dingtianhong 2d0dafb015 bonding: remove bond read lock for bond_alb_monitor()
The bond slave list may change when the monitor is running, the slave list is no longer
protected by bond->lock, only protected by rtnl lock(), so we have 3 ways to modify it:
1.add bond_master_upper_dev_link() and bond_upper_dev_unlink() in bond->lock, but it is unsafe
to call call_netdevice_notifiers() in write lock.
2.remove unused bond->lock for monitor function, only use the existing rtnl lock().
3.use rcu_read_lock() to protect it, of course, it will transform bond_for_each_slave to
bond_for_each_slave_rcu() and performance is better, but in slow path, it is ignored.
so I remove the bond->lock and move the rtnl lock to protect the whole monitor function.

Intel Wired LAN Driver Updates

This series contains updates to igb, igbvf, i40e, ixgbe and ixgbevf.

Dan Carpenter provides a patch for igbvf to fix a bug found by a static
checker. If the new MTU is very large, then "new_mtu + ETH_HLEN +
ETH_FCS_LEN" can wrap and the check on the next line can underflow.

Wei Yongjun provides 2 patches, the first against igbvf adds a missing
iounmap() before the return from igbvf_probe(). The second against
i40e, removes the include <linux/version.h> because it is not needed.

Carolyn provides a patch for igb to fix a call to set the master/slave
mode for all m88 generation 2 PHY's and removes the call for I210
devices which do not need it.

   commit fa44f2f185
   Author: Greg Rose <gregory.v.rose@intel.com>
   Date: Thu Jan 17 01:03:06 2013 -0800
igb: Enable SR-IOV configuration via PCI sysfs interface
which breaks the reloading of igb when VFs are assigned to a guest, in
several ways.

Jacob provides a patch for ixgbe and ixgbevf. First, against ixgbe,
cleans up ixgbe_enumerate_functions to reduce code complexity. The
second, against ixgbevf, adds support for ethtool's get_coalesce and
set_coalesce command for the ixgbevf driver.

Yijing Wang provides a patch for ixgbe to use pcie_capability_read_word()
to simplify the code.

Emil provides a ixgbe patch to fix an issue where the logic used to
detect changes in rx-usecs was incorrect and was masked by the call to
ixgbe_update_rsc().

Don provides 2 patches for ixgbevf. First creates a new function to set
PSRTYPE. The second bumps the ixgbevf driver version.

Jacob Keller f1f965793b ixgbe: cleanup ixgbe_enumerate_functions
This function previously had the same check as used by the
ixgbe_pcie_from_parent. As the hardcode is due to the device having an internal
switch, this function should simply use the call from ixgbe_pcie_from_parent.
This reduces code complexity and makes it less likely a developer will forget
to update the list in the future.

2. A follow up issue, pci_enable_sriov() should only be called if no VFs were
still allocated on module unload. Otherwise pci_enable_sriov() gets called
multiple times in a row rendering the NIC unusable until reset.
3. simply calling igb_enable_sriov() in igb_probe_vfs() is not enough as the
interrupts need to be re-setup. Switching that to igb_pci_enable_sriov().

John Fastabend 47d4ab91e4 macvlan: resolve ENOENT errors on creation
After the commit below attempting to create macvlan devices was
resulting in ENOENT errors,

# ip link add link p3p2 type macvlan
RTNETLINK answers: Invalid argument

This happens because netdev_upper_dev_link() is called before
register_netdevice() in the macvlan code. Through a call chain
this results in a call to __netdev_adjacent_dev_insert() and
finally a sysfs_create_link(). This requires the kobject of
the macvlan to be registered which is done in register_netdevice().
If there is no kobject which is the case here the ENOENT error
is seen on the command line.

To resolve this move the netdev_upper_dev_link() call below
the register_netdevice() call. This aligns with vlan driver
flow.

Regression introduced here,

Veaceslav Falico 5378c2e6ea bonding: move bond-specific init after enslave happens
As Jiri noted, currently we first do all bonding-specific initialization
(specifically - bond_select_active_slave(bond)) before we actually attach
the slave (so that it becomes visible through bond_for_each_slave() and
friends). This might result in bond_select_active_slave() not seeing the
first/new slave and, thus, not actually selecting an active slave.

Fix this by moving all the bond-related init part after we've actually
completely initialized and linked (via bond_master_upper_dev_link()) the
new slave.

Also, remove the bond_(de/a)ttach_slave(), it's useless to have functions
to ++/-- one int.

After this we have all the initialization of the new slave *before*
linking, and all the stuff that needs to be done on bonding *after* it. It
has also a bonus effect - we can remove the locking on the new slave init
completely, and only use it for bond_select_active_slave().

====================
Intel Wired LAN Driver Updates

This series contains updates to i40e only.

Jesse provides 6 patches against i40e. First is a patch to reduce
CPU utilization by reducing read-flush to read in the hot path. Next
couple of patches resolve coverity issues reported by Hannes Frederic
Sowa <hannes@stressinduktion.org>. Then Jesse refactored i40e to cleanup
functions which used cpu_to_xxx(foo) which caused a lot of line wrapping.

Mitch provides 2 i40e patches. First fixes a panic when tx_rings[0]
are not allocated, his second patch corrects a math error when
assigning MSI-X vectors to VFs. The vectors-per-vf value reported
by the hardware already conveniently reports one less than the actual
value.

Shannon provides 5 patches against i40e. His first patch corrects a
number of little bugs in the error handling of irq setup, most of
which ended up panicing the kernel. Next he fixes the overactive
IRQ issue seen in testing and allows the use of the legacy interrupt.
Shannon then provides a cleanup of the arguments declared at the
beginning of each function. Then he provides a patch to make sure
that there are really rings and queues before trying to dump
information in them. Lastly he simplifies the code by using an
already existing variable.

Catherine provides an i40e patch to bump the version.

v2:
 - Remove unneeded parenthesis in patch 3 based on feedback from
   Sergei Shtylyov <sergei.shtylyov@cogentembedded.com>
 - Fix patch description for patch 11 based on feedback from
   Sergei Shtylyov <sergei.shtylyov@cogentembedded.com>

Mariusz Ceier d69e0f7ea9 davinci_emac.c: Fix IFF_ALLMULTI setup
When IFF_ALLMULTI flag is set on interface and IFF_PROMISC isn't,

Dmitry Kravkov 4293b9f57a bnx2x: Don't pretend during register dump
As part of a register dump, the interface pretends to have the identity
of other interfaces of the same physical device in order to perform
HW configuration for them - specifically, it needs to prevent attentions
from generating on those functions as the register dump accesses registers
in common blocks which whose reading might generate an attention.

However, such pretension is unsafe - unlike other flows in which the driver
uses pretend, during register dump there is no guarantee no other HW access
will take place (by other flows). If such access will take place, the HW will
be accessed by the wrong interface, and leave both functions in an incorrect
state.

This patch removes all pretensions from the register dump flow. Instead, it
changes initial configuration of attentions such that no fatal attention will
be generated for other functions as a result of the register dump
(notice however, a debug print claiming an attention from other functions IS
possible during the register dump)

Ariel Elior 32316a46f2 bnx2x: Lock DMAE when used by statistic flow
bnx2x has several clients to its DMAE machines - all of them with the exception
of the statistics flow used the same locking mechanisms to synchronize the DMAE
machines' usage.

Since statistics (which are periodically entered) use DMAE without taking the
locks, they may erase the commands which were previously set -
e.g., it may cause a VF to timeout while waiting for a PF answer on the VF-PF
channel as that command header would have been overwritten by the statistics'
header.

This patch makes certain that all flows utilizing DMAE will use the same
API, assuring that the locking scheme will be kept by all said flows.

Yuval Mintz 1a6974b2c7 bnx2x: Prevent an illegal pointer dereference during panic
During a panic, the driver tries to print the Management FW buffer of recent
commands. To do so, the driver reads the address of that buffer from a known
address. If the buffer is unavailable (e.g., PCI reads don't work, MCP is
failing, etc.), the driver will try to access the address it has read, possibly
causing a kernel panic.

This check 'sanitizes' the access, validating the read value is indeed a valid
address inside the management FW's buffers.
The patch also removes a read outside the scope of the buffer, which resulted
in some unrelated chraracters appearing in the log.

Ajit Khaparde ea58c18062 be2net: Rework PCIe error report log messaging
Currently we log a message whenever pcie_enable_error_reporting fails.
The message clutters up logs, especially when we don't support it for VFs.
Instead enable this only for PFs and log a message when the call succeeds.
