Sergio Prado 7c4a1d0cfd net: macb: make magic-packet property generic

This is a new property that it's still in net-next and has never been
used in production, so we are not breaking anything with the
incompatible binding change.

Geert Uytterhoeven 705bcdda81 ravb: Update DT binding example for final CPG/MSSR bindings
The example in the DT binding documentation uses the preliminary DT
bindings for the r8a7795 MSTP clocks, which never went upstream.
Update the example to use the DT bindings for the upstream Clock Pulse
Generator / Module Standby and Software Reset hardware block.

Andrew Lunn e4bf797ac1 DT: phy.txt: Clarify expected compatible values
PHY devices may only list compatibility with clause 22, 45, and if
they need to be more specific, their PHY identifier values. No other
compatible strings are allowed.  Make this clear in the documentation,
and remove examples where make/model compatible strings are listed.

Raja Mani a365e668e8 dt: bindings: add bindings for ipq4019 wifi block
Add device tree binding documentation details for wifi block present
in Qualcomm IPQ4019 SoC into "qcom,ath10k.txt".

Right now, ath10k wireless driver has support for PCI based wlan devices.
There is a plan to extend ath10k driver to support wifi devices which are
connected over AHB as well (enumeration will happen via device tree node).
For AHB based devices (ie, ipq4019), all wifi properties are supplied via
device tree (including irq, reg addr, cal data,etc).

David Rivshin f1eea5c15a drivers: net: cpsw: fix RMII/RGMII mode when used with fixed-link PHY
Commit 1f71e8c96f ("drivers: net: cpsw: Add
support for fixed-link PHY") did not parse the "phy-mode" property in
the case of a fixed-link PHY, leaving slave_data->phy_if with its default
of PHY_INTERFACE_MODE_NA(0). This later gets passed to phy_connect() in
cpsw_slave_open(), and eventually to cpsw_phy_sel() where it hits a default
case that configures the MAC for MII mode.

The user visible symptom is that while kernel log messages seem to indicate
that the interface is set up, there is no network communication. Eventually
a watchdog error occurs:
    NETDEV WATCHDOG: eth0 (cpsw): transmit queue 0 timed out

Gregory CLEMENT 270c499f09 net/macb: Update device tree binding for resetting PHY using GPIO
Instead of being at the MAC level the reset gpio preperty is moved at the
PHY child node level. It is still managed by the MAC, but from the point
of view of the binding it make more sense to be part of the PHY node.

This commit also fixes a build errors if GPIOLIB is not selected.

Phil Reid 43569814fa stmmac: socfpga: Provide dt node to config ptp clk source.
Provides an options to use the ptp clock routed from the Altera FPGA
fabric. Instead of the defalt eosc1 clock connected to the ARM HPS core.
This setting affects all emacs in the core as the ptp clock is common.

Phil Reid e34d65696d stmmac: create of compatible mdio bus for stmmac driver
The DSA driver needs to be passed a reference to an mdio bus. Typically
the mac is configured to use a fixed link but the mdio bus still needs
to be registered so that it con configure the switch.
This patch follows the same process as the altera tse ethernet driver for
creation of the mdio bus.

Gregory CLEMENT 5833e05268 net/macb: add support for resetting PHY using GPIO
With device tree it is no more possible to reset the PHY at board
level. Furthermore, doing in the driver allow to power down the PHY when
the network interface is no more used.

This reset can't be done at the PHY driver level. The PHY must be able to
answer the to the mii bus scan to let the kernel creating a PHY device.

The patch introduces a new optional property "phy-reset-gpios" inspired
from the one use for the FEC.

Andrew Lunn 2ad7b7560f Doc: Micrel-ksz90x1.txt: Document deprecated MAC OF properties
Phy properties are expected to be found in the PHY OF node. However
this Micrel driver also allows them to be placed into the MAC OF node.
This is deprecated. Document it as such, and remove the example using
the deprecated method to prevent people copying it into new device
tree files.

Michael Hennerich 7302b9d901 ieee802154/adf7242: Driver for ADF7242 MAC IEEE802154
This driver has been sitting in the linux-zigbee[2] repository for a long
time. We updated it from time to time and made it available via our
github kernel repository. The Linux MAC802.15.4 support has improved a lot
since then. Thanks to all! So it’s finally time to upstream this driver.

The ADF7242 requires an add-on firmware for the automatic IEEE 802.15.4
operating modes. The firmware file is currently made available on the
ADF7242 wiki page here [1]

Marcin Wojtas 9110ee0776 net: mvneta: enable setting custom TX IP checksum limit
Since Armada 38x SoC can support IP checksum for jumbo frames only on
a single port, it means that this feature should be enabled per-port,
rather than for the whole SoC.

This patch enables setting custom TX IP checksum limit by adding new
optional property to the mvneta device tree node. If not used, by
default 1600B is set for "marvell,armada-370-neta" and 9800B for other
strings, which ensures backward compatibility. Binding documentation
is updated accordingly.

This is the NFC pull request for 4.4.

It's a bit bigger than usual, the 3 main culprits being:

- A new driver for Intel's Fields Peak NCI chipset. In order to
  support this chipset we had to export a few NCI routines and
  extend the driver NCI ops to not only support proprietary
  commands but also core ones.

- Support for vendor commands for both STM drivers, st-nci
  and st21nfca. Those vendor commands allow to run factory tests
  through the NFC netlink interface.

- New i2c and SPI support for the Marvell driver, together with
  firmware download support for this driver's core.

Besides that we also have:

- A few file renames in the STM drivers, to keep the naming
  consistent between drivers.

- Some improvements and fixes on the NCI HCI layer, mostly to
  properly reach a secure element over a legacy HCI link.

- A few fixes for the s3fwrn5 and trf7970a drivers.

Christophe Ricard 3648dc6d27 NFC: st-nci: Add ese-present/uicc-present dts properties
In order to align with st21nfca, dts configuration properties
ese_present and uicc_present are made available in st-nci driver.

So far, in early development firmware, because
nci_nfcee_mode_set(DISABLE) was not supported we had to try to
enable it during the secure element discovery phase.

After several trials on commercial and qualified firmware it appears
that nci_nfcee_mode_set(ENABLE) and nci_nfcee_mode_set(DISABLE) are
properly supported.

Such feature also help us to eventually save some time (~5ms) when
only one secure element is connected.

The Hisilicon Network Subsystem is a long term evolution IP which is
supposed to be used in Hisilicon ICT SoC. The IP, which is called hns
for short, is a TCP/IP acceleration engine, which can directly decode
TCP/IP stream and distribute them to different ring buffers.

HNS can be configured to work on different mode for different scenario.
This patch make use only some of the mode to make it as standard
ethernet NIC. The other mode will be added soon.

The whole function has 4 kernel sub-modules:

hnae: the HNS acceleration engine framework. It provides a abstract
interface between the engine and the upper layers which make use of the
engine by ring buffer.

hns_enet_drv: a standard ethernet driver that base on the ring buffer.

hns_dsaf: one of the implementation of HNS acceleration engine, which is
applied on Hililicon hip05, Hi1610 and other later-on SoCs

hns_mdio: the mdio control to the PHY, used by acceleration engine

In DRA72x EVM, by default slave 1 is connected to the onboard
phy, but slave 2 pins are also muxed with video input module
which is controlled by pcf857x gpio and currently to select slave
0 to connect to phy gpio hogging is used, but with
omap2plus_defconfig the pcf857x gpio is built as module. So when
using NFS on DRA72x EVM, board doesn't boot as gpio hogging do
not set proper gpio state to connect slave 0 to phy as it is
built as module and you do not see any errors for not setting
gpio and just mentions dhcp reply not got.

To solve this issue, introducing "mode-gpios" in DT when gpio
based muxing is required. This will throw a warning when gpio
get fails and returns probe defer. When gpio-pcf857x module is
installed, cpsw probes again and ethernet becomes functional.
Verified this on DRA72x with pcf as module and ramdisk.

Andrew Lunn 1e72e6f885 net: dsa: Allow multi hop routes to be expressed
With more than two switches in a hierarchy, it becomes necessary to
describe multi-hop routes between switches. The current binding does
not allow this, although the older platform_data did. Extend the link
property to be a list rather than a single phandle to a remote switch.
It is then possible to express that a port should be used to reach
more than one switch and the switch maybe more than one hop away.

Andrew Lunn 6bc6d0a881 dsa: Support multiple MDIO busses
When using a cluster of switches, some topologies will have an MDIO
bus per switch, not one for the whole cluster. Allow this to be
represented in the device tree, by adding an optional mii-bus property
at the switch level. The old platform_device method of instantiation
supports this already, so only the device tree binding needs extending
with an additional optional phandle.

WingMan Kwok 71382bc043 net: netcp: Fixes efuse mac addr swap on k2e and k2l
On some of the K2E and K2L platforms, the two DWORDs in
efuse occupied by the pre-programmed mac address for
slave port 1 are swapped.  To workaround this issue,
this patch adds a new define NETCP_EFUSE_ADDR_SWAP (2)
which signifies the occurrence of such swapping so that
the driver can take proper action.  The flag can be
enabled in the corresponding netcp interface dts binding
as efuse-mac = <2>  under the corresponding netcp
interface node.

Stas Sergeev 4cba5c2103 of_mdio: add new DT property 'managed' to specify the PHY management type
Currently the PHY management type is selected by the MAC driver arbitrary.
The decision is based on the presence of the "fixed-link" node and on a
will of the driver's authors.
This caused a regression recently, when mvneta driver suddenly started
to use the in-band status for auto-negotiation on fixed links.
It appears the auto-negotiation may not work when expected by the MAC driver.

Simon Guinot f522a975a8 net: mvneta: introduce compatible string "marvell, armada-xp-neta"
The mvneta driver supports the Ethernet IP found in the Armada 370, XP,
380 and 385 SoCs. Since at least one more hardware feature is available
for the Armada XP SoCs then a way to identify them is needed.

Sergei Shtylyov c156633f13 Renesas Ethernet AVB driver proper
Ethernet AVB includes an Gigabit Ethernet controller (E-MAC) that is basically
compatible with SuperH Gigabit Ethernet E-MAC.  Ethernet AVB has  a  dedicated
direct memory access controller (AVB-DMAC) that is a new design compared to the
SuperH E-DMAC. The AVB-DMAC is compliant with 3 standards formulated for IEEE
802.1BA: IEEE 802.1AS timing and synchronization protocol, IEEE 802.1Qav real-
time transfer, and the IEEE 802.1Qat stream reservation protocol.

The  driver only supports device tree probing, so the binding document is
included in this patch.

Mark A. Greer ab714817d7 NFC: trf7970a: Handle extra byte in response to Type 5 RMB commands
The current versions of the trf7970a has an erratum where it returns
an extra byte in the response to 'Read Multiple Block' (RMB) commands.
This command is issued to Type 5 tags (i.e., ISO/IEC 15693 tags) by
the neard daemon.

To handle this, define a new Device Tree property,
't5t-rmb-extra-byte-quirk', which indicates that the associated
trf7970a device has this erratum.  The trf7970a device driver
will then ensure that the response length to RMB commands is
reduced by one byte (for devices with the erratum).

The AMD XGBE device is intended to work with a specific integrated PHY
and that PHY is not meant to be a standalone PHY for use by other
devices. As such this patch removes the phylib driver and implements
the PHY support in the amd-xgbe driver (the majority of the logic from
the phylib driver is moved into the amd-xgbe driver).

Florian Fainelli ab6016e0c1 of: mdio: Add a "broken-turn-around" property
Some Ethernet PHY devices/switches may not properly release the MDIO bus
during turn-around time, and fail to drive it low, which can be seen by
some controllers as a read failure, while the data clocked in is still
correct.

Add a boolean property "broken-turn-around" which is parsed by the
generic MDIO bus probing code and will set the corresponding bit in the
MDIO bus phy_ignore_ta_mask bitmask for MDIO bus drivers to utilize that
information.

Pavel Nakonechny 303038135a net: dsa: fix filling routing table from OF description
According to description in 'include/net/dsa.h', in cascade switches
configurations where there are more than one interconnected devices,
'rtable' array in 'dsa_chip_data' structure is used to indicate which
port on this switch should be used to send packets to that are destined
for corresponding switch.

However, dsa_of_setup_routing_table() fills 'rtable' with port numbers
of the _target_ switch, but not current one.

This commit removes redundant devicetree parsing and adds needed port
number as a function argument. So dsa_of_setup_routing_table() now just
looks for target switch number by parsing parent of 'link' device node.

To remove possible misunderstandings with the way of determining target
switch number, a corresponding comment was added to the source code and
to the DSA device tree bindings documentation file.

This was tested on a custom board with two Marvell 88E6095 switches with
following corresponding routing tables: { -1, 10 } and { 8, -1 }.

WingMan Kwok 9a391c7ba7 net: netcp: ethss: enhancement to support NetCP 1.5 ethss
NetCP 1.5 available on newer K2 SoCs such as K2E and K2L introduced 3
variants of the ethss subsystem, 9 port, 5 port and 2 port. These have
one host port towards the CPU and N external slave ports.

To customize the driver for these new ethss sub systems, multiple
compatibility strings are introduced. Currently some of parameters that
are different on different variants such as number of ALE ports, stats
modules and number of ports are defined through constants. These are now
changed to variables in gbe_priv data that get set based on the
compatibility string. This is required as there are no hardware
identification registers available to distinguish among the variants
of NetCP 1.5 ethss. However there is identification register available
to differentiate between NetCP 1.4 vs NetCP 1.5 and the same is made use
of in the code to differentiate them.

Ethss has multiple modules within the sub system
 - switch sub system
 - sgmii
 - mdio
 - switch module

NetCP driver re-uses existing davinci mdio driver. It requires to
have its own register region to map the reg space. So restructure
the code to use separate reg region for the individual modules it
manages. Use range property to define register space of NetCP and
use reg property to define individual reg spaces. So MDIO will have
its own reg space to map. This is a pre-requisite to enable MDIO
driver for NetCP.

Brad Campbell f0b7d43c8a cc2520: Add support for CC2591 amplifier.
The TI CC2521 is an RF power amplifier that is designed to interface
with the CC2520. Conveniently, it directly interfaces with the CC2520
and does not require any pins to be connected to a
microcontroller/processor. Adding a CC2591 increases the CC2520's range,
which is useful for border router and other wall-powered applications.

Using the CC2591 with the CC2520 requires configuring the CC2520 GPIOs
that are connected to the CC2591 to correctly set the CC2591 into TX and
RX modes. Further, TI recommends that the CC2520_TXPOWER and
CC2520_AGCCTRL1 registers are set differently to maximize the CC2591's
performance. These settings are covered in TI Application Note AN065.

This patch adds an optional `amplified` field to the cc2520 entry in the
device tree. If present, the CC2520 will be configured to operate with a
CC2591.

The expected pin mapping is:
CC2520 GPIO0 --> CC2591 EN
CC2520 GPIO5 --> CC2591 PAEN

While testing I experience a deadlock while using the at86rf233 on a
raspberry pi. The reason was an edge triggered gpio irq because the irq
triggered while irq was disabled. This issue doesn't happend on a level
triggered irq because the irq will hit after calling enable_irq.

This patch adds a warning that it's not recommended to use a edge-triggered
irq type. Also change the examples to high-level irqtype.

Karicheri, Muralidharan 44eefcdfb9 Documentation: dt: net: Add binding doc for Keystone NetCP ethernet driver
The network coprocessor (NetCP) is a hardware accelerator that processes
Ethernet packets. NetCP has a gigabit Ethernet (GbE) subsystem with a ethernet
switch sub-module to send and receive packets. NetCP also includes a packet
accelerator (PA) module to perform packet classification operations such as
header matching, and packet modification operations such as checksum
generation. NetCP can also optionally include a Security Accelerator(SA)
capable of performing IPSec operations on ingress/egress packets.

Keystone SoC's also have a 10 Gigabit Ethernet Subsystem (XGbE) which
includes a 3-port Ethernet switch sub-module capable of 10Gb/s and
1Gb/s rates per Ethernet port.

NetCP Subsystem device tree layout looks something like below:

Lendacky, Thomas c3152d4728 amd-xgbe-phy: Change auto-negotiation logic
The auto negotiation logic was geared to being the initiator of the
auto negotiation. This presented problems when auto negotiation was
initiated by the remote end. Change the auto negotiation logic to
make use of the auto negotiation event interrupt thus allowing the
auto negotiation state machine to function properly in either scenario.
This also removes the polling during auto-negotiation.

Peter Griffin 9b1a6d36c3 stmmac: dwmac-sti: Pass sysconfig register offset via syscon dt property.
Based on Arnds review comments here https://lkml.org/lkml/2014/11/13/161,
we should not be mixing address spaces in the reg property like this driver
currently does. This patch updates the driver, dt docs and also the existing
dt nodes to pass the sysconfig offset in the syscon dt property.

This patch breaks DT compatibility! But this platform is considered WIP,
and is only used by a few developers who are upstreaming support for it.
This change has been done as a single atomic commit to ensure it is
bisectable.

Nimrod Andy de40ed31b3 net: fec: add Wake-on-LAN support
Support for Wake-on-LAN using Magic Packet. ENET IP supports sleep mode
in low power status, when system enter suspend status, Magic packet can
wake up system even if all SOC clocks are gate. The patch doing below things:
- flagging the device as a wakeup source for the system, as well as
  its Wake-on-LAN interrupt
- prepare the hardware for entering WoL mode
- add standard ethtool WOL interface
- enable the ENET interrupt to wake us

Tested on i.MX6q/dl sabresd, sabreauto boards, i.MX6SX arm2 boards.

Johan Hovold c3a8e1eddd dt/bindings: add clock-select function property to micrel phy binding
Add "micrel,rmii-reference-clock-select-25-mhz" to Micrel ethernet PHY
binding documentation.

This property is needed to properly describe some revisions of Micrel
PHYs which has the function of this configuration bit inverted so that
setting it enables 25 MHz rather than 50 MHz clock mode.

Note that a clock reference ("rmii-ref") is still needed to actually
select either mode.

Johan Hovold 86dc1342bc net: phy: micrel: add support for clock-mode select to KSZ8081/KSZ8091
Micrel KSZ8081 and KSZ8091 PHYs have the RMII Reference Clock Select
bit, which is used to select 25 or 50 MHz clock mode.

Note that on some revisions of the PHY (e.g. KSZ8081RND) the function of
this bit is inverted so that setting it enables 25 rather than 50 MHz
mode. Add a new device-tree property
"micrel,rmii-reference-clock-select-25-mhz" to describe this.

Roger Quadros 3ff9027ca6 can: c_can: Add syscon/regmap RAMINIT mechanism
Some TI SoCs like DRA7 have a RAMINIT register specification
different from the other AMxx SoCs and as expected by the
existing driver.

To add more insanity, this register is shared with other
IPs like DSS, PCIe and PWM.

Provides a more generic mechanism to specify the RAMINIT
register location and START/DONE bit position and use the
syscon/regmap framework to access the register.

Tony Lindgren 7d2911c438 net: smc91x: Fix gpios for device tree based booting
With legacy booting, the platform init code was taking care of
the configuring of GPIOs. With device tree based booting, things
may or may not work depending what bootloader has configured or
if the legacy platform code gets called.

Let's add support for the pwrdn and reset GPIOs to the smc91x
driver to fix the issues of smc91x not working properly when
booted in device tree mode.

And let's change n900 to use these settings as some versions
of the bootloader do not configure things properly causing
errors.

Giuseppe CAVALLARO 53b26b9bc9 stmmac: dwmac-sti: review the glue-logic for STi4xx and STiD127 SoCs
This patch is to review the whole glue logic adopted on STi SoCs that
was bugged.

In the old glue-logic there was a lot of confusion when setup the
retiming especially for STiD127 where, for example, the bits 6 and 7
(in the GMAC  control register) have a different meaning of what is
used for STiH4xx SoCs. So we cannot adopt the same glue for all these
SoCs.
Moreover, GiGa on STiD127 didn't work and, for all the SoCs, the RGMII
couldn't run when the speed was 10Mbps (because the clock was not properly
managed).
Note that the phy clock needs to be provided by the platform as well as
documented in the related binding file (updated as consequence).

The old code supported too many configurations never adopted and validated.
This made the code very complex to maintain and debug in case of issues.

The patch simplifies all the configurations as commented in the tables
inside the file and obviously it has been tested on all the boards
based on the SoCs mentioned.

With this patch, the dwmac-sti is also ready to support new configurations that
will be available on next SoC generations.
