As this is the last platform using CONFIG_ARCH_USES_GETTIMEOFFSET, there are some follow-up patches to remove that as well. Before commit 3171a0305d62 ("[PATCH] simplify update_times (avoid jiffies/jiffies_64 aliasing problem)") in 2006, it could not actually do this any differently, but now it seems simpler to just pass the number of jiffies that passed in the meantime. While this loses the ability process interrupts in the middle of the timer tick by calling local_irq_enable(), doing so is fairly peculiar anyway and it seems better to just do what everyone else does here. Change both to calling the new legacy_timer_tick here, which includes the call to profile_tick() but does not fix sun3x as that is still commented out. Instead, enable it whenever CONFIG_LEGACY_TIMER_TICK is disabled as a simplification. It should be possible to select both GENERIC_CLOCKEVENTS and LEGACY_TIMER_TICK from an architecture now and decide at runtime between the two. For the clockevents arch-support.txt file, this means that additional architectures are marked as TODO when they have at least one machine that still uses LEGACY_TIMER_TICK, rather than being marked 'ok' when at least one machine has been converted. This means that both m68k and arm (for riscpc) revert to TODO. At this point, we could just always enable CONFIG_GENERIC_CLOCKEVENTS rather than leaving it off when not needed.
