Automatically add a device link between the actual device requesting the
dpaa2_io_service_register and the underlying dpaa2_io used. This link
will ensure that when a DPIO device, which is indirectly used by other
devices, is unbound any consumer devices will be also unbound from their
drivers.
For example, any DPNI, bound to the dpaa2-eth driver, which is using
DPIO devices will be unbound before its supplier device.
Also, add a new parameter to the dpaa2_io_service_[de]register functions
to specify the requesting device (ie the consumer).

There are several issues with symbols shared b/w:
-caam/jr and caam/qi drivers on one hand
-caam/qi2 driver on the other hand
Commit 52813ab249 ("crypto: caam/qi2 - avoid double export") fixed
some of them, however compilation still fails for CRYPTO_DEV_FSL_CAAM=m
and CRYPTO_DEV_FSL_DPAA2_CAAM=y.
Another issue is related to dependency cycles reported by depmod when
CRYPTO_DEV_FSL_CAAM=n and CRYPTO_DEV_FSL_DPAA2_CAAM=m, as mentioned in
82c7b351be ("Revert "arm64: defconfig: Enable FSL_MC_BUS and FSL_MC_DPIO"")
To fix all these, move the symbols shared by these drivers in a common
location. The only existing possibility is error.c file (note that naming
doesn't help and should probably change).

Nobody has actually used the type (VERIFY_READ vs VERIFY_WRITE) argument
of the user address range verification function since we got rid of the
old racy i386-only code to walk page tables by hand.
It existed because the original 80386 would not honor the write protect
bit when in kernel mode, so you had to do COW by hand before doing any
user access. But we haven't supported that in a long time, and these
days the 'type' argument is a purely historical artifact.
A discussion about extending 'user_access_begin()' to do the range
checking resulted this patch, because there is no way we're going to
move the old VERIFY_xyz interface to that model. And it's best done at
the end of the merge window when I've done most of my merges, so let's
just get this done once and for all.
This patch was mostly done with a sed-script, with manual fix-ups for
the cases that weren't of the trivial 'access_ok(VERIFY_xyz' form.
There were a couple of notable cases:
- csky still had the old "verify_area()" name as an alias.
- the iter_iov code had magical hardcoded knowledge of the actual
values of VERIFY_{READ,WRITE} (not that they mattered, since nothing
really used it)
- microblaze used the type argument for a debug printout
but other than those oddities this should be a total no-op patch.
I tried to fix up all architectures, did fairly extensive grepping for
access_ok() uses, and the changes are trivial, but I may have missed
something. Any missed conversion should be trivially fixable, though.

- Mitigations for Spectre v2 on some Freescale (NXP) CPUs.
- A large series adding support for pass-through of Nvidia V100 GPUs
to guests on Power9.
- Another large series to enable hardware assistance for TLB table
walk on MPC8xx CPUs.
- Some preparatory changes to our DMA code, to make way for further
cleanups from Christoph.
- Several fixes for our Transactional Memory handling discovered by
fuzzing the signal return path.
- Support for generating our system call table(s) from a text file
like other architectures.
- A fix to our page fault handler so that instead of generating a
WARN_ON_ONCE, user accesses of kernel addresses instead print a
ratelimited and appropriately scary warning.
- A cosmetic change to make our unhandled page fault messages more
similar to other arches and also more compact and informative.
- Freescale updates from Scott:
"Highlights include elimination of legacy clock bindings use from
dts files, an 83xx watchdog handler, fixes to old dts interrupt
errors, and some minor cleanup."
And many clean-ups, reworks and minor fixes etc.

Remove dead code related to internal IV generators, which are no longer
used since they've been replaced with the "seqiv" and "echainiv"
templates. The removed code includes:
- The "givcipher" (GIVCIPHER) algorithm type. No algorithms are
registered with this type anymore, so it's unneeded.
- The "const char *geniv" member of aead_alg, ablkcipher_alg, and
blkcipher_alg. A few algorithms still set this, but it isn't used
anymore except to show via /proc/crypto and CRYPTO_MSG_GETALG.
Just hardcode "<default>" or "<none>" in those cases.
- The 'skcipher_givcrypt_request' structure, which is never used.

The Kconfig lexer supports special characters such as '.' and '/' in
the parameter context. In my understanding, the reason is just to
support bare file paths in the source statement.
I do not see a good reason to complicate Kconfig for the room of
ambiguity.
The majority of code already surrounds file paths with double quotes,
and it makes sense since file paths are constant string literals.

the DMA API to properly unmap. Note that the DMA API usage in this

the unmaps, seems to do a secondary map where it looks like it should
to a unmap in one place to work around cache coherency and the

In preparation for adding XChaCha12 support, rename/refactor
chacha20-generic to support different numbers of rounds. The
justification for needing XChaCha12 support is explained in more detail
in the patch "crypto: chacha - add XChaCha12 support".
The only difference between ChaCha{8,12,20} are the number of rounds
itself; all other parts of the algorithm are the same. Therefore,
remove the "20" from all definitions, structures, functions, files, etc.
that will be shared by all ChaCha versions.
Also make ->setkey() store the round count in the chacha_ctx (previously
chacha20_ctx). The generic code then passes the round count through to
chacha_block(). There will be a ->setkey() function for each explicitly
allowed round count; the encrypt/decrypt functions will be the same. I
decided not to do it the opposite way (same ->setkey() function for all
round counts, with different encrypt/decrypt functions) because that
would have required more boilerplate code in architecture-specific
implementations of ChaCha and XChaCha.

'cipher' algorithms (single block ciphers) are always synchronous, so
passing CRYPTO_ALG_ASYNC in the mask to crypto_alloc_cipher() has no
effect. Many users therefore already don't pass it, but some still do.
This inconsistency can cause confusion, especially since the way the
'mask' argument works is somewhat counterintuitive.

In crypto_alloc_context(), a DMA pool is allocated through dma_pool_alloc()
to hold the crypto context. The meta data of the DMA pool, including the
pool used for the allocation 'ndev->ctx_pool' and the base address of the
DMA pool used by the device 'dma', are then stored to the beginning of the
pool. These meta data are eventually used in crypto_free_context() to free
the DMA pool through dma_pool_free(). However, given that the DMA pool can
also be accessed by the device, a malicious device can modify these meta
data, especially when the device is controlled to deploy an attack. This
can cause an unexpected DMA pool free failure.
To avoid the above issue, this patch introduces a new structure
crypto_ctx_hdr and a new field chdr in the structure nitrox_crypto_ctx hold
the meta data information of the DMA pool after the allocation. Note that
the original structure ctx_hdr is not changed to ensure the compatibility.

Clang warns when one enumerated type is implicitly converted to another
and this happens in several locations in this driver, ultimately related
to the set_cipher_{mode,config0} functions. set_cipher_mode expects a mode
of type drv_cipher_mode and set_cipher_config0 expects a mode of type
drv_crypto_direction.
drivers/crypto/ccree/cc_ivgen.c:58:35: warning: implicit conversion from
enumeration type 'enum cc_desc_direction' to different enumeration type
'enum drv_crypto_direction' [-Wenum-conversion]
set_cipher_config0(&iv_seq[idx], DESC_DIRECTION_ENCRYPT_ENCRYPT);
drivers/crypto/ccree/cc_hash.c:99:28: warning: implicit conversion from
enumeration type 'enum cc_hash_conf_pad' to different enumeration type
'enum drv_crypto_direction' [-Wenum-conversion]
set_cipher_config0(desc, HASH_DIGEST_RESULT_LITTLE_ENDIAN);
drivers/crypto/ccree/cc_aead.c:1643:30: warning: implicit conversion
from enumeration type 'enum drv_hash_hw_mode' to different enumeration
type 'enum drv_cipher_mode' [-Wenum-conversion]
set_cipher_mode(&desc[idx], DRV_HASH_HW_GHASH);
Since this fundamentally isn't a problem because these values just
represent simple integers for a shift operation, make it clear to Clang
that this is okay by making the mode parameter in both functions an int.

CGRs (Congestion Groups) have to be freed by the same CPU that
initialized them.
This is why currently the driver takes special measures; however, using
set_cpus_allowed_ptr() is incorrect - as reported by Sebastian.
Instead of the generic solution of replacing set_cpus_allowed_ptr() with
work_on_cpu_safe(), we use the qman_delete_cgr_safe() QBMan API instead
of qman_delete_cgr() - which internally takes care of proper CGR
deletion.

This patch is an extension to the zcrypt device driver to provide,
support and maintain multiple zcrypt device nodes. The individual
zcrypt device nodes can be restricted in terms of crypto cards,
domains and available ioctls. Such a device node can be used as a
base for container solutions like docker to control and restrict
the access to crypto resources.
The handling is done with a new sysfs subdir /sys/class/zcrypt.
Echoing a name (or an empty sting) into the attribute "create" creates
a new zcrypt device node. In /sys/class/zcrypt a new link will appear
which points to the sysfs device tree of this new device. The
attribute files "ioctlmask", "apmask" and "aqmask" in this directory
are used to customize this new zcrypt device node instance. Finally
the zcrypt device node can be destroyed by echoing the name into
/sys/class/zcrypt/destroy. The internal structs holding the device
info are reference counted - so a destroy will not hard remove a
device but only marks it as removable when the reference counter drops
to zero.
The mask values are bitmaps in big endian order starting with bit 0.
So adapter number 0 is the leftmost bit, mask is 0x8000... The sysfs
attributes accept 2 different formats:
* Absolute hex string starting with 0x like "0x12345678" does set
the mask starting from left to right. If the given string is shorter
than the mask it is padded with 0s on the right. If the string is
longer than the mask an error comes back (EINVAL).
* Relative format - a concatenation (done with ',') of the
terms +<bitnr>[-<bitnr>] or -<bitnr>[-<bitnr>]. <bitnr> may be any
valid number (hex, decimal or octal) in the range 0...255. Here are
some examples:
"+0-15,+32,-128,-0xFF"
"-0-255,+1-16,+0x128"
"+1,+2,+3,+4,-5,-7-10"
A simple usage examples:
# create new zcrypt device 'my_zcrypt':
echo "my_zcrypt" >/sys/class/zcrypt/create
# go into the device dir of this new device
echo "my_zcrypt" >create
cd my_zcrypt/
ls -l

-r--r--r-- 1 root root 4096 Jul 20 15:23 dev
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 4096 Jul 20 15:23 ioctlmask
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 0 Jul 20 15:23 subsystem -> ../../../../class/zcrypt
...
# customize this zcrypt node clone
# enable only adapter 0 and 2
echo "0xa0" >apmask
# enable only domain 6
echo "+6" >aqmask
# enable all 256 ioctls
echo "+0-255" >ioctls
# now the /dev/my_zcrypt may be used
# finally destroy it
echo "my_zcrypt" >/sys/class/zcrypt/destroy
Please note that a very similar 'filtering behavior' also applies to
the parent z90crypt device. The two mask attributes apmask and aqmask
in /sys/bus/ap act the very same for the z90crypt device node. However
the implementation here is totally different as the ap bus acts on
bind/unbind of queue devices and associated drivers but the effect is
still the same. So there are two filters active for each additional
zcrypt device node: The adapter/domain needs to be enabled on the ap
bus level and it needs to be active on the zcrypt device node level.

Both the caam ctrl file and dpaa2_caam export a couple of flags. They
use an #ifdef check to make sure that each flag is only built once,
but this fails if they are both loadable modules:
WARNING: drivers/crypto/caam/dpaa2_caam: 'caam_little_end' exported twice. Previous export was in drivers/crypto/caam/caam.ko
WARNING: drivers/crypto/caam/dpaa2_caam: 'caam_imx' exported twice. Previous export was in drivers/crypto/caam/caam.ko
Change the #ifdef to an IS_ENABLED() check in order to make it work in
all configurations. It may be better to redesign this aspect of the
two drivers in a cleaner way.

results in passing to hardware input stream lengths which are not
multiple of block size.

hardware and adjust the scatterlist walking code to obey cryptlen.

The mxs-dcp driver fails to probe if sha1/sha256 are supported:
[ 2.455404] mxs-dcp 80028000.dcp: Failed to register sha1 hash!
[ 2.464042] mxs-dcp: probe of 80028000.dcp failed with error -22
This happens because since commit 8996eafdcb ("crypto: ahash - ensure
statesize is non-zero") import/export is mandatory and ahash_prepare_alg
fails on statesize == 0.
A set of dummy import/export functions were implemented in commit
9190b6fd5d ("crypto: mxs-dcp - Add empty hash export and import") but
statesize is still zero and the driver fails to probe. That change was
apparently part of some unrelated refactoring.
Fix by actually implementing import/export.

As done treewide earlier, this catches several more open-coded
allocation size calculations that were added to the kernel during the

using Coccinelle:

Arnd reports that with Kees's latest VLA patches applied, the HMAC
handling in the QAT driver uses a worst case estimate of 160 bytes
for the SHA blocksize, allowing the compiler to determine the size
of the stack frame at compile time and throw a warning:
drivers/crypto/qat/qat_common/qat_algs.c: In function 'qat_alg_do_precomputes':
drivers/crypto/qat/qat_common/qat_algs.c:257:1: error: the frame size
of 1112 bytes is larger than 1024 bytes [-Werror=frame-larger-than=]
Given that this worst case estimate is only 32 bytes larger than the
actual block size of SHA-512, the use of a VLA here was hiding the
excessive size of the stack frame from the compiler, and so we should
try to move these buffers off the stack.
So move the ipad/opad buffers and the various SHA state descriptors
into the tfm context struct. Since qat_alg_do_precomputes() is only
called in the context of a setkey() operation, this should be safe.
Using SHA512_BLOCK_SIZE for the size of the ipad/opad buffers allows
them to be used by SHA-1/SHA-256 as well.

Add support for aes counter(ctr) block cipher mode of operation for
Exynos Hardware. In contrast to ecb and cbc modes, aes-ctr allows
encyption/decryption for request sizes not being a multiple of 16(bytes).
Hardware requires block sizes being a multiple of 16(bytes). In order to
achieve this, copy request source and destination memory, and align it's size
to 16. That way hardware processes additional bytes, that are omitted
when copying the result back to its original destination.

do not call blocking ops when !TASK_RUNNING; state=1 set at [<8081978c>] dcp_chan_thread_sha+0x3c/0x2ec
The problem is that blocking ops will manipulate current->state
themselves so it is not allowed to call them between
set_current_state(TASK_INTERRUPTIBLE) and schedule().
Fix this by converting the per-chan mutex to a spinlock (it only
protects tiny list ops anyway) and rearranging the wait logic so that
callbacks are called current->state as TASK_RUNNING. Those callbacks
will indeed call blocking ops themselves so this is required.

Add CAAM driver that works using the DPSECI backend, i.e. manages
DPSECI DPAA2 objects sitting on the Management Complex (MC) fsl-mc bus.
Data transfers (crypto requests) are sent/received to/from CAAM crypto
engine via Queue Interface (v2), this being similar to existing caam/qi.
OTOH, configuration/setup (obtaining virtual queue IDs, authorization
etc.) is done by sending commands to the MC f/w.
Note that the CAAM accelerator included in DPAA2 platforms still has
Job Rings. However, the driver being added does not handle access
via this backend. Kconfig & Makefile are updated such that DPAA2-CAAM
(a.k.a. "caam/qi2") driver does not depend on caam/jr or caam/qi
backends - which rely on platform bus support (ctrl.c).

This patch fixes sleep-in-atomic bugs in AES-CBC and AES-XTS VMX
implementations. The problem is that the blkcipher_* functions should
not be called in atomic context.
The bugs can be reproduced via the AF_ALG interface by trying to
encrypt/decrypt sufficiently large buffers (at least 64 KiB) using the
VMX implementations of 'cbc(aes)' or 'xts(aes)'. Such operations then
trigger BUG in crypto_yield():

Crypto engine needs some temporary locations in external memory for
running RSA decrypt forms 2 and 3 (CRT).
These are named "tmp1" and "tmp2" in the PDB.
Update DMA mapping direction of tmp1 and tmp2 from TO_DEVICE to
BIDIRECTIONAL, since engine needs r/w access.

Here is the bit set of char/misc drivers for 4.19-rc1
There is a lot here, much more than normal, seems like everyone is
writing new driver subsystems these days... Anyway, major things here
are:
- new FSI driver subsystem, yet-another-powerpc low-level
hardware bus
- gnss, finally an in-kernel GPS subsystem to try to tame all of
the crazy out-of-tree drivers that have been floating around
for years, combined with some really hacky userspace
implementations. This is only for GNSS receivers, but you
have to start somewhere, and this is great to see.
Other than that, there are new slimbus drivers, new coresight drivers,
new fpga drivers, and loads of DT bindings for all of these and existing
drivers.
Full details of everything is in the shortlog.
All of these have been in linux-next for a while with no reported
issues.

- A fix for a bug in our page table fragment allocator, where a page table page
could be freed and reallocated for something else while still in use, leading
to memory corruption etc. The fix reuses pt_mm in struct page (x86 only) for

- A series to improve the hvc driver & related OPAL console code, which have
been seen to cause hardlockups at times. The hvc driver changes in particular

- Increase our MAX_PHYSMEM_BITS to 128TB when SPARSEMEM_VMEMMAP=y.
- Remove Power8 DD1 and Power9 DD1 support, neither chip should be in use
anywhere other than as a paper weight.
- An optimised memcmp implementation using Power7-or-later VMX instructions
- Support for barrier_nospec on some NXP CPUs.
- Support for flushing the count cache on context switch on some IBM CPUs
(controlled by firmware), as a Spectre v2 mitigation.
- A series to enhance the information we print on unhandled signals to bring it
into line with other arches, including showing the offending VMA and dumping

NX increments readOffset by FIFO size in receive FIFO control register
when CRB is read. But the index in RxFIFO has to match with the
corresponding entry in FIFO maintained by VAS in kernel. Otherwise NX
may be processing incorrect CRBs and can cause CRB timeout.
VAS FIFO offset is 0 when the receive window is opened during
initialization. When the module is reloaded or in kexec boot, readOffset
in FIFO control register may not match with VAS entry. This patch adds
nx_coproc_init OPAL call to reset readOffset and queued entries in FIFO
control register for both high and normal FIFOs.

Should the PSP initialization fail, the PSP data structure will be
freed and the value contained in the sp_device struct set to NULL.
At module unload, psp_dev_destroy() does not check if the pointer
value is NULL and will end up dereferencing a NULL pointer.
Add a pointer check of the psp_data field in the sp_device struct
in psp_dev_destroy() and return immediately if it is NULL.

The ccree driver had a sanity check that we are not asked
to encrypt an XTS buffer bigger than a sane sector size
since XTS IV needs to include the sector number in the IV
so this is not expected in any real use case.
Unfortunately, this breaks cryptsetup benchmark test which
has a synthetic performance test using 64k buffer of data
with the same IV.
Remove the sanity check and allow the user to hang themselves

Each instance provides a number of queues which feed a different number of
backend acceleration units.
The queues are operating in an out of order mode in the interests of
throughput. The silicon does not do tracking of dependencies between
multiple 'messages' or update of the IVs as appropriate for training.
Hence where relevant we need to do this in software.

This was detected by the self-test thanks to Ard's chunking patch.
I finally got around to testing this out on my ancient Via box. It
turns out that the workaround got the assembly wrong and we end up
doing count + initial cycles of the loop instead of just count.
This obviously causes corruption, either by overwriting the source
that is yet to be processed, or writing over the end of the buffer.
On CPUs that don't require the workaround only ECB is affected.
On Nano CPUs both ECB and CBC are affected.
This patch fixes it by doing the subtraction prior to the assembly.

Using get_seconds() for timestamps is deprecated since it can lead
to overflows on 32-bit systems. While the interface generally doesn't
overflow until year 2106, the specific implementation of the TCP PAWS
algorithm breaks in 2038 when the intermediate signed 32-bit timestamps
overflow.
A related problem is that the local timestamps in CLOCK_REALTIME form
lead to unexpected behavior when settimeofday is called to set the system
clock backwards or forwards by more than 24 days.
While the first problem could be solved by using an overflow-safe method
of comparing the timestamps, a nicer solution is to use a monotonic
clocksource with ktime_get_seconds() that simply doesn't overflow (at
least not until 136 years after boot) and that doesn't change during
settimeofday().
To make 32-bit and 64-bit architectures behave the same way here, and
also save a few bytes in the tcp_options_received structure, I'm changing
the type to a 32-bit integer, which is now safe on all architectures.
Finally, the ts_recent_stamp field also (confusingly) gets used to store
a jiffies value in tcp_synq_overflow()/tcp_synq_no_recent_overflow().
This is currently safe, but changing the type to 32-bit requires
some small changes there to keep it working.

The ccree driver implemented NIST 800-38A CBC-CS2 ciphertext format,
which only reverses the last two blocks if the stolen ciphertext amount
are none zero. Move it to the kernel chosen format of CBC-CS3 which swaps
the final blocks unconditionally and rename it to "cts" now that it
complies with the kernel format and passes the self tests.

This patch main goal is to improve driver performance by moving the
crypto request from a list to a RDR ring shadow.
This is possible since there is one producer and one consume for this
RDR request shadow and one ring descriptor is left unused.
Doing this change eliminates the use of spinlock when accessing the
descriptor ring and the need to dynamicaly allocate memory per crypto
request.
The crypto request is placed in the first RDR shadow descriptor only
if there are enough descriptors, when the result handler is invoked,
it fetches the first result descriptor from RDR shadow.

Pull crypto fixes from Herbert Xu:
- Fix use after free in chtls
- Fix RBP breakage in sha3
- Fix use after free in hwrng_unregister
- Fix overread in morus640
- Move sleep out of kernel_neon in arm64/aes-blk
* 'linus' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/herbert/crypto-2.6:
hwrng: core - Always drop the RNG in hwrng_unregister()
crypto: morus640 - Fix out-of-bounds access
crypto: don't optimize keccakf()
crypto: arm64/aes-blk - fix and move skcipher_walk_done out of kernel_neon_begin, _end
crypto: chtls - use after free in chtls_pt_recvmsg()
Remove it because when using a slow console, it can affect
the speed of crypto operations.

The structure algs is local to the source and does not need to be in
global scope, so make it static.
Cleans up sparse warning:
drivers/crypto/cavium/cpt/cptvf_algs.c:354:19: warning: symbol 'algs'
was not declared. Should it be static?

A counter is given to the engine when finishing hash computation. It
currently uses the blocksize while it counts the number of 64 bytes
blocks given to the engine. This works well for all algorithms so far,
as SHA1, SHA224 and SHA256 all have a blocksize of 64 bytes, but others
algorithms such as SHA512 wouldn't work.

This patch reworks the way invalidation request handlers handle the
result descriptor errors, to use the common error handling function.
This improves the drivers in terms of readability and maintainability.

The token size was increased for AEAD support. Occasional authentication
fails arise since the result descriptor overflows. This is because the
token size and the engine minimal thresholds must be in sync.

We call chtls_free_skb() but then we dereference it on the next lines.
Also "skb" can't be NULL, we just dereferenced it on the line before.
I have moved the free down a couple lines to fix this issue.

address suspicious code <gustavo@embeddedor.com>

The issue is that in the code above, set_bit is never reached

Its required to wait for buffer in the send path and takes care of
unaddress and un-handled SOCK_NOSPACE.
