Jason Wang ed0483fa06 macvtap: fix a possible race between queue selection and changing queues
Complier may generate codes that re-read the vlan->numvtaps during
macvtap_get_queue(). This may lead a race if vlan->numvtaps were changed in the
same time and which can lead unexpected result (e.g. very huge value).

We need prevent the compiler from generating such codes by adding an
ACCESS_ONCE() to make sure vlan->numvtaps were only read once.

Sergei Shtylyov afe391ad4b sh_eth: create initial ID table
We are trying to get away from the current driver's scheme of identifying a SoC
based on #ifdef's and the platform device ID table matching seems to be a good
replacement -- we can use the 'driver_data' field of 'struct platform_device_id'
as a pointer to a 'struct sh_eth_cpu_data'. Start by creating the initial table
with driver's name as the only entry without the driver data. Check the driver
data in the probe() method and if it's not NULL override 'mdp->cd' from it.

Jay Vosburgh 1b5acd2923 bonding: disallow change of MAC if fail_over_mac enabled
Currently, if fail_over_mac is set to active, then attempts to
change the MAC of the bond itself silently fail. However, if fail_over_mac
is set to follow, changes are permitted.

Permitting the bond's MAC to change with fail_over_mac=follow
will disrupt the follow functionality, which normally controls the
assignment of MAC address to the bond and its slaves, and can cause
multiple ports to be assigned the same MAC address. which will interfere
with the functioning of the device (where the device here is a
virtualization-aware card for s390, qeth).

Jay Vosburgh 303d1cbf61 bonding: Convert hw addr handling to sync/unsync, support ucast addresses
This patch converts bonding to use the dev_uc/mc_sync and
dev_uc/mc_sync_multiple functions for updating the hardware addresses
of bonding slaves.

The existing functions to add or remove addresses are removed,
and their functionality is replaced with calls to dev_mc_sync or
dev_mc_sync_multiple, depending upon the bonding mode.

Calls to dev_uc_sync and dev_uc_sync_multiple are also added,
so that unicast addresses added to a bond will be properly synced with
its slaves.

Various functions are renamed to better reflect the new
situation, and relevant comments are updated.

Thomas Petazzoni 8cc3e439ab net: mvneta: read MAC address from hardware when available
This patch improves the logic used by the mvneta driver to find a MAC
address for a particular interface. Until now, it was only looking at
the Device Tree, and if no address was found, was falling back to
generating a random MAC address.

This patch adds the intermediate solution of reading the MAC address
from the hardware registers, in case it has been set by the
bootloader. So the order is now:

 1) MAC address from the Device Tree
 2) MAC address from the hardware registers
 3) Random MAC address

This requires moving the MAC address initialization a little bit later
in the ->probe() code, because it now requires the hardware registers
to be remapped.

This patch sets the protocol selector bits (4:0) of the PHY's MII_ADVERTISE
register (ANAR) when writing ADVERTISE_ALL. The protocol selector bits are
indicating IEEE 803.3u support and are fixed / read-only on some PHYs. Not

Yuval Mintz 44dbc78ee4 bnx2x: Fix bridged GSO for 57710/57711 chips
It was recently found out that GSO on 57710/57711 was broken, due to packets
being sent without a valid IP checksum.

Commit 057cf65 "bnx2x: Fix GSO for 57710/57711 chips" partially fixed this
issue, but failed to set the correct IP checksum when receiving GSO packets
via bridges, as such packets enter bnx2x_tx_split() and the FW flags needed
to calculate IP checksum were erroneously set in the incorrect
buffer descriptor.

This patch re-enables GSO in said scenario for 57710/57711 chips.

Jay Hernandez e69972f52b cxgb4: Force uninitialized state if FW_ON_ADAPTER is < FW_VERSION and we're the MASTER_PF
Forcing uninitialized state allows us to upgrade and reinitialize the adapter.

FW_VERSION_T4 = 1.4.0.0
FW_VERSION_T5 = 0.0.0.0
At this point driver supports above and greater than above version of firmware.
If it doesn't find the required firmware version than it forces the adapter to
be reinitialized as shown below.

1) If FW_ON_ADAPTER < FW_VERSION and we're the MASTER_PF force uninitialized
state and a FW upgrade if available.

       - If FW_ON_ADAPTER < /lib/firmware/cxgb4/t*fw.bin we will update the
         adapters FW.
       - If FW_ON_ADAPTER >= /lib/firmware/cxgb4/t*fw.bin don't upgrade FW.
       - If upgrade_fw() fails force reinitialization of the adapter anyways,
         it might still work.

Either way forcing the uninitialized state allows cxgb4 reinitialize FW.

2) If FW_ON_ADAPTER >= FW_VERSION driver follows normal path.

David S. Miller fb68e2f438 Merge branch 'for-davem' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/linville/wireless
John W. Linville says:

====================
Please pull this batch of fixes intended for the 3.10 stream...

Regarding the NFC bits, Samuel says:

"This is the first batch of NFC fixes for 3.10, and it contains:

- 3 fixes for the NFC MEI support:
        * We now depend on the correct Kconfig symbol.
        * We register an MEI event callback whenever we enable an NFC device,
otherwise we fail to read anything after an enable/disable cycle.
        * We only disable an MEI device from its disable mey_phy_ops,
          preventing useless consecutive disable calls.

- An NFC Makefile cleanup, as I forgot to remove a commented out line when
moving the LLCP code to the NFC top level directory."

As for the mac80211 bits, Johannes says:

"This time I have a fix from Stanislaw for a stupid mistake I made in the
auth/assoc timeout changes, a fix from Felix for 64-bit traffic counters
and one from Helmut for address mask handling in mac80211. I also have a
few fixes myself for four different crashes reported by a few people."

And Johannes says this about the iwlwifi bit:

"This fixes a brown paper-bag bug that we really should've caught in
review. More details in the changelog for the fix."

On top of that...

Arend van Spriel and Hante Meuleman cooperate to send a series of AP
and P2P mode fixes for brcmfmac.

Gabor Juhos corrects a register offset for AR9550, avoiding a bus
error.

Dan Carpenter provides a fixup to some dmesg output in the atmel
driver.

And, finally...

Felix Fietkau not only gives us a trio of small AR934x fixes, but
also refactors the ath9k aggregation session start/stop handling
(using the generic mac80211 support) in order to avoid a deadlock.

Please let me know if there are problems!

Sebastian Hesselbarth cb85215ffc net: mv643xx_eth: proper initialization for Kirkwood SoCs
Ethernet controllers found on Kirkwood SoCs not only suffer from loosing
MAC address register contents on clock gating but also some important
registers are reset to values that would break ethernet. This patch
clears the CLK125_BYPASS_EN bit for DT enabled Kirkwood only by using
of_device_is_compatible() instead of #ifdefs. Non-DT Kirkwood is not
affected as it installs a clock gating workaround because of the MAC
address issue above. Other Orion SoCs do not suffer from register reset,
do not have the bit in question, or do not have the register at all.
Moreover, system controllers on PPC using this driver should also be
protected from clearing that bit.

During a PCI EEH/AER error recovery flow, if the device did not successfully
restart, the error_detected() hook may be called a second time with a
"perm_failure" state. This patch skips over driver cleanup for the second
invocation of the callback.

Also, Lancer error recovery code is fixed-up to handle these changes.

Johannes Berg debff6184c iwlwifi: mvm: implement D3 testing
For testing the D3 (WoWLAN) firmware, it is useful to be able
to run the firmware with instrumentation while the host isn't
sleeping and can poke at the firmware debug logging etc.

Implement this by a debugfs file. When the file is opened the
D3 firmware is loaded and all regular commands are blocked.
While the file is being read, poll the firmware's PME status
flag and report EOF once it changes to non-zero. When it is
closed, do (most of) the resume processing. This lets a user
just "cat" the file. Pressing Ctrl-C to kill the cat process
will resume the firwmare as though the platform resumed for
non-wireless reason and when the firmware wants to wake up
reading from the file automatically completes.

Unlike in real suspend, only disable interrupts and don't
reset the TX/RX hardware while in the test mode. This is a
workaround for some interrupt problems that happen only when
the PCIe link isn't fully reset (presumably by changing the
PCI config space registers which the core PCI code does.)

Note that while regular operations are blocked from sending
commands to the firmware, they could still be made and cause
strange mac80211 issues. Therefore, while using this testing
feature you need to be careful to not try to disconnect, roam
or similar, and will see warnings for such attempts.

Als note that this requires an upcoming firmware change to
tell the driver the location of the PME status flag in SRAM.
D3 test will fail if the firmware doesn't report the pointer.
