The branch contains the following device tree changes the v3.17 merge
window: Group changes to the device tree. In preparation for adding device tree overlay support, OF_DYNAMIC is reworked so that a set of device tree changes can be prepared and applied to the tree all at once. OF_RECONFIG notifiers see the most significant change here so that users always get a consistent view of the tree. Notifiers generation is moved from before a change to after it, and notifiers for a group of changes are emitted after the entire block of changes have been applied Automatic console selection from DT. Console drivers can now use of_console_check() to see if the device node is specified as a console device. If so then it gets added as a preferred console. UART devices get this support automatically when uart_add_one_port() is called. DT unit tests no longer depend on pre-loaded data in the device tree. Data is loaded dynamically at the start of unit tests, and then unloaded again when the tests have completed. A handful of driver-related changes. We've had a bunch of them going in through
other branches as well, so it's only a part of what we really have this release.

Unlike the board branch, this keeps having large sets of changes for
every release, but that's quite expected and is so far working well.
Most of this is plumbing for various device bindings and new platforms,
but there's also a bit of cleanup and code removal for things that
are moved from platform code to DT contents (some OMAP clock code in
particular).
There's also a pinctrl driver for tegra here (appropriately acked),
that's introduced this way to make it more bisectable.
I'm happy to say that there were no conflicts at all with this branch
this release, which means that changes are flowing through our tree as
expected instead of merged through driver maintainers (or at least not
done with conflicts).
There are several new boards added, and a couple of SoCs. In no particular
order:
* Rockchip RK3288 SoC support, including DTS for a dev board that they
have seeded with some community developers.
* Better support for Hardkernel Exynos4-based ODROID boards.
* CCF conversions (and dtsi contents) for several Renesas platforms.
* Gumstix Pepper (TI AM335x) board support
* TI eval board support for AM437x
* Allwinner A23 SoC, very similar to existing ones which mostly has
resulted in DT changes for support. Also includes support for an Ippo
tablet with the chipset.
* Allwinner A31 Hummingbird board support, not to be confused with the
SolidRun i.MX-based Hummingboard.
* Tegra30 Apalis board support

ARM: SoC cleanups for 3.17
This merge window brings a good size of cleanups on various
platforms. Among the bigger ones:
* Removal of Samsung s5pc100 and s5p64xx platforms. Both of these have
lacked active support for quite a while, and after asking around nobody
showed interest in keeping them around. If needed, they could be
resurrected in the future but it's more likely that we would prefer
reintroduction of them as DT and multiplatform-enabled platforms
instead.
* OMAP4 controller code register define diet. They defined a lot of registers
that were never actually used, etc.
* Move of some of the Tegra platform code (PMC, APBIO, fuse, powergate)
to drivers/soc so it can be shared with 64-bit code. This also converts them
over to traditional driver models where possible.
* Removal of legacy gpio-samsung driver, since the last users have been
removed (moved to pinctrl)
Plus a bunch of smaller changes for various platforms that sort of
dissapear in the diffstat for the above. clps711x cleanups, shmobile
header file refactoring/moves for multiplatform friendliness, some misc
cleanups, etc.

This is the bulk pin control changes for the v3.17 merge

Staging driver patches for 3.17-rc1
Here's the big pull request for the staging driver tree for 3.17-rc1. Lots of things in here, over 2000 patches, but the best part is this: 1480 files changed, 39070 insertions(+), 254659 deletions(-) Thanks to the great work of Kristina Martšenko, 14 different staging drivers have been removed from the tree as they were obsolete and no one was willing to work on cleaning them up. Other than the driver removals, loads of cleanups are in here (comedi, lustre, etc.) as well as the usual IIO driver updates and additions. All of this has been in the linux-next tree for a while. ARM: dts: add rk3288 ehci usb devices
rk3288 has two kind of usb controller; this adds the ehci variant for host0 and hsic. At the moment we don't add any phys for these controllers, but the default settings seem to work OK. There is a hardware problem in ohci controller which make it unavailable and host0 controller can only support high-speed devices. There is no phy driver that works on the Rockchip board for either USB host port yet. For now just hardcode the vbus signal to be on all the time which makes both the dwc2 host and the EHCI port work. ARM: nomadik: fix up double inversion in DT
The GPIO pin connected to card detect was inverted twice: once by
the argument to the GPIO line itself where it was magically marked
as active low by the flag GPIO_ACTIVE_LOW (0x01) in the third cell,
and also marked active low AGAIN by explicitly stating
"cd-inverted" (a deprecated method).

Minimal regression fix for n900 display that got broken with
enabling of twl4030 PM features. Turns out more work is needed before we can enable twl4030 PM on n900.
