This mach has not seen any updates since the initial inclusion besides
generic cleanup. Furthermore:
- The i.MX23 covered in mach-mxs is just a renamed version of the
STMP378x.
- mach-stmp378x has a lot of reinvented interfaces, leaking all sorts of
mach-related includes into the drivers. One example is the dmaengine
which does not use the linux dmaengine-API but some privately exported
symbols. So drivers cannot be reused. mach-mxs does it better.
- There is only one board defined (which I couldn't find any trace of
despite being a development board). It has been converted to
mach-mxs in a previous patch.
Since the only user of this mach was converted, it means that
mach-stmp378x can go.

mach-related includes into the drivers. One example is the dmaengine
which does not use the linux dmaengine-API but some privately exported
symbols. So, drivers cannot be reused. mach-mxs is very similar and
does it better.
- It can be doubted that this worked at all. Check the DMA routines in
stmp37xx.c for copy/paste bugs. A lot of APBX-related stuff is
actually writing into registers for APBH.
- There is only one board defined (which I couldn't find any trace of
despite being a development board). In this board, only two devices
have resources, the debug uart and the application uart. Neither of
those have the needed custom drivers merged (and never will). debug
uart is amba-pl011 which has an in-kernel driver without the
mach-specific-stuff. appuart has a driver which was introduced for
mach-mxs, and this one is reusable for a properly done mach.
So, this single board registers only unsupported devices and the
generic code looks suspicious and has poor design. Delete this
stuff. If there is interest, it is wiser to restart using
mach-mxs.

The meaning of CONFIG_EMBEDDED has long since been obsoleted; the option
is used to configure any non-standard kernel with a much larger scope than
only small devices.
This patch renames the option to CONFIG_EXPERT in init/Kconfig and fixes
references to the option throughout the kernel. A new CONFIG_EMBEDDED
option is added that automatically selects CONFIG_EXPERT when enabled and
can be used in the future to isolate options that should only be
considered for embedded systems (RISC architectures, SLOB, etc).
Calling the option "EXPERT" more accurately represents its intention: only
expert users who understand the impact of the configuration changes they
are making should enable it.

This patch addresses below things
- Renaming existing omap3_defconfig which has OMAP2, OMAP3 and OMAP4 builds
enabled to more appropriate name 'omap2plus_defconfig'
- L1 cache shift is suppose to be 5 on OMAP4 where as it is 6 on previous
OMAPs. Keeping it to 5 is safer option for OMAP4 and previous OMAPs. For
OMAP3 only build the shift would be still 6
- Enable needed Errata's for OMAP4 to work with DMA based device drivers
CONFIG_PL310_ERRATA_588369=y
CONFIG_ARM_ERRATA_720789=y
- Enable the Micrel ethernet controller
CONFIG_KS8851=y
CONFIG_KS8851_MLL=y
With above three changes, OMAP4 ethernet, mmc etc works reliably.

With the recent changes to core ARM kernel code, we can now
boot SMP kernel on UP systems. Update omap3_defconfig to
enable SMP. This allows us to remove omap_4430sdp_defconfig.
In addition to enabling SMP, we also need to disable some
options to make the system boot:
- For some reason LOCK_STAT causes tons of
WARNING: at mm/percpu-vm.c:320 pcpu_alloc+0x2fc/0x888()
so disable it for now.
- MUSB init fails for multi-omap, disable it for now.
- LOCAL_TIMERS hangs on omap4, disable it for now.
Also disable DEBUG_LL as this should be only enabled for
debugging.

Kconfig to select support for omap2, 3 and 4 by default.
However, CONFIG_SMP won't currently work properly on
uniprocessor ARMs, or if support for earlier ARM cores
is selected in.
Fix this by updating omap_4430sdp_defconfig to not

Looks like CONFIG_FB_OMAP prevents somehow mounting root on MMC
at least on zoom3 for multi-omap. Disable CONFIG_FB until the
omap FB code is fixed.
This allows booting omap3_defconfig on various omaps. Tested on
2420-n8x0, 3430-n900, 3630-zoom3 and 4430-blaze. Note that n8x0
still has issues with starting user space because of TLS and
VFP.

These are needed for mounting root on MMC on many boards.

The bootloader on Nokia boards does not support updating
the kernel cmdline. For the other boards, the bootloader
provided cmdline will be used instead.
To mount root on n8x0, compile in also the MMC_OMAP.
It seems that the best way to mount root with the
new kernels on Nokia boards is to mount root on mmcblk0p2.
Note that n8x0 current has several issues booting with
omap3_defconfig: The bootloader has a 2MB limit for loading
kernels, so you may want to use kexec. Also ARMv6 does
not currently work with ARMv7 for VFP and TLS.

Recent DMA API changes broke compile for tusb6010. While
testing the fixes for tusb6010, I had to update the n8x0
defconfig quite a bit. Might as well merge it while at it
to make it more usable as we're using this to test the
multi-omap booting between V6 and V7 ARMs.
Also, anybody using n8x0 with a current kernel will most
likely want to mount root on the MMC instead of the onenand
to keep the Maemo install intact.

This patch moves the setup code for GPIO's and Voltage
Regulators from the board file mmc-twl4030.c to the
driver omap_hsmmc.c. PBIAS and other system control
configuration remains in the board file.
Moving GPIO code to the driver makes the board initialisation
code independent of when GPIO's are defined. That makes the
board initialisation now entirely independent of its original
twl4030 roots.
Moving Voltage Regulator code to the driver allows for further
development of regulator support in the core MMC code. It also
permits the MMC core to be compiled as a module, because the
board code no longer calls MMC core functions.

26-bit ARM support was removed a long time ago, and this symbol has
been defined to be 'y' ever since. As it's never disabled anymore,
we can kill it without any side effects.

The TWL4030 keypad driver is not enabled by default for zoom2 and zoom3
boards.
This patch will enable the same for both zoom2 and zoom3 boards.
Tested on zoom2(3430) and zoom3(3630) boards.

The existing htcherald_defconfig did not include mux support, which
prevented USB and other functionality from working out of the box.
This change updates the defconfig to add it in. It also aligns the
defconfig to the -rc8 kernel config.

Enable minimum features to boot omap4430 on es1.0 samples. v2 versions
removes the "CONFIG_SYSFS_DEPRECATED_V2" since it's deprecated. Without
this older file system doesn't boot. One need to upgrade the filesystem
if getting stuck in first init function.

Having one combined defconfig that is the superset of the individual
defconfigs for OMAP3 platforms is useful for easily finding build
errors. Not to mention convenient as a base if you want to boot several
platforms with a single kernel image.
