Julia Lawall 20d4369b68 drivers/net/ethernet/tundra/tsi108_eth.c: add missing iounmap
Add missing iounmap in error handling code, in a case where the function
already preforms iounmap on some other execution path.

A simplified version of the semantic match that finds this problem is as
follows: (http://coccinelle.lip6.fr/)

// <smpl>

expression e;
statement S,S1;
int ret;

e = \(ioremap\|ioremap_nocache\)(...)
... when != iounmap(e)
if (<+...e...+>) S

    when != iounmap(e)
*if (...)
   { ... when != iounmap(e)

Manfred Rudigier 72092cc453 dp83640: Fix NOHZ local_softirq_pending 08 warning
Similar problem as in 481a819914 ("can:

netif_rx() with netif_rx_ni() which has to be used from
process/softirq context.

Manfred Rudigier 9c4886e5e6 gianfar: Fix invalid TX frames returned on error queue when time stamping
When TX time stamping for PTP messages is enabled on a socket, a time
stamp is returned on the socket error queue to the user space application
after the frame was transmitted. The transmitted frame is also returned on
the error queue so that an application knows to which frame the time stamp
belongs.

In the current implementation the TxFCB is immediately followed by the
frame. Since the eTSEC inserts the TX time stamp 8 bytes after the TxFCB,
parts of the frame have been overwritten and an invalid frame was returned
on the socket error queue.

This patch fixes the described problem by adding additional 16 padding
bytes between the TxFCB and the frame for all messages sent from a time
stamping enabled socket (other sockets are not affected).

Manfred Rudigier db83d136d7 gianfar: Fix missing sock reference when processing TX time stamps
When there is not enough headroom in the skb a private copy will be made.
However, the private copy had no reference to the socket and consequently
no time stamp could be queued on the socket error queue during the
skb_tstamp_tx function. This patch fixes this issue by also stealing the
sock reference from the original skb after making the private copy.

Timur Tabi eb8a54a78e phylib: introduce mdiobus_alloc_size()
Introduce function mdiobus_alloc_size() as an alternative to mdiobus_alloc().
Most callers of mdiobus_alloc() also allocate a private data structure, and
then manually point bus->priv to this object. mdiobus_alloc_size()
combines the two operations into one, which simplifies memory management.

The original mdiobus_alloc() now just calls mdiobus_alloc_size(0).

Linus Torvalds 61bd5e5683 brcmsmac: fix reading of PCI sprom contents
It appears that you can only read the sprom contents with aligned 16-bit
reads: anything else causes at least some versions of the broadcom
chipset to abort the PCI transaction, returning 0xff.

This apparently doesn't trigger very often, because most setups don't
use an external srom chip, and the OTP sprom loading doesn't have this
issue. But at least the current 11" Macbook Air does trigger it, and
wireless communications were broken as a result.

Jussi Kivilinna 71bc5d9406 asix: fix setting custom MAC address on Asix 88178 devices
In kernel v3.2 initialization sequence for Asix 88178 devices was changed so
that hardware is reseted on every time interface is brought up (ifconfig up),
instead just at USB probe time. This causes problem with setting custom MAC
address to device as ax88178_reset causes reload of MAC address from EEPROM.

This patch fixes the issue by rewriting MAC address at end of ax88178_reset.

Rajkumar Manoharan 1a19f77f36 ath9k: Fix regression in channelwidth switch at the same channel
The commit "ath9k: Fix invalid noisefloor reading due to channel update"
preserves the current channel noisefloor readings before updating
channel type at the same channel index. It is also updating the curchan
pointer. As survey updation is also referring curchan pointer to fetch
the appropriate index, which might leads to invalid memory access. This
patch partially reverts the change and stores the noise floor history
buffer before updating channel type w/o updating curchan.

Francois Romieu 7ab87ff4c7 via-rhine: move work from irq handler to softirq and beyond.
- Tx processing is moved from the irq handler to NAPI poll
- link events and obscure event processing is moved to its proper work queue

Locking rules undergo some changes through the driver.

- the driver offers the usual lock-free Tx path
- besides the IRQ handler, the link event task schedules the napi handler.
  The driver thus adds some internal locking to prevent a loop when both
  must be disabled.
- the reset task keeps being scheduled from the Tx watchdog handler, thus
  with implicit Tx queue disabling. It does not need to care about irq,
  only napi softirq and competing task.
- it is not worth to add a dedicated lock between {g, s}et_wol and
  rhine_shutdown. It should not hurt no narrow it down a bit though.
- rhine_reset_task must keep its huge spin_lock_bh protected section due
  to :
  - races for the CAM registers (see rhine_vlan_rx_{add, kill}_vid)
  - implicit use of napi_enable (see init_registers)
  - use of the same lock for stats read / update exclusion between
    napi rx processing and rhine_get_stats
- rhine_resume requires a softirq disabled section for the same reason
  as rhine_reset_task
- {free, request}_irq have been replaced with IntrEnable actions in
  rhine_{suspend, resume}. It is hidden behind init_registers for the
  latter.

	arch/arm/mach-exynos/common.c

The common.c file gets changes from rmk/stable-devel (part of
next/cleanup), rmk/restart, samsung/dt and follow-on branches
from the samsung tree.

Pulling it all together here hopefully avoids having to do
even more conflicting merge changesets in this one file. What
a mess!

At this point if skb->len happens to be 2, the subsequant skb_pull(skb, 4)

Cesar Eduardo Barros 77e1e438cb r6040: fix typo in use of MCR0 register bits
Commit 4e16d6ebd6 (r6040: define more MCR0
register bits) added #define values for MCR0 register bits and converted
uses of hardcoded magic values to uses of these defines.

However, one of the conversions looks suspicious:

 #define MCR0		0x00	/* Control register 0 */
+#define  MCR0_RCVEN	0x0002	/* Receive enable */
+#define  MCR0_XMTEN	0x1000	/* Transmission enable */

 	/* Init RDC private data */
-	lp->mcr0 = 0x1002;
+	lp->mcr0 = MCR0_XMTEN | MCR0;

I believe what was meant here was MCR0_XMTEN | MCR0_RCVEN, which makes
sense and matches the original values.

Michael Chan 23021c2105 cnic: Improve error recovery on bnx2x devices
When a bnx2x device encounters parity errors, it will not respond to all
SPQ messages. As a result, the shutdown sequence before reset can take
a long time as the ulp drivers (bnx2i/bnx2fc) have to wait for timeout
of all such messages.

To improve this scenario, when bnx2x returns error on the SPQ, we'll send
an immediate response to the ulp drivers to avoid such lengthy timeouts.

Adjust the return code of relevant functions to return error only if
the message cannot be sent on the SPQ so that we'll generate an error
completion to the ulp drivers.

Jesse Brandeburg 3a3847e007 e1000: fix lockdep splat in shutdown handler
As reported by Steven Rostedt, e1000 has a lockdep splat added
during the recent merge window. The issue is that
cancel_delayed_work is called while holding our private mutex.

There is no reason that I can see to hold the mutex during pci
shutdown, it was more just paranoia that I put the mutex_lock
around the call to e1000_down.

In a quick survey lots of drivers handle locking differently when
being called by the pci layer. The assumption here is that we
don't need the mutexes' protection in this function because
the driver could not be unloaded while in the shutdown handler
which is only called at reboot or poweroff.

Jan Beulich 73db144b58 Xen: consolidate and simplify struct xenbus_driver instantiation
The 'name', 'owner', and 'mod_name' members are redundant with the
identically named fields in the 'driver' sub-structure. Rather than
switching each instance to specify these fields explicitly, introduce
a macro to simplify this.

Eliminate further redundancy by allowing the drvname argument to
DEFINE_XENBUS_DRIVER() to be blank (in which case the first entry from
the ID table will be used for .driver.name).

Also eliminate the questionable xenbus_register_{back,front}end()
wrappers - their sole remaining purpose was the checking of the
'owner' field, proper setting of which shouldn't be an issue anymore
when the macro gets used.
