Victor Kaplansky 998b7b1db4 make: fix where dependency *.d are stored.
In rules like "bar/%.o: %.c" there is a difference between $(*D) and
$(@D). $(*D) expands to '.', while $(@D) expands to 'bar'. It is
cleaner to generate *.d in the same directory where appropriate *.o
resides. This allows precise including of dependency info from .d files.

As a hack, we also touch two sources for generated *.hex files. Without
this hack, anyone doing "git pull; make" will not get *.hex rebuilt
correctly since the dependency file would be missing.

Igor Mammedov 8ac6f7a6d6 pc: acpi-build: drop template patching and create Device(SMC) dynamically
patch moves SMC device into SSDT and creates it only
when device is present, which makes ACPI tables smaller
in default case when device is not present.

Also it fixes wrong IO range in CRS if "iobase"
property is set to a non default value.

PS:
Testing with XP shows that current default "iobase"
used SMC device conflicts with floppy controller IO,
but it's topic for another patch and I'd leave it
to SMC device author for resolving conflict.

Paolo Bonzini acd727e7cb acpi-dsdt: procedurally generate _PRT
This replaces the _PRT constant with a method that computes it.

The problem is that the DSDT+SSDT have grown from 2.0 to 2.1,
enough to cross the 8k barrier (we align the ACPI tables to 4k
before putting them in fw_cfg). This causes problems with
migration and the pc-i440fx-2.0 machine type.

The solution to the problem is to hardcode 64k as the limit,
but this doesn't solve the bug with pc-i440fx-2.0. The fix will be
for QEMU 2.1 to use exactly the same size as QEMU 2.0 for the
ACPI tables. First, however, we must make the actual AML
equal or smaller; to do this, rewrite _PRT in a way that saves
over 1k of bytecode.

Michael S. Tsirkin 8dcf525abc acpi-build: append description for non-hotplug
As reported in
http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.emulators.qemu/253987
Mac OSX actually requires describing all occupied slots
in ACPI - even if hotplug isn't enabled.

I didn't expect this so I dropped description of all
non hotpluggable slots from ACPI.
As a result: before
commit 99fd437dee (enable
hotplug for pci bridges), PCI cards show up in the "device tree" of OS X
(System Information). E.g., on MountainLion users have:

Hardware -> PCI Cards:

  Card Type Driver Installed Slot
*ethernet Ethernet Controller Yes PCI Slot 2
pci8086,2934 USB UHC Yes PCI Slot 29

  ethernet:

    Driver Installed: Yes
    MSI: No

Hardware -> Ethernet Cards

  ethernet:
    Type: Ethernet Controller
    Bus: PCI

    Vendor ID: 0x8086
    Device ID: 0x100e
    Subsystem Vendor ID: 0x1af4
    Subsystem ID: 0x1100

    Location: /System/Library/Extensions/...
    Version: 3.1.1b1

After commit 99fd437dee, users get:

Hardware -> PCI Cards:

This computer doesn't contain any PCI cards. If you installed PCI
cards, make sure they're properly installed.

Hardware -> Ethernet Cards

  ethernet:
    Type: Ethernet Controller
    Bus: PCI
    Vendor ID: 0x8086
    Device ID: 0x100e
    Subsystem Vendor ID: 0x1af4
    Subsystem ID: 0x1100
    Revision ID: 0x0003
    BSD name: en0
    Kext name: AppleIntel8254XEthernet.kext
    Location: /System/Library/Extensions/...
    Version: 3.1.1b1

Ethernet still works, but it's not showing up on the PCI bus, and it
no longer thinks it's plugged in to slot #2, as it used to before the
change.

To fix, append description for all occupied non hotpluggable PCI slots.

One need to be careful when doing this: VGA devices
are now described in SSDT, so we need to drop description from DSDT.
And ISA devices are used in DSDT so drop them from SSDT.

Michael S. Tsirkin 99fd437dee acpi-build: enable hotplug for PCI bridges
This enables support for device hotplug behind
pci bridges. Bridge devices themselves need
to be pre-configured on qemu command line.

Design:
    - at machine init time, assign "bsel" property to bridges with
      hotplug support
    - dynamically (At ACPI table read) generate ACPI code to handle
hotplug events for each bridge with "bsel" property

Note: ACPI doesn't support adding or removing bridges by hotplug.
We detect and prevent removal of bridges by hotplug,
unless they were added by hotplug previously
(and so, are not described by ACPI).

The ASL Optimizing Compiler version 20130823-32 [Sep 11 2013] issues the
    following warning.

            $ make

            […]

After changing the parameter from `NotSerialized` to `Serialized`, the
remark is indeed gone and there is no size change.

The remark was added in ACPICA version 20130517 [1] and gives the
    following explanation.

If a thread blocks within the method for any reason, and another thread
enters the method, the method will fail because an attempt will be
made to create the same (named) object twice.

In this case, issue a remark that the method should be marked
            serialized. ACPICA BZ 909.
