Jason Gunthorpe 0cf577a03f tpm: Fix handling of missing event log
The event log is an optional firmware feature, if the firmware
does not support it then the securityfs files should not be created
and no other notification given.

- Uniformly return -ENODEV from the tpm_bios_log_setup cone if
  no event log is detected.
- Check in ACPI if this node was discovered via ACPI.
- Improve the check in OF to make sure there is a parent and to
fail detection if the two log properties are not declared
- Pass through all other error codes instead of filtering just some

Check the bios_dir entry for NULL before accessing it. Currently
this crashes the driver when a TPM 2 is attached and the entries
are NULL.

Nayna Jain 02ae138288 tpm: redefine read_log() to handle ACPI/OF at runtime
Currently, read_log() has two implementations: one for ACPI platforms
and the other for device tree(OF) based platforms. The proper one is
selected at compile time using Kconfig and #ifdef in the Makefile,
which is not the recommended approach.

This patch removes the #ifdef in the Makefile by defining a single
read_log() method, which checks for ACPI/OF event log properties at
runtime.

Nayna Jain 748935eeb7 tpm: have event log use the tpm_chip
Move the backing memory for the event log into tpm_chip and push
the tpm_chip into read_log. This optimizes read_log processing by
only doing it once and prepares things for the next patches in the
series which require the tpm_chip to locate the event log via
ACPI and OF handles instead of searching.

This is straightfoward except for the issue of passing a kref through
i_private with securityfs. Since securityfs_remove does not have any
removal fencing like sysfs we use the inode lock to safely get a
kref on the tpm_chip.

Jarkko Sakkinen 7518a21a9d tpm: drop tpm1_chip_register(/unregister)
Check for TPM2 chip in tpm_sysfs_add_device, tpm_bios_log_setup and
tpm_bios_log_teardown in order to make code flow cleaner and to enable
to implement TPM 2.0 support later on. This is partially derived from
the commit by Nayna Jain with the extension that also tpm1_chip_register
is dropped.

Harald Hoyer 186d124f07 tpm_eventlog.c: fix binary_bios_measurements
The commit 0cc698af36 ("vTPM: support little endian guests") copied
the event, but without the event data, did an endian conversion on the
size and tried to output the event data from the copied version, which
has only have one byte of the data, resulting in garbage event data.

[jarkko.sakkinen@linux.intel.com: fixed minor coding style issues and
renamed the local variable tempPtr as temp_ptr now that there is an

Hon Ching \(Vicky\) Lo 0cc698af36 vTPM: support little endian guests
This patch makes the code endianness independent. We defined a
macro do_endian_conversion to apply endianness to raw integers
in the event entries so that they will be displayed properly.
tpm_binary_bios_measurements_show() is modified for the display.

Jason Gunthorpe 187eea0c35 tpm: Merge the tpm-bios module with tpm.o
Now that we can have multiple .c files in the tpm module there is
no reason for tpm-bios.

tpm-bios exported several functions: tpm_bios_log_setup,
tpm_bios_log_teardown, tpm_add_ppi, and tpm_remove_ppi.

They are only used by tpm, and if tpm-bios is built then
tpm will unconditionally require them. Further, tpm-bios does
nothing on its own, it has no module_init function.

Thus we remove the exports and merge the modules to simplify things.

The Makefile conditions are changed slightly to match the code,
tpm_ppi is always required if CONFIG_ACPI is set.
