Mark Rutland 0f61f6be1f arm64: clean up symbol aliasing
Now that we have SYM_FUNC_ALIAS() and SYM_FUNC_ALIAS_WEAK(), use those
to simplify and more consistently define function aliases across
arch/arm64.

Aliases are now defined in terms of a canonical function name. For
position-independent functions I've made the __pi_<func> name the
canonical name, and defined other alises in terms of this.

The SYM_FUNC_{START,END}_PI(func) macros obscure the __pi_<func> name,
and make this hard to seatch for. The SYM_FUNC_START_WEAK_PI() macro
also obscures the fact that the __pi_<func> fymbol is global and the
<func> symbol is weak. For clarity, I have removed these macros and used
SYM_FUNC_{START,END}() directly with the __pi_<func> name.

For example:

	SYM_FUNC_START_WEAK_PI(func)
	... asm insns ...
	SYM_FUNC_END_PI(func)
	EXPORT_SYMBOL(func)

... becomes:

	SYM_FUNC_START(__pi_func)
	... asm insns ...
	SYM_FUNC_END(__pi_func)

	SYM_FUNC_ALIAS_WEAK(func, __pi_func)
	EXPORT_SYMBOL(func)

For clarity, where there are multiple annotations such as
EXPORT_SYMBOL(), I've tried to keep annotations grouped by symbol. For
example, where a function has a name and an alias which are both
exported, this is organised as:

	SYM_FUNC_START(func)
	... asm insns ...
	SYM_FUNC_END(func)
	EXPORT_SYMBOL(func)

	SYM_FUNC_ALIAS(alias, func)
	EXPORT_SYMBOL(alias)

For consistency with the other string functions, I've defined strrchr as
a position-independent function, as it can safely be used as such even
though we have no users today.

As we no longer use SYM_FUNC_{START,END}_ALIAS(), our local copies are
removed. The common versions will be removed by a subsequent patch.

There should be no functional change as a result of this patch.

Mark Brown 3ac0f4526d arm64: lib: Use modern annotations for assembly functions
In an effort to clarify and simplify the annotation of assembly functions
in the kernel new macros have been introduced. These replace ENTRY and
ENDPROC and also add a new annotation for static functions which previously
had no ENTRY equivalent. Update the annotations in the library code to the
new macros.

Mark Rutland 50fdecb292 arm64: page: use asm EXPORT_SYMBOL()
For a while now it's been possible to use EXPORT_SYMBOL() in assembly
files, which allows us to place exports immediately after assembly
functions, as we do for C functions.

As a step towards removing arm64ksyms.c, let's move the copy_page and
clear_page exports to the assembly files the functions are defined in.

There should be no functional change as a result of this patch.

Ard Biesheuvel 288be97cc7 arm64/lib: copy_page: use consistent prefetch stride
The optional prefetch instructions in the copy_page() routine are
inconsistent: at the start of the function, two cachelines are
prefetched beyond the one being loaded in the first iteration, but
in the loop, the prefetch is one more line ahead. This appears to
be unintentional, so let's fix it.

While at it, fix the comment style and white space.

Mark Rutland 6ba3b554f5 arm64: use alternative auto-nop
Make use of the new alternative_if and alternative_else_nop_endif and
get rid of our homebew NOP sleds, making the code simpler to read.

Note that for cpu_do_switch_mm the ret has been moved out of the
alternative sequence, and in the default case there will be three
additional NOPs executed.

Andrew Pinski 60e0a09db2 arm64: lib: patch in prfm for copy_page if requested
On ThunderX T88 pass 1 and pass 2, there is no hardware prefetching so
we need to patch in explicit software prefetching instructions

Prefetching improves this code by 60% over the original code and 2x
over the code without prefetching for the affected hardware using the
benchmark code at https://github.com/apinski-cavium/copy_page_benchmark

Will Deacon 223e23e8aa arm64: lib: improve copy_page to deal with 128 bytes at a time
We want to avoid lots of different copy_page implementations, settling
for something that is "good enough" everywhere and hopefully easy to
understand and maintain whilst we're at it.

This patch reworks our copy_page implementation based on discussions
with Cavium on the list and benchmarking on Cortex-A processors so that:

  - The loop is unrolled to copy 128 bytes per iteration

  - The reads are offset so that we read from the next 128-byte block
in the same iteration that we store the previous block

  - Explicit prefetch instructions are removed for now, since they hurt
performance on CPUs with hardware prefetching

  - The loop exit condition is calculated at the start of the loop
