. Furthermore, with the
Mainline module effort, we are expected to have more sdk_versions like
'module-app-current', 'module-lib-current', etc.
The goal of this change is to abstract the various sdk versions, which
are currently represented in string and is parsed in various places,
into a type called sdkSpec, so that adding new sdk veresions becomes
easier than before.
The sdk_version string is now parsed in only one place 'SdkSpecFrom', in
which it is converted into the sdkSpec struct. The struct type provides
several methods that again converts sdkSpec into context-specific
information such as the effective version number, etc.

That means we litter dex2oat dependencies in java
modules even when they won't get dexpreopted and hence don't really
need them.
- We still assume there's at least one java_library or android_app in
the build.

Framework libraries need special handling in static coverage builds:
they should not have static dependency on jacoco, otherwise there
would be multiple conflicting definitions of the same jacoco classes
coming from different bootclasspath jars.
This CL does two things:
- Move the code that enables instrumentation of framework libraries
from AndroidGenerateBuildActions phase to the earlier DepsMutator
phase. This is necessary because DepsMutator phase already does some
things that depend on the instrumentation flag.
- Explicitely exclude framework libraries from those libraries
which have static dependency on jacoco.
This CL does not fix any apparent build problems: prior to it the
framework libraries were not excluded properly, but this was masked by
wrong order of checking / setting instrumentation flag.

We need to have a way to see the list of modules that directly or
indirectly contribute to an APEX. People find it difficult to determine
whether a module is included in which APEXes because APEX tracks
indirect dependencies as well as direct dependencies. Therefore, just
looking at Android.bp for the APEX itself doesn't give the answer.
This change adds a new make target <apex_name>-deps-info, which
generates out/soong/<apex_name>-deps-info.txt file that shows the
internal and external dependencies of the said APEX.
Here, internal means the dependencies are actually part of the
APEX, while external means the dependencies are still external to the
APEX.

The registration of module types and singletons is duplicated between
init() functions that register them for use in the build runtime and
test context creation code that registers them for testing.
This is a proof of concept for a mechanism that will allow the code
to be shared. It defines a RegistrationContext interface that is
implemented by both the TestContext and the new initRegistrationContext
type. An instance of the the latter is available through the
InitRegistrationContext variable.
The intent is that the registration of the module types and singleton
types will be extracted from the init() function into a separate
function that takes a RegistrationContext parameter. That method is
called from init() passing in the InitRegistrationContext and from a
test passing in the TestContext. Something like this:
func init() {
RegisterBuildComponents(android.InitRegistrationContext)
}
func RegisterBuildComponents(ctx android.RegistrationContext) {
ctx.RegisterModuleType(....)
....
}
A test would do something like this:
ctx := android.NewTestContext()
RegisterBuildComponents(ctx)

Previously, android_app targets for which a.shouldEmbedJnis(ctx) = true
(e.g. CtsSelinuxTargetSdk25TestCases) would need to specify all of their
recursive library dependencies, including for example libc++ when depending
on the platform libc++. This means unnecessary churn when we add a new
dependency to libc++ (e.g. libunwind [1]). To avoid the churn and allow
jni_libs clauses to be simplified, make the build system search for the
recursive dependencies and automatically include them.
This change allows us to remove code that was previously adding NDK libc++
as a special case, as it is now covered by the generic code.
Also fix some improper quoting that was exposed as a result of this change
causing more files to be packaged than before.

Previously, adding a new SdkMemberType would require adding a new
sdkMemberListProperty instance to the sdkMemberListProperties as well
as adding a new property into the sdkProperties struct. They are
potential sources of conflict and couple the sdk code with all the
packages that add members to it. This change switched to a
registration model that allows each package to register its sdk
member types decoupling them from the sdk code.
Adds an SdkPropertyName() method to SdkMemberType that specifies the
name of the property to use in the sdk/sdk_snapshot. Also provides
an SdkMemberTypeBase struct to be used by providers of SdkMemberType
implementations.
SdkMemberType instances are registered using the
RegisterSdkMemberType() func which sorts the registered instances
by their SdkPropertyName() to ensure the behavior is consistent and
not affected by order of registration.
When creating a new sdk module a dynamicSdkMemberTypes instance is
created that contains the following:
* A properties struct is created dynamically that contains a field for
each registered SdkMemberType, corresponding to that type's
SdkPropertyName().
* A list of sdkMemberListProperty instances is also created, one for
each registered SdkMemberType.
The dynamicSdkMemberTypes instance is cached using a key that uniquely
identifies the set of registered types just in case new types are
registered after one has been created, e.g. by tests.

This function took a props varargs parameter but it was only ever
called with no parameters. The props parameter meant it could not be
used directly with RegisterModuleType() so the defaultsFactory() func
was added which simply called through to DefaultsFactory().
Removing the props varargs parameter allowed it to be used directly
with RegisterModuleType() and so the defaultsFactory() could be
removed.
This was needed because a follow up change adds a test in another
package that uses java_defaults and so it needs the factory method
(defaultsFactory()) to be exported.

Extracts the type specific functionality into the SdkMemberType
interface which has to be implemented by each module type that can
be added as a member of the sdk. It provides functionality to add
the required dependencies for the module type, check to see if a
resolved module is the correct instance and build the snapshot.
The latter was previously part of SdkAware but was moved because
it has to be able to process multiple SdkAware variants so delegating
it to a single instance did not make sense.
The custom code for handling each member type specific property,
e.g. java_libs, has been replaced with common code that processes
a list of sdkMemberListProperty struct which associates the
property (name and getter) with the SdkMemberType and a special
DependencyTag which is passed to the SdkMemberType when it has to add
dependencies.
The DependencyTag contains a reference to the appropriate
sdkMemberListProperty which allows the resolved dependencies to be
grouped by type.
Previously, the dependency collection methods would ignore a module if
it was an unsupported type because they did not have a way of
determining which property it was initially listed in. That meant it
was possible to add say a droidstubs module to the java_libs property
(and because they had the same variants) it would work as if it was
added to the stubs_sources property. Or alternatively, a module of an
unsupported type could be added to any property and it would just be
ignored.
However, the DependencyTag provides information about which property
a resolved module was referenced in and so it can detect when the
resolved module is of the wrong type and report an error. That check
identified a bug in one of the tests where the sdk referenced a
java_import module (which is not allowed in an sdk) instead of a
java_library module (which is allowed). That test was fixed as part
of this.
A list of sdkMemberListProperty structs defines the member properties
supported by the sdk and are processed in order to ensure consistent
behaviour.
The resolved dependencies are grouped by type and each group is then
processed in defined order. Within each type dependencies are grouped
by name and encapsulated behind an SdkMember interface which includes
the name and the list of variants.
The Droidstubs and java.Library types can only support one variant and
will fail if given more.
The processing for the native_shared_libs property has been moved into
the cc/library.go file so the sdk package code should now have no type
specific information in it apart from what is if the list of
sdkMemberListProperty structs.

Having each module type generate the contents of the snapshot's .bp
file results in lots of duplicated code. This adds an intermediate
model for use by the module types and then generates the .bp file
contents from that.
This not only removes the duplicated formatting code but it also
allows consistent handling of shared properties such as name further
reducing duplication. It also makes it possible to duplicate the
versioned and unversioned prebuilt modules from the same model.

avoids droidstubs having to duplicate the libraries that make up the

This change introduces a new module type named 'sdk'. It is a logical
group of prebuilt modules that together provide a context (e.g. APIs)
in which Mainline modules (such as APEXes) are built.
A prebuilt module (e.g. java_import) can join an sdk by adding it to the
sdk module as shown below:
sdk {
name: "mysdk#20",
java_libs: ["myjavalib_mysdk_20"],
}
java_import {
name: "myjavalib_mysdk_20",
srcs: ["myjavalib-v20.jar"],
sdk_member_name: "myjavalib",
}
sdk {
name: "mysdk#21",
java_libs: ["myjavalib_mysdk_21"],
}
java_import {
name: "myjavalib_mysdk_21",
srcs: ["myjavalib-v21.jar"],
sdk_member_name: "myjavalib",
}
java_library {
name: "myjavalib",
srcs: ["**/*/*.java"],
}
An APEX can specify the SDK(s) that it wants to build with via the new
'uses_sdks' property.
apex {
name: "myapex",
java_libs: ["libX", "libY"],
uses_sdks: ["mysdk#20"],
}
With this, libX, libY, and their transitive dependencies are all built
with the version 20 of myjavalib (the first java_import module) instead
of the other one (which is for version 21) and java_library having the
same name (which is for ToT).

* changes:
Remove srcs_lib and srcs_lib_whitelist_pkgs
Remove the automatic dependency to framework-res.apk for R/Manifest
Prepare to be able to put framework-res in srcs
There are two parts to this change.
Normalization: If a module specifies 'java_version: "9"', this is now
normalized into 'java_version: "1.9"'. Users might reasonably assume
that "9" should be valid, since javac treats them as synonyms (and, in
fact, the javac documentation lists "9" as a valid value but doesn't
mention "1.9"). However, the soong code that triggers JPMS support
(i.e. setting -system rather than --boot-class-path) looks for the
string "1.9", so prior to this change modules specifying "9" would
fail with a confusing error ('javac: option --boot-class-path not
allowed with target 1.9'). Normalizing "9" to "1.9" fixes this. (The
change normalizes the other supported values, too, for consistency.)
Validation: This change also makes the build fail-fast with a clear
error message for invalid values. In particular, modules specifying
"10" or "11" fail with an explicit message that this is not supported,
in anticipation of the switch to OpenJDK 11. Prior to this change,
modules setting those values would get the confusing
'--boot-class-path not allowed' error described about since JPMS
support would not be triggered. (That could be fixed by changing the
JPMS logic to trigger on "10" and "11", but that would be dangerous
since support in the rest of the system for v54 and v55 class files is
unproven: it is better to fail explicitly.) (This change also makes it
fail-fast for any unrecognized values.)
Test: make java
Test: make targets with java_version set to "1.8", "8", "1.9", and "9", all succeed ("9" fails without this change)
Test: make targets with java_version set to "10" and "11", fail with the explicit "not supported" message
Test: make target with java_version set to "xxx", fails fast with the "unrecognized" message

sysprop_library now checks the API stability itself, cutting dependency

signatures.
When sysprop_library is built, or a user run "m {module_name}-check-api"

same signature with built sysprop_library module. Second, current.txt
must be compatible with latest.txt.

Use Kythe (https://kythe.io) to build cross reference for the Android
source code. ~generate the input for it during the build. This is done
on demand: if XREF_CORPUS environment variable is set, build emits a
Ninja rule to generate Kythe input for each compilation rule. It
also emits two consolidation rules (`xref_cxx` and `xref_java`),
that depend on all Kythe input generation rules for C++ and Java.
The value of the XREF_CORPUS environment variable is recorded in the
generated files and thus passed to Kythe. For the AOSP master branch it is
`android.googlesource.com/platform/superproject`, so the command to build
all input for Kythe on that branch is:
```
XREF_CORPUS=android.googlesource.com/platform/superproject m xref_cxx xref_java
```
Each Kythe input generation rule generates a single file with .kzip
extension. Individual .kzip files have a lot of common information, so
there will be a post-build consolidation step run to combine them.
The consolidated .kzip file is then passed to Kythe backend.
The tools to generate .kzip files are provided by Kythe (it calls them
'extractors'). We are going to build them in toolbuilding branches
(clang-tools and build-tools) and check them in as binaries into master
and other PDK branches:
For C++, `prebuilts/clang-tools/linux-x86/bin/cxx_extractor`
for Java, `prebuilts/build-tools/common/framework/javac_extractor.jar`

Change-Id: I5f0fd3daa980f6b223abe454cba7f25a97a39d7a
Previously, different parts of the build used different sources of
information about the SDK (i.e. the default libraries) against which
a Java module aimed at the device was built. Some used the sdk_version
property, others used the no_standard_libs or no_framework_libs, some
used a combination of all three.
That lead to inconsistent handling in the code, e.g. some parts treated
no_standard_libs: true as implying no_framework_libs: true and others
did not, and also in the build files, e.g. some modules specified
no_framework_libs: true and sdk_version: "system_current" which makes
no sense, or no_standard_libs: true and sdk_version: "core_current"
which are inconsistent.
This is the first step in a refactoring to simplify the sdk selection
process by replacing the no_standard_libs/no_framework_libs properties
with some extra options for the sdk_version property. This change
consists of:
1) Extra functions sdkContext to access the no_standard_libs and
no_framework_libs properties.
2) Extra field/functions in sdkDep to store and access the value of
no_standard_libs/no_framework_libs.
3) Changes to decodeSdkDep(...) to pass the values of the no_...
properties through to the returned sdkDep.
4) Change all code that accesses the no_... properties directly to
call decodeSdkDep(...) to get an sdkDep object and then accessing
the values of the no_... properties from there.
The accessor functions on sdkDep are called has...() rather than
no...() as most callers of the methods invert the value anyway and
!no...() is harder to reason about than has...().
The hasFrameworkLibs() function returns true if and only if
no_standard_libs and no_framework_libs are false. That is consistent
with all but one usage of the no_framework_libs property and that is
not affected by it.

puts metadata in META-INF that is used to map the package to

When TARGET_FLATTEN_APEX is set to true, APEXes are flattened, which
means files in an APEX is not packaged into the mini file system image,
but instead directly copied to the system partition.
This option is for devices where kernel does not support loopback

the threshold is TBD as of now).

Add a new sdk_version "core_platform_current"
value to java_library.
This adds the ability to compile system code against the
core platform API stubs. These stubs will contain the public SDK
API _and_ a selection of extra methods just intended
for use by system code (e.g. framework .jar) and
which must be preserved if "core" is modularized to
retain source and binary compatibility. Methods
outside of the core platform API must not be relied upon.
Future changes will adding methods to the core platform API and

Some logic in java.go was conditional on TargetOpenJDK9(), which in
turn relies on a global build flag (EXPERIMENTAL_USE_OPENJDK9=true).
This CL changes the logic in collectBuilderFlags() to check for
javaVersion greater or equal "1.9" instead, which is true when either
EXPERIMENTAL_USE_OPENJDK9=true (global) or javaVersion "1.9" (a
per-build target attribute).
Because the value of flags.javaVersion isn't available there,
TargetOpenJDK9()-dependent logic in Module.deps() was changed to
be unconditional; as far as I understand, this means that system
modules deps will be built regardless of whether they're needed
later in the build. This will probably slow down the build
unnecessarily until the first user of these system modules appears
(expected soon), but probably not by much.
There is some TargetOpenJDK9() related logic remaining in droiddoc.go,
but this doesn't seem to break the build of Java 9 language sources
and is probably no longer needed now that metalava is used for
generating the stubs (thanks to Nan!), and those do not contain any
Java 9 language features.

Very few java libraries need to be installed, most are statically
included in other modules. Device modules that are not installed
also don't need to be dexed, saving checkbuild time. Change the
default for java_library to not be installed, and allow libraries
that should be installed to specify installed: true. This makes
java_libary and java_library_static identical. It also simplifies
some corner cases when converting from Make to Soong if a module
is built for the host (which doesn't differentiate between static
and non-static/installable) and statically for the device, which
couldn't be represented in a single java_library in soong.

java_sdk_library is to make a Java library that implements optional
SDK APIs to apps. It is actually a wrapper for several modules: 1) stubs
library that clients are linked against to, 2) droiddoc module that
internally generates API stubs source files, 3) the real runtime shared
library that implements the API, and 4) XML file for adding the runtime
lib to the classpath at runtime if requested via <uses-library>.
Note: this is only the initial CL for the feature. Followings are features
currently missing and under development.
1) check for API consistency
2) install stubs libs as the dist artifacts
3) ensuring that apps have appropriate <uses-library> tag
4) disallowing linking to the runtime shared lib
5) HTML generation

The AIDL code generator can now include trace code in every generated
AIDL call. We don't want to enable this by default for all interfaces
for two reasons:
1) Potential performance overhead
2) For Java targets, the code depends on @hide APIs in android.os.Trace,
and I haven't found a clean way to determine whether a target is
allowed to use @hide stuff in the SDK. LOCAL_PRIVATE_PLATFORM_APIS

exactly one of the things we'd like to trace).

PLATFORM_SYSTEMSDK_VERSIONS is the list of System SDK versions that the
platform is supporting. Contrary to the public SDK where platform
essentially supports all previous SDK versions, platform support only a
few recent System SDK versions, since some of old System APIs are
gradually deprecated, removed from the following SDKs and then finally
deleted from the platform. This will be part of the framework manifest.
The list can be specified by setting PLATFORM_SYSTEMSDK_MIN_VERSION. If
it is set to an old version number, then System SDKs from the version
to the current version (PLATFORM_SDK_VERSION) are considered to be
supported by the platform. If PLATFORM_SYSTEMSDK_MIN_VERSION is not set,
only the latest System SDK version is supported.
Next, BOARD_SYSTEMSDK_VERSIONS is the list of System SDK versions that
the device is using. This is put to the device compatibility matrix
device is using. The device and the platform is considered as compatible
only BOARD_SYSTEMSDK_VERSIONS in the device compatibility matrix are
in the PLATFORM_SYSTEMSDK_VERSIONS in the framework manifest.
When BOARD_SYSTEMSDK_VERSIONS is set, a Java app or library in vendor or
odm partitions which didn't specify LOCAL_SDK_VERSION is forced to use
System SDK. Also, the build system does the additional integrity check
to ensure that LOCAL_SDK_VERSION is within BOARD_SYSTEMSDK_VERSIONS or
PLATFORM_SYSTEMSDK_VERSIONS (if BOARD_SYSTEMSDK_VERSIONS isn't set).

Add a common_first multilib type and use it for java.Binary
so that the java part is compiled as a "common" arch type
but the wrapper script is installed as a "linux_glibc" arch
type. This allows java_binary to be used as a tool dependency
for a genrule.

Add support for instrumenting jars with jacoco. Unlike in Make,
Jacoco in Soong is done entirely using jars.

any java libraries listed in InstrumentFrameworkModules.

This is done by implementing the HostToolPath interface for java
Binary objects.
Currently, in order for a java_binary_host to be used in this way the
java_host_binary must include:
compile_multilib: "first"
Otherwise the genrule is unable to find the correct variant.

Source jars were not working as designed because javac will only
compile files from the -sourcepath if there are references to them
starting from files on the command line. Switch to extracting
the source jars into a directory and passing a list of the files
to javac.

ALLOW_MISSING_DEPENDENCIES=true can cause missing dependencies to be
hidden from GenerateAndroidBuildActions, which is triggering the
len(jars) == 0 check in compileJavaHeader. For the
ALLOW_MISSING_DEPENDENCIES=true case the check is unnecessary, as the
build rules will be replaced with runtime errors. On the off chance
the check would have been hit in a real build, allow merge_zips to
create an empty zip file if it is asked to.
