Wolfram Sang 566e0269e5 usb: host: drop owner assignment from platform_drivers
A platform_driver does not need to set an owner, it will be populated by the
driver core.

after device tree based clock lookup became available, the peripheral

Linus Torvalds 39eda2aba6 Merge branch 'next' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/benh/powerpc
Pull powerpc updates from Ben Herrenschmidt:
"Here's the powerpc batch for this merge window. Some of the
  highlights are:

   - A bunch of endian fixes ! We don't have full LE support yet in that
release but this contains a lot of fixes all over arch/powerpc to
use the proper accessors, call the firmware with the right endian
     mode, etc...

   - A few updates to our "powernv" platform (non-virtualized, the one
to run KVM on), among other, support for bridging the P8 LPC bus
for UARTs, support and some EEH fixes.

   - Some mpc51xx clock API cleanups in preparation for a clock API
     overhaul

   - A pile of cleanups of our old math emulation code, including better
support for using it to emulate optional FP instructions on
embedded chips that otherwise have a HW FPU.

   - Some infrastructure in selftest, for powerpc now, but could be
generalized, initially used by some tests for our perf instruction
     counting code.

   - A pile of fixes for hotplug on pseries (that was seriously
     bitrotting)

   - The usual slew of freescale embedded updates, new boards, 64-bit
hiberation support, e6500 core PMU support, etc..."

Gerhard Sittig 7282bdb224 USB: fsl-mph-dr-of: cleanup clock API use
use devm_get_clk() for automatic put upon device release, check for and
propagate errors when enabling clocks, must prepare clocks before they
can get enabled, unprepare after disable

need to use the _parent_ of the platform device for clock lookup, since
this one is associated with the respective device tree node; this change
remains neutral as long as a "globally" provided "usb%d_clk" item gets
provided by either the PPC_CLOCK implementation or clkdev_register'ed
aliases, using the correct devide and thus referencing the right DT node
becomes essential when clock lookup will become based on device tree
when common clock support will get introduced

Peter Chen e90fc3cb08 usb: Fix build error due to dma_mask is not at pdev_archdata at ARM
When build i.mx platform with imx_v6_v7_defconfig, and after adding
USB Gadget support, it has below build error:

CC drivers/usb/host/fsl-mph-dr-of.o
drivers/usb/host/fsl-mph-dr-of.c: In function 'fsl_usb2_device_register':
drivers/usb/host/fsl-mph-dr-of.c:97: error: 'struct pdev_archdata'
has no member named 'dma_mask'

It has discussed at: http://www.spinics.net/lists/linux-usb/msg57302.html

For PowerPC, there is dma_mask at struct pdev_archdata, but there is
no dma_mask at struct pdev_archdata for ARM. The pdev_archdata is
related to specific platform, it should NOT be accessed by
cross platform drivers, like USB.

The code for pdev_archdata should be useless, as for PowerPC,
it has already gotten the value for pdev->dev.dma_mask at function
arch_setup_pdev_archdata of arch/powerpc/kernel/setup-common.c.

Peter Tyser cc604ddd11 USB: ehci-fsl: Fix 'have_sysif_regs' detection
Previously a check was done on an ID register at the base of a CPU's
internal USB registers to determine if system interface regsiters were
present. The check looked for an ID register that had the format
ID[0:5] == ~ID[8:13] as described in the MPC5121 User's Manual to
determine if a MPC5121 or MPC83xx/85xx was being used.

There are two issues with this method:
- The ID register is not defined on the MPC83xx/85xx CPUs, so its
unclear what is being checked on them.
- Newer CPUs such as the P4080 also don't document the ID register, but
do share the same format as the MPC5121. Thus the previous code did
not set 'have_sysif_regs' properly which results in the P4080 not
  properly initializing its USB ports.

Using the device tree 'compatible' node is a cleaner way to determine if
'have_sysif_regs' should be set and resolves the USB initialization issue
seen on the P4080.

Tested on a P4080-based system and compile tested on mpc512x_defconfig
with Freescale EHCI driver enabled.

Anatolij Gustschin 230f7ede6c USB: add USB EHCI support for MPC5121 SoC
Extends FSL EHCI platform driver glue layer to support
MPC5121 USB controllers. MPC5121 Rev 2.0 silicon EHCI
registers are in big endian format. The appropriate flags
are set using the information in the platform data structure.
MPC83xx system interface registers are not available on
MPC512x, so the access to these registers is isolated in
MPC512x case. Furthermore the USB controller clocks
must be enabled before 512x register accesses which is
done by providing platform specific init callback.

The MPC512x internal USB PHY doesn't provide supply voltage.
For boards using different power switches allow specifying
DRVVBUS and PWR_FAULT signal polarity of the MPC5121 internal
PHY using "fsl,invert-drvvbus" and "fsl,invert-pwr-fault"
properties in the device tree USB nodes. Adds documentation
for this new device tree bindings.

Anatolij Gustschin 126512e3f2 USB: add platform glue driver for FSL USB DR controller
Replace FSL USB platform code by simple platform driver for
creation of FSL USB platform devices.

The driver creates platform devices based on the information
from USB nodes in the flat device tree. This is the replacement
for old arch fsl_soc usb code removed by this patch. The driver
uses usual of-style binding, available EHCI-HCD and UDC
drivers can be bound to the created devices. The new of-style
driver additionaly instantiates USB OTG platform device, as the
appropriate USB OTG driver will be added soon.
