Ricard Wanderlof 3b7ce99748 ASoC: ics43432: Add codec driver for InvenSense ICS-43432
Add support for the InvenSense ICS-43432 I2S MEMS microphone.

This is a non-software-configurable MEMS microphone with I2S output.

Tested on a setup with a single ICS-43432 (the device itself supports
stereo operation using a hardware pin controlling left vs. right channel
output).

Arnd Bergmann 4c121129c9 ASoC: rt5677: fix SPI dependency
The rt5677 codec has gained code that requires SPI to work correctly,
but there is no provision in Kconfig to prevent the driver from
being used when SPI is disabled or a loadable module, resulting
in this build error:

sound/built-in.o: In function `rt5677_spi_write':
:(.text+0xa7ba0): undefined reference to `spi_sync'
sound/built-in.o: In function `rt5677_spi_driver_init':
:(.init.text+0x253c): undefined reference to `spi_register_driver'

ERROR: "spi_sync" [sound/soc/codecs/snd-soc-rt5677-spi.ko] undefined!
ERROR: "spi_register_driver" [sound/soc/codecs/snd-soc-rt5677-spi.ko] undefined!

This makes the SPI portion of the driver depend on the SPI subsystem,
and disables the function that uses SPI for firmware download if SPI
is disabled. The latter may not be the correct solution, but I could
not come up with a better one.

Bard Liao 07cf7cbadb ASoC: add RT286 CODEC driver
This patch adds Realtek ALC286 codec driver.

ALC286 is a dual mode codec, which can run as HD-A or I2S mode.
It is controlled by HD-A verb commands via I2C protocol.
The following is the I/O difference between ALC286 and general I2S codecs.
1. A HD-A verb command contains three parts, NID, VID, and PID.
And an I2S command contains only two parts: address and data.
2. Not only the register address is written, but the read command also
   includes the entire write command.
3. rt286 uses different registers for read and write the same bits.

We map verb command to regmap structure. However, we read most registers from
cache to prevent the asymmetry read/write issue in rt286.

Arnd Bergmann a2915d4fef ASoC: CS42L51 and WM8962 codecs depend on INPUT
Building ARM randconfig got into a situation where CONFIG_INPUT
is turned off and SND_SOC_ALL_CODECS is turned on, which failed
for two codecs trying to use the input subsystem. Some other
drivers also select one of these codecs and consequently need an
explicit dependency added.

Appending to the dependency list seems the easiest way out,
since this is not a practical limitation. If anyone really
needs to build these codecs for a kernel with no input support,
a more sophisticated solution can be implemented.

There are a few known (minor) problems with having the support code for both I2C

can be build as a module).
    * The module init path error handling is rather ugly. E.g. what should be

that implement SPI and I2C in the same module currently fallback to
undefined behavior in that case. Splitting the the driver into two

to continue without problems if one of them fails.

This patch splits the ADAV80X driver into 3 modules. One core module that

This patch splits the ssm2602 driver into 3 modules. One core module that
implements the device logic, but is independent of the bus method used. And one
module for SPI and I2C each that registers the drivers and sets up the regmap
struct for the bus.

While we are at it also cleanup the include section of the ssm2602 driver and
remove unneeded includes.

Lars-Peter Clausen 6c3d713e6d ASoC: ad193x: Split SPI and I2C code into different modules
There are a few known (minor) problems with having the support code for both I2C
and SPI in the same module:
    * We need to be extra careful to make sure to not build the driver into the
kernel if one of the subsystems is build as a module (Currently only I2C
can be build as a module).
    * The module init path error handling is rather ugly. E.g. what should be
done if either the SPI or the I2C driver fails to register? Most drivers
that implement SPI and I2C in the same module currently fallback to
undefined behavior in that case. Splitting the the driver into two
modules, one for each bus, allows the registration of the other bus driver
to continue without problems if one of them fails.

This patch splits the AD193X driver into 3 modules. One core module that
implements the device logic, but is independent of the bus method used. And one
module for SPI and I2C each that registers the drivers and sets up the regmap
struct for the bus.

Now that we have a generic card driver we can't rely on the card driver
selecting the CODECs for us so make the CODECs that can be enabled with
OF directly selectable in Kconfig. For the platforms not using OF it's
not clear that we don't still want to have some board specific selection
since the kernel needs to contain code to register the devices; ACPI could
provide this from firmware does not yet support any kind of generic card.

It may also be desirable to hide these if OF is not enabled to reduce

Daniel Mack 4fa89346fb ALSA: ASoC: add codec driver for TI TAS5086
This patch adds a driver for TI's TA5086 6-channel PWM processor.

This chip has a very unusual register layout, specifically because the
registers are of unequal size, and multi-byte registers require bulk
writes to take effect. Regmap does not support these kind of mappings.

Currently, the driver does not touch any of the registers >= 0x20, so
it doesn't matter, because the register map is mapped to an 8-bit array.
In case more features will be added in the future that require access
to higher registers, the entire regmap H/W I/O routines have to be
open-coded.

The option allows you to remove TTY and compile without errors. This

The bulk of this patch consists of Kconfig changes adding "depends on

"depends on SERIO", and "select" does not respect dependencies.

Mark Brown 2159ad936b ASoC: adsp: Add ADSP base support
Many current Wolfson devices feature DSPs based around an architecture
known as ADSP. Since there is a lot of commonality in the system
integration of these devices a common library will be used to provide
support for them.

This version provides equivalent support for ADSP1 to that currently
included in the WM2200 driver.

Matti Aaltonen 40285f832b [media] ASoC: WL1273 FM radio: Access I2C IO functions through pointers
These changes are needed to keep up with the changes in the
MFD core and V4L2 parts of the wl1273 FM radio driver.

Use function pointers instead of exported functions for I2C IO.
Also move all preprocessor constants from the wl1273.h to
include/linux/mfd/wl1273-core.h.

Also update the year in the copyright statement.
