The dvb-s2 usb adapter has the id 0CCD-00A8.
So I patches your driver and added the usb id, where the 1F4D:3000 is

This patch is adding support for Technisat's new USB2.0 DVB-S/S2 receiver
device. The development was sponsored by Technisat.
The Green led is toggle depending on the frontend-state. The Red LED is turned
on all the time.
The MAC address reading from the EEPROM along with the
LRC-method to check whether its valid.
Support for the IR-receiver of the Technisat USB2 box. The keys of
small, black remote-control are built-in, repeated key behaviour are
simulated.
The i2c-mutex of the dvb-usb-structure is used as a general mutex for
USB requests, as there are 3 threads racing for atomic requests
consisting of multiple usb-requests.
A module option is there which disables the toggling of LEDs by the
driver on certain triggers. Useful when being used in a "dark"
environment.

There are a few bugs at the code that generates the scancode at dib0700:
- RC keycode is wrong (it outputs a 24 bits keycode);
- NEC extended outputs a keycode that have endiannes issues;
- keycode tables for NEC extended remotes need to be updated.
The last issue need to be done as we get reports, as we don't have
the complete NEC-extended keycodes at the dibcom table.

of old names that were still here.

The Remote Controller subsystem is meant to be used not only by Infra Red
but also for similar types of Remote Controllers. The core is not specific
to Infra Red. As such, rename:
- ir-core.h to rc-core.h
- IR_CORE to RC_CORE
- namespace inside rc-core.c/rc-core.h
To be consistent with the other changes.

This patch merges the ir_input_dev and ir_dev_props structs into a single
struct called rc_dev. The drivers and various functions in rc-core used
by the drivers are also changed to use rc_dev as the primary interface
when dealing with rc-core.
This means that the input_dev is abstracted away from the drivers which
is necessary if we ever want to support multiple input devs per rc device.
The new API is similar to what the input subsystem uses, i.e:
rc_device_alloc()
rc_device_free()
rc_device_register()
rc_device_unregister()

Changeset 1724c8fa7e added an option to change
the maximum I2C size to 8 bytes. However, it forgot to replace the previous
usage at af9015 to use the newly defined macro value
(TDA18271_16_BYTE_CHUNK_INIT).
A latter changeset (e350d44fed) extended the
possible values for .small_i2c field and, instead of using a random sequence
of numbers, it used a number that makes more sense (e. g. the actual limit,
in terms of bytes).
However, as af9015 were using .small_i2c = 1, this become undefined, and the
restriction of a max size of 16 was gone.
While here, fix the reported msg size at tda18271-common.c.

As reported by Carlos, Prolink Pixelview SBTVD Hybrid is based on
Conexant cx231xx + Fujitsu 86A20S demodulator. However, both shares
the same USB ID. So, we need to use USB bcdDevice, in order to
properly discover what's the board.
We know for sure that bcd 0x100 is used for a dib0700 device, while
bcd 0x4001 is used for a cx23102 device. This patch reserves two ranges,
the first one from 0x0000-0x3f00 for dib0700, and the second from
0x4000-0x4fff for cx231xx devices.
This may need fixes in the future, as we get access to other devices.

This patch implements change_protocol callback. With this change,
there's no need for an extra modprobe parameter to specify the
protocol. When a table is loaded (either from in-kernel rc-map
tables or via ir-keytable program), the driver will automatically
change the protocol, in order to work with the given table.
Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@redhat.com>
Instead of having one big keytable with 2 protocols inside, break it
into two separate tables, being one for NEC and another for RC-5 variants,
and properly identify what variant should be used at the boards entries.

Allows dvb-usb drivers to use rc-core, instead of the legacy

No driver were ported yet to rc-core, so, some small adjustments
may be needed, when starting to migrate the drivers.
Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@redhat.com>
This is a big patch, yet trivial. It just move the RC properties
to a separate struct, in order to prepare the dvb-usb drivers to
use rc-core. There's no change on the behavior of the drivers.
With this change, it is possible to have both legacy and rc-core
based code inside the dvb-usb-remote, allowing a gradual migration
to rc-core, driver per driver.

dvb-usb has its own IR handle code. Now that we have a Remote
Controller subsystem, we should start using it. So, remove this
struct, in favor of the similar struct defined at the RC subsystem.

lots of rename on several dvb-usb files.

Some (North American) providers use a non-standard mode called
"8psk turbo fec". Since there is no flag in the driver that
would allow an application to determine whether a particular
device can handle "turbo fec", the attached patch introduces
FE_CAN_TURBO_FEC.
Since there is no flag in the SI data that would indicate
that a transponder uses "turbo fec", VDR will assume that
all 8psk transponders on DVB-S use "turbo fec".

memory.
The reason for this is documented in Documentation/DMA-API-HOWTO.txt
under the section: "What memory is DMA'able?" That document was only
added a couple weeks ago and there are still lots of modules which
haven't been corrected yet. Btw. Smatch includes a pretty good test to
find places which use stack memory as a dma buffer. That's how I found
these. (http://smatch.sf.net).

percpu.h is included by sched.h and module.h and thus ends up being
included when building most .c files. percpu.h includes slab.h which
in turn includes gfp.h making everything defined by the two files
universally available and complicating inclusion dependencies.
percpu.h -> slab.h dependency is about to be removed. Prepare for
this change by updating users of gfp and slab facilities include those
headers directly instead of assuming availability. As this conversion
needs to touch large number of source files, the following script is
used as the basis of conversion.
http://userweb.kernel.org/~tj/misc/slabh-sweep.py
The script does the followings.
* Scan files for gfp and slab usages and update includes such that
only the necessary includes are there. ie. if only gfp is used,
gfp.h, if slab is used, slab.h.
* When the script inserts a new include, it looks at the include
blocks and try to put the new include such that its order conforms
to its surrounding. It's put in the include block which contains
core kernel includes, in the same order that the rest are ordered -
alphabetical, Christmas tree, rev-Xmas-tree or at the end if there
doesn't seem to be any matching order.
* If the script can't find a place to put a new include (mostly
because the file doesn't have fitting include block), it prints out
an error message indicating which .h file needs to be added to the
file.
The conversion was done in the following steps.
1. The initial automatic conversion of all .c files updated slightly
over 4000 files, deleting around 700 includes and adding ~480 gfp.h
and ~3000 slab.h inclusions. The script emitted errors for ~400
files.
2. Each error was manually checked. Some didn't need the inclusion,
some needed manual addition while adding it to implementation .h or
embedding .c file was more appropriate for others. This step added
inclusions to around 150 files.
3. The script was run again and the output was compared to the edits
from #2 to make sure no file was left behind.
4. Several build tests were done and a couple of problems were fixed.
e.g. lib/decompress_*.c used malloc/free() wrappers around slab
APIs requiring slab.h to be added manually.
5. The script was run on all .h files but without automatically
editing them as sprinkling gfp.h and slab.h inclusions around .h
files could easily lead to inclusion dependency hell. Most gfp.h
inclusion directives were ignored as stuff from gfp.h was usually
wildly available and often used in preprocessor macros. Each
slab.h inclusion directive was examined and added manually as
necessary.
6. percpu.h was updated not to include slab.h.
7. Build test were done on the following configurations and failures
were fixed. CONFIG_GCOV_KERNEL was turned off for all tests (as my
distributed build env didn't work with gcov compiles) and a few
more options had to be turned off depending on archs to make things
build (like ipr on powerpc/64 which failed due to missing writeq).
* x86 and x86_64 UP and SMP allmodconfig and a custom test config.
* powerpc and powerpc64 SMP allmodconfig
* sparc and sparc64 SMP allmodconfig
* ia64 SMP allmodconfig
* s390 SMP allmodconfig
* alpha SMP allmodconfig
* um on x86_64 SMP allmodconfig
8. percpu.h modifications were reverted so that it could be applied as
a separate patch and serve as bisection point.
Given the fact that I had only a couple of failures from tests on step
6, I'm fairly confident about the coverage of this conversion patch.
If there is a breakage, it's likely to be something in one of the arch
headers which should be easily discoverable easily on most builds of
the specific arch.

When firmware 1.20 was introduced, the dib0700 switched from a polling model
using a USB control message, to the messages being delivered on a USB bulk
pipe. The code I originally added would do a blocking read on the pipe with a
50ms timeout. Because the dvb-usb-remote code makes use of the global
workqueue, this resulted in the global workqueue being blocked 50% of the
time. Also, the synchronous urb_bulk_msg() call would burn excess CPU time
(reflected as an abnormal increase in the system's load average when devices
were connected).
Rework the logic so that we now setup an asynchronous callback on the bulk
pipe, so that we now only handle RC data when it arrives on the pipe. Note
that we provide a stub function for the RC polling callback so that we can
continue to leverage the shared code in dvb-usb-rc for the setting up of the
input device.
