Immediately after sending the last fix I realised that the CODEC DAI names
also don't correspond to the WM8994 driver. Update the DAI names to match.

gas used to accept (and ignore?) .size directives which referred to
undefined symbols, as this does. In binutils 2.21 these are treated
as fatal errors.

We use io_apic_setup_irq_pin() in order to configure pin's interrupt
number polarity and type. This is done on every irq_create_of_mapping()
which happens for instance during pci enable calls. Level typed
interrupts are masked by default, edge are unmasked.
On the first ->xlate() call the level interrupt is configured and
masked. The driver calls request_irq() and the line is unmasked. Lets
assume the interrupt line is shared with another device and we call
pci_enable_device() for this device. The ->xlate() configures the pin
again and it is masked. request_irq() does not unmask the line because
it _is_ already unmasked according to its internal state. So the
interrupt will never be unmasked again.
This patch is based on an earlier work by Torben Hohn and solves the
problem by configuring the pin only once. Since all devices must agree
on the same type and polarity there is no point in configuring the pin
more than once.

We call rtc_read_alarm from rtc_device_register, so it is important
that the rtc device is fully initialized prior to registration.
rtc-max8925 sets drvdata after register, so the rtc_read_alarm code
dereferences a NULL pointer.
Call dev_set_drvdata before rtc_device_register.

--sync will tell perf stat to run sync() before starting a command.
This allows IO-heavy tests to be used with --repeat, without one
iteration impacting the other.
Elapsed time will stabilize for example:
before: 3.971525714 seconds time elapsed ( +- 8.56% )
after: 3.211098537 seconds time elapsed ( +- 1.52% )
So measurements will be more accurate.

Use the UOPS_EXECUTED.*,c=1,i=1 event on Intel CPUs - it is a rather
good indicator of CPU execution stalls, more sensitive and more inclusive
than the 0xa2 resource stalls event (which does not count nearly as many
stall types).

Don't report BTN_TOUCH until we've got data as some less robust applications
can be confused by getting a touch event by itself and it doesn't seem
unreasonable for them to expect coordinates along with a touch.

If the WM831x pen down and data IRQs run in parallel it is possible for the
data and pen down IRQs to deadlock themselves as one is part way through
disabling its operation while the other is part way through enabling. Fix
this by always disabling the pen down interrupt while data is active and
vice versa. When a changeover is required we disable the IRQ that is to
be stopped then schedule work that will enable the new IRQ.
We need to handle the data flow in the data IRQ as the readback from the
device needs to be ordered correctly with the IRQ for robust operation.
This also fixes an issue when using the built in IRQs due to enable_irq()
not being valid from interrupt context on an interrupt controller with bus
operations like the built in IRQ controller - this issue may also have
affected other interrupt controllers. We can't rely on having the data
and pen down IRQs available via GPIOs on the CPU on every system.

Currently there is a race in the MMC core between a card-detect
rescan work and the clock-gating work, scheduled from a command
completion. Fix it by removing the dedicated clock-gating mutex
and using the MMC standard locking mechanism instead.

If pci_ioremap_bar() fails during probe, we "goto release;" and free the
host, but then we return 0 -- which tells sdhci_pci_probe() that the probe
succeeded. Since we think the probe succeeded, when we unload sdhci we'll
go to sdhci_pci_remove_slot() and it will try to dereference slot->host,
which is now NULL because we freed it in the error path earlier.
The patch simply sets ret appropriately, so that sdhci_pci_probe() will
detect the failure immediately and bail out.

The ARM user backtrace code can get into an infinite loop if it
runs into an invalid stack frame which points back to itself.
This situation has been observed in practice. Fix it by capping
the number of entries in the backtrace. This is also what other
architectures do in their backtrace code.

On a remount, the VFS layer will clear the MS_SYNCHRONOUS bit on the
assumption that the flags on the mount syscall will have it set if the
remounted fs is supposed to keep it.
In the case of "noac" though, MS_SYNCHRONOUS is implied. A remount of
such a mount will lose the MS_SYNCHRONOUS flag since "sync" isn't part
of the mount options.

We were unconditionally returning 0 as long as there wasn't an error

When readdir() returns a directory entry for the root of a mounted
filesystem, Linux follows the old convention of returning the inode
number of the covered directory (despite newer versions of POSIX declaring
that this is a bug).
To ensure this continues to work, the NFSv4 readdir implementation requests
the 'mounted-on-fileid' from the server.
However, readdirplus also needs to instantiate an inode for this entry, and
for that, we also need to request the real fileid as per this patch.

It was noticed that P4 machines were generating double NMIs for
each perf event. These extra NMIs lead to 'Dazed and confused'
messages on the screen.
I tracked this down to a P4 quirk that said the overflow bit had
to be cleared before re-enabling the apic LVT mask. My first
attempt was to move the un-masking inside the perf nmi handler
from before the chipset NMI handler to after.
This broke Nehalem boxes that seem to like the unmasking before
the counters themselves are re-enabled.
In order to keep this change simple for 2.6.39, I decided to
just simply move the apic LVT un-masking to the beginning of all
the chipset NMI handlers, with the exception of Pentium4's to
fix the double NMI issue.
Later on we can move the un-masking to later in the handlers to
save a number of 'extra' NMIs on those particular chipsets.
I tested this change on a P4 machine, an AMD machine, a Nehalem
box, and a core2quad box. 'perf top' worked correctly along
with various other small 'perf record' runs. Anything high
stress breaks all the machines but that is a different problem.
Thanks to various people for testing different versions of this
patch.

For m68k, N_NORMAL_MEMORY represents all nodes that have present memory
since it does not support HIGHMEM. This patch sets the bit at the time
node_present_pages has been set by free_area_init_node.
At the time the node is brought online, the node state would have to be
done unconditionally since information about present memory has not yet
been recorded.
If N_NORMAL_MEMORY is not accurate, slub may encounter errors since it
uses this nodemask to setup per-cache kmem_cache_node data structures.
This pach is an alternative to the one proposed by David Rientjes
<rientjes@google.com> attempting to set node state immediately when
bringing the node online.

i915 calls the panic handler function on last close to reset the modes,
however this is a really bad idea for multi-gpu machines, esp shareable
gpus machines. So add a new entry point for the driver to just restore
its own fbcon mode.
v2: move code into fb helper, fix panic code to block mode change on
powered off GPUs.

The git commit c708c57e24 fixed the
access beyond the end of the stack in prng_seed but the pointer
arithmetic is still incorrect. The calculation has been off by
a factor of 64, now it is only off by a factor of 8. prng_seed
is called with a maximum of 16 for nbytes, small enough that
the incorrect calculation stays insides the limits of the stack.
Place parentheses for correct pointer arithmetic.

Multi-gpu/switcheroo relies on this option to get the console on the

When we use IPsec extended sequence numbers, we may overwrite
the last scatterlist of the associated data by the scatterlist
for the skb. This patch fixes this by placing the scatterlist
for the skb right behind the last scatterlist of the associated
data. esp4 does it already like that.

On replay initialization, we compute the size of the replay
buffer to see if the replay window fits into the buffer.
This computation lacks a mutliplication by 8 because we need
the size in bit, not in byte. So we might return an error
even though the replay window would fit into the buffer.
This patch fixes this issue.
