Russell King daeb4c0c3b ARM: PCI: get rid of pci_std_swizzle()
Most PCI implementations use the standard PCI swizzle function, which
handles the well defined behaviour of PCI-to-PCI bridges which can be
found on cards (eg, four port ethernet cards.)

Rather than having almost every platform specify the standard swizzle
function, make this the default when no swizzle function is supplied.
Therefore, a swizzle function only needs to be provided when there is
something exceptional which needs to be handled.

This gets rid of the swizzle initializer from 47 files, and leaves us
with just two platforms specifying a swizzle function: ARM Integrator
and Chalice CATS.

Hiroshi DOYU 87d0bab2cb ARM: tegra: Add Tegra AHB driver
Tegra AHB Bus conforms to the AMBA Specification (Rev 2.0) Advanced
High-performance Bus (AHB) architecture.

The AHB Arbiter controls AHB bus master arbitration. This effectively
forms a second level of arbitration for access to the memory
controller through the AHB Slave Memory device. The AHB pre-fetch
logic can be configured to enhance performance for devices doing
sequential access. Each AHB master is assigned to either the high or
low priority bin. Both Tegra20/30 have this AHB bus.

Some of configuration params could be passed from DT too if needed.

Marc Zyngier bd0493eaaf ARM: 7413/1: move read_{boot,persistent}_clock to the architecture level

Stephen Warren aa607ebf93 ARM: tegra: add USB ULPI PHY reset GPIO to device tree
ULPI PHYs have a reset signal, and different boards use a different GPIO
for this task. Add a property to device tree to represent this.

I'm not sure if adding this property to the EHCI controller node is
entirely correct; perhaps eventually we should have explicit separate
nodes for the various PHYs. However, we don't have that right now, so this
binding seems like a reasonable choice.

Dan Williams bf03f65b79 tegra, serial8250: add ->handle_break() uart_port op
The "KT" serial port has another use case for a "received break" quirk,
so before adding another special case to the 8250 core take this
opportunity to push such quirks out of the core and into a uart_port op.

Stephen says:
"If the callback function is to no longer live in 8250.c itself,
arch/arm/mach-tegra/devices.c isn't logically a good place to put it,
and that file will be going away once we get rid of all the board files
and move solely to device tree."

...so since 8250_pci.c houses all the quirks for pci serial devices this
quirk is similarly housed in of_serial.c. Once the open firmware
conversion completes the infrastructure details
(include/linux/of_serial.h, and the export) can all be removed to make
this self contained to of_serial.c.

Rather than having a single tegra-pinctrl driver that determines whether

Stephen Warren f30d12b3ff ARM: tegra: Switch to new pinctrl driver
* Rename old pinmux and new pinctrl platform driver and DT match table
entries, so the new driver gets instantiated.
* Re-write board-pinmux.c, so that it uses pinctrl APIs to configura the
  pinmux.
* Re-write board-*-pinmux.c so that the pinmux configuration tables are
  in pinctrl format.

Ventana's pin mux table needed some edits on top of the basic format
conversion, since some mux options that were previously marked as
reserved are now valid in the new pinctrl driver. Attempting to use the
old reserved names will result in a failure. Specifically, groups lpw0,
lpw2, lsc1, lsck, and lsda were changed from function rsvd4 to displaya,
and group pta was changed from function rsvd2 to hdmi.

All boards' pin mux tables needed some edits on top of the based format
conversion, since function i2c was split into i2c1 (first general I2C
controller) and i2cp (power I2C controller) to better align function
definitions with HW blocks.

Due to the split of mux tables into pure mux and pull/tristate tables,
many entries in the separate Seaboard/Ventana tables could be merged
into the common table, since the entries differed only in the portion
in one of the tables, not both.

Most pin groups allow configuration of mux, tri-state, and pull. However,
some don't allow pull configuration, which is instead configured by new
groups that only allow pull configuration. This is a reflection of the
true HW capabilities, which weren't fully represented by the old pinmux
driver. This required adding new pull table entries for those new groups,
and setting many other entries' pull configuration to
TEGRA_PINCONFIG_DONT_SET.

Stephen Warren 80881dae52 ARM: tegra: uncompress.h: Implement TEGRA_DEBUG_UART_AUTO_ODMDATA
Tegra has 5 UARTS which could be used for low-level debug output. Commit
fe26398 "ARM: tegra: uncompress.h: Choose a UART at runtime" implemented
one method for the kernel to automatically determine which of these to
use at run-time, so that the same DEBUG_LL-enabled kernel image could be
used across multiple Tegra boards. The required bootloader-side setup for
that option is implemented in NVIDIA's various downstream U-Boot branches,
but the U-Boot maintainers have refused to accept it upstream.

This change implements an alternative automatic UART selection option
using ODMDATA. This is a 32-bit value programmed into Tegra's boot memory
which provides a few pieces of basic board-specific information, including
a field that indicates the console UART. Setting up this value is part of
the standard Tegra boot architecture, and so requires no Tegra-specific
hacks in the bootloader's UART driver.

Note that in theory, the format of ODMDATA is board-specific. However, in
practice all boards use the same location/size/values for the UART field.
ODMDATA[19:18] (which drive the type of debug console) is more problematic,
since some boards use value 2 for UART and others use 3. This patch just
accepts either value; if this doesn't work well for a given board, I'd
suggest simply not enabling this debug option when building for that board.

Note that the kernel assumes the bootloader has already set up any required
pinmux settings for the UART; there is no way the kernel can do this for
itself prior to knowing which board it's running on. In practice, people
using this feature are highly likely to be using bootloaders that have
indeed configured the pinmux. This assumption existed prior to this patch.

Linus Torvalds 820d41cf0c ARM: cleanups of io includes
Rob Herring has done a sweeping change cleaning up all of the mach/io.h includes,
moving some of the oft-repeated macros to a common location and removing a bunch of
boiler plate. This is another step closer to a common zImage for multiple platforms.

Merge tag 'split-asm_system_h-for-linus-20120328' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/dhowells/linux-asm_system

Pull "Disintegrate and delete asm/system.h" from David Howells:
"Here are a bunch of patches to disintegrate asm/system.h into a set of
separate bits to relieve the problem of circular inclusion
  dependencies.

I've built all the working defconfigs from all the arches that I can
and made sure that they don't break.

The reason for these patches is that I recently encountered a circular
dependency problem that came about when I produced some patches to
optimise get_order() by rewriting it to use ilog2().

This uses bitops - and on the SH arch asm/bitops.h drags in
  asm-generic/get_order.h by a circuituous route involving asm/system.h.

The main difficulty seems to be asm/system.h. It holds a number of
low level bits with no/few dependencies that are commonly used (eg.
memory barriers) and a number of bits with more dependencies that
aren't used in many places (eg. switch_to()).

These patches break asm/system.h up into the following core pieces:

    (1) asm/barrier.h

Move memory barriers here. This already done for MIPS and Alpha.

    (2) asm/switch_to.h

Move switch_to() and related stuff here.

    (3) asm/exec.h

Move arch_align_stack() here. Other process execution related bits
could perhaps go here from asm/processor.h.

    (4) asm/cmpxchg.h

Move xchg() and cmpxchg() here as they're full word atomic ops and
frequently used by atomic_xchg() and atomic_cmpxchg().

    (5) asm/bug.h

        Move die() and related bits.

    (6) asm/auxvec.h

        Move AT_VECTOR_SIZE_ARCH here.

Other arch headers are created as needed on a per-arch basis."

Fixed up some conflicts from other header file cleanups and moving code
around that has happened in the meantime, so David's testing is somewhat
weakened by that. We'll find out anything that got broken and fix it..

Linus Torvalds 281b05392f ARM: SoC specific updates
These changes are all specific to an soc family or the code for
one soc. Lots of work for Tegra3 this time, but also a lot of other
platforms. There will be another (smaller) set of soc patches later in
the merge window for stuff that has dependencies on external trees or
that was sent just before the merge window opened.

The asoc tree added a few devices to the i.mx platform, which conflict
with other devices added in the same place here.

The tegra Makefile conflicts between a number of branches, mostly because
of changes regarding localtimer.c, which was removed in the end.

Linus Torvalds 475c77edf8 Merge branch 'linux-next' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/jbarnes/pci
Pull PCI changes (including maintainer change) from Jesse Barnes:
"This pull has some good cleanups from Bjorn and Yinghai, as well as
some more code from Yinghai to better handle resource re-allocation
  when enabled.

There's also a new initcall_debug feature from Arjan which will print
out quirk timing information to help identify slow quirks for fixing
or refinement (Yinghai sent in a few patches to do just that once the
  new debug code landed).

Beyond that, I'm handing off PCI maintainership to Bjorn Helgaas.
He's been a core PCI and Linux contributor for some time now, and has
kindly volunteered to take over. I just don't feel I have the time
for PCI review and work that it deserves lately (I've taken on some
other projects), and haven't been as responsive lately as I'd like, so
I approached Bjorn asking if he'd like to manage things. He's going
to give it a try, and I'm confident he'll do at least as well as I
have in keeping the tree managed, patches flowing, and keeping things
  stable."

resource fixup cleanups clashing with list handling cleanup, ppc iseries
removal clashing with pci_probe_only cleanup etc)

Stephen Warren 8c3ec84102 ARM: tegra: Fix device tree AUXDATA for USB/EHCI
Commit 4a53f4e "USB: ehci-tegra: add probing through device tree" added
AUXDATA for Tegra's USB/EHCI controller. However, it pointed the platform

Dmitry Artamonow 795d5fd4b8 arm/tegra: add timeout to PCIe PLL lock detection loop
Tegra PCIe driver waits for PLL to lock using busy loop.
If PLL fails to lock for some reason, this leads to silent lockup
while booting (as PCIe code is not modular).

Fix by adding timeout, so if PLL doesn't lock in a couple
of seconds, just PCIe driver fails and machine continues to boot.

Stephen Warren 8c690fdf46 ARM: dt: Explicitly configure all serial ports on Tegra Cardhu
The ports are used as follows:
UART1/A: Routed to debug dongle
UART2/B: GPS
UART3/C: Bluetooth
UART4/D: Routed to debug dongle
UART5/E: Not connected

The debug dongle has jumpers to connect either UART1/A or UART4/D to
the DB-9 connector. UART1/A is typically used on Cardhu, and is the option
we assume here.

For now, only enable UART1/A, and explicitly disable all other ports.

The explicit disable prevents the message "of_serial 70006040.serial:
no clock-frequency property set" being printed during boot.

Enabling the other ports requires their clocks to be enabled, or accesses
to the registers will hang. At present, this requires adding entries into
board-dt-tegra30.c's tegra_dt_clk_init_table[]. Lets punt on that and wait
for the common clock bindings to set this all up, although that will also
requiring adding clock support to 8250.c.

While we're at it, fix board-dt-tegra30.c to enable the correct clock for
the debug UART. We got away with this before, because the bootloader already
enabled it.

board-dt-tegra*.c should support any board using Tegra when booted using
device tree. Instead of explicitly listing all the supported boards,
which requires a kernel change for each new board, list the supported SoC
model instead.

Note that the board files do currently have explicit support for setting
up each board's pinmux. However, it's fairly likely that at least the
basic devices on any new board will work just fine as set up by the boot-
loader, and the pinmux data should be moving into device tree soon anyway.

USB: transceiver changes for 3.4

Here we have a big rework done by Heikki Krogerus (thanks) which
splits OTG functionality away from transceivers.

We have known for quite a long time that struct otg_transceiver was
a bad name for the structure, considering transceiver is far from
being OTG-specific (see 4e67185).

This fixes the following compile error:

  CC arch/arm/boot/compressed/misc.o

arch/arm/mach-tegra/include/mach/uncompress.h: In function 'arch_decomp_setup':

cc1: some warnings being treated as errors

This is due to use of the ARRAY_SIZE() macro. Typically, this would be
solved by including <linux/bug.h>, but the compressor code isn't part of
the kernel, and so should not include kernel headers. Instead, define
the few macros the code uses directly, and in a way that doesn't depend
on <linux/bug.h>.

Commit d91eeb0 "ARM: tegra: emc: device tree support" modified the EMC
driver to create an EMC table from existing register settings when none
was provided through platform data or device tree. This code wrote the
wrong clock rate into the table; the actual rate in Hz, rather than the
expected half-rate in KHz. This caused the BUG_ON in

be generated.

Stephen Warren 6d7d7b3ecd ARM: tegra: Pass uncompress.h UART selection to DEBUG_LL
uncompress.h now saves the selected UART's physical address in Tegra's
IRAM, along with a cookie to indicate validity.

The first time it's run, macro addruart in debug-macro.S looks for this
cookie, and if it's present, uses the UART address stored there. If not,
the static value TEGRA_DEBUG_UART_BASE is used, as was previous behaviour.
The static behaviour will thus be used when not booting using a zImage.

This work was inspired by work by Doug Anderson <dianders@chromium.org>;
see http://lkml.org/lkml/2011/9/26/284. However, this patch relies on
the data passing describe above, rather than duplicating the UART
selection logic in debug-macro.S; the latest selection logic is more
complex due to the need to check reset/clock bits too.

Stephen Warren fe2639892c ARM: tegra: uncompress.h: Choose a UART at runtime
With this change we automatically detect which UART to use for
for printing during decompression. The detection involves coordination
with the bootloader: it's expected that the bootloader will leave a
'D' (for [D]ebug) in the UART scratchpad register for whichever UART we
should use for debugging.

If we don't find any such UART, we fall back to the UART that was
specified during config time: CONFIG_TEGRA_DEBUG_UART_XXX.

As a side effect of this change, uncompress debug messages will work
if you've specified CONFIG_TEGRA_DEBUG_UART_NONE, provided the
bootloader obeys the protocol.

This change is in line with what is documented in
Documentation/arm/Booting.

Other approaches considered:
* Hardcode based on machine ID (as many other ARM boards do).
OK, but nice to not have yet another place to add per-board
code. Better to have bootloader parse device tree and pass us
  this info.
* Check for TXE bit (like SA1110). Nice (and doesn't require
a bootloader change), but a little less explicit. Also: if
bootloader (for some reason) uses another UART, it needs to
remember to turn it off before jumping to the kernel or we may
print to it. NOTE: adapting this patch to check TXE too would
  be easy if desired.

Stephen Warren e53b7d87cc ARM: tegra: Support Tegra30 in decompressor UART setup
On Tegra20, the UART clock runs at 216MHz, whereas on Tegra30 it runs at
408MHz. Modify arch_decomp_setup() to detect Tegra20-vs-Tegra30 at run-
time, and program the correct divisor.

This makes uncompressor messages work correctly on Tegra30. This also
fixes early printk, assuming zImage is used and this setup code runs.

v2: Use CHIPID register to differentiate between chips, rather than a
GIC register. This should be more future-proof. Volatile is required
to prevent the compiler transforming the 32-bit apb_misc register read
into an 8-bit read of address 1 higher, since the HW only supports 32-
bit accesses, and will hang on an 8-bit access.

Olof Johansson e2f91578b3 ARM: tegra: use APB DMA for accessing APB devices
Tegra2 hangs if APB registers are accessed from the cpu during an
apb dma operation. The workaround is to use apb dma to read/write the
registers instead.

There is a dependency loop between fuses, clocks, and APBDMA. If dma
is enabled, fuse reads must go through APBDMA to avoid corruption due
to a hw bug. APBDMA requires a clock to be enabled. Clocks must read
a fuse to determine allowable cpu frequencies.

Separate out the fuse DMA initialization, and allow the fuse read
and write functions to be called without using DMA before the DMA
initialization has been completed. Access to the fuses before APBDMA
is initialized won't hit the hardware bug because nothing else can be
using DMA.

For samsung platforms, remove the include of mach/system-reset.h and

just define their arch_reset functions. As a result, the s3c2410 and

Stephen Warren a58116f331 arm/tegra: Use bus notifiers to trigger pinmux setup
Currently, the Tegra pinmux is initialized at different times when booting
with and without device tree:

Without device tree:

1) Pinmux and GPIO drivers are registered.
2) Pinmux is configured.
3) All other drivers are registered.

With device tree:

1) All drivers are registered and probed, including pinmux and GPIO.
2) Pinmux is configured.

This change modifies board-pinmux.c to detect pinmux and GPIO driver
registration using bus notifiers. This allows pinmux configuration to
happen immediately after the pinmux driver is probed, irrespective of
whether the pinmux driver is manually registered by board-pinmux.c, or
if it's instantiated during device tree parsing.

To support this with device tree, the pinmux init functions must be
called prior to instantiating devices from device tree, so that the
notifiers are set up before-hand.

Marc Zyngier 2f0778afac ARM: 7205/2: sched_clock: allow sched_clock to be selected at runtime
sched_clock() is yet another blocker on the road to the single
image. This patch implements an idea by Russell King:

http://www.spinics.net/lists/linux-omap/msg49561.html

Instead of asking the platform to implement both sched_clock()
itself and the rollover callback, simply register a read()
function, and let the ARM code care about sched_clock() itself,
the conversion to ns and the rollover. sched_clock() uses
this read() function as an indirection to the platform code.
If the platform doesn't provide a read(), the code falls back
to the jiffy counter (just like the default sched_clock).

This allow some simplifications and possibly some footprint gain
when multiple platforms are compiled in. Among the drawbacks,
the removal of the *_fixed_sched_clock optimization which could
negatively impact some platforms (sa1100, tegra, versatile
and omap).

Tested on 11MPCore, OMAP4 and Tegra.

Peter De Schrijver 31e37a183e arm/tegra: add new fields to struct tegra_pingroup_desc
Add new fields to struct tegra_pingroup_desc to support new hardware features
introduced in the tegra30 SoC. The pinmux driver won't use those fields yet,
but the tegra30 pinmux tables will already provide the necessary data.
