Group the AVB pins into similar groups as found in other sh-pfc drivers.
The pins can not be muxed between functions other than AVB, but their
drive strengths can be controlled.
The group avb_mdc containing ADV_MDC and ADV_MDIO is called avb_mdio on
R-Car Gen2 SoCs. In pfc-r8a7796 the avb_mdc group already existed and
is in use in DT. Therefore add the ADV_MDIO pin to the existing group
instead of renaming it.

The R8A7791 PFC driver was apparently based on the preliminary revisions
of the user's manual, which called all the I2C signals {SCL|SDA}<n> and
MOD_SEL register fields SEL_IIC<n> without making a difference between
two types of the I2C controllers used. The recent manual calls the
signals {I2C|IIC}<n>_{SCL|SDA> and the MOD_SEL fields SEL_{I2C|IIC}<n>

Recent pinctrl changes to allow dynamic allocation of pins exposed one
more issue with the pinctrl pins claimed early by the controller itself.
This caused a regression for IMX6 pinctrl hogs.
Before enabling the pin controller driver we need to wait until it has
been properly initialized, then claim the hogs, and only then enable it.
To fix the regression, split the code into pinctrl_claim_hogs() and
pinctrl_enable(). And then let's require that pinctrl_enable() is always
called by the pin controller driver when ready after calling
pinctrl_register_and_init().

The Pin Function Controller module in the R-Car H3 ES2.0 differs from
ES1.x in many ways.
The goal is twofold:
1. Support both the ES1.x and ES2.0 SoC revisions in a single binary
for now,
2. Make it clear which code supports ES1.x, so it can easily be
identified and removed later, when production SoCs are deemed
ubiquitous.
Hence this patch:
1. Extracts the support for R-Car H3 ES1.x into a separate file, as
the differences are quite large,
2. Adds code for detecting the SoC revision at runtime using the new
soc_device_match() API, and selecting pinctrl tables for the actual
SoC revision,
3. Replaces the core register and bitfield definitions by their
counterparts for R-Car H3 ES2.0.
The addition of pins, groups, and functions for the various on-chip
devices is left to subsequent patches.
The R-Car H3 ES2.0 register and bitfield definitions were extracted from
a patch in the BSP by Takeshi Kihara.

Merge tag 'sh-pfc-for-v4.11-tag1' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/geert/renesas-drivers into devel
pinctrl: sh-pfc: Updates for v4.11

- Add SDHI voltage switching for R-Car M2-N.
Commit df61b366af26 ("pinctrl: core: Use delayed work for hogs") caused a
regression at least with sh-pfc that is also a GPIO controller as
noted by Geert Uytterhoeven <geert@linux-m68k.org>.
As the original pinctrl_register() has issues calling pin controller
driver functions early before the controller has finished registering,
we can't just revert commit df61b366af26. That would break the drivers
using GENERIC_PINCTRL_GROUPS or GENERIC_PINMUX_FUNCTIONS.
So let's fix the issue with the following steps as a single patch:
1. Revert the late_init parts of commit df61b366af26.
The late_init clearly won't work and we have to just give up
on fixing pinctrl_register() for GENERIC_PINCTRL_GROUPS and
GENERIC_PINMUX_FUNCTIONS.
2. Split pinctrl_register() into two parts
By splitting pinctrl_register() into pinctrl_init_controller()
and pinctrl_create_and_start() we have better control over when
it's safe to call pinctrl_create().
3. Introduce a new pinctrl_register_and_init() function
As suggested by Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org>, we
can just introduce a new function for the controllers that need
pinctrl_create() called later.
4. Convert the four known problem cases to use new function
Let's convert pinctrl-imx, pinctrl-single, sh-pfc and ti-iodelay
to use the new function to fix the issues. The rest of the drivers
can be converted later. Let's also update Documentation/pinctrl.txt
accordingly because of the known issues with pinctrl_register().

On some SoC there are no simple mapping of pins to bias register bits
and a lookup table is needed. This logic is already implemented in some
SoC specific drivers that could benefit from a generic implementation.
Add helpers to deal with the lookup which later can be used by the SoC
specific drivers. The logic used to lookup are different from the one it
aims to replace, this is intentional. This new method reduces the memory
consumption at the cost of increased CPU usage and fix a bug where a
WARN() would incorrectly be triggered if the register offset is 0.

Always stating PIN_CONFIG_BIAS_DISABLE is supported gives untrue output
when examining /sys/kernel/debug/pinctrl/e6060000.pfc/pinconf-pins if
the operation get_bias() is implemented but the pin is not handled by
the get_bias() implementation. In that case the output will state that
"input bias disabled" indicating that this pin has bias control
support.
Make support for PIN_CONFIG_BIAS_DISABLE depend on that the pin either
supports SH_PFC_PIN_CFG_PULL_UP or SH_PFC_PIN_CFG_PULL_DOWN. This also
solves the issue where SoC specific implementations print error messages
if their particular implementation of {set,get}_bias() is called with a
pin it does not know about.

The Renesas Pin Function Controller uses two header files:
- sh_pfc.h, for use by both core code and SoC-specific drivers,
- core.h, for internal use by the core code only.
Several SoC-specific drivers include core.h, as they need the sh_pfc
structure, which is passed explicitly to the various SoC-specific
callbacks, and used there.
Hence move its definition from core.h to sh_pfc.h, and remove the
inclusion of core.h from all SoC-specific files.

- Support for natively single-ended GPIO driver stages. This
means that if the hardware has registers to configure open
drain or open source configuration, we use that rather than
(as we did before) try to emulate it by switching the line
to an input to get high impedance. This is also documented
throughly in Documentation/gpio/driver.txt for those of you
who did not understand one word of what I just wrote.
- Start to do away with the unnecessarily complex and
unitelligible ARCH_REQUIRE_GPIOLIB and
ARCH_WANT_OPTIONAL_GPIOLIB, another evolutional artifact from
the time when the GPIO subsystem was unmaintained. Archs can
now just select GPIOLIB and be done with it, cleanups to
arches will trickle in for the next kernel. Some minor archs
ACKed the changes immediately so these are included in this

- Advancing the use of the data pointer inside the GPIO device
for storing driver data by switching the PowerPC, Super-H
Unicore and a few other subarches or subsystem drivers in
ALSA SoC, Input, serial, SSB, staging etc to use it.
- The initialization now reads the input/output state of the
GPIO lines, so that each GPIO descriptor knows - if this
callback is implemented - whether the line is input or
output. This also reflects nicely in userspace "lsgpio".
- It is now possible to name GPIO producer names, line names,
from the device tree. (Platform data has been supported for
a while.) I bet we will get a similar mechanism for ACPI
one of those days. This makes is possible to get sensible
producer names for e.g. GPIO rails in "lsgpio" in userspace.

pinctrl: sh-pfc: Updates for v4.7 (take two)
- Support for the Display Unit on R-Car E2.
r8a7794 PFC DU support from the R-Car Gen2 v1.9.4 BSP
[Magnus: added the description, added missing dot clock output signals,
separated CDE and DISP signals, broke out the ODDF signal from the sync
group.]
[Sergei: resolved rejects, folded in Magnus' patches, killed empty lines,
reordered pin/mux arrays and pin groups, fixed up some comments to the pin
arrays, removed the "du" function splitting its groups between the "du0"
and "du1" functions.]

If pinctrl_provide_dummies() is used unconditionally, then the dummy
state will be used even on DT platforms when the "init" state was
intentionally left out. Instead of "default", the dummy "init" state
will then be used during probe. Thus, when probing an I2C controller on
cold boot, communication triggered by bus notifiers broke because the
pins were not initialized.
Do it like OMAP2: use the dummy state only for non-DT platforms.

Define the drive strength registers for the R8A7795. As the PFC driver
for the SoC only defines GPIO pins at the moment, limit drive strength
support to those pins. Pins without GPIO capabilities will be supported
later.

Gen2 / Gen3 datasheet will have below note in next version.
This patch follows this note.
IPSRx and MOD_SELx registers shall be set before setting GPSRx
registers in case that they need to be configured.
MOD_SELx registers can be set either earlier or later than setting
IPSRx registers.

This change will also make Coverity happy by avoiding a theoretical NULL
pointer dereference; yet another reason is to use the above helper function
to tighten the code and make it more readable.

The Kconfig / Makefile currently controlling compilation of this code is:
drivers/pinctrl/sh-pfc/Makefile:obj-$(CONFIG_PINCTRL_SH_PFC) += sh-pfc.o
drivers/pinctrl/sh-pfc/Makefile:sh-pfc-objs = core.o pinctrl.o
drivers/pinctrl/sh-pfc/Kconfig:config PINCTRL_SH_PFC
drivers/pinctrl/sh-pfc/Kconfig: def_bool y
...meaning that it currently is not being built as a module by anyone.
Lets remove the modular code that is essentially orphaned, so that
when reading the driver there is no doubt it is builtin-only.
Since module_init already wasn't being used in this code, the init
ordering remains unchanged with this commit.
Also note that MODULE_DEVICE_TABLE is a no-op for non-modular code.
We also delete the MODULE_LICENSE tag etc. since all that information
was (or is now) contained at the top of the file in the comments.

Make use of ARCH_RENESAS in place of ARCH_SHMOBILE.
This is part of an ongoing process to migrate from ARCH_SHMOBILE to
ARCH_RENESAS the motivation for which being that RENESAS seems to be a more
appropriate name than SHMOBILE for the majority of Renesas ARM based SoCs.

The sh-pfc pinctrl driver is currently handling SoC-specific
PFC hardware blocks on ARM64, ARM and SH architectures.
For older SoCs using SH cores and some 32-bit ARM SoCs the PFC
hardware also provides GPIO functionality. On the majority of
32-bit ARM SoCs from Renesas and so far all ARM64 SoCs the GPIO
feature is provided by separate hardware blocks.
So far GPIO support in the PFC driver has been compiled-in for
the majority of the SoCs, but with this patch applied the SoCs
with PFC support may select from one of the following:
- CONFIG_PINCTRL_SH_PFC - Used if PFC lacks GPIO hardware
- CONFIG_PINCTRL_SH_PFC_GPIO - Used if PFC includes GPIO support
This patch results in the following changes:
- The GPIO functionality is only compiled-in on relevant SoCs
- The number of lines of code is reduced
Build tested using the following configurations:
- r8a7795 -> CONFIG_PINCTRL_SH_PFC_GPIO=n -> OK (ARM64)
- r8a7790 -> CONFIG_PINCTRL_SH_PFC_GPIO=n -> OK (ARM)
- r8a7790 + r8a7740 -> CONFIG_PINCTRL_SH_PFC_GPIO=y -> OK (ARM)
- r8a7740 -> CONFIG_PINCTRL_SH_PFC_GPIO=y -> OK (ARM)
- sh7751 -> CONFIG_PINCTRL_SH_PFC=n -> OK (SH rts7751r2d1)
- sh7724 -> CONFIG_PINCTRL_SH_PFC_GPIO=y -> OK (SH ecovec24)

Most pins on the r8a7795 SoC can be configured in GPIO mode for
interrupt and GPIO functionality, while a couple of them can also
be routed to the INTC-EX hardware block (formerly known as IRQC).
On r8a7795 the INTC-EX hardware handles pins IRQ0 -> IRQ5 and
this patch adds support for them to the PFC driver as "intc_ex_irqN".
Tested on r8a7795 Salvator-X with an external loop back adapter on
EXIO_D that connects pin 9 (IRQ2/GP2_02) and pin 26 (ExA22/GP2_06).
